The 15 Best Bread Bakeries in Paris | Eater

"It’s not uncommon to see lines stretching down the street at one of Urban Bakery’s eight Parisian locations. Emerging in 2021, when sourdough and focaccia were entirely in vogue in the city, Urban Bakery exclusively utilizes 100-percent organic flour from France in its bread and baked goods. Join the queue to pick up an iconic “titi” baguette (each location sells up to 1,000 per day), the sourdough wheat “baby meule,” or the butter- and milk-free braided brioche. Located in the 20th arrondissement. Ajiri Aki" - Dayna Evans

This is my favorite patisserie in Paris. I hate to rave about it for fear of an influencer ruining it. Everything here is exceptional. I live in San Francisco so I know amazing food. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose here. Even simple banana bread is other worldly. I go in for one thing and come out with 6!

Staff were very welcoming, kind and generous. Gave my friends and I a pastry to try on the house. Pastries and Cake were delicious, smells fantastic inside. Will visit again when I come back!

Someone needs to explain that spelt (épautre) is in no way gluten free. In fact depending on the type of spelt it can contain 20% more gluten then regular wheat! These folks sell a spelt bread and label it "sans gluten", which is completely crazy (and dangerous).

Really inconsistent produce, the most burned items I ate during my time in france - not charred black but definitely "this looks (and tastes) like it was in the oven a little too long". I eventually stopped using the place and went to other bakeries on the street. If you are in the area give it a try but if you are passing through i would try another bakery.

Cons

Nice bakery, good products, prices are what they are in Paris
