The Best Coffee Shops In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Though it sits in a busy West Midtown strip, this cozy spot feels like a small-town college coffee shop. Mismatched couches and chairs sit in the center of the room. We like Urban Grind because there is an energy here—that has nothing to do with the caffeine. On nights when they host live music, comedy, or slam poetry, nearly every chair is filled with a variety of folks. Get a signature drink like the white raspberry mocha, which is more of a dessert and reminds us of our childhood Toaster Strudel days. But what really amps up our sweet tooth is the pastry selection. Endless muffins, cookies, cakes, and even mini whoopie pies keep us sugared up and ready to tackle Atlanta’s traffic." - juli horsford

These Are Atlanta’s Essential Coffee Shops

"This longtime Marietta Street coffee shop opened in 2007 and has become a gathering spot for neighborhood residents and students of Georgia Tech and Georgia State. In addition to coffee and coffee drinks, Urban Grind also serves paninis, cakes, and pastries. Swing by for open mic nights featuring comedy, music, and poetry. Grab a seat on the patio to read or do a bit of work." - Beth McKibben, Sarra Sedghi

I came for the wifi & ended up staying for the vibes! The Ambience is relaxing the seating is very comfy & that's most important in a coffee shop. Lorie made me the best Chai. The food is deelish And they have open mic on Wed & Thurs nights. NO Free Parking. $10 for all coffees once tip. Pricing is fair for the area.

Google
Favorite coffee shop in the city hands down! Everytime you walk in you’re greeted with positive energy and great smiles! Their coffee is beyond fantastic and non coffee items are just as delicious! Also this is a great space to host meetings or take calls! Urban Grind will forever have a place in my heart!

Google
i like the vibe of the coffee shop, but the coffee was subpar for the price. i ordered a cappuccino and just from the look of it i knew it would be questionable. the foam of the cappuccino was just not made well, not creamy at all. maybe the barista was a beginner but i was disappointed with my coffee order especially considering the high price.

Just discovered a hidden gem — a beautiful Black-owned coffee shop serving up delicious treats. The owner personally made sure my sweet potato pastry was warm and perfect. 🙌🏾 Cozy vibes, indoor & outdoor seating, free Wi-Fi — a great spot to work, relax, or connect. Support local. You’ll love it here. ☕✨

This wonderful Black-owned spot is a new favorite. The atmosphere is truly unique, especially on Thursdays from 7-9:30 PM when they host poetry nights – a must-experience! I loved the no-phone policy, it really encourages you to be present and connect. The table setup is fantastic, whether you're solo working or dining with friends. I particularly enjoyed the people-watching orientation towards the sidewalk, it adds a nice touch of urban charm. Plus, they have a really cool vintage space to explore! And let's talk about the drinks – I had a delicious 16 oz lavender latte for $6.92, which was well worth it. It's a really great place to support a local business. I appreciated the unique vibe and the focus on community. Highly recommend checking it out!

Google
I was in the vicinity and needed my coffee fix. so I looked on Google Maps for recommendations. I selected this gem from the list because the reviews were great, and I hate to miss out on a good thing 😁. I'm glad I did! The place was easy to find. It is located in West Midtown, a chic part of town with plenty of street parking available. Inside is quaint, decor ecletic and fun, the staff is cordial and welcoming. Had my usual capuccino, which was delicious and bold in taste. I stayed for a good hour, taking in all the details around the place: the artwork on the wall, the quirky shandeliers, the majestic gold chairs. Looks like they have an open mic 🎤 on the 3rd Thursday, every month; I will have to check this out soon! Coffee Cheers!

my favorite coffee shop in Atlanta! The iced Chai is unmatched. Customer service is always great and fast wifi. I spend hours easily just enjoying the atmosphere

Google
Cozy, lowkey coffee shop—almost feels reminiscent of Central Perk from FRIENDS. They’ve got couches, booths and traditional tables. Barista was friendly and it wasn’t too crowded to sit in there and work on a weekday. Parking is easily accessible, although it’s paid unless you’re just getting your coffee to-go. I also love that they support local artists by allowing them to exhibit and sell their work in the shop! They also have open mic from comedy/spoken word/poetry.

Yelp
Urban Grind is everything you'll need in a coffee shop. Great service & great ambience. I will be back again. The Lavender Latte was everything!

Yelp
Such a great spot to work! I ventured out of my apartment recently on the hunt for a nice spot to work at for a few hours and stumbled upon Urban Grind on Yelp. Black-owned and operated, this cozy spot is definitely a new favorite of mine. Upon arrival, I was so lucky to grab a parking spot right outside of the cafe for an hourly fee. When I entered, there were already a number of patrons inside but it was cozy and quiet, perfect for a morning of tasks. I grabbed a hightop seat in the corner that offered an outlet right under the table, really allowing me to get plugged in and settled. When I went to the counter, the barista was such a sweetheart. We chatted a bit and she made her recommendations, leading me to order 3 coffees that morning! All were delicious and made just right. When ordering, there was another woman behind the counter and she just *looked* like she knew what she was doing lol. I asked her if she was one of the owners and she was. It's always great to see owners and managers working hard alongside their team! She gave me some breakfast recommendations and all of them sounded delicious but I ended up going with a croissant breakfast sandwich. Stellar choice. The sandwich was hot, cheesey, the croissant was so flaky and soft - wow. I tore that thing UP. I ended up sitting and working for about 5 hours in the shop with no disruptions. I didn't feel rushed out and the barista checked on me every so often to see if I needed anything. Overall, a fantastic experience and I can't wait to return for another day of coffee and work!

Yelp
Very welcoming environment. I went for poetry night and had an amazing time. The matcha I had was delicious as well. I would definitely attend poetry night again in the future.

Yelp
A couple of days out of the week, I like to work remote at a coffee shop. Making my way through back owner ones, I tried Urban Grind. I was almost discouraged from the reviews but, I like to judge establishments for myself. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the barista and was even complimented. Lunch was about to be served so I just ordered a Lavender Vanilla Iced Latte for the moment until I was hungry for lunch. The latte was delicious and flavorful. Around noon, I went ahead and ordered lunch which was a Turkey Bacon Club and a bag of chips. The panini was definitely cheesy ( as you can see). The shop itself is a little "intimate". There were extra tables on another side of the shop but, they didn't seem to be available to sit. Therefore, most customers were kinda packed together. If you are taking a few minutes I would definitely suggest background noise cancelling headphones as the shop music was a bit loud ( IMO).

Yelp
Stopped by here for coffee and breakfast and to get a little work done! ***LOCATION*** Was happily surprised to find parking here! There is paid street parking out front, but they do have about 3 spots on the side of the building for customers that is free, which is very nice! I got here at 7:50 am right before they opened, so I easily got a spot, but not sure if there would be spots later in the day. I only stayed for an hour then went home! ***EXPERIENCE*** I came right at opening, so there was only one person working, and she was clearly still trying to get everything together for the opening, but she stopped to let me in and take my order! I didn't see the wifi password anywhere and I hate asking lol. Since I was only there for an hour, I just used my hotspot. There was a power strip by the table I chose, but I didn't see outlets by all seats. There was a booth in the back that I wanted to sit at but it looked super worn down with no outlets, so I opted for a normal table. The inside was cozy, but I personally didn't live the vibe. It was okay, just not my favorite local cafe. Definitely worth coming occasionally but won't be my go-to. ***STAFF*** Friendly! It was a quick interaction and nothing extra, but I heard her greeting and saying bye to other guests as well! ***PRICE*** Normal price for a coffee shop! Around 5$ for a coffee and 5$ for a croissant with egg and cheese. ***FOOD/DRINKS*** Cold brew with cream - it was okay, but a little bitter. I would say 7/10 Egg and cheese croissant - also pretty good but very flat and the egg was kind of runny. I would also say 7/10 for the sandwich ***CONCLUSION*** Nothing wildy exceptional but overall a nice coffee shop to meet friends or get some work done. A decent food and drink selection and reasonable prices! Bonus for at least a few free parking spots too and nice staff!

Yelp
Urban Grind Another day, another black-owned coffee shop! Location and Parking Urban Grind is located on Marietta Street in the heart of West Midtown. There is a small section of free parking, otherwise metered parking is $5 for a few hours. Venue and Atmosphere The shop is very comfy, with more couches than actual tables and chairs. They also have a printer that customers can use for a small fee, which is something I've never seen before in a coffee shop. Service The staff was friendly and greeted us with smiles. Service was efficient. Food and Beverages The breakfast sandwich and raspberry latte were delicious. I would order both again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately some of the food items in the case (cookies and pastries) were expired; however when I pointed that out they quickly removed them and thanked me. Verdict I will be back... just gotta get there early enough to get a free parking spot.

Yelp
Our order was a Lavender Latte and Cappuccino , Old funky furniture in a kind of messy floor plan . Mellow music playing. We also split a huge cinnamon muffin . Nice outdoor seating area with flowers. They have a 15% Yelp coupon on specialty drinks. Service was quick and prompt. Muffin was very good. I would return here

Yelp
Urban grind, located in the Georgia Tech neighborhood, with vegan zucchini bread, flavorful and NOT dry please enjoy a slice warmed up like I did. I ordered off of the holiday menu a peppermint mocha I did pay for a 16 oz because that is their smallest but they made an 8 oz coffee for me so keep in mind they only have a 16 oz and a 20 oz option. The uniqueness about this coffee shop there are books for sale supporting local artists, artwork on the walls and music for sale. A good place to chill out or if some of you have kids that are students a good place to go to hang out and vibe with your college kids. Indoor seating a little tight and outdoor seating. Street parking, GOOD VIBES T-SHIRTS.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting although it's a 9min drive from my home. I parked on the side by the dry cleaners because there was free parking. I was greater as soon as I walked in. The decor is very dark academia with the wood and velvet seating. My breakfast sandwich was just okay. My order came out pretty fast. I'll probably just grab a pastry next time, but I'll definitely be back to try the seasonal coffees.

Yelp
This drive is for their beltline trailer. We stoped on our usual walk at the trailer rigjt under the bridge beside old fourth ward skatepark. Service was quick and the chai latte was nicely spiced. Have it iced and it's ur perfect companion on the walk while people watching. Would come back to sample their other beverages

Yelp
Warm greeting as I walked!! Hiiiii! The smells of freshly brewed coffee and baked good will greet you as soon as you walk in the door. Different varieties of pastries and coffees will have the undecided stumbling for a few minutes. There are a long list but enough to make wonder should you have tried one instead of another. I got the Caramel Macchiato Espresso with Almond Milk, my norm and didn't notice until I sat down the House Specials. It was ok, maybe because I've been tortured by the franchise coffees that add so much caramel with added sweeteners and sugars. The croissant with egg white and Turkey sausage was good. The only thing I noticed was while the person preparing the sandwich, left the door open to the unwrapped croissant, and bagels (there were wrapped vegan cookies in the same case) and any flies, gnats and creatures could fly in (this is a pet peeve of mine in the food industry. I would just recommend closing it while not pulling out a pastry.
google avatar

Tanni D.

Yelp
The ambiance is great and staff are friendly. However, the coffee - which took about 25 minutes to be ready - was not good! I came with two other friends and their cappuccino tasted burnt. My Yin Yang Mocha looks nothing like the advertisement, and it was bland (see last two photos). Since the shop was slightly noisy, it wasn't an ideal place to study; it's more of a spot to hangout.
google avatar

Yelp
Quirky neighborhood coffee shop in West Midtown. The inside has a lot of character with furniture that doesn't match each other, adding a uniqueness and personality to each corner of the shop. Things you should know: I. PARKING There's street parking off Marrietta St NW you can take full advantage of & off 3rd St NW. If there isn't any available spots, then you can park in the apartment across the street from Urban Grind. II. SERVICE No complaints III. QUALITY Good ~ I like that they have sugar free caramel and vanilla syrup options. I've never personally tried their pastries but I see eoople order them all the time so they have to be good, right? IV. CAPACITY For a Sunday morning, available seating was slim. Business is good.

Yelp
A cute coffee shop nearby my house on the west side. I stopped in for a quick panini for a late lunch and was ultimately tempted into a sweet treat pumpkin chai tea latte. Although they only have oat milk or whole milk as their options (Skim, almond, nonfat would be great!) I enjoyed it nonetheless. The panini took unusually long to make considering the cafe wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon. I would come back when I'm not in such a rush because of the quality of the food and drink.

Yelp
I'm still on my journey to try a new coffee shop every week and this week it was Urban Grind. They did not disappoint. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They're located on Marietta St. across from the 35M apartments. They have a few free parking spots on the side of the building, and a little further down there is more free parking a little walk down near the apartment leasing office. Parking directly in front of the shop is metered that you have to pay for. The meter was broken, but there was a number that you could text to pay for parking as well. Venue and Atmosphere The venue is cute and cozy as coffee shops are. There was high top seating on the left and right side along with some table seating and some half table and half booth seating with couches and high back chairs in the middle. We went around 11am and there was actually a small crowd of people already plugging away on the grind. There were plenty of jams playing overhead on the speakers, definitely a good space for working or relaxing. I also noticed that there was art on the wall for sale, and some of the pieces were really dope. Food and drinks I got the iced white raspberry mocha to drink, and to eat I got the bacon, eggs, and cheese croissant and a coffee cake muffin. The sandwich was great, the egg was fluffy and the croissant was soft and buttery. The muffin was soft and the perfect amount of sweet. The coffee had a really good raspberry flavor, which was a pleasant surprise because it's hard to find a good raspberry taste, but they did amazing with that. Service The baristas were patient and nice. Our food didn't take long to come out despite the amount of people that were in the shop at the time. Verdict I throughly enjoyed my time here and was able to get quite a bit of work done. I'll be back for sure. Make sure to check them out if you're in the area. Until next time!

Yelp
Drove around looking for a coffee shop and Urban Grind appeared. I was greeted with a friendly smile and was able to use a check in special! At first glance, I loved the environment and definitely seemed like the type of coffee shop I would want to be studying in. I ordered a Carmel latte and it was made within 5 minutes of placing my order. I noticed they offered pastries and some cafe menu items. If I lived in this area Urban Grind would be my go to!
google avatar

Yelp
Support black-owned businesses! We stopped in to Urban Grind for a quick caffeine stop before dinner. There are plenty of flavored latte options - too many, in fact. I ordered an Iced Mint Condition, which is basically an iced peppermint mocha. Interior is plush and comfortable - a perfect coffee shop to settle in and sip on a beverage while working, studying, or just chilling. Parking isn't great but that's like most places in the area. If you're looking for a great coffee shop in the area and are also looking to support black owned businesses, Urban Grind is a no brainer!

Yelp
A very good place for coffee. It feels like a cozy place for hanging. Urban Grind is a hip but not pretentious coffeehouse close to Georgia Tech. Has a few snacks also. They also have good wifi. Has lots of excellently made concoctions. It gets its beans from sustainable sources. They have a good coffee mission and that's as good as having taste. All kinds to choose from. They have lighter and stronger. I like the Black Forest. It's about $3.50 for a medium. This is made with chocolate and a choice of milk. Also they have granola. It's about $5 for a bag, which isn't as much as other coffee places that sell this kind of stuff. It overall is an excellent place for coffee. Locally grown beans and ingredients. They have reliable wifi so it's a good place for working.

Yelp
Had a great experience here! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great ambience, and plenty of comfortable and plush seating. There are various oil paintings of the Obamas and mismatched sofas and fancy chairs that give it a very distinct vibe. Only issue is the parking: there are three free spots right outside but otherwise you need to utilize street parking or park by the leasing office and hope you don't get towed or ask for a permit.

Chantel B.

Yelp
Visited urban grind today the ambiance and atmosphere of the shop was very chill it's definitely somewhere you'd wanna go to do some work or grab a bite and catch up with friends. The food isn't that great and the coffee isn't either. I got the raspberry white mocha coffee and honestly it was entirely too sweet for my liking I couldn't even finish it. I don't think it's worth the money but nice secluded place to drop by
google avatar

Noelani D.

Yelp
Looking for a fresh cup of coffee to perk you up and get you through that afternoon lull? Check this place out! Urban Grind does coffee right! Their espresso is smooth and strong, and they don't dilute their lattes with too much cream or flavor. They also offer an assortment of pastries. The cookies caught my eye, and I'm so glad I got one. It was the softest, thickest, yummiest cookie I've had in a long time. (Don't tell my mom!) Parking can be tricky because of location, but they had a sign on their front door alerting customers to certain businesses they can park at. They also had notices up about nights for live music and poetry readings and they had an assortment of board games inside, so I've no doubt that when things get back to a new normal (post-COVID) this place is an awesome place to hang!

Yelp
Very Good Chai latte!! One of the best I've tasted with Oatmilk and vanilla. Very friendly staff and very cute interior and chill spot . Will return for more great coffee. Red velvet good but very sweet

Maleah G.

Yelp
My husband and I are regulars at Urban Grind. We get the same drink every visit--a chai tea latte, sometimes dirty. It's typically delicious and we know what to expect, but ever since they started hiring new employees, our drinks aren't made consistently. It's almost like they didn't train these new hires on how to craft the drink recipes properly. It's been hit or miss for the past 10ish visits, which is unfortunate because we drive from another part of town to get our drinks. It's disappointing when they aren't good! We've had them remade or simply take them back sometimes, but it's becoming a burden. It also doesn't help that the coffee shop will switch up their hours sporadically--sometimes not opening on time, or closing early without fair warning (outside of a sign posted on the door.)
google avatar

Yelp
i was really excited to come here on a day that was a special occasion because i saw they had chai lattes! it's also nice that it's a locally owned POC business too. parking is limited, there's a couple free spots to the right of the shop and there's some paid street parking. i ended up getting a small iced chai latte with almond milk. just a heads up they have a sign saying there's been some supply chain issues and as a result increased prices which is understandable, but my drink came out to be $6.43 which is $2 more than i expected :/ the interior is small but cozy. there's some tables and really comfy chairs. they also sell some pastries too. my chai latte was good but it was really really sweet. i wish i had asked for less sugar. also, they messed up my order and gave me a hot chai latte instead of an iced. because i ended up paying a lot of money for an incorrect drink, my visit was a bit disappointing. but i've heard other drinks are good.

Yelp
This was a nice coffee location and a convenient location for me lol. But loved the artwork and how cozy the cafe was. But I can see parking being bad which is why this got 4 stars. I went on a Sunday and was lucky to find one spot on the street (last one left) and I didn't have to pay. But back to the coffee, I order a cappuccino and it was nice and refreshing. I would love to go back and work from there.
google avatar

Yelp
MOCHA One of the best mochas I've had in the city. There is not a lot of parking so I was very lucky to secure one right outside the café, and I made a pitstop for a cuppa coffee. Staff was extremely nice and attentive, they asked if I wanted whip on my mocha, which of course I said yes, and it is easily one of the best I've had. The café is very small, and quite packed, but still a nice quiet place to read a book if you can find a spot. I will be frequenting this more often now that I know it is here, but I would probably rather take my coffee on the go.
google avatar

Rachael D.

Yelp
Such a cool spot! I got the lavender vanilla latte and my friend got the raspberry white mocha - both were delicious! The decor is also really cozy and artsy - it's a nice place to relax and hang out. The staff were also very friendly as well

Yelp
I stopped into Urban Grind Coffee House on the Tuesday morning after Labor Day and was greeted with lights out and locked doors. Another woman on the patio told me they weren't open yet even though the times listed online said they would be. There was a sign posted on the door that said, during Labor Day Weekend they would open at 9 AM. So I wasn't too unsettled, even though it was the day after Labor Day Weekend. A woman went into the building around 8:40, greeted us, and locked the door back behind her while we waited for the place to open. When we were let in a little after 9 AM it seemed like the two people behind the counter were still trying to get everything together. I found a corner to work for the morning and noticed a lot of the furniture was run down. I went up to order. The service was friendly. I decided on a large french press. I gear towards more black coffee than flavored lattes. Their selection of flavors was impressive but not what I was there for. The coffee wasn't anything to write home about. I don't think my french press was made with the best equipment because too many grounds were floating at the top. The creamer also seemed to be old cause it was floating instead of dissolving. The vibe did seem to pick up as people came into work and created a warm atmosphere. I would like to try this place out again in the future but I'd explore the rest of the Atlanta coffee scene first.

Yelp
Well , I finally have arrived to the infamous Urban Grind Coffee House . I visited on the morning of a weekday so there was available parking near the rear . They also share parking with the cleaners next door . I ordered a small raspberry white chocolate coffee along with a croissant breakfast sandwich. I was at first sketch about ordering a raspberry coffee but never the less I was quite happy with my choice . I give a shout out to the barista. I made my way back to this place for a double take and same service and same quality . The atmosphere is warm and inviting . I enjoy the decor and the pride taking into such a beautiful establishment . I'll be back and fellow "yelpers" I recommend you try some urban grind coffee if you've yet to do so !!!

Yelp
Finally tried this place! I had been wanting to come here for a while because I heard their bagel sandwiches are really good. Unfortunately, I saw on their yelp menu that they stop serving them at 11:30 (I got there after that time), but it was all good because they had some sandwiches that looked good to me. I ended up ordering a pesto chicken panini and a chai latte. I must say, the panini was very bland. But the chai latte was very sweet! I couldn't finish it because it was a little too sweet for my liking, but it was good. The girls who worked that day were very pleasant. The service was good. The vibes were cool. They alternated between playing 90s RnB, and really mellow type music. Overall, it was a cool visit. Not what I expected, but I'd definitely go again to try a bagel sandwich and some other items on the menu as well.

Yelp
This spot has been on my list of coffee shops to try but whenever I've been in the area it's slipped my mind. Finally I intentionally made the trip and while I'd love to give this spot 5 starts (because my oatmilk vanilla chai latte was sooo good, I have to deduct 2 because the inside didn't appear as tidy as I expected and someone had their dog with them on the inside of the shop, which was also a turnoff. Pros: - Great oat milk vanilla chai latte - Some free parking - maybe 4 spots next to the shop - Friendly staff Cons: - Allowing dogs inside - Furniture could be updated and cleaned

Yelp
Pesto Chicken Panini was good, but it seemed to take awhile to make, i wouldn't order it if the shop is busy. The americano was great and got the jumpstart that I needed. The atmosphere is great for conversation and the center couch is good for on group.. Some street parking and out door seating .

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop! It's like thrift store meets coffee shop. The ambiance was really nice. It had jazz music playing. It was loud enough to enjoy but not overbearing. I was able to read and chill while deciding my next move. They have most of the basic coffee options, select pastries and a lunch menu! They also have a printer, wifi and outlets scattered throughout the store. I'd recommend this place especially if you want a relaxing setting where you can be alone.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The location wasn't too far from downtown. The shop was cute . We saw so much variety in what was offered.

I decided that I am going to patronize more black owned businesses in Atlanta during this year of 2020 Urban Grind happens to be one of those places. The location is great although you have to pay for parking. I walk in and there is no one there to greet me so I decide to take a seat. I make myself comfortable and soon see a you g man emerge from the back. I approach the counter to place my order a Raspberry White Mocha with Almond milk because coconut milk is not an option and a toasted everything bagel. I take a look around as I snap some shots of the place. Cute, cozy chairs and sofas, as well as a board that displays what they have going on for entertainment nightly. I would definitely recommend this place as well as come back. Thank you Urban Grind See you soon

Yelp
This one let us down a bit. I don't like a bitter cappuccino. And that's kinda what this one was... a bit too bitter for our taste.

Yelp
I spent my morning here hanging out with a friend! Super cozy spot in West Midtown with good food. I'm not a coffee person so I can't speak for how that is, but I had a croissant breakfast sandwich and it was wonderful. The atmosphere is very laid back and neighborhood-y. Service was great, the people there were very sweet. They also strictly enforced the "under 10 people at a time" rule. The couches were cozy and they had a lot of seating options. I'd highly recommend this place if you want to hang out with some friends for a couple hours or get some work done on your own. Honestly, was one of my favorite coffee shops!

Yelp
Black owned coffee shop located in Midtown near Howell Mill. They serve light bites like soups and sandwiches. I got the four cheese grilled cheese and it was so good. Very nice spot and it wasn't too packed. They have a variety of seating. Outlets weren't an issue. Wifi was pretty good. Parking: limited free parking but there's also paid parking along the street.

Yelp

Yelp
Sunny and beautiful out today but yet cool. Cool enough for some hot tea. Urban Grind was on my list just for that. This is my first time here, and I'm digging the retro vintage 70's vibe they got going on. Not to mention while sipping on your tea, coffee or enjoying a smoothie...NAH!!! Better yet eating on a hot pesto/chicken or veggie burger all while listening to the soothing sounds of 70's-90's music over head. Urban Grind Coffee House interior is a grungie retro 70's vibe. All with the Goodwill maybe found on the side of the road furniture ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Which ever way I love it!!!!!!!!? I had the peach/ginger tea today and it was really good. They serve loose tea herbal teas. This is a spot you can come and read a good book, newspaper paper or plug up your laptop and get some work done. Or just hang around with friends and conversate. I do believe Sherlock this will be a new hideaway for me.

Yelp
Never have I wanted to like a place so much and been so disappointed. First the good stuff... The place has a wonderful, warm, eclectic and inviting atmosphere. I had read reviews about the music, and I was anxious it was going to be too loud, but it was perfect. Now for the disappointment... The coffee was horrible. I love espresso so I ordered a double espresso shot and it was undrinkable. We sat for a while and enjoyed the ambience and conversation. We didn't drink our drinks and we threw them away as we left. The wonderful thing about great espresso is that it can pull more sweetness and richness from coffee beans than one would think possible. This espresso had nothing pleasant about it and seemed to have only extracted the awful parts of the coffee. My wife ordered a cafe au lait. Often milk can hide the flaws of poorly made coffee, but not in this case. The only thing I can figure is that the young man who was making coffee was new. It sounded like he had to ask another employee how to make my wife's drink. He was also slow, really slow. There are so many wonderful reviews, I have to assume that someone in this place is normally capable of making coffee. If I give it another try and have a better experience I will update this review.

Yelp
Very cozy inside. The baristas are fast and friendly. Great shop to use as a third place for those looking remote workers for a change in scenery. Street parking and free parking by the apartment leasing office. Limited capacity for dine-in (10 people) which gives everyone enough personal spac e - which I love They have really beautiful art on their walls. Board games are available! Now let's talk about the coffee - it's delicious and doesn't taste burnt. I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
This place is mediocre at best. The coffee is not that great and the service is never good either. The employees usually have an attitude or seem irritated to help you. This place was a ghost town when covid started, but has been jam packed ever since they've been recognized on places like yelp and google as a black owned business. That's great and all, but outside of that it's nothing special

Yelp
Very cool vibe! Friendly service (Thanks Jalen!) Lots of cozy places to sit with an outside patio. And good coffee! They even have open mic on Thursdays at 7:00pm. I was about to pay for parking and was greeted by a person who told me there was a free parking lot a short distance away. I happily moved my car! When I entered the establishment that kind stranger, Jalen was behind the counter! I ordered a large Hazelnut coffee and a croissant. Both were exactly what I wanted. They have other sweet treats, muffins, and breads as well. Looks like a cool place to get work done or meet up for coffee and conversation. I'm curious about open mic, so I will definitely return.

Yelp
What's not to like about Urban Grind? Comfortable interior, solid wifi speed and connectivity, and very pleasant employees. I only got a regular coffee and a breakfast burrito, but their coffee was as good as any coffee place I've been to in Atlanta and the burrito was pretty good for coffee shop breakfast. Seems to be plenty of outlets and surge strips connected to them. Selection of tables and chairs for work stations, and comfy chairs and couches for socializing. Great location behind GA Tech. A bit of a pain to get to, but that might have just been because of where I started from. Seems like I'll enjoy spending my day here working.

Yelp
This place was just eh! I was not impressed. I stopped into this spot today for a meeting with a colleague. We ordered the chai tea. The tea was way too sweet and lukewarm. The food selection was subpar. The food display presentation was poor. The place could use some sprucing. Now that I have visited this shop I have checked it off my list of coffee shops in Atlanta to visit. I don't need to return here.
