Urth Caffe Review - West Hollywood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The fact this place still has lines down the block lends hard evidence to the theory that the world is indeed caught in a glitch and a faction of the population continues to believe it’s 2006. This is a coffee shop. With coffee. And tea. And some food. If this sounds similar to 1,000 other places in Los Angeles, your mind isn’t playing tricks on you anymore. Welcome back from the glitch - and stop eating at Urth." - Brant Cox

The Vogue Editors’ Guide to Los Angeles | Vogue

"Anytime I'm in Los Angeles, I always make a visit to Urth Caffé a part of my itinerary, and specifically the one located in the Arts District. It's much larger than the Melrose location so I never have issues finding a table nor feel guilty spending a few hours here." - Vogue

Pasadena’s Famous Lucky Boy Knocked Out By Overnight Kitchen Fire - Eater LA

"In related news, Downtown’s Urth Caffe is back up and running in the Arts District today after a fire in their attached roasting facility." - Farley Elliott

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend call Vespertine “Beautiful and Special” - Eater LA

"Despite reports to the contrary from the LAFD and others, it looks like the damage to Urth Caffe in the Arts District wasn’t as substantial as initially reported. The fire actually occurred in the roasting area, not the kitchen, and left the dining portion of the building relatively unscathed. Expect an opening, hopefully, in a matter of weeks. The company will also be relocating its roasting facility down to Hawthorne moving forward." - Farley Elliott

Big Kitchen Fire Heavily Damages Popular Urth Caffe in the Arts District - Eater LA

"An early morning fire hit longtime Arts District restaurant Urth Caffe. The corner space on Hewitt Street started kicking up smoke in the pre-dawn hours, and nearly 100 firefighters responded to the growing blaze before it was fully extinguished. The fire started in the roasting area, leaving the dining side relatively unscathed. The restaurant has been one of the busiest in the Arts District since it opened in 2008, with additional locations in Pasadena, West Hollywood, Laguna Beach, and Hawthorne." - Farley Elliott

Great option for a place with good atmosphere, food and coffee. Counts with parking, indoor seating area is nice but can be a little noisy and gets full pretty easy, outdoor patio has heaters and a cover for rain and wind. Coffee is good but make sure to choose the correct beans, the menu say they offer light and dark roast but they may not ask you which one do you prefer and the dark one was the default one and it was too dark for my taste, it seem they use the same for cold brew and I couldn't take more than a few sips, asking for cream or milk could help. I only ordered a croissant and didn't offer to re heat it which would be nice in the cold weather. Food was great, I ordered the roast sandwich with a salad, the meat was just a little to fatty but really good overall, right portion size and realizable priced. Service was good, friendly and asking every now and then if there was something they could help with. I'd recommend to check this place if you're around, just maybe not the best for large group if looking for indoor seating.

Always good good food and awesome service! The food is made with organic and fresh ingredients. We are never disappointed with the food here. We ordered the Diablo panini (a little spicy), Mac and cheese with chicken and the roast beef Sandwich. For dessert we shared the fruit tart and Oreo cheesecake. Drooling as I’m writing this review is all i have to say haha

A little pricey but everything does taste fresh and the food came to the table quickly. I had the chicken tostada and it was delicious and well portioned. The tea selection was impressive, I really like they have loose leaf tea and you can order a full tea pot. I will be returning to try the desserts that looked very tasty.

Enjoyed brunch here. Waited in line for about 15 minutes. Placed order and found seat. Busy but was able to find seat inside. Coffee is really good.

Urth Caffé in Downtown LA is an absolute gem! The food is not only delicious but also made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite. From their signature lattes to their savory dishes and desserts, everything is thoughtfully prepared. The vibe of the café is equally amazing—cozy yet vibrant, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot to catch up with friends or simply enjoy some time alone. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and an inviting ambiance!

A little expensive but delicious. Bring some extra cash because everything on the menu just sounds so delicious gets full and parking can be hard to find if you're not trying to pay. Great experience! Come with friends to enjoy the morning.

Stumbled upon this great place early in the morning. Had an amazing GF egg sandwich. The bread tasted home made, which is difficult being gluten free. I will definitely return when in the area again. The coffee was amazing.
