This spot has a Sugarfish format, where you can choose from 3 different tiers of a fixed menu, based on how hungry, how much food you want to eat. But there's also a an assortment of starters, sashimi, nigiri, hand or cut rolls, etc.
I stopped by in with a friend at 7pm tonight, the wait was about 15 to 20 minutes. (Resis aren't allowed) Once you're seated though, the service is really quick. The Arnold Palmer was delicious, I love a good house made lemonade. I have a shrimp allergy, so they were totally fine with making any of the rolls without. Between two people we shared:
1) spicy tuna on crispy rice- only 4 PCs to an order but good ratio to tuna and crispy rice
2) rainbow roll without shrimp- I liked it but probably the most bland of our options
3) baked crab roll- warm, savory, semi sweet, would def recommend
4) scallop and crab- subtle sweetness from scallops, could use more crab, but the flavor is pretty good
I also had two pieces of yellowtail nigiri at the end which was really fresh, it made me wish we had ordered more nigiri than rolls.
It's a smallish restaurant, but there's definitely enough room between each table. The ambience was clean and modern, higher end of fast casual. Is fast sit down a term? For a little over $80 for 2 people, this is really reasonable in price and quality wasn't compromised.
The service was really good. All the workers are really on top of things, the food came out really quick. This is the place where you're kind of in and out, they'll bring you the bill shortly after you're done, so not really a place where you can hang out and mingle to catch up. But they're pretty busy, so I completely understand. I will definitely come back.
