Where to Find Cheese Fondue in Portland | Eater Portland

"Since 2004, Portland’s homegrown fondue emporium has sat in Nob Hill, dropping off pots of melty cheese and chocolate at tables of enthusiastic families and couples on dates. Outside of the obvious chain that will appear on this map, Urban Fondue serves the widest variety of molten cheese in town, made with a variety of bases: Smoked cheddar, Brie and Gorgonzola, mozzarella, Swiss and gruyere. Fondue options range from hyper-traditional to off-the-wall — take, for example, the pesto caprese, which comes with cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, and balsamic. Fondue specials rotate monthly, and for dessert, the restaurant offers a staggering array of chocolate, caramel, and butterscotch fondues." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Where to Find the Cheesiest Dishes in Portland and Beyond | Eater Portland

"Fondue is fancy enough, but fondue with black truffles from the Willamette Valley? Or what about an uber-creamy Gorgonzola and brie blend? Experiment with different fondue flavors and creations at this cozy Nob Hill spot. Of the restaurant’s five standing fondue variants, standouts include the Ruby Port made with Swiss and Gruyère cheeses, caramelized sweet onions, and port, as well as the pesto caprese with mozzarella cheese, basil pesto, cherry tomatoes, and balsamic. For dipping sides, the restaurant offers bread chunks, vegetables, and sausage." - Zoe Baillargeon

Google
Food was good... was weird that you had to "add on" dippers (for the cheese). As there was only bread. Small portions on the actual main entrees. But the cheese and chocolate was abundant. Price was $35 (Happy Hour) and $40 (Regular Price). Super friendly staff and very on-top of everything. Everything tasted very good- just on the smaller side. Nice having a variety of different sauces (this Blackberry Balsamic Vinegarette - was MAGIC on red meats)!!!!! And their truffle mac/cheese was RIDICULOUSSSSSS!!!! 😋 Still standing by my "bit pricey for what you get" - and a but overrated in my opinion.

PORTLAND GEM This spot has fantastic food, excellent cocktails, wonderful service, and a price point that doesn’t break the bank. My daughter and I took advantage of their happy hour special fondue experience for $70. We were blown away by the quality and amount of grub you get for the money. The experience comes with a cheese course that includes a side, an entree with a broth, and a dessert. The Swiss fondue with truffle is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Perfectly melted and very tasty. Kid opted for “Chef’s Cut” and I got the “East Meets West.” We adored the urban yosenabe broth and would be hard-pressed to select a different one in the future. Definitely don’t cook in the broth for the recommended time, as it makes the seafood way over done and meat kinda over done. Dessert Rocky Road was really amazing, but I would like to see more fresh fruit on the tray instead of cookie/cheesecake/cream puff. Server was lovely and I was really impressed with all their staff. We will definitely be back soon.

I love love love this place! If you go during the martini happy hour it’s even better! But the black truffle fondue with the bread is my fav, and the Thai broth is also amazing with the meats and veggies you choose. I come here every birthday and will continue. Amazing place!

Google
A local gave us this recommendation for a good place to eat. It was an excellent experience and a GREAT value. The prix fixe menu gave us so much food we had to take dessert home! Excellent service. Delicious. The Oregon Black Truffle cheese with the cauliflower first course. Mmmmm..so good!

Google
We ate the first time. Nice and cozy ambiance. The service was excellent. It is a unique experience to eat in non-traditional settings. We have tried cheese with cauliflower and bread. Chicken and tomatoes broth were excellent to cook veggies , patatoes, and chicken . They have provided a 3-minute clock to monitor cooking. Variety of sauces were very good and authentic .

Google
This place was great! We got there right at opening time, 15 minutes before our reservation, and we got seated immediately. Our waiter was amazing! Since we hadn't been there before, he explained the different options for ordering. He was attentive, friendly and helpful. And while the food was great, he made our visit amazing! We didn't want left overs so we ordered à la carte. We got two different types of cheese fondue, the Brie and Gorgonzola plus the Ruby Port Swiss and Gruyère with blueberries. They were so different in flavor but complemented each other wonderfully. It came with unlimited bread which I'm sure was baked that day but we added a fruit plate which was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this for a date night or if you're craving reasonably priced fondue. Update: We have been here a couple more times for the fondue. It has always been a great experience. The bread is always fresh, as is the fruit plate. We always get the Brie and Gorgonzola fondue and then whatever that month's special is. The special has always been good but nothing yet has surpassed the flavor of the Brie and Gorgonzola.

Google
The food was amazing! Definitely recommend the Fondue Experience. The noise level was a bit unbearable, as we had to yell to be heard. But overall, an enjoyable experience!

Google
We went there for anniversary. The food was fantastic. When I made my reservations I had requested a booth, instead we got a table. There was a booth available and the next person that came in got it. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

Yelp
While walking around on a hot night, my husband and I spotted this place and decided to walk in. It was early, not even 6 pm, and the server asked if we had a reservation and even though we did not, we were seated quickly. We decided to split the ruby port fondue that comes with bread, and we added cauliflower and potatoes as a la carte items. It was really tasty. The ruby port had such a great depth of flavor, and both the potatoes and cauliflower were great. The only downside was despite it not being very busy, the service was not great. No one stopped by the table to ask if we wanted anything else until we were almost done eating. We were just coming in for the cheese fondue, but it would have been nice to get more water or another drink option throughout the meal.

Yelp
So we were on NW 23rd on a Saturday. My friend suggested stopping by to tried it out. Small restaurant. Maybe seating up to 50 people the most. Velvet chairs. We ordered a cheese fondue with pesto caprese fondue and urban fondue for 2 that comes with a sampler plate of meat and seafood. The urban fondue you can choose what broth you want and we ordered the Vietnamese Pho broth. There are 6 types of broth to choose your liking to. From roasted chicken to tomato fennel. Anything will work with the meat and seafood. This reminds me of an appetizer menu. You get to try everything. The fondue camebwitb 10 dipping sauces. The food was good. It's good to try out. The urban fondue was enough for 2 light eaters. Kinda of a theme of romantic but not. Velvet, take it or leave it. Maybe more lighting.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place more stars for ambiance and service, as both were great on our visit, but the cons were insurmountable to me. The first red alert was, upon visiting the ladies room, I found they were out of both soap and hand towels, which, at 7pm on a Sat night, meant no one in the restaurant was washing their hands! The next issue was the food. The two cheese fondue selections were good, with bread and sides served along with. The real problem was the main entree selections. Mine had pork, chicken, shrimp & scallops, which you cook by putting it into the broth in the fondue pot. My scallops were absolutely disgusting: The first I tried to skewer fell apart (bad sign), I cooked the next but when I ate it, I could tell it was old. It was so gross I almost spit it out! They smelled off. We told the server who comped part of our meal, but she said the chef insisted they were fresh. I grew up with a commercial fisherman father, and know for a fact they were bad. Also, both broths we had were lackluster and bland, adding very little to the dishes. And the side dish of tortellini was odd; it took too long to cook and didn't have any flavor. As mentioned, service was fine, and cool interior, but I won't be back.

Yelp
I still will never understand why people do not come here over other fondue places. The food is far better with a much better environment and way better service. They can continue to so that I get a table when I want to. The 'experience' gets you 3 courses with a side also - I highly recommend the fingerling potatoes. I also will say that if you do want to spend... grab a couple drinks which are made by Bartini and are incredible! I have had birthday gatherings here and been to other friend gatherings. They have a great space for that and are super helpful no matter what you need. Genuinely, I have been going here over a decade and have nothing but great things to say. It is also deep enough in that it never feels touristy also... though while dining here the other night there was a couple guys watching Ducks football on their cell phone which was a bit much.

Yelp
A haiku review: Wet, hot, melty cheese Dip all the goodies in there Mushrooms slap so hard When second course came The meat was laborious You must have patience Stick your meat in broth Feel like a primal caveman Enjoy your hot feast

Yelp
We went here because we didn't want to go to melting pot and this place had slightly better reviews. The pricing was also very reasonable too. Walking in the place was very nice- very clean, cohesive and hoped. I was not a big fan of the velvet seats but that's just me. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable on the sauces and broths that were offered and was able to give good recommendations. The only off putting thing was that one came and wiped down our table between entree and desert, leaving a chemical and stale food smell. The food is why I am having to give such a low score. The cheese and caramel came out so liquidy that it didn't stay on the bread/fruit. The broth (we chose pho- said it had heat) was very bland. The basil Caprese cheese was good and wish it came with more.we got the cooked mushrooms and they were is a gross brown gravy. I ordered the seafood entree my husband ordered the pork. It was very small portions for an entree and were wanting more. My salmon had a VERY fishy off putting smell and my oyster turned to mush. The server said she has never seen that before and no one's ever complained. For dessert we got the foster banana pot. Again the caramel didn't stay on the fruit. The cheesecake, eclair, and cookie dough was frozen. We left disappointed and decided we won't be going back. Our bill came out to over 90 with our 1 beer each.

Yelp
Service was spot on! Waitress was kind, informative and well-timed; not too frequently visiting but we were never without. I was there early and was accommodated. Food is delicious but good golly it is spendy. Be prepared for that, but also a great evening of interactive dining.
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
The food was great! Loved that we had so many cheese fondue choices. There were so many good options, and I loved that we could do a la carte without it costing more than the Fondue Experience. The velvet seat were cute, and I liked the light fixtures. Our servers were kind and attentive. Would recommend this place, and we plan on coming again!

Yelp
I enjoyed my first experience at Urban Fondue. It was fun to pick out the various cheeses and broths to accompany fish and meat options. Overall, I felt like the whole experience met my expectations. Our waitress was so sweet and brought our bride to be a surprise drink to celebrate. She was very good at her job and made us feel welcomed. The ambiance is a little odd but if you can get past the red walls and somehow cold feeling, then you'll be just fine!

Yelp
Another amazing dinner at Urban Fondue. Our server was fantastic & was so helpful when we were making our menu choices. It feels like such a personable experience every time we come here and the atmosphere is so intimate and cozy and the food was delicious as always. Highly recommend the port cheese fondue. Will always come back to Urban Fondue!

Yelp
I went to Urban Fondue yesterday with my family for my birthday celebration. While the waitress was nice, the service was very, very poor. Our reservation was at 7pm. We did not get our first round (cheese and sides) until 7:45pm. When the cheese and sides came out, the sides (sausage and cauliflower) were completely cold. You could tell they had been sitting for a long time before they were brought out to the table. The waitress had also taken my drink order and then probably 10-15mins later came back and said that "the drink orders sometimes go in one ear and out the other) so she retook my drink order. When the entrees came out (meats/broth), the sauces were not provided at that time. We had already gotten through 2 rounds of cooking the meats/veggies before the sauces were there. We did not end up leaving the restaurant until 9:30. So we were there for 2.5 hrs which was spent by mostly waiting. Very disappointed for my birthday dinner.

Yelp
It had been a very long time since we had been to a fondue place but it brought back wonderful memories of the experience. Fondue is not like more modern cook your own food places; it's more of an intimate and fun experience. The cheese fondue that we chose was brie and gorgonzola, which was extremely tasty, rich, creamy, and yummy. For an entree we had the steak and lobster. It was a small portion but still very tasty. The gratin Yukon potatoes for a side dish was also superb with lots of creamy cheese.
google avatar

Barbra Jean J.

Yelp
We prefer the Melting Pot as the meat options here are more limited, and far less in quantity. But the cocktails were very good. My husband said the bathroom was very dirty and the booth we sat in also needed cleaned. I wish the entree had been better.

Yelp
I love "interactive eating" such as fondue, so I was happy to find this place in Portland. We were able to walk to Urban Fondue from our hotel, and while it's not in the greatest of neighborhoods, if you don't go there alone, I feel like it's safe enough. Not sure you'd want to get fondue solo, anyway. The ambiance in Urban Fondue is quiet, and the private booths made it romantic. We were seated at a table that looked out the window, so that was...interesting (like I said, not the best neighborhood). It was a relaxing experience, and I felt like lingering over our meal was encouraged. The food quality was good, and portions were generous. We definitely ordered too much food, and had to leave some uneaten. The "cooks" (us) did an excellent job, lol. I appreciated the hostess, who was very attentive to my food allergies and made sure to inform me which of the dipping sauces I should avoid. Even though fondue sounds fancy and there were plenty of choices, I think our favorite food to dip were the tater tots!! They were so perfectly crispy that I coudn't stop eating them. The servers probably thought we were nuts to order a second batch of them, yet leave behind some of the proteins. If you've got an evening to have a "slow" meal, check out Urban Fondue. It was fun!

Yelp
Gluten free options and great drinks! Very dark inside though. Literally sitting in the dark

Yelp
I have been coming to Urban Fondue since college and love it so much more than any other fondue place in town. My husband and I came in last week for our anniversary, I haven't been in since pre-pandemic. The quality is as great as ever, everything we had was delicious. I will say, the portions are smaller than ever and the prices are higher than ever. It was a noticeable shift for a semi regular. I was bummed to see very little fruit with the chocolate fondue and just fewer items overall as sides with the entrees. There were also fewer menu items in general and my favorite, the white cheddar caraway was gone. However, they do now have a black truffle that I hadn't had before (either new or I've overlooked it) and it was SO good. I highly recommend that fondue. We ended the night by ordering Tiramasu fondue, but they brought us the wrong one. We liked it but weren't sure what it was. I will always come here, but I do hope to see more of what I used to love so much about it come back in the future.

Yelp
Good food, lots of choices on the menu to choose from. Attentive, friendly employees. The restaurant is dark, well decorated; good atmosphere for a date. The music was 1970s disco--seemed a little out of place, but it could be worse. (Since fondue is Swiss, some Swiss music would be awesome!) Reservations are recommended but not required. I love all the sauces they give for dipping. The only negatives are that the cost is high, parking is hard to find, and you'll probably have to pay for it. Expect to dine for at least an hour.

Renee F.

Yelp
Starting off with phenomenal service we were explained how the menu worked for the fondue experience. We had the smoked cheddar and port wine and Swiss cheese both were flavorful we added sides of the fruit and button mushrooms which were perfect addition to the bread. The entrees were fresh and flavorful - we had seafood , vegetarian and steak cooked in pho broth and tomato broth each with their unique flavors. We finished with Black Forest chocolate fondu all around an amazing meal and great ambience
google avatar

Crystal-byron T.

Yelp
Great service, yummy food, and nice setting. We will be back. The port fondue was super tasty! They had 9 different dipping sauces.
google avatar

Don G.

Yelp
Ok, if I was just rating the bread and cheese portion it would be a 5 star review. The "entree" is just ok. I've never been a hug fan of that part of the meal. My wife loves it! The dessert is just too sweet for me but that's a personal preference. We were in on a Tuesday and staffing was limited, but the only woman working was amazing. I wish I got her name. She was able to handle things well.
google avatar

Alana K.

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend on a Tuesday night about a month ago. We made reservations. Even though it was the middle of the week, it was still pretty busy. Unfortunately, they were slightly understaffed. There was one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant! However, she was really nice and as attentive as she could have been given the situation. We decided to try the "fondue experience," which is 1 side, 1 cheese fondue, 1 entrée selection each, and 1 dessert fondue. We ordered the cauliflower for the side and the Ruby Port fondue, which we really liked. For the entrées, we picked East Meets West and the Vegetarian one. They were okay; if I went back, I feel like I could probably skip the entrée. For dessert, we had the tiramisu fondue. Overall, we really liked both fondues, but the entrées felt unnecessary. I would recommend just getting a cheese and a dessert fondue.

Kayla D.

Yelp
Ezra was so kind and gave us the best recommendations. Everything tasted so good, the cheese and marion berry cheesecake were the best.

Tyler L.

Yelp
Me and my wife went here for the first time on a date to have a romantic night together. How ever with in the 35 minute drive home my stomach got super upset ! Needless to say couldn't get out of the bathroom for a long time and the next day my wife felt like she had food poisoning , her lips got red and started swelling up less then 4 hours later and her hole body began to hurt as though she had the flu. Very poor food quality. So sad really wanted this to work out we both love fondue . O well maybe date night will be at Ruth Chris !
google avatar

Tim L.

Yelp
Ambience is dreadful, cold and completely uncomfortable in design. Service was extremely slow for us while most other diners came and went long before we had eaten our fondue house special.
google avatar

Megan H.

Yelp
I seriously love this place. We have been several times before and ugh it's just great. They have a lovely Fondue for two. It comes with a cheese fondue to share, broth/entree, and a dessert. You can add on the "fondue experience" for $8 more and it comes with all the meats - pork, chicken, sausage, lobster, shrimp, scallops, and salmon. We tried their truffle cheese fondue and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering but was there and delicious. We tried the tomato fennel broth. I was worried it would just taste like tomato soup, but it was fairly light and white flavorful. They have a list of sauces and you get all of them so no worries on choosing. We also had the bananas foster dessert fondue. My good was it rich. It was so flavorful and so delicious but we could barely get through half after everything else. For all of that, including soda and tip it was just over $100. So with it!
google avatar

Wenday L.

Yelp
This is my favorite fondue restaurant in Portland. I highly recommend getting tater tots and roasted cauliflower add-ons for the cheese fondue. It's also great that you can order drinks from Bartini next door. Their martinis are fantastic!
google avatar

Matthew L.

Yelp
Love this place. We live in California- when we visit Portland we make reservations for two nights there. Wife loves this place. Can you ever get enough cheese?
google avatar

Anthony C.

Yelp
A great place for a group gathering or a couple. You can have dessert fondu which is perfect for that special date. I've been here a few times and it's in a great location to walk around and chillax. I recommend the fondu though. Weekends can be crowded though so be sure to get there early or call in. Their drinks are yummy too. In the fondu they use sweets and fruits if I remember correctly, but it's awesome! The pricing is reasonable and parking can be found on the streets surrounding.
google avatar

Ann N.

Yelp
If you like Melting Pot, you will like Urban Fondue. Small and quaint but not too small, it's a perfect place for date night or a small get-to-gether. Dark and seductive with minimal decor. I came with a friend and my kid and we had an excellent time. The menu is overwhelming even with the waitress explaining it to us. We went with her recommendation which was to choose 2 fondue's, a side, and a main. We chose 2 cheeses (or you can have one cheese and one dessert) and they were both excellent (cheddar and Oregon black truffle) we agreed the truffle was our favorite. Both cheeses are hearty. Sausage and fingerling potatoes were our sides. All yum. I will say there is quite a bit of delayed time before your entree comes out. Not sure if that was the norm, but by the time we had our entrees, we were already full from the bread. To cook your entree, you are given a selection of broths to choose from. We chose seasoned firepot. It has a tomato base and was tasty. You almost don't need the dipping sauces and my table didn't even use them. I tried them and wasn't excited by them since the broth was fully seasoned. I had the fin and shellfish, kid had steak and lobster and my friend had lobster & prawns. All good. I wasn't in the mood for the veggies it comes with, but my kid ate my broccoli. Must be delish. My friend had a delicious drink that a table next to us had that was recommended. We definitely had no room for dessert, but my friend got one to go. It was about $55/pp without tip. The "fondue experience" is $39.99 but an extra $10 if you order lobster w fondue. I think that didn't make sense since we didn't dip our lobster into the cheese but everything absolutely was delicious and we were attended to quite often.
google avatar

Traci M.

Yelp
Came in for date night, interior was pretty, service was good at first but then seemed to tail off after we ate, having to grab the hostess to pay/get water/another round of drinks. We ordered the ruby port fondue with potatoes, cauliflower and bread. I thought the cheese was very yummy and the potatoes and cauli I could eat on their own they were cooked well. Talking to a friend later this place apparently has a great hh and late night hh. Definitely want to come back and try the other cheese options.

Ken W.

Yelp
We wanted fondue and decided to try this place. We've been to the Melting Pot many times and prefer it more. It was overpriced for the amount of food that we received. The pieces of meat were small and not a lot of quantity. We ordered a dessert fondue and it was ok. Some of the pieces of cake were still frozen in the middle. We went away disappointed.
google avatar

Rani R.

Yelp
Great experience! The food was good also and changed my thoughts of what Fondue was. I thought it was only about dipping bread in cheese. You can do that but what we had was the dinner was steak, pork, sausage, salmon chicken and sea food to include lobster. The broth was Vietnamese pho and man it was super good! On I'm forgetting the 9 different dipping sauces! I would definitely do this again. The service was excellent and the setting was very relaxing . Our server was outstanding and we filled her recommendations.
google avatar

Kaydie N.

Yelp
One of my best college friends and I decided to treat ourselves to a mom's night out (no kids or hubbies). We heard great things about this place. What made our experience exceptionally great was the waitress Ava - she's a rockstar! She was so attentive and went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one. She gave us great suggestions, asked good questions and was a delight! I hope the owners compensate her well, so continues to work there for a long time! We chose the brie and gorgonzola cheese swirled with hazelnuts as our first dish. It came with an assortment of fruit and bread. The fruit was fresh and perfectly cut. The bread tasted a little dry or stale but we still ate it all. The cheese was delicious and rich. For our next dish we chose the Chef's Cut which came with an assortment of vegetables and a delicious beef broth. We loved the broth so much we asked if we could get two mugs to sip on it before we had our dessert. They gladly helped us. Lastly, we finished with the classic chocolate dessert and the assortment of goodies were delicious.
google avatar

Jenny E.

Yelp
Great service, knowledgeable staff and delicious food! Our server was helpful in picking out menu items and paired food and drinks.
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
We popped in here to have a quick bit and drink. Kept it simple with some fall cocktails (apple something) and a basic brie (and gorgonzola) fondue that came with bread and we added tater tots (seriously do this, they are the best). The fondue came out quickly and the service was prompt, but not pushy. Seemed fine we were just going to have some cheese fondue and a drink and go. Nice booth. Street parking.
google avatar

Julia K.

Yelp
Mellow atmosphere, romantic and quite, the Oregon black truffle fondue was very good! The Tiramisu fondue was good too BUT unfortunately they were completely out of fruits that evening except a banana, and I was really craving chocolate covered strawberries.
google avatar

Darren O.

Yelp
Great fondue and a great meal overall. Place has a retro vibe/decor, and use sterno rather than having a burner on the table. We had 2 cheese fondue's- white cheddar and caraway seed, and a beer cheese that was served with a pretzel. We also had a side of sausage too. Both great, but we all preferred the white cheddar. The sharpness was perfect with the bread. We got a 3 different meats for meals, my favorite was the steak and lobster. Both were perfect. For dessert we had the chocolate and peanut butter. Really tasted like a liquid Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. My daughter and I loved it. (My wife wanted the classic pure chocolate which I'm sure is great too.) Great place. If you are a fondue lover give them a try!
google avatar

Patti K.

Yelp
We've been to the other (national chain) fondue restaurants, but here at Urban Fondue, they make it more creative and fun. Sunday and Monday is a deal for the Fondue Experience (shared cheese, each person gets an entree, shared dessert) $31.95 - normally $36.95. We also did a special wine flight they were offering from Argyle $40/person. There's quite a few cheese fondue choices, entrees are pick your main (meat, seafood, vegetarian) and then broth to cook it, and desserts are also quite tasty (Marionberry cheesecake fondue - WHAT?) Service was excellent! I definitely recommend for your first time to do the whole experience. It's special and fun - and you'll leave needing a bigger pant size. Next time we go, we would probably order a cheese fondue, and some sides and call it a night - can't always go buying bigger pants!
google avatar

Smrithi S.

Yelp
We passed this place while walking, and had to come back and try it. So stopped for a snack before driving back to Seattle Sunday evening. We got the Brie & Gorgonzola fondue, and got a side of Willamette valley Pears, Apple, and ruby grapes. The bread that comes with the cheese fondue was light and airy, but strong enough to hold up to not fall apart when dipped in the cheese fondue. Absolutely loved the fondue, it was so good, I haven't stopped talking about it yet. So creamy, and the hazelnuts add a great crunch. I might come back every time I am in Portland.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a reservation and still waited by the hostess station 15 minutes for a table. Terrible service and food is mediocre. We ordered cocktails when we finally got service, but weren't offered any more.

Emme M.

Yelp
So bad for being a restaurant in Portland ..... like it's just a class D restaurant in a city where u could be spending the same amount on better meals and ingredients plus it's so over crowded and the service is bad

Jacob L.

Yelp
I booked a reservation for 5 people on a Friday evening. We were seated in the "loft" which was a private setting and more than accommodating for our party. We ordered the "experience" which was exactly that. 3 courses beginning with cheese fondues and a few different sides, then broth pots with sides of meat and vegetables, finishing with chocolate fondues and desserts to dip in them. The whole experience took about 2 and a half hours, with no pressure to be hurried at all. It was a fun evening, excellent food and drinks, and the server was awesome. I will definitely come back.

Yelp
Do NOT order any fondue here unless you want a lukewarm bath for your food which will never get fully cooked. Good luck. This place was unbelievably bad. My wife and I went for a date night and got the fondue entree experience which had an assortment of meats that we would be able to dip into our broth and enjoy the tapestry of flavors from the different ingredients and sauces that were provided. So we thought. The fondue pot came out steaming hot but lost its heat very quickly (within a few minutes). The wait staff recommended a soak of each piece of meat for 3 minutes. With basically just a candle keeping the fondue pot "warm" at the table, our meat wasn't going to get cooked to a safe temperature regardless of how long it sat in the 100F broth at our table. We asked for a second heat source but that didn't help in the slightest bit. I could maintain contact on the side of the fondue pot with my hand with no issues, just felt slightly warm. To give some context, we put a slice of squash (a vegetable so sensitive to cooking temp heat) in the fondue at the beginning of the meal, and an hour later, I still had a hard time slicing the piece that was a quarter of an inch thick with my fork. Other tables in the restaurant seemed to be having the same sentiment. In summary, unless you want your meat and veggies to have no ability to be cooked, don't go here.

Yelp
We have been here a few times and loved it. My wife asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday and I chose Urban Fondue. Let me tell you, they didn't disappoint. Our server Meagan was wonderful; fantastic attitude, efficient and funny. Armando was her 2nd and he was great as well. The cheese fondue was delicious, meat and seafood really satisfied our hunger and the Raspberry swirl chocolate dessert fondue divine. Great place for a nice dinner. Take your date here and you will not be disappointed. Thank you Meagan and Armondo for making it a great birthday!

Yelp
I'd always avoided this place due to the $$$, but my friend wanted to come here for her birthday. Really glad I did because the experience was well worth it. They have booths that are plushy and modern, though they do make it a little difficult to eat at the proper level. I saw families here, but I would especially consider coming back on a date night. Ordered: Urban Fondue Experience-- For two. Came with two entrees, one cheese fondue, one dessert Fondue, 11 sauces, and one shared side ($31.95 during happy hour). Brie and Gondozala- Though I felt like there was more cheese than bread, what I had was excellent. Northwest Chicken- Came with carrots, seasoned chicken, tortalini, zucchini, mushroom, and asparagus. Asparagus- Grilled and seasoned to perfection!! Blueberry Lemondrop- Smelled like blueberries and though it had a somewhat sour taste, it wasn't too overpowering. Service: Younger waitress with black hair and the male waiter with long hair (Jackson?) were stellar! Wait Time: 3 minutes to cook most of the raw foods (1 minute for beef). Bill: $$$

Yelp
We had reservation for Urban Fondue on 11/17 to treat my cousin for her Birthday. This was all of our first time to the Restaurant. There was a total of 5 of us. We were very pleasantly greeted by Meghan, which ended up being our server. From the get go she was stellar. She gave us some great recommendations for food and drinks. Which ended up being all great and did not disappoint. She was always around if needed and is a pro at what she does. One of the BEST customer services had!!! She made our night wonderful. Meghan rocks! Plus, the other employees were always on point. It shows Urban prides it's self with great service and great food. Nap time!!! We will be back! Items had... Yelp
Party of four. Various diet restrictions. Server was great! Explained the various options and made solid suggestions based on our special needs. Food was generally good - with a few all-stars: the Ruby Port was the best, with Oregon Truffle close behind. Mushrooms were the star of the night! Both tater tots (yes really) and the roasted cauliflower were also very good. The meat course was good, but less so than the cheese course. Definitely going back, but probably with a more focused menu selection.

Yelp
Absolutely loved our Anniversary dinner at Urban Fondue. This is no Melting Pot, with such a variety of dipping sauces and interesting choices for broths and cheeses you can't go wrong. As we like some spice we were advised to go with the Pho broth and I loved the Chef's Cut plate. Go for the special with a cheese fondue, 2 entree plates with 1 broth and a dessert fondue. This is more than enough for two. We were full to the gills and loved the virgin mini martinis they presented us to toast our Anniversary. Lovely place. We'll definitely be back!
