Bourdain had: Sake and quintessential Okinawan dishes, including tofuyo (fermented beancurd that packs a hefty punch, flavor-wise) and pork belly (cooked with stock, heavily infused with bonito flakes, pork ears thinly sliced and dressed in rice-wine vinaigrette, slow-roasted ribs brined in sake and seasonings.

All Okinawa food Izakaya. Fish caught in Okinawa do it’s fresh. Not the most delicious place but I liked it. Nice atmosphere too.

This place is an absolute gem. The aesthetic of the restaurant is incredible and the food is very interesting. It’s located in one of the oldest parts of Naha, rebuilt after the war. The food options were local Okinawan choices, a real treat. Would definitely recommend.

Urizun is an atmospheric izakaya located just outside the old world alleyways of Sakaemachi. The menu offered a variety of Okinawan dishes, and I tried the Okinawan Soba, made of chewy wheat noodles in a savory broth topped with braised fatty pork, fish cake, scallions, and pickled ginger. I also had the Goya Champuru, a smokey stir-fried mixture of bittermelon, tofu, egg, and fish cake. But my favorite bite was actually the complimentary appetizer of peanut tofu, which was particularity smooth and melt-in-your-mouth creamy. Overall, the food here was delicious and came in generous portions at reasonable prices in a lovely atmosphere.

Don't understand why the rating is not higher. Please make reservations. Local okinawan dishes such as goya chips, tempura onions, seaweed salad are good. Nice place to get aged Awamori too! For the Amt of food and drinks we got, it's very reasonably priced too.

This restaurant offers authentic Okinawan dishes. The foods taste pretty good, they also have their own awamori

If you want authentic Okinawan food, there is no better place to go. We went here on a Sunday night, didn't make reservation, and were lucky to get a seat. Owner said we could only eat for one hour as they had a party coming. Place was packed with locals and people kept filing in and out. Amazing food, enough awamori to get your wasted. This is the place to visit when you are ready for the real local food.

Very old shop that has air of taking you into a different time. The wines here are supposed to be aged as "ancient" so you may wish to try those. But the star of the place is the local Okinawa food done very well. The pork belly and trotters are very popular and so are the ribs and soba. It gets crowded so make sure you get a reservation to be safe.
