Urban Oak Rooftop Bar & Lounge offers a beautiful rooftop setting with stunning views, especially at sunset. The cocktails are creative and well-crafted, Food-wise, the small bites pair really well with drinks, and everything came out fresh. Service was friendly and attentive without being pushy, which I always appreciate. I highly recommend this spot for a night out or a special occasion.

My inaugural visit to Urban Oak provided a remarkable experience. The ambiance was exceptional, and the cuisine was of commendable quality. The generous portion sizes were a pleasant surprise. Furthermore, the customer service was outstanding. I anticipate returning in the future.

We visited this Rooftop 2 times, yesterday night and tonight. We had our dinner in a beautiful atmosphere; foods and drinks were delicious. Service was reasonable! But tonight, the taste of risotto was so much different than yesterday, I thought that it gone bad, then called waitresses and she called her manager or kitchen manager and she told us they pulled risotto from service for tonight due to similar problems from some other tables also. The performance of this Rooftop bar was not good tonight just because they have got 50-60% more customers than yesterday. Their performance was poor both in kitchen and service. We moved to patio now and enjoying the beautiful Raleigh city view here and we were with our risotto before moving here!!!

I was looking forward to trying urban oak but unfortunately had a disappointing experience. It took us 15 minutes to be acknowledged after we sat at our table and that was after flagging someone down. We ordered drinks and an appetizer- the drinks were fine but the appetizer was one of the biggest disappointments of the night. These were so-called “heirloom tomatoes” but looked like a basic steak tomato and seriously lacked flavor. We planned on getting entrees but ended up leaving early after such disappointment. The cherry on top was the automatic 20% gratuity… this was not disclosed and if I’m being fully transparent, I would not have tipped this much myself after my experience. I saw Urban Oak replied to another review complaining about the automatic gratuity saying they should make it clear before the guest orders but clearly that hasn’t happened. It was just kind of jarring as I’ve never seen automatic 20% gratuity anywhere unless it was a large party situation. I think not being fully transparent and putting this somewhere on the menu is slimy. You’d also think automatic gratuity would maybe mean cheaper menu prices but that was absolutely not the case. Their cocktails were roughly $15+. I gave two stars because the vibes were cute inside and the drinks were alright but other than that, nothing made me eager to return any time soon.

Wow! Incredible service and atmosphere. The tuna was phenomenal and the lamb meatballs were great. Our waiter Jax knocked it out the park. We would definitely come back. <3

The server Jax was incredibly attentive and made the experience smooth from start to finish. All the cocktails were very well-balanced. Food was alright overall a little bit salty for me but nice as a bar food. Will revisit for the cocktails for sure.
