Unique restaurant featuring American grub & drinks in an informal space housing a mini-golf course.
"For the last decade, there was just one place in San Francisco where you could play a round of mini golf while sipping an espresso martini. But the Mission District’s Urban Putt, a favorite for first dates and group get-togethers since 2014, closed on December 30. According to Mission Local, the bar and venue will reopen as an outpost of Australian mini golf venture Holey Moley." - Paolo Bicchieri
"There isn’t a lot of standing room at this Mission spot because most of the space is taken up by a 14-hole putt-putt course that’s a miniature model of San Francisco, complete with its own Sutro Tower and Transamerica Pyramid. Each hole is designed with as much detail as a Disneyland ride, and scenes include everything from the Gold Rush to the Painted Ladies stuck in an earthquake—it’s just as much fun to find the little details everywhere as it is to play golf while drinking a margarita. "Australian company Funlab recently bought San Francisco’s Urban Putt (along with the brand’s Denver location) and now the company is giving both outposts an update, the San Francisco Standard reports. The company states it will take the 'irreverent spirit' of its Holey Moley mini-golf brand and give it 'a distinctively American twist' with its new U.S. locations. Not sure what that means, exactly, but the new Urban Putt (or, Holey Moley San Francisco) will debut in early 2024 with 18 holes." - Dianne de Guzman

"Beyond an intricate, 14-hole indoor mini-golf course (basically a playable art installation) and a wide selection of food, beer, and cocktails, Urban Putt has a small game room to keep patrons entertained. Long line for golf? Play some skee-ball while you wait." - Caleb Pershan
