Urban Matcha

I came to Urban Matcha here in Las Vegas because it kept showing up on my feed nonstop, so I finally decided to check it out and honestly, wow. This place delivered in every way. The matcha flavor is a solid nine out of ten. They have all kinds of milk options, from plant based to regular, and I tried the Pumpkin Matcha and the Banana Pudding Matcha. Both were insane. The flavor, the texture, the balance, everything was exactly where it needed to be. They use around four grams of matcha for a medium drink, so the color, the richness, that green, you can taste the quality immediately. Something I noticed, and I might be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I saw they had a batch of matcha already mixed with milk. And here’s the thing: even though the drinks tasted really good, matcha that’s prebatched with milk oxidizes faster, loses freshness quicker and the flavor doesn’t stay as bright or as clean as when it’s just batched with water. The milk changes the pH, so the matcha fades a little faster. It didn’t ruin anything, the drinks still tasted amazing, but it’s something I definitely noticed because you can tell when a place really knows how to handle matcha and when they’re cutting a corner that could affect the final result if the batch sits too long. The only thing that caught me off guard, especially for a matcha place that also sells desserts and things people usually get for breakfast, is that they open at noon. I don’t know if it’s a Las Vegas thing, but it surprised me. Still, once they’re open, everything they do is on point. The service was normal in a good way. Not incredible and not bad, just fine. And the place is super cute and perfect if you want to sit, work or study. The menu is huge with a ton of options beyond matcha, but matcha is clearly the star. If you love matcha, like really love matcha, Urban Matcha is a place you absolutely need to visit in Las Vegas. It’s completely worth it.

Had a craving for matcha and got this location off a must visit in Vegas tiktok. First and most important, it is very busy, almost all the time. The parking for this location is also very busy, hard to get a parking right in front of it so don’t even try. Getting pass the waiting in line experience the order was very fast. They have a smooth process getting taking orders so you won’t have to wait long once you’ve been attended. Inside it’s pretty small and usually filled, they have a couple sitting locations and a couple standing locations The matcha is amazinggggg, like truly best matcha I’ve had and has not been taken out of its top 1 position even after trying several back home in California. We got the strawberry and banana pudding matcha. Definitely worth more than one visit

Stopped by Urban Matcha in Las Vegas today and I’m officially obsessed! 😍 Their matcha soft serve has the perfect balance — creamy texture with a strong, authentic matcha flavor that lingers beautifully. Delicious Matcha! And tons of other sweet treats and snacks. I am an avid matcha drinker/maker and can say this cafe was in my top 3. Sadly I was just visiting Vegas and can’t enjoy Urban Matcha all the time. I will be back!

The matcha is so good here. It doesn’t taste fake or loaded with sweetness. It taste like some of the matcha I have had in Japan. The ice cream is pretty good too. I don’t think it has dairy. They do have milk alternatives. I’ve been coming here since it was cafe matcha maiko and before it got popular on TikTok. The only negatives is that they give you a lot of ice, making it feel like you have very little matcha. For the size, it’s also pricey. I would recommend coming before 4pm. If you come after, there is no seating, no parking, and long wait lines. It’s super noisy too so would not recommend studying or working here if that is your thing.

The drinks here are absolutely worth the visit! The matcha is incredibly creamy with this beautiful nutty finish that really sets it apart from other places. Their hojicha is a standout too - you get this wonderful earthy, roasted flavor that lingers when you exhale. Great craftsmanship on both. The floats are a lifesaver on scorching hot days - refreshing and indulgent at the same time. You can tell they put real thought into their flavor profiles. Staff is fantastic - lots of friendly faces who clearly know their stuff and genuinely seem happy to be there. The service never felt rushed despite how busy they get. Fair warning: this place is PACKED. There’s decent seating inside, but good luck snagging a spot during peak hours. Parking is also a nightmare since they’re surrounded by other popular businesses. I’d recommend going during off-peak times or being prepared to circle the block a few times. Despite the crowds and parking hassles, I’ll definitely be back - especially when the weather’s brutal and I’m craving one of those floats!

Absolutely love this place! Their matcha drinks and desserts are incredibly delicious — some of the best we’ve ever had. It’s become a must-visit spot for us every time we’re in Vegas. So far, it’s 2 out of 2 amazing visits 🙂 Already looking forward to our next trip just to come back here!

Heard good things about the matcha but ended up getting the hojicha. It had good flavour but will definitely come back to try the matcha next time. It gets pretty busy and there's not much seating available.

Matcha, ube, lychee...can't go wrong with any of these flavors. Refreshing, light and creamy. We just found our matcha go-to spot when in Vegas. There are also other drink options and lots of toppings to choose from. Will be back to try other fun items on the menu. Service was quick and friendly. Place was clean and ample seating to chat with friends and family while enjoying your matcha treats.

Delicious matcha desserts that are rich in matcha flavour and not too sweet. Pricey, but worth it once in a while as a treat. I ordered via Ubereats and it was delivered to my school to my exact classroom, which was awesome. The matcha parfait came with delicious, chewy pieces of Mochi at around $9.15? There was also red beans and cake chunks. The matcha soft serve was one of the best matcha soft serves I've ever had. Next time, I will just get the soft serve without any toppings hehe

5 stars Love this cafe. They have the most authentic and delicious, rich, and bold matcha in Vegas. Their menu has a handful of staple items and flavors to choose. This time I got their matcha tea with a strawberry cheese cap. My friend got a hoji-cha float , and we split a matcha cream puff. We came right when they opened at 12:00 and by 12:10, it was already getting busy. As a matcha lover, this place is amazing I know matcha can be polarizing, so if it's not your thing, I'm sure you can find something else here to like as well like an espresso based drink, or a yuzu slush along with one their desserts.

MATCHA HEAVEN oh i love matcha so much and this is it, it was my first time coming in today however i am so excited to come back here and try other items out. here's what i ordered: [matcha shaved ice with lychee soft serve]: it was on their specialty menu and decided to give it a try as i love matcha and lychee. yummy!! it comes with 2 small mochi balls and a tender chestnut, red beans, the matcha shaved iced at the bottom and you can pick your flavor of soft serve for the top ice cream! i first thought the shaved ice pieces were a bit too big/hard to be shaved ice but once it started melting it was so good and refreshing! definitely hit the spot. i will be back to this matcha heaven cafe very soon!

I recently visited and had to share my delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were incredibly friendly. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Ube puff! It was perfectly flaky on the outside and filled with a creamy, rich ube filling that was just the right amount of sweet. I highly recommend stopping by just to try this little piece of heaven. It's definitely one of the best pastries I've had in a long time!

On a quest to expand my taste buds and like the taste of grass, I mean, MATCHA I was recommended this place a while ago, and honestly, I wish I had tried it soon! Walking in, the staff was very welcoming and attentive. The place was clean and inviting. You can tell this is a popular, loved place by the amount of people that were there. I actually enjoyed my ice cream! The matcha wasn't overpowering at all! I will be going back to try their ube next!

Just a few steps away from Hachi, we decided to have dessert at Urban Matcha. I had seen some photos on Yelp of Black sesame ice cream, so that's what I wanted. It was not on the menu when I was there. Instead, we ordered the following: Matcha parfait with mochi, agar jelly, matcha cake, azuki beans, cornflakes, chestnut: Pretty good Nice, clean and modern looking place. Service was good. I want to go back and try other items.

Had to stop by for dessert after a late lunch off the strip. I ordered the matcha soft serve again and it's exactly how I remembered it to be. A pleasantly overwhelming taste of matcha in a soft serve form on a lightly sweet waffle cone. I'm so sad I can't find anything that remotely resembles this anywhere in California. For now, I'll have to enjoy this amazing matcha treat whenever I'm in Vegas.

This was my first time trying Urban Matcha since their transition from Matcha Cafe Maiko (which I frequented!) A lot of things changed, namely the atmosphere and menu, but I like that the quality of their desserts remain the same! I grew up going to the Honolulu location, so I loved the Hawaiian paraphernalia that Maiko had. The new renovations are nice and feels open and welcoming! This time I got the Hojicha Latte Float with Vanilla soft serve and it was delicious! This is the only place I trust to have good hojicha lattes. I also tried a bit of their Ube Soft Serve and it was creamy and the ube flavor was strong but great! I wish UM was closer to my side of town cos I would be there 24/7!

Great service and the soft serve was delightful, I got the matcha and ube mix which was out of this world and made the walk home easy and fun. Will definitely be back to tray everything else on the menu

Stopped by after lunch at the One Piece Cafe and I couldn't be happier. I'm a matcha addict and their quality is sooo good. I love that they have hojicha and ube too! Super cute + clean inside, and the staff is super friendly despite it being so busy on the weekend. I got the matcha latte with ube cap this time, wishing I had room for more but I'll be sure to be back when I want some soft serve or mille cake

Delicious matcha in LV. From the floats, the yuzu to the regular matcha latte, it's a consistent 5 across the menu. Service is typically good and transactional. They get consistent businesst I decided to finish work from there and the WiFi was good. Some of the outlets have a hard time holder the MacBook brick but i eventually found one that didn't spit it back out at me. Love Urban matcha.

This place is tasty!! Parking is the only bad thing about this place haha and it has absolutely nothing to deal w em! When you walk in you are greeted by a smiling face! This place is simple, fresh and clean, it's a mood is chill. The menu is simple to understand and if not then u can ask the ladies that work behind the counter. At least when I went in it was two of them. They carry oat and whole milk, ice cream is clearly whole milk which is cool, the ice cream looks so perfect and there drink was yummmmm. We also tried the panna cotta which I personally wasn't a fan of but my nephew was. I will def go back to try other items.

Absolutely the best Macha I have ever had. The soft serve is addicting it's hard to get anything else. My son is a vanilla only child and said their vanilla soft serve is the best ice cream he has ever had as well. I come after work without telling my husband sometimes.

This place is so cute. We've come here twice because there's so many things we want to try! All of the desserts don't taste overly sweetened, which I love because you don't get that sugar crash. The decor is nice, it can get popular at night time. We've tried the matcha and yuzu panna cotta - the yuzu tasted more like grapefruit so didn't like that so much but the matcha one was perfect. The matcha ice cream had a strong earthy matcha flavor, so it's best if mixed with vanilla or the ube. Also the matcha crepe cake is a perfect texture. I still have to try the Japanese egg salad sandwich, their coffees and something hojicha flavored. So we'll be back!

First time I came back with my wife here ( though she's here twice a week) she didn't even told me my favorite flavor (black sesame) is back. But all in all The customer service and the place is amazing.

Finally, a place in the US where I can get a Matcha parfait! I believe Urban Matcha has replaced/is the rebranded version of Cafe Maiko - I noticed that Apple Maps still has Cafe Maiko at the same address as Urban Matcha which was a bit confusing. Nonetheless, I loved the clean bright and cheery interior! The parfait and shaved ice is kind of pricey, but the serving size is large and can easily be shared between multiple people.

The matcha and vanilla soft serve is amazing. this place is so cute and the people are very sweet.

A little pricey but their drinks never disappoint. I've been here easily 10+ times. Best hojicha in town! My go to is the iced hojicha latte (with sesame icecream when available). Yesterday I got it with Ube cheese cap and it was good

Came here even after reading mixed reviews about whether the quality of the matcha was the same after they disenfranchised after the Matcha Maiko chain. Unfortunately, it's far from it. And don't even get me started on the parfaits. It's not a parfait. I have the biggest sweet tooth I know, and I regret consuming these calories. Sorry guys.

i love the matcha here c: i've had the matcha latte and matcha latte with ube cap, really tasty drinks. i will say it's kinda overpriced for the size though. my go to is the matcha latte float with vanilla-matcha soft serve, a recently favorite dessert of mine. the service is usually good, a majority of the workers are polite. the environment is chill and there's a good amount of indoor seating (unless it's busy). tried the hojicha latte today and it had a good flavor but it was pretty gritty. btw whoever had aux like three weeks ago and was playing daddy issues and petals by the moon, you have peak music taste

Friendly quick service! The place is clean and cozy. A friend has never liked ube, then tried the ube ice cream today and actually said "it's not bad." huge.

The cashier was very nice and helpful with all of our question. It was pretty busy on a Friday night and there were plenty of seats. The store was well kept and clean but pretty loud since it was packed. I recommend the taro crepe. It was a little pricy but was one of the best ones I've had yet. The vanilla matcha mixed cone was really good as well.

03/31/24 Happy Easter Sunday!!! After family gathering my husband and I was craving for sweets! Called this place and YES they were opened. First time coming here with a different name to it! Urban Matcha....flavors were the same and also their soft serve and added some desserts and "limited time" desserts. Staff is friendly and place is clean. The "Hawaii" theme of course was gone. This is our to go to when we really want to"matcha" . I feel there matcha here is more authentic . I ordered the Parfait Matcha with combo ube and black sesame soft serve and my husband got the Matcha shave ice with black sesame soft serve. Both were good but I prefer the Parfait Matcha. Wish the shave ice was more like a bingsoo (Korean shave ice) that would be the winner!!! Happy sweet eats!!

Mood: Matcha Time Omg! Matcha float was so delicious. The matcha maker was so sweet she recommended the KUROMISTSU KINAKO FLOAT. 10/10 You definitely have to like matcha for this one. It was creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. Very clean and open place. You can bring friends and chat about or bring your work and find a quiet place to focus.

Always consistent and delicious. Fun modern simplistic ambience. I always order the Matcha shaved ice and my better half loves everything matcha and has tried several items and has always raves about all of them. This has become an obsession for us.

we got the yuzu matcha sparkler, matcha parfait, and viet style coffee. we liked the matcha orders! but the viet coffee was a bit disappointing.. too much milk / sweetness and too little coffee

We came here after the rebranding to Urban Matcha and the menu is pretty similar to Cafe Maiko's, though they have more Ube-flavored items on the menu. I ordered my usual Matcha Strawberry soft serve in a cup, and my husband ordered the Matcha Ube Cheese Foam latte with a matcha kuromitsu kinako base. The Strawberry Matcha soft serve tasted like expected, though I probably will opt for just a Matcha next time as the Strawberry overpowered the Matcha. Regarding the Matcha Uba Cheese Foam Latte, my husband said the matcha taste was strong but was balanced by the Ube taste; however, there was not much of a cheese flavor like with other cheese foam drinks where you taste the saltiness. Overall, will be a regular here when I'm craving matcha ice cream in the area.

I'm a big fan of all things Matcha! I especially love Matcha Cafe Maiko. I thought the location of this store was a bit odd, I figured it would have been a bit closer to the strip, especially since its so popular. I felt like it was a bit of a journey to get here... Excellent, not too sweet, nor did it have an artificial taste to it. ~ 52 Matcha Panna Cotta - 5/5 A perfect Matcha Panna Cotta. This should be the definition of Japanese & Italian Fusion! Not too sweet, Creamy, silky without being bitter. Brilliant! ~ 53 Yuzu Panna Cotta - 5/5 Another brilliant Matcha Panna Cotta! I wan't so sure about this one... sometimes Yuzu items can be a bit to tart or tangy for me. Not the case; Not too sweet, citrusy , creamy, silky without the tartness or tanginess. Brilliant! ~ MATCHA CREAM PUFF - 5/5 Another excellent Matcha treat! The ad by the entrance said "While Supplies Last!" I'm not sure if that means the Matcha Cream Puff was a limited edition item. I reckon it should be a regular item on the menu. When I stopped by this location (way back in Jan. 2023) they had items I haven't seen at my local stores in the Bay Area: - Matcha Gelato Pint - Crepe Cake - Sandwiches - Ice Cream in addition to Soft Serve! This is actually For the first time experience at this store... I enjoyed what I ordered very much!! Hojicha late was sweet. but not to much sweet... And I picked Matcha soft served ice cream. that was very great choice! the color doesn't look good. But it was delicious! it's expensive. ---- Yes. I was less than a mile away from my original destination (Salt & Straw in Southwest Vegas) this past weekend when I suddenly decided I wanted a red bean dessert instead. After a little research, I found Urban Matcha and headed straight to Chinatown. When I arrived, I ended up circling the parking lot several times searching for a spot since this dessert shop is located in one of the most popular strip malls in Chinatown. I eventually found a spot and beelined straight over. As I entered the shop, my initial impressions were all positive. The space itself is modern and open with an abundance of windows. There's ample seating for guests to enjoy their desserts and/or work onsite. I also found their staff to be polite and professional. I ended up ordering the matcha parfait for my dessert. While I wish it was served in a bowl instead of a cup (so I would have more flexibility to curate the components of each bite and remove ingredients as needed), I improvised and made it work. My final assessment: Urban Matcha was a five star experience based on the quality and superb flavors and textures of my dessert--I got my red beans!--as well as the restaurant's impeccable handling of a minor issue I brought to their attention.

It's our new obsession My boyfriend and I just moved here and this is one of our favorite obsessions now. We've been three times since we just moved here a week ago. The matcha is authentic and so earthy and delectable!! I absolutely crave this after dinners and we even ate it before dinner. It never makes us overly full or too sweet to where you're sick, it's so satisfying to eat. My boyfriend loves the matcha shaved ice and I usually get the matcha frappe but I have recently tried the latte and I do loveee both. We obviously will be going back a lot.

Came back to try Urban again and the service was a total 180. Friendly staff at the counter and the drinks were on point. I still miss the Hawaiian decor but I will definitely be back in the future

Best matcha green tea place here in Vegas and Honolulu (location Ms I've been to)! I usually get the simple matcha iced tea and it's delicious! The soft served is also delicious! Lots of seats and a chill spot. Has a Hawaii vibe also, which is a great bonus since I'm from Hawaii lol. Clean, lots of parking, clean restrooms. I definitely recommend this place!

Great ice cream, and my favorite ice cream favorite is matcha! All the Matcha are from Japan ,and it is really high quality! Employees are polite! It's a great environment for having a couple of teas and hangouts with friends ! Strongly recommended if you are looking for high quality Matcha tea , this is your place to try !

This Maiko place is franchised and I've been to the one in seattle and Richmond, Canada. However, it's totally different in terms of quality and quantity of Matcha. (Most of matcha ice cream is too milky not much matcha in it) This Maiko matcha place in Las Vegas is the only one that deserves to be called Matcha. (Lately the new owner took over and name has changed but the quality remain great)

Delicious desserts and super cute spot. The staff is very friendly and there were too many things that I wanted to try. I had one of the shaved ice matcha desserts and my husband had the ube soft serve, and we shared the ube crepe cake. Everything was great! Will be back to try some gelato and more!

Love visiting here with family and friends, I'm a HUGE fan of matcha and appreciate that there is a dessert shop in town that specializes in it. We have been coming here prior to the ownership change when it was still franchised and called Matcha Maiko. Cute and simple modern interior with bright lights and several tables and chairs to socialize or get some work done. I like that it's not too loud in here and the music is pleasant to the ears. Staff is friendly and efficient. We dine in and order takeout sometimes. Their matcha soft serve is just right, you can def taste the matcha but it's not too sweet or overly creamy. I believe it's a perfect palate cleanser after a big hearty/savory meal. We also enjoy their yuzu panna cotta, uji kintoki, and hojicha crepe cake. Can be a little pricey but def worth it, and they have a rewards system so make sure you sign up if this is somewhere you frequent a couple times a month! Keep up the good work!

Puff filled pastries delicious and the variety of matcha drinks endless, decor inside pleasant, clean and lots of natural light. Met at this place at lunch time not the best choice for lunch as there are only 2 choices for sandwiches. I ordered the egg salad sandwich and it was very tasty. I wish that there were a few more menu choices for lunch.

Such a cute little place. The vibe is very open and friendly. Lots of big tables to make meeting new people easy. The menu is fun and has a nice choice. I'm a basic girl and just got the Strawberry cone but it was so dang smooth and such strawberry goodness. Definitely a must for a quick after dinner snack for sure.

This has been my favorite place for matcha soft serve ever since they opened. There was a brief time when I completely stopped my visits due to deteriorating quality during and little after COVID (extreme sour taste for some reason). However, my recent two visits were as good as before and I really enjoyed their black sesame flavor which they didn't have back then. I also highly recommend their shaved ice, it's so good! As always, they have exceptional service and great ambience suited for casual visits. Parking is sometimes a headache but it's definitely worth the trip for a quick treat.

Located by Jones and spring mountain, in the same plaza as Cafe Moda, Q Karaoke, Hachi. Used to be called Maiko Cafe. It's one of my favorite spots for the soft serve ice cream in matcha and Ube. To me, it's not too sweet, it's just right. They have open seating and if you needed to do any type of work, the big table has outlets. Just know that it can get a little loud when it's busy They call your name to pick up your order, they don't walk to you. There's also a rewards program, connected by your number/card.

Ube soft serve in a parfait! Delicious in taste and texture! What a cute find in a rather odd strip mall area... I went for a stew lunch at Tang Tang Tang, which is at the next over strip mall. Then came over for dessert. Cute spot, with delicious soft serve selections and of course, matcha drinks! I got myself the Ube soft serve over a parfait, which comes with mochi, corn flakes at the bottom and a matcha cake center. The space is big enough for a few tables of 4, and a communal table that fits about 6. The decor is simple. Service is quick - order at the counter and wait to be called. The soft serve matcha was divinely delicious. They use high ceremonial grade matcha from Uji Japan, which is regarded as the highest grade matcha grown in all of Japan. So the price point is very good for such a high quality of matcha. It's absolutely unequivocally amazing.

I've had Matcha Cafe Maiko at their Orlando, FL location, so I was glad to see one located here in Koreatown. I got the soft serve swirl with matcha and strawberry in a cone. The serving was plentiful and could probably serve 2, considering the price is a bit steeper than other ice cream places. In terms of the soft serve, I was expecting more of a creamy, smooth texture, but I found it to be closer to the icier side than what I remember from my Orlando visit. None the less, the earthy matcha flavor was delicious and balanced the sweetness of the strawberry. Service was friendly and fast.

If you love matcha , you will love this place. i always order soft serve in the big cup to treat myself on my weekend.
