Little cute coffee shop next to sugar park. Love the atmosphere, the staffs are very nice. Trendy, give me Utah vibes. Nice visit for my Utah trip.

I really really liked the mocha here! Such rich taste. The staff were great and tons of seating. I can’t wait to go back for another coffee!

Google
Urban Sailor Coffee is a total gem! I ordered the white chocolate latte with oat milk and it was absolutely perfect — a smooth, creamy finish with just the right amount of coffee flavor coming through. You can tell they really care about the quality of their drinks. The vibe was cozy and welcoming, and the staff was super friendly. I’ll definitely be back next time I need a coffee fix!

I frequent this coffee shop once or twice a month. The quality is consistently good and the workers are really friendly. The inside has a nice atmosphere and there is some patio seating when the weather is nice. Parking can be sparse on the weekend, but usually can find street parking on View St. just east of the shop.

I ordered a hot 16 oz mocha with oat milk instead of 2% milk and my friend ordered a hot 16 oz latte with 2% milk (as it came). The first few sips weren't my favorite, it tasted incredibly bitter with a tasteless foam. After adding two packs of sugar cane sugar myself it tasted a lot better! My friend's coffee tasted like hot, flavorless milk. After they added another shot of espresso it tasted a bit better. Very nice, dark lit aesthetic with lots of seating. Overall coffee beans themselves taste higher quality but next time I believe I'll have to add on my drink to get the first sip experience I'm looking for.

So happy I chanced upon this cafe today! We needed a spot to work while waiting for our Airbnb. The baristas were so welcoming and friendly, and the matcha latte was DELISH. I ordered it cold and sweetened with honey. They also offer free refills on black coffee if you get the 16oz apparently. We arrived at 8:30am and got lucky with the parking. The cafe is so vibes and also has a nice view of the park nearby.

Urban Sailor Coffee in Sugarhouse, Salt Lake City, offers a fantastic atmosphere, exceptional coffee, and mouthwatering pastries. The cozy yet vibrant space is perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Highly recommended for coffee lovers and pastry enthusiasts alike!

Arrived at 8:30am on Friday and it was closed. Many people were confused. Since I’m taking the time to review. Here are things that need improvement: - regular drip is good but $4.50 👎 - espresso is not great, particularly the lattes and the mochas. The coffee doesn’t stand out much and chocolate isn’t flavorful. If you get the 16oz, it tastes like milk. 👎 - closing at 3pm. I get it most people drink their coffee in the morning but every day many people are getting kicked out. Clearly if that many people are still there, that means customers might still purchase. You have lots of students, they drink coffee late. Personally, I’m not a student but I drink coffee until 5pm and I’m not alone. 👎 +++ The location is AMAZING which is why it has good reviews. Atmosphere is also good. 👍

Yelp
It's the motorcycle for me, jk lol. But really, this place gives off cool and grungy vibes. Parking can be found in the streets. I usually don't have issues finding one. Menu is simple. I normally order their Cortado. It's the right coffee/milk ratio. They usually serve it with a side of sparkling water to balance your pallet if needed, which I found interesting. Staff is friendly. There are several seatings outdoors and indoor--tables, chairs, loveseat size leather sofas, booths, so several options to choose from. The decor has industrial accents--dark, rugged, steel-frame, and vintage. There's only one restroom.

Yelp
They greeted me with a warm welcome right when I came in, and the barista helped me pick up pistachio latte. It's absolutely delicious and I'm glad I tried this. I would definitely come here and try other products. Cool vibe inside. A lot of people socializing and hanging out just doing their thing!

Yelp
While in town for work I came here a few times to get my morning coffee. They don't open until 7am so if you have an extra early morning, it's unfortunately not an option but, very tasty coffee, nice atmosphere and kind staff. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I've heard people talking about Urban Sailor Coffee for a while, but finally made it out to experience it myself....and the people were right. This is a great coffee shop with a cool vibe. Service is quick and the coffee is on point. It's on the smaller side, so can get full pretty quickly, but if you get there early and can snag a table, it's a chill place to meet with friends or get a little work done.

Yelp
Fun interesting place. If I lived here I would come work here. Friendly staff but subpar coffee and just about zero food options. Pretty latte art too.
google avatar

Yelp
Went to Urban Sailor based on exceptional Yelp ratings, and it lived up to expectations. Prompt, friendly service, and the iced Chai latte and iced vanilla latte we ordered were outstanding. Also ordered a fritter to share, and it was delish. Not too sweet, and paired perfectly with our iced coffee drinks. Great experience overall! Urban Sailor will be our new 'go-to' coffee spot in SLC!

Yelp
Warm & welcoming baristas; cozy, casual atmosphere; really good coffee. Urban Sailor would be a regular favorite for me if we lived in SLC. Breve Cortado was well balanced & hot. Latte was not only beautiful, but smooth & delicious.

Yelp
Urban Sailor is my go-to for studying! The booths are so comfortable and perfect to get some work done. The only downside is that not all of them have outlets, so make sure you charge your laptop/tablet first! The music is always amazing and not too loud, which is something I find very important when I'm trying to focus. The service is great and pretty quick. Most of the time they bring your coffee to your table. I love getting their mocha. It's just a tiny bit sweet with a delicious chocolate flavor. They have a small parking lot out front, but most of the time I find that it's full. There is a lot of street parking nearby though so it's not really a problem.

Yelp
The espresso here is extremely sour, something wrong with either the beans or extraction temperature. You can't tell if it's bad espresso when you drown it in milk and sugar. But if you're going to serve traditional espresso drinks, you should be tasting the espresso every morning to make sure it's drinkable.
google avatar

Yelp
I got a matcha latte it was beautiful. Parking is a bit of a pain and lots of people work remotely here

Yelp
Quite impressed with this place- my decaf shot was pulled perfectly for a 3:30 pm - well balanced, incredibly beautiful beans and talented baristas that know how to dial in the science and art of a good coffee. Flavor was on point, not too much acid or bitterness - but could still taste the actual fruit or the bean. Interior is lovely, very chill and warm/cozy vibes. Great spot for a quick coffee/ hang out/ work space but mostly actually significantly well done coffee which is occasionally a bit harder to find in SLC, happy to have found another one to add to our limited list here.

Yelp
Stopped by on Mother's Day to grab coffee and pastries before heading back up to North Ogden. Hubs was able to order a 16 oz cappuccino (16 oz!!!!) and he enjoyed it, and I ordered a lovely iced chai latte that was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. We also picked up a couple of savory pastries from the counter that they warmed up and we ate them practically immediately. The atmosphere of Urban Sailor is so neat. There was a cellist and saxophone player playing soft music while we were there which was lovely to listen to. Definitely will be back as we continue to go back and forth between SLC and North Ogden.

Yelp
I don't know why I slept on this place for so long! It's literally down my street. I'm crazy picky and everything was incredible. But MOST importantly my Americano (the drink I always get to test the quality and taste) was one of the best if not THE best I've had in salt lake! It is amongst the best I've had anywhere actually! Then on to the pastries. When I say they're next level I mean it. I've never had a coffee shop pastry that delicious and fresh ever. I'm addicted. The service was also amazing. So friendly and helpful! The ambiance: think elevated central perk. lol. Comfy couches and chairs! Big booths. Y'all bar if you love that! And last but not least...pricing! Totally normal and for the quality and everything else it's a damn bargain! I'm a fan. I'll be back daily.

Ethan L A.

Yelp
first off this place smells like molding milk, second, how hard is it to leave room for cream in a large coffee ?? apparently too complicated an order to for the very distracted baristas to remember. leaky lids too. take ur business elsewhere.
google avatar

Abby V.

Yelp
Urban sailor is one of my go to study spots. They have free wifi and lots of kinds of seating depending on what you're working on. They have great origins for coffee and the baristas are very nice and greet you as you come in!
google avatar

Yelp
Quaint coffee shop with friendly staff and spacious interior. Very close to Sugarhouse Park if you want to grab a coffee before taking a stroll in the park. Love that they allow dogs inside too!
google avatar

Julia B.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place. Every time I come here it exceeds my expectations. The service is very quick and the shop itself has such a good ambiance. It has an assortment of seating options. The chai latte is always my go to here and is #1 on my list! So glad I found this Sugarhouse gem.
google avatar

Allison N.

Yelp
Awesome coffee! We came here after a run in Sugarhouse Park, which is right across the street from here. Ordered a latte and it was honestly one of the smoothest, best tasting lattes I've ever had. We even came back the next morning before flying out because the coffee was that good. Looked like there were a lot of people working in the coffee shop, so must be pretty popular. The baristas were really friendly and the prices were fair too!
google avatar

Yelp
This quiet little coffee shop I would say is the best place here in SLC to do homework while having some delicious coffee. The staff was amazing! The only downside I would say is that the seating could be more varied. It is a pretty quiet place to do some work and meet with friends for coffee. Also, the location is amazing as it is right across from Sugar House Park.
google avatar

Hayley C.

Yelp
A nice little coffee place. Parking was not as easy, but when I found a spot, the area was very clean and of course more modern. The atmosphere was fine and a little busy for the area I thought. The coffee was good but nothing outrageous, however I did think it was a cute little area and the service was quick.
google avatar

Milan N.

Yelp
Urban Sailor has quickly surpassed my usual haunts as a prevailing favorite local coffee shop. The coffee is well roasted and each rotation boasts a new and interesting flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and feels more akin to New York than Salt Lake (extra kudos for a variety of seating options). But above all, each person who works at Urban Sailor treats the customers with care and familiarity. All you could ask for in a regular's coffee shop.
google avatar

Lilly K.

Yelp
I really loved the ambiance here! Great couches and work spaces for those who are looking for them. The location is convenient being right across from sugarhouse park but i will say parking is a bit of a nuisance given theres only a few spots for the shop and the rest are street parking that you share with other businesses. The baristas were great in educating us on the drink menu. The matcha is unsweetened so if you want it sweeter id recommend adding a pump of vanilla syrup. Otherwise theres more pastries then what is displayed so id take a look at the menu. Overall a good choice for a coffee shop + work place vibe.

Yelp
This is such a cute establishment. I stopped here after a spinning class and grabbed an horchata latte (half sweetened). It was very good and the right amount of cinnamon flavor without it being overpowering. The people were very friendly I will definitely come back when I'm back in town.

Aubree W.

Yelp
AMAZING COFFEE!!! After a 7 hour road trip I was feeling a little tired and this was just the thing I needed to change my mood! Wishing I was a local so I could make this my new go to. Definitely will be back next time I'm in SLC.
google avatar

Cameron P.

Yelp
This is a great place to get coffee and hang out. The cold brew I got tasted about as good as any good cold brew in SLC, but the inside was exceptionally clean and well-decorated. It felt modern, urban (of course), and welcoming. There was even live music when we went on a Saturday morning. The parking is sparse, but you can more often than not find street parking if the small lot is full. Whatever the case is, I highly recommend checking this place out!
google avatar

Yelp
My friend bought me a giftcard for this location. It's a really good coffee shop with good coffee, lattes, and comfy furniture to sit on. It's not too busy either.

Miami M.

Yelp

Yelp
Low quality photo, high quality coffee shop. I absolutely loved the vibe at Urban Sailor Coffee. It's super cozy and comfortable. And has kickass branding. It's the type of coffee shop you want to spend the entire day sitting in a booth and sipping your way through the menu. I got so lost in my visit that I failed to snap some decent photos! My favorite part about my visit was the friendly "good morning!" and "hello!" I immediately received from the baristas upon walking in. The next time you're in Sugarhouse and need a cup of coffee, you should definitely give Urban Sailor a try.

Yelp
LOREN and ARCHER bringing the Thursday morning Java jive. Seriously though, such great coffee blended with perfect flavors if you want. Another awesome brew. Many thanks. Ciao.

Yelp
Good coffee great vibe! Very friendly staff, close to the sugar house park with wonderful view to the mountains. Definitely will come back to hangout!

Yelp
Some of the unexpectedly best coffee we've had and I don't even have a picture of it. ~ After landing at the airport from a weeklong out-of-state roadtrip and another 2.5 more hours drive to go, we popped in here to grab coffee for the asphalt highway. The beau is a coffee hound and found this place after we were tired of syrupy coffee elsewhere. After navigating some tricky, tight parking spaces, I stayed in the car so he could quickly grab our drinks. Obviously the Urban Sailor coffee motorbike lured me out of our corner curb spot. We both had iced lattes perfectly brewed and flavored without lingering aftertaste residue. Good thing I took a photo because the location setting helped the beau return here a second time.

Yelp
My new favorite local coffee haunt! I had a wonderfully balanced chai latte (I asked them to emphasize the spice a bit at the expense of sweetness) that sweet-talked my taste buds then robbed them at gunpoint. It was arguably the best chai I've ever had (the custom stenciled logo in the foam was super cool). My order was complete with a bran muffin which was moist and tasty, nothing like dry cardboard creations I've had before. The café itself had a wonderful row of south-facing windows which framed the Wasatch Range beautifully and let in a large amount of natural light. It was cozy but not cramped, and a variety of seating from booth to armchair to window bench meant that I could choose my seating without feeling herded into compartments. Family-owned -run, the service was super friendly, I got educated in fine detail about their offerings and origins as well as some help with pairing for eats. There's a great vibe here with an emphasis on quality versus quantity. Go there right now and see what you've been missing from the ubiquitous industrial coffee chains that seem to pop up every three blocks. I really dig the branding, merchandising, and general decor of this place. It reminds me of coffee bars back in the day before mass express drive thru congestion and flavor commoditization killed the authenticity and careful coffee creation of independent coffeehouses. I ended up buying a glass with the logo on it so I could take the feeling home with me.

Yelp
Cozy space, great coffee. While visiting SLC, my husband and I stopped in here to cozy up with some coffee on a chilly morning. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the guys behind the counter - they were super soft-spoken (like truly some of the most calming voices I've heard, so that was lovely) and just super friendly. I ordered a hot caramel latte w/ almond milk & my husband got an iced caramel latte. We went straight for a booth while waiting for our orders - love that they have booths in this shop!! The latte art on my hot latte was beautiful and the coffee was so good, while my husband's iced latte was also very good. Highly recommend this comfy spot!
google avatar

Yelp
Got a mocha with oat milk and it was so sour I couldn't swallow. Friend got a hot chocolate and it was just as bad. Wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Vy Van K.

Yelp
Another great coffee shop as I explore the local coffee shops in my quest to break the monotony of working from home. The coffee was good, but if you're looking for food they only had croissants today but from the menu it appears there is usually sweet and savory options. Free wifi and a counter with plenty of plugs for charging is key. However, the best part is the beautiful view which brings it to a whole nother level. TLDR: no frills coffee shop with a great view for doing work
google avatar

Rose H.

Yelp
Urban Sailor Coffee is awesome. They take such pride in their product and put their best effort into each drink. Their espresso is really such a star and so is their cold brew. The staff is also really nice and they have such a great ambiance and space for staying around with your drink to work/study.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
Dog friendly. Nice atmosphere. Great staff! Good coffee & hot chocolate. Dogs and kids rate it 5/5 stars.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of the best cold brews in the area. Their coffee is great, and I'm glad to know that there are more new places. Great customer service.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a latte & a savory. Hit the spot! Lovely space, chill, quiet vibe with natural light and outlets. Got work done and was able to relax.
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
Full disclosure, I am not a coffee drinker. I was in the neighborhood waiting for something and a family member wanted coffee. The large umbrella and the motorcycle with a side car grabbed my attention so we walked over. We were immediately greeted by the staff, and ordering was completed within a minute of entering. The prices we much cheaper than the other national chains. As we looked around the facility was very clean, welcoming, and had a fun atmosphere. Our order was ready to go within minutes, and we were off. When I inquired about how the coffee was, the response was "really good! I would come back". So there you have it. We will be back the next time we are in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
The staff here is always SO nice. The coffee is great and they have some amazing pastries. It's a great neighborhood spot to stop in and sit for a bit or to take your coffee to the park across the street.
google avatar

Noel V.

Yelp
Urban Sailor Coffee shop has all the coffee shop vibes. It's right in the center of sugar house. It has a nice relaxing feel and the people there are so friendly. The aesthetics comes off masculine, vintage, clean, and simplistic. I got a dirty chai with pistachio recommended by the guy who checked us out. Great spot to lounge or study, great location, great coffee, and great atmosphere.
google avatar

Giannabrie F.

Yelp
Best matcha in town. Love this place and the customer service is excellent. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
Such great smooth coffee. Highly recommend any of the espresso drinks. I kept it simple with an espresso and caramel. Nice tranquil atmosphere to chill and sip when needing a break or prepping to jump start your day.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Stopped here on our way out of town driving back to the Bay Area. Loved this place. Smooth and tasty latte and drip coffee, yummy pastries, friendly service, great vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Will definitely be back next time we are in town.
google avatar

Craigster D.

Yelp
First visit today. Warm and welcoming inside with a very cozy vibe. Baristas were awesome and the coffee was excellent. I will be making this a weekly stop!
google avatar

Phuong L.

Yelp
Beautiful coffee shop when we there.. we feel really relax and taste the coffee vanilla with little bread croissants.. awesome

Lily H.

Yelp
I wanted to come here but there is absolutely 0 available parking. There are about 10 spots in the front of the building, but there are apartments right above so be aware you might be fighting for a place! There is a residential road running behind the place, but there are all of the people that live in those homes parking there. Just making this post so people are aware and prepared!
