Google
$25 for a skimpy portion of carne asada fries where the carne asada were tiny overcooked chewy pieces. And there was a $3 service fee for whatever reason. Do not recommend and will definitely not be coming back

Vanessa Luchi

Google
The tacos were really good. I asked the jalapeño salsa on the side because for me it would be too spicy. The service was on point. The waiter was nice, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The music was great, and they have outdoor seating. It was a great experience.

Google
It was a nice restaurant in an affluent area. We got there after lunch and before dinner rush and we were told we have to wait to be seated-no problem, but the entire dining room was empty and there were only people at 2 small tables on the balcony- we ended sitting in the same area. Good thing there was a break in the rain. It took almost 30min to get our food and drinks ordered, then we lost track of time once our apps and drinks were served. I'll say they had their own flair to their food and presentations, but not much authentic tradition in the foods. It was potions were decent but prices too high matched the area nd ambience, but not the food itself.

Google
It has great atmosphere with outdoor space. I happened to be there on a Tuesday and they have $5 Tacos on Tuesday. I had carnitas and fish tacos. The carnitas one is really good.

Madhup Chandra

Google
All cocktails were good, food had great presentation but some items missed the mark like Socal famous fish tacos were chewy. Service was good but slow.

3zekiel16

Google
15$ Ceasar salad, dressing on the side. Wasn't bad. I just expected more than a 3$ box of Romain lettuce, and a few slices of tomato.

Sudatta Gautham

Google
Had a wonderful dinner at Urbana. Very friendly service. Margaritas were well made. Micheladas were superb. Veggie tacos were well presented and their spicy salsa really has a kick to it!

Keoni Simmons

Google
Service was on point. Ordered a few different items and they were good overall. The filet tacos were definitely the best and the pork belly was decent. The chicken was dry for the mole tacos. Nachos and elote hit the spot.

Yelp
This has become one of my go to places for catching up with a friend and having a drink, or for a last-minute date night, because it's easy to get a reservation even for Saturday night. The patio is a great mix of buzzy and chill, with a good soundtrack but also not extremely crowded. I got my go to drink here, Noche en Tulum. My friend got the piña colada, which came in a kitschy Half coconut styled cup. We also got the guacamole, which was very good. And we each got two tacos. I got the Baja fish which is very tasty here, and she got one of those and the cauliflower. Frances was a great server. I have had her before too. My friend and I had a lot to catch up on, so she left us alone and didn't rush us out while we kept talking. The only bathroom here is deep into sky deck inside, which is much more of a zoo than this chill patio. But otherwise I really like this place! The vibes and service are great, the price is fair, and the food and drinks are very good.

Yelp
This was probably one of the least tasty tacos I've ever had the sad opportunity to splurge time and $$$ wastefully on. Honestly, I knew what I was walking into, ordering from a "fancy" place for tacos when there's plenty of delicious hole in the wall shops down the street. Sky Deck is romantic, but the food here is a mood killer. And yes you didn't read the prices wrong. $18 for 3 tiny tacos - al pastor & carnitas $20 for 2 cardboard not tacos- tostadas are not tacos and I wouldn't have ordered these if I knew they were tostadas. Come for the vibes, leave for food elsewhere.

Yelp
Oh I just have to add how wonderful the flan is! I came on my birthday and enjoyed the sparklers! Also. This place had the best staff!! Frances is our favorite server! Followed by Jose and Tito! All so wonderful and make our dining experience memorable. Chase at the bar, and Eric the manager are also great. Hats off to the management who makes this our favorite restaurant in Del Mar

Yelp
A quick drink here while we wait for our reservation to Understory Bar just feet away and I went with a classic... - Old Fashioned | A little sweet and bitter with a hint of citrus for fun. My friend got a shot of Reposado and the price made me fall off my bar stool, $50?! Damn. I took a $3 sip; it came through smooth with notes of smokiness. Excellent, but again, damn... Location is on the second floor Sky Deck at Del Mar Highlands (food hall). There's a surface lot in front and parking is free, but you gotta hunt it down. You can also park in a parking structure (behind all the shops) off of Townsgate Drive. I'd come back to try out their food next time, and maybe like a half shot of Reposado.

Yelp
Took a quick spot and tried this amazing restaurant at skydeck Delmar. I like the ambience, positive vibes and there is lot of different cuisine available at same place. Tried their rolled tacos, I will give complete five start on the presentation, quantity and food taste. I am planning to visit again as this place is definitely worth it and try other items from the menu.

Yelp
Urbana is located at the front of the upscale food hall known as the Sky Deck. The ambience is very nice and they feature both indoor and outdoor seating. I tried the three taco plate here for lunch. The tacos were very upscale with gourmet touches like balancing salty with sour garnishes. There are so many taco options in San Diego and these were definitely not run of the mill. A good place to try tacos with a gourmet flair.

Yelp
Overpriced Mexican fare in the sky deck near del mar. Similar to Puesto, the tacos are good but it feels bad that they cost so much you can't get as much variety. And some of the taco combinations were a bit bland like the pork belly. The drinks were just ok, a little watered down. We got the nachos - they were nothing special. As other reviewers noted, there's no complimentary chips and salsa which we would have preferred. We had no trouble getting a seat on a Thursday evening and the shopping center has ample parking. Wait staff was nice but it took a while for food and drinks to start coming out. Good location though for food.

Yelp
I hosted a Friday dinner for my MeetUp Fun Diego Ladies group. Our party of 11 had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful ambiance, delicious food, and tasty cocktails. The day prior to our visit was National Margarita Day, but the restaurant decided to extend the margarita specials for our visit. I ordered the margarita with repo tequila and have to say it was the best I've had. What really surprised me was I did not turn blotchy red! Yes, I have that Asian glow that's not very flattering! Normally ANY alcohol makes me turn blotchy red from my head to my tummy, so I tend to stay away from alcoholic beverages. I can handle the alcohol, but don't care for the side effects. I guess I'll know where to go next time I want a tasty margarita without the redness! Seriously though, they have good stuff! For my meal, I ordered the fish tacos and carnitas. I absolutely love the habanera sauce that came with my carnitas taco. It was packed with heat and was incredibly flavorful. A few of my friends ordered this sauce on the side for $1. I didn't care for all the cream on the fish tacos, so next time, I'm going straight for the carnitas! Our server Chase took good care of us and was quick to take our orders and deliver our cocktails and food. My only negative feedback about this restaurant was they did not provide complimentary chips and salsa. Guacamole and chips with a tiny serving of salsa was $11, which was overpriced in my opinion. The serving was relatively small in comparison to other Mexican restaurants that provide complimentary chips. This would be my go-to place for Mexican cuisine if they had free chips and salsa. For now, I would come here on the rare occasion when I crave a good margarita and some butt-kicking habanera sauce.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and recently revisited as I had an opentable reward to use. They offer happy hour 3-6p Mon-Fri in all the dining area which was great. We decided to sit at the bar to watch the football game. The bartender was welcoming. We tried (for HH): HH red wine $7: - not sure the brand but it tasted fine . Was a decent pour Spicy Marg $8: - presentation was beautiful with a fresh watermelon slice and an orchid. It had a nice spicy kick to it as I think the tequila was infused with habanero Wagyu Sliders $12: - the patties were prepared well done and dry. The melted cheese was yummingly grilled so it had a nice sear. Buns were toasted nicely. Fish ceviche $5: - tiny little tostada serving. The spicy aioli complimented the citrusy fish. It's a small portion but tasted pretty good Gringa $10: - al pastor quesadilla came served with guacamole and creama. The portion was good for the price. I thought I tasted beans somewhere in dish but it doesn't show that on menu. The drizzled chili oil made the dish nicely spicy. There didn't seem to be much as al pastor but still a good dish if you're hungry Paloma $8: - I believe this is their grapefruit margarita. The powdered salted rim was bold. They make good drinks here. The restaurant got busier towards the end of HH so it was nice to see this place doing well. We'd come back for their taco tuesday deals ( two tacos for $10).

Yelp
Blown away by Urbana! Not only is this place a total vibe, but they are serving absolutely delicious food & cocktails! Highly recommend the Muertos cocktail! One of the best spicy drinks I've ever had! And the spicy Al pastor taco was one of the best tacos I've ever had! So yeah, this place is pretty bomb! Another thing that made this place stand out, was the awesome service! Shout out to Jose! This location also has a dog friendly patio.

Yelp
Made a weekday lunch reservation with a girlfriend, but it wasn't necessary as there was zero wait at opening. Loved the industrial vibe of the resto as well as the gorgeous murals. Portions are petite but tasty (just like us ;)! We shared a fresh Verde Mix (mixed greens, cucumber, pickled red onion, pepita, house made lemon vinaigrette) and flavorful Elote (Mexican street corn esquite with spicy aioli, chile con limon, cotija), and each ordered a couple tacos. I enjoyed the Arrachera Steak (guacamole, salsa roja, queso fresco) and Pork Belly (house pickled cucumber, chili oil, cilantro aioli), but found the latter to be a touch too greasy. I should've gone with Carnitas (habanero salsa, queso fresco, pickled onion) like my friend did!

Yelp
Hadn't been to this center in a few years, and was so surprised by the renovations. The Sky Deck is pretty cool and they've added so many more options now for dining in Carmel Valley / Del Mar. Had 3 tacos - Baja Fish, Carnitas, and Gobernador. All of them were delicious, but the Gobernador was the best. The habanero salsa on the Carnitas was spicy but tolerable - also very tasty! The watermelon mint agua fresca was a perfect balance to the spice. Really enjoyed the outdoor dining space, too! Perfectly shows off our beautiful San Diego weather!

Yelp
With so many amazing Mexican spots in San Diego, this restaurant missed the mark when it comes to tacos.

Yelp
Chips and salsa are a necessary part of a Mexican meal and the vast majority of Mexican restaurants that I've dined at offer them as a complimentary part of the meal. Unfortunately, Urbana doesn't. I came for Taco Tuesday but was disappointed to see that not all of their tacos are included on the special menu. Out of the 10 tacos on the regular menu, 7 of which are the same price with 3 premium tacos, only 5 of the tacos are included on the Taco Tuesday menu. It seems it would make sense to include all the non-premium tacos. The drink specials didn't seem particularly special either at $11-12. I ended up picking one of the Taco Tuesday (baja fish) and one off the regular (arrachera steak). The tacos were 2 for $10 on Taco Tuesday and 2 for $13 on the regular menu. Both tacos were good. The steak was tender and the fish had a nice texture. Not the best tacos I've ever had but good enough. I enjoyed the outdoor patio and wouldn't be opposed to making this a regular spot except for the lack of chips and salsa. It's just hard to pick a Mexican spot as a go-to that doesn't offer those when there are so many good options that do.

Yelp
Bumping up to 5 stars! This place is a must visit. Food and drinks are always, consistently amazing. The service is top notch from the waiters/waitresses (Francis is awesome) and bartenders (Chad, Jose, and Eddie are the best) to the manager Eric. They changed the situation with the TVs and have modern television and sports upon request. I love the patio area and the outdoor portion of the bar where you can still sit at the bar while on a swing set...so cool!

Yelp
Food was so good and drinks were really yummy!! We will definitely be coming back!! Our server, Sergio, was also really nice!!!

Yelp
Honestly this was our first time here. Sadly this place was just not it in different areas if you're looking for good Mexican cuisine food I just wouldn't go here. Pozolo was super saucey with barely any hominy. I also order the ceviche and it was just a bowl of pico de gallo with barely and shrimp. My kiddos ordered a quesadilla and fish tacos and wow it was the absolute worst. The quesadillas were cold and cheese wasn't melted all the way through. To top it off there we were the only ones sitting outside that had ordered another couple was here with their food already and the service was terrible. Waited about 25-30 to get our food and I'm not even going to get started on the drinks. Super dissapointed. We were on vacation this this was just a Debby downer. I would not recommend. Please please if you want frozen tasting food .. go here but hope this helps anyone looking for good Mexican food don't go here.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Thursday and ordered three tacos: carnitas (very good and has a spicy kick with the delicious habanero salsa), cauliflower (surprisingly very good and my favorite of the three), and mole chicken (least favorite of the three). The food took more than twenty minutes to come out, even though there didn't seem to be many customers on a Thursday lunchtime. There's indoor and outdoor seating and we opted to sit on their spacious outdoor seating. I would definitely come again for the cauliflower and carnitas taco and probably try a new one next time!

Yelp
Urbana was definitely a VIBE! The ambiance was super cool inside but we had to sit outside, luckily we had a nice heater that kept us warm. I ordered the carne asada burrito that was pretty good but nothing out of this world. The only element of the entree that I did not like was the green salsa that the burrito was sitting on that made it very difficult for me to eat with my hands. I would've appreciated a nice green salsa on the side. I had to eat my burrito with a knife and fork due to not wanting dirty hands on my visit. My friend got the flight of tacos with cauliflower, rib eye, and chicken as her options. She loved each one and found them very delicious. The chips and salsa came with guacamole and they were nice but definitely overpriced for what we got. I would totally appreciate unlimited chips and salsa and they should think about adding that the the menu. The server was nice and responsive to our needs but definitely took long to grab us napkins and the check. Our server was also nice to offer free churros since it was my friends bday. The tamarindo drink had a cute presentation but unfortunately was very watery. Overall the experience was a 3/5. Nothing I ate "Wow'd" me but there were a few items that I'd be interested in trying if I ever decide to visit again.

Yelp
Very rude staff! Very Unprofessional and food is mediocre at best. The restaurant was half empty when we arrived. They insisted to seat us in some unappealing corner in some back room. When I specified i preferred to be seated in the actual dining area, they told us those tables are already reserved. It's interesting the amount of lying they think they get away with. Apparently open table offers guests the option to choose the table they would like to be seated at. I looked it up in open table and didn't find such options. Until The end of our time at this place, no one showed up or sat at those vacant tables. The main manager guy is a pill, he's rude and acts like he's your high school bully. Not customer service oriented mentality whatsoever. They made a mockery of where they would seat us, they waiters barely visited our table to ask if we would like anything. When I caught a waiter passing by and asked for a sauce, she wasted speaking about the different types of sauces they offer and left to never bring it to the table. They then excused it by saying well That wasn't your waiter. That head waiter guy is vile and very offensif. Don't go there. After being a longtime customer and bringing friends to it over the time I've been going there. Never again. Oh and the ambiance felt more like an office with a bar but their background music was so loud we couldn't hear each other speak. There are many great restaurants to choose from and there is by no means one of them. We spend money to have a pleasant time, but waiters and staff like this don't understand that it's not about how they feel but about how they treat people to feel at ease and comfortable. The owner of this restaurant needs to get a better staff.

Yelp
Came here yesterday to order food to go. This is located in Sky Deck. Cute, hip, and trendy. SERVICE - The gentleman who took my order was very friendly. He was welcoming and made some jokes here and there. Nice guy! FOOD Al Pastor Nachos - These are solid and they gave huge chunks of meat. Some of the pieces were a little tough or chunks of fat but the pieces that were truly just meat tasted good. My husband described the flavor as more of a "southwestern" type of Mexican vibe. Topping were plentiful. Wagyu Sliders - So subpar. I expected more but it truly just tasted like a basic slider. Maybe even a little dry. Burrito - I never had corn in my burrito before so this was a different take on what I am used to. It had a lot of flavor and the meat was tender. Overall, food was okay. Can't say it would be my favorite. Think upscale Mexican food with the price tag.
google avatar

Gillian W.

Yelp
This place is way better than Puesto (basic bougie Mexican food). I ordered the burrito and my husband ordered the mix and match tacos (he chose pork belly taco, steak taco, and the Al pastor taco). Everything tasted WONDERFUL. The spices were too overwhelming or powerful and never canceled out the freshness or the flavors of the ingredients. Surprisingly for a Sunday mornin/afternoon, it wasn't busy at all. And the service of our waiter, Gilly, was incredible. Super nice and personable and made us feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend this place over Puesto.

Yelp
We made a brunch reservation, but luckily it wasn't crowded at all. You have the option of reserving indoor or outdoor. I prefer the outdoor patio. We got a lot to share: - guac and chips: comes with salsa, the chips are warmed up - elote: comes in a bowl for easy sharing, super flavorful - birria burrito (brunch menu): comes cut in half for easy sharing. Also comes with a consommé for dipping. I like the presentation but having the bottom half in salsa made it kind of soggy. - shrimp taco: super tasty and worth it. - watermelon mint agua fresca: really refreshing, not too sweet. - churros with chocolate sauce: comes out hot and toasty. - bread pudding: this is the only item I'd skip. The bread pudding was pretty dry and flavorless. Overall, my family really enjoyed this spot for the nice ambiance and good selection of food.

Yelp
Amazing spot at the Sky Deck, and it was lively. Service was excellent here and provided great recommendations. Ordered different types of tacos, al pastor nachos, enchiladas, elote, and burrito. All the ingredients were fresh and tasted really well. The spiced powder on the elote added a nice kick with rich flavors. Burrito was my favorite since the steak was cooked to perfection and mixed well with the purple cabbage. Also, the cream and salsa Verde added a unique taste to the steak. Highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
Was craving tacos so after searching Yelp, I came across this place and thought to give it a try! We visited on a rainy Sunday night for an early dinner. Food 5/5 Ordered elote (corn), wagyu sliders, and 2 taco combos. We tried baja fish, carnitas, mole, and arrachera steak. Everything was absolutely delicious! The tacos are on the spicy side so be mindful of that but they were all very yummy and filling. 3 tacos + wagyu sliders + elote would've been just enough but we wanted to try more tacos as they all sound delicious! Ambiance/location 5/5 We were SO confused as to where this place is! Thought it might be upstairs because it wasn't clear on the Maps app but didn't see at first.. you can take the elevator, escalator, or stairs and go upstairs inside a very cute food court with tons of other restaurants and it's the first restaurant on the right! I love the concept of this place as it gives you options to either dine in at a specific restaurant or get different food and enjoy it all together in the common/shared seating area! The restaurant itself is cute & cozy! Bathrooms are outside & shared with other restaurants! There are tons of stores in this shopping center so there's a huge parking lot and it took us a few minutes to find parking. Service 5/5 Our serve, Teagan, was extremely patient, attentive, and helpful. He explained the spice level of each dish to us as requested! He offered to put the spicy sauces on the side so we could add as much as we like! He was very polite and sweet! Overall 5/5 Would definitely return to this place and try their ceviche!

Yelp
Food, good, not great, flat, needs a bit of kick. I ordered a lobster taco, and another order of (2), count them, TWO tacos. My server brought me the lobster taco and then only (1), yes, ONE taco from the second order. Seriously? I asked him, are you only charging me 50% for the second order? He said no! So I said, where's my missing half order???? It's simple math, come on dude. And he wasn't even apologetic, that's why this place gets 3 stars.

Yelp
Amazing food. Authentic cuisine and the flavors were immaculate. I loved their outdoor area. We came for our 2nd wedding anniversary and the service was outstanding! We sat at the swings for a drink before we got seated for dinner. Will definitely come back!!!

Yelp
Nick did an amazing job with service and food/ drink recommendations. He was the best server we've had in a long time. Thanks Nick for helping me celebrate my mom's birthday!

Yelp
Love the food here and our server Chase was awesome! The place was busy and he was working a lot of tables but he still managed to keep everything going! The outside seating is really nice when the weather is good! Try the quesadillas!!

Yelp
We had a yummy meal at Urbana this past Friday evening. I loved the yummy chicken mole tacos and the service was great. Francis, our server, laughed with us as we put everything on the side and she did not care! It was a light and festive environment right in our own backyard

Yelp
2nd time eating here but first time doing a brunch!! And im glad we choose here!! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Our waitress was so funny and down to earth. Our food was made with love and so much flavor. The bottomless mimosas did not disappoint at all!! I was overall full and happy when I left!
google avatar

Meagan E.

Yelp
Damn. First visit I got a taco trio. They were all good but one stood out above the rest. Drinks were well made. 2nd visit I was disappointed to see I forgot my review and didn't know which taco was the best. I got the burrito (steak) and it was the best burrito Ive ever had. Knocked it out the park and I demolished the whole huge thing. The bottomless mimosas we got were a great deal: full coupe glasses with carafes of OJ. Our service both times was impeccable and super personable. Indoor seating plus large outdoor patio was perfect. Love love love. Ill be dreaming of this burrito.

Yelp
I really wanted to try out Sky Deck and this is literally the first place you find when you enter so we decided to eat here. Food & Drinks: the food was alright, the portions were small IMO and definitely not worth the price. I liked the elote the best. The tacos were rather cold and not that great, the enchilada was average too. The cocktails were definitely better than the food. Service: We were seated after a not-so-long wait and the food took some time to get in. The cocktails funnily came after we were halfway done eating. Our server was sweet to us and kept coming back. Ambiance: The patio is a nice and airy option to hang out. i loved their swings at the bar, very unique. In-all: Overall a decent place to try, but next time I'd just order something else, while keeping teh elote.

Yelp
Favorite place in skydeck! Their spicy watermelon margaritas are a must have! Happy hour menu is spectacular- must try. On warmer days, swing by the bar and experience their cute swing set along the bar. Cocktails are always consistent and fruits are super fresh. Service is 10/10.

Yelp
We were at Sky Deck, picking and choosing what we wanted from the separate eateries and saw "chef's oysters" on the menu which sounded great! It was a half dozen oysters topped with garlic butter shrimp, spiced sauce, and micro cilantro. We had our dog with us (and had ordered entrees from another place) so I asked to order the oysters to go to eat on the Sky Deck patio. Guy at the front was new so he had to call someone else to help with the order and they were able to assist me. A few minutes pass, and the second guy comes out with another person saying that oysters cannot be ordered to go. I didn't know this (neither did the two assisting me) and it was not a problem so I requested a refund - the staff then came up with a solution saying we could eat in the patio area specifically for Urbana and I thought that was a great compromise, I could still eat my oysters and even order drinks now. We were sat and ordered a couple drinks and my fiancé went to pick up our entrees (ramen from marufuku!) then we began to eat. After a few minutes, a different staff member (not a server, maybe a manager? Or something not dealing with the customers directly) interrupted us to tell us outside food was not allowed. We know this is not normally allowed (and have never done this anywhere else) but we explain our situation and how we were provided this solution. He then demands we tell him who allowed this and then left, still citing company policy. I get the situation, but you don't do this/bring this up to customers - work with your staff and figure that out first. This was the one thing that left a bad taste in the experience. So oysters and watermelon mint agua Fresca? Delicious! Service? Mixed. Great for the two staff who assisted me and provided a solution and horrible for the one who interrupted us during our meal to talk about policy even when explaining our situation.

Yelp
This place has a really great ambiance and the exterior finding has really great views. The service is quick and cordial. We ordered the Al pastor nachos, dorado and burrito washed down with a Michelada. In terms of the burrito while it looks good the flavor was ok. Nothing too special just a burrito. The dorados were interesting and the red onions were surprisingly good! The Al pastor nachos were also very good with a nice serving is Al pastor. The Michelada was okay nothing special to write home about here. All in all, great service, great ambiance and the food is ok. I wish the portions were bigger and the food had a little more flavor.

Yelp
I came here for a drink with my wife on the day that the Lakers got swept from the Western Conference finals for the Nuggets. The drinks were great, and the service was quick and friendly. However, the Lakers lost so five stars for Urbana, one star for the Lakers.

Yelp
came in on a Saturday night with a friend and they had plenty of seats. We were taken care of immediately and everything was fast! I got the mole enchiladas and the hibiscus lime mint agua fresca, and both were amazing. love the ambience and music too. Would love to come here again and try more of the dishes.

Incredibly delicious Judori Chicken Mole Enchiladas. Had them before and they reminded me why I ordered them again. It must be too early for most peeps because we have this place all to ourselves...for now! Happy Hour is off the charts. $8 for their Urbana Margarita, how can we not order one? Or two?!! So we did!! You're missing out if you're not here. Even the music is awesome. So is our server and the bartenders. Tan bueno!

Yelp
The tacos were high quality and delicious. This is not your street taco spot or taco truck. This is the sit down restaurant experience taco. The taco that leaves you tasting all different flavors. I went with my coworkers and we all loved what we got. I will return for sure and try all the other tacos. I got the Baja which was cooked perfect--the toppings and salsa were great. I also got the lobster taco and that was not as scrappy as I thought it would be. See the pics of these amazing tacos. The tortillas were fresh and tasted great. Only down side was it fell apart quickly and I did not order more.

Yelp
Very flavorful tacos. The mole sauce was great. The cocktails were amazing as well. Service was great, their outdoor deck is great for San Diego weather.

Yelp
Wanted to do a second review of Urbana because my first one didn't do it justice. Single handedly one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. Frances is without a doubt the best server I've ever met. I adore her!!! The mole enchiladas are so good that I'd want them as my last meal on planet earth. Roses are red, violets are blue Urbana - I love you

Yelp
I've been here a few times with my work now and it's been great each time. We go with around 10 people. The service is good/quick - the food taste great - & the drinks are always bomb. located in a super convenient spot too so it's a win. huge fan of the pozole, the aguachile, and the Tijuana Caesar salad. We get it every time! The guac is also a MUST! this is our go to spot for a day out and it'll continue to be :) cheers!

Yelp
My family and I walked into to Urbana and we were curious about how Mexican food. The food was good however, our server Alexis was rude and she didn't know what she was doing. I kept hearing her talk bad about my family to her coworkers. I asked if we could split the check with my family and I and she said that she couldn't. She was really disrespectful and barely gave my family and I good service. Overall the service wasn't the best. My family and I left and we are never coming back here.

Yelp
Food was really good! My fave style chips were served with the salsa. Drinks were also tasty! Service was good, our waiter wasn't around at the time we wanted more chips so we asked the waitress right next to us and she brought them right away. Ambiance was low lit and vibey. Could be a good date spot or family friendly. We brought our baby on stroller and they sat us in a great spot. Bar looked super cute too.

Yelp
Chilaquiles for breakfast were bland. The taco were not much better. The fish taco was the star. Steak and carnitas tacos were not good. The host was not friendly. We asked to sit outside and he told me it was too hot to sit outside. It's 70 degrees. Many other patrons were sitting outside. Charged for additional salsa. That didn't sit well. Maybe an off day. But I won't be back.

Yelp
Too loud to have a conversation with the person across the table from you. Our server took our order down, came back 10 minutes later and said "I guess I have a doctor hand writing because I can't read my handwriting, can I have your order again?" Brought out 2 of the 3 drinks then brought the third one out another 10 minutes later. Another server brought out the nachos we ordered then our original server brought out another platter of nachos (that we hadn't ordered). We got up and left when some kid at the table next to us snuck out a vape from his pocket and smoked it. The supervisor on duty asked why we were leaving and hopefully addresses it after we told him why. Not a family place.

Yelp
The food was good, and the service was great. However, the prices are over the top, way overpriced.

Yelp
5 stars for Ambiance, 2 stars for food. I'd overall give them 2.5 and not 2 if it were an option. I came here for Taco Tuesday with a few girlfriends and we were seated at the cutest corner booth on the patio. While the patio overlooks the parking lot, it's so high up and the way the railing is situated with the seats, you can only see the treetops, which made for a very picturesque setting. Our server was also nice enough to turn our heat lamp on with no complaints when we asked. While I was very impressed initially with the vibe, I was less impressed with my food. I will admit that I didn't come in expecting to love the food because I'm not a huge fan of "fancy" Mexican food. Mexican food doesn't need to be hip or upscale, it's fantastic and delicious as it is! But my friend really wanted to try it, so I figured that I'd give it a shot. Chips and salsa are not provided, you have to pay for them, which is a real bummer at a Mexican restaurant. I saw the owner's comment on another review where they almost sounded surprised that was expected because life is so expensive right now, but I think it's a bit of a cop out. It's common knowledge that when you go to a Mexican restaurant, you get chips and salsa. When you charge an arm and a leg for street sized tacos and most people are also getting alcoholic beverages, adding some chips isn't going to kill the business. It's just not a good look overall. And to add to that, I did see some orders on other tables and the chips that are given to those who purchase it, are very very minimal. I don't think it's worth it. I opted to try one steak taco and the elote. I've had many an elote in my life as I love it so much, so I do have a lot to compare it to and URBANA's version was so bland. I didn't even finish it because there just wasn't much flavor and I didn't think it was worth the calories. My taco was definitely more flavorful, especially with the spicy sauce provided on the side, but my steak was very fatty and really hard to chew. In fact, I had to pull it apart with my fingers every time I bit into my taco. My friend did like her steak taco and said her meat was great, so maybe I just got a bad cut or something, but definitely not worth the price according to my experience. Overall, if you want some delicious upscale tacos, I would highly recommend Puesto instead! But this is a nice place for the ambiance so maybe come here for a cocktail or something..... *In response to the owner's comment below: I brought up Puesto, not because they offer something that your establishment does not, but because my opinion is that their tacos are much better. I admitted that I think "fancy and hip" Mexican food is silly in general, but if one does want to go to a nicer place, Puesto is the better option for the money one will spend. Their food is absolutely delicious and I'm sorry to say, URBANA's was not.*
