9 of the Best Places for Pizza in Jacksonville | Eater Miami

"Those looking for Neapolitan pizza will want to go to the closest location of V Pizza (the one in San Marco is the original). V Pizza imports its ingredients from Italy, including dry-aged meats, San Marzano tomatoes, and 00 flour. Pizzas are baked in a wood-fired clay brick oven to get the signature charred edges and bubbles on the crust. V also has some of the best chicken wings in town, with a signature sauce made of lemon, rosemary, garlic, spices, and olive oil, then topped with sweet caramelized onions."

Came in for the first time on a daddy/daughter date. We were greeted warmly by Shy. She made recommendations on the menu and chatted with us for a few minutes. She definitely made us feel like we were long-time regulars. The vibe of the place is super cool, comfortable, casual, old school sort of feel. Also very clean, which I love. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The food was 🔥🔥🔥. So good!! We had wings and pizza and after our experience tonight, I know we’ll be coming here again and again.

We just discovered this V's pizza in San Marco, and it was the best V's pizza experience I've ever had! The service was wonderful, and the food was incredible! We had the buffalo wings and a pizza (and they let us sub out sausage for pepperoni), and it was perfectly cooked in those gorgeous ovens. The atmosphere was clean and nice, only docking one star because it was rather small inside and didn't link to their Sidecar "buddy" next door like I have seen the other resteraunts do. It would hace made it feel more spacious, as Sidecar had a nice patio out front, and this V's doesn't. Plenty of parking out back, and lots of selection for your lunch! We are so happy they are open on Sundays too! As a lot of our favorite pizza joints in the neighborhood are closed on Sunday! We will be back!

Very nice and fun place to be. Me and wife went here on a Monday for dinner. Their food is just amazing. For Appetiser we had bruschetta and for entree we had a veggie pizza which was incredible. The pizza base was well done and so soft. It was a perfect dinner date for us and they also had some nice games being played at the bar. Lot of people for a Monday evening which was nice to see. Overall had a great experience And must try place as the staff are very friendly !!!

Google
We came here for Father’s Day. The service was absolutely amazing! And Because it was our first time coming here/Father’s Day the assistant manager treated us. She was amazing honestly! The wings are a 100 out of 10 seriously the best wings I’ve ever had. The pizza is 100 out of 10. Absolutely some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. And to top it off the gelato (she gave us for free we had honey comb and salted caramel) the gelato is important from Italy it was 100 out of 10. We also had the vanilla filled doughnuts they were very good and less on the sweet side. If you want authentic food with friendly fast, excellent customer service absolutely check this place out!! We will be back for every pizza craving!!!

First time here, and it was fantastic! The pizza was absolutely amazing, and we were pleasantly surprised with free wings—also delicious. The staff were super friendly, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Best wings I have ever had. I got the Hawaiian style and my god were they good. Pizza was also good but not as good as the wings in my opinion. Employees were polite and friendly. Would definitely come back.

We were visiting Jax (where we used to live) and just had to dine at the orginal V Pizza location. The wait was taking a bit long (due to how busy they were) and Dillon the location's new manager stopped by to reassure us and engage in a great convo. Hearing how passionate he is about the V mission was exciting, along with how much the company is growing. The food itself was fantastic as usual. Very few restaurants can master V's dough quality. The flavor is light, fresh and leaves you craving more. The freshness of the toppings are also on point. The mac/cheese as pictured is amazingly delicate and hearty. I really enjoyed the pesto profile this time as it hasn't been as apparant in the past. We'd also like to give a shoutout to Florio at the Jax Beach location, he's been like family to us over the years :) When you visit, don't forget to support V for Victory!

Google
Last night my friends and I decided we wanted some delicious pizza from a Jax staple. Unfortunately, there were a few issues with our service including my pizza being extremely soupy and wet (pictures above) and even after letting it cool it didn’t not take form and was unpleasant to eat. Not only this, but each of us ordered a pizza and my friend’s pizza did not come until after everyone else finished eating, not to mention the server basically threw down the pizza when he brought it to the table. Safe to say it wasn’t a great experience and I’m disappointed because this is a great local business.

Yelp
so so delicious and amazing service !!!!!! the food was great and gelato was amazing!!!

Yelp
We had this place on our "to go to" list when we came to JAX. So much in fact we drove here right from the airport. Parking: there's a lot behind the building but it is a smaller lot and it's pretty busy here where cars are either waiting for a spot or just parking elsewhere. Walked in and they have a specials board written on both sides. They also have a fall specials list at the counter. There's a kiosk to order your food from. You do order your fountain drinks at the kiosk, but the alcohol and water at the counter. The restaurant has many tables, most long bar height tables that almost resemble a lunch hall - just non stop table for miles. After asking about the protocol on ordering we ordered from the kiosk. You take a table number next to it for dine in because it asks you for your table number at the kiosk. Being from Buffalo, we had to try the wings. He got the Calabrian and I got the crying Hawaiian. We each got a pizza too- he got the piccante and I got the flying Hawaiian. We got our waters from the fountain drink station and then set up at a table at the end. My wings came in first, then his pizza and wings then my pizza. All beautiful looking. We didn't wait very long for the food. Spoiler alert: the wings are grilled. Threw me off quite a bit because.... That's not what we have in Buffalo. We usually have battered fried, and super crispy. These wings were not crispy like a buffalo style due to being grilled. They however had a really nice char and flavor, plus they were super tender and piping hot. Mine had a small kick, his has a lot of kick. As for the pizza, he demolished his 13" piccante, he said there was a kick and that's how he likes it. Loved my flying Hawaiian- great blend of flavors. I only was able to finish half of it, and they have boxes to take to go - no charge. I packed the rest of the pizza up and had it for breakfast this morning, demolished it. Equally as good cold out of the fridge as it is piping hot. Pretty solid pizza and wings!

Yelp
This place makes good food but for the right customer. It is good/basic quality and the vibe inside is family friendly almost like a sports bar, as it is cleaned but kept like a bar. It has a great menu but I find it is not worth the prices. It is far too expensive for what it is. Taverna even has prosciutto and pizzas that are less pricey for quality. The wings are great so it makes up for the pizza that is a little less cooked and soggy, not crispy at all. It really depends on what you want in a pizza NY, Chicago or what. You can tell this is a neighborhood place so that it has been around and serves its purpose for the community but it could be revamped inside for what the prices of the food is. The staff are good and reliable but again it's the ambiance that doesn't match the price point or food type. They make you get your own togo boxes or plates and yet it's still $20 or more a pizza. I wish it was worth the price as some things are better than others and it's not consistent in quality of food.

Yelp
We ordered from this establishment recently. We didn't care for the pizza at all and threw most of it away. The chicken wings were pretty good, but were also odd in the way they were prepared. There was just too much "stuff " in addition to the Buffalo sauce and it seemed like they had been singed over an open flame. Just too much going on! A more traditional pizza and chicken wings, we suggest that you go elsewhere

Yelp
5 Stars for fantastic signature wings, great pizza, and a prime location by a cocktail bar. Let's start with the wings. I highly recommend the V signature wings, featuring fresh lemon, rosemary, garlic, EVOO and V spice mix, topped with caramelized onions. These wings were as messy as they were unique and addictive. We got a couple of pizzas, but the fan favorite was the vegetariana pizza which features San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, marinated artichoke, fresh mushroom, spinach, grape tomato, and garlic. For the standout to be a vegetarian pizza is really great for groups that include dietary restrictions. Finally, make your pizza order at the counter and grab a seat outside on the patio. Then walk into Sidecar (a sister cocktail bar) for some beautifully crafted cocktails to accompany your slice. 5 easy stars!

Yelp
I have been to a lot of V's Pizza in Jacksonville and the San Marco location was one I hadn't been to but when someone asks to meet up of course I'm. We came in and saw the special they had and i will say the Hot Hunny Gabagool looked great but I was going out of town early the next day and didn't need left over pizza and knew I would be having a lot of it on my trip so I went for Ashley and I's classic, 10 V's Signature Wings (always top 3 in town) and a wet Italian Beef since they are on of the few I can get in town that is decent. Our food came out pretty quickly and we made sure to sit at Sidecar and wow amazing bar with great options. The wings and beef were great as always. This is another amazing V's Pizza location. Parking can but tough but that's San Marco for you. Try and get their early for dinner and you shouldn't have an issue.

Yelp
Came here because of the Yelp reviews and it was within walking distance of my hotel. Decided to get an Italian beef sandwich and a pizza pie (I was hungry, don't judge). The sandwich was excellent. I added melted provolone cheese and had them dip the sandwich. IYKYK. Tried the pie with sausage and was a little disappointed. The whole pie was definitely undercooked to my liking. Would go again for the sandwich though! But yeah, if you order a pie from here make sure you tell them how you like it cooked, otherwise it will probably come out doughy

Yelp
V's always has excellent pizza, pasta and wings. They bring a unique taste that's rich and bold to all their dishes that distinguishes them from the competition. Big part of that is from therre fresh and quality ingredients. I always know I'm getting my money's worth when I come to grab a bite to eat. This time was the Baked Cavatappi and was that a delicious pasta dish with rich sauce. Great service as usual.

Yelp
We came with a few coworkers for some pizza and cocktails from next door. I love the concept of the two businesses next to each other but kinda sharing the space. It was gorgeous outside so we saddled up at a picnic table to chow down. We got a few different pizzas but I was all about the pepperoni that day. I think I ate half of it myself. I also tried the wings and those were excellent too.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Jax. The beer selection, the whiskey selection and the food is awesome. Especially the wings and some of the best pizza in town. Always a good time when I go here.
google avatar

Rick P.

Yelp
Ok the food there is good and great selection. They have to get the guys that run the ovens more in sync. We had a pizza, wings, calzone. First to come out was the calzone. Very good. Yes. No complaints on the food. 15 minutes later. The wings came out. 25 minutes later.... the pizza. One order 3 items. 50 minutes all together. I could have lived with 50 minutes.... BUT BRING ALL THE FOOD AT THE SAME TIME! not piecemeal. Tell the kitchen to get thier act together Please

Yelp
She's never been to Italy and wonder what their pizza taste like, this is it! Most of their ingredients actually come from Italy, including 00 flower. I love the individual pizzas because we can never agree on just one kind. It was perfectly cooked and loaded with toppings. I can't wait to go back! My favorite is the spinach and artichoke build your own with fresh ricotta cheese. They also have gelato which we didn't have room for after the pizza and salad luncheon combo. check it out!
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
V's has the best pizza in town! I always go for the Flyin' Hawaiian, it never disappoints. I've also tried the Bruschetta with Burrata shareable and highly recommend it. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious.
google avatar

Leilah T.

Yelp
They brought it out the wings for us the try since it was our first time here and they are known for best wings in Jax. Definitely lived up to the hype of best wing. Juicy, slight sweet rub was off the chain. And the pizza was amazing, made in a stone fire pizza oven and fresh dough. The people next to us had kids and the head chef came and brought them pizza dough to play with while they waited. Absolutely amazing atmosphere.

Yelp
We first visited V when we were considering moving to Jax and we were hooked. The employees always seem to be in a cheery mood and move efficiently to serve you as quick as possible. We truly have not had a bad pizza from V. Their dedication to quality ingredients is prominently on display which each bite of their authentic Neapolitan pizzas. From the classic margherita to the weekly cycle of specialty pies, always impressed. Today, we went for a Flyin' Hawaiian and Carnivora, paired with a caprese salad to start. Also snagged a slice of the V signature wing pizza which models the V signature wings fairly closely. The attached cocktail bar provides ample space for those desiring to partake, but there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for families/young kiddos to enjoy their time. Lots of high chairs too. Oh, and never (NEVER) pass on a gabagool weekly special!

Yelp
I am currently sitting at one of the picnic tables outside. Becca has been so incredibly attentive and kind since she first brought out our food. She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. I had already decided to leave a good review for her, so I asked for her name. A bit later she surprised us with some sweets. She's an angel, please keep her as long as she wants to stay

Yelp
Pizza is one of my main food groups, and when I heard V Pizza was a top spot in Jax Beach - I knew I had to visit! The restaurant is divided into two separate sides, one side for quick to-go ordering, and the other side for a full dining in experience. Of course, we decided to sit down at a table for the full experience and we were actually able to seat ourselves which was convenient. I love all of the greenery and plants hanging from above, and the bar area is also really cool. Our table decided to share salads, pizza, and I also wanted to try their Stromboli so we ordered one of those as well. It was a ton of food, but everything was delicious! Their sauce and crust is fantastic, and the Stromboli was huge! The white pizza was delectable and full of different cheesy flavors, and the caprese salad was a perfect option to enjoy in between all of the carbs. Highly recommend stopping in next time you're in the area and craving some pizza!

Yelp
Stopped by V's Pizza for a quick lunch on our road trip home to another FL city. We went to Jacksonville for a weekend trip! This was a fantastic meal! We wanted to try multiple items, so we decided to get 2 dishes to share. We got the 13" Flyin' Hawaiian pizza to share, which is probably one of the best Hawaiian pizzas I've had! It was flavorful - sweet, but not overly sweet, and very savory! The dough was light and fluffy. I'd highly recommend this menu item! We also got the Layla's Vodka and Meatballs pasta to share, which was also fantastic! The meatballs were tender, juicy, and flavorful! The vodka sauce on the pasta was creamy and rich! It was pretty large, so I'm glad we got this to share vs. ordering pasta as an individual meal. It was fantastic though - would definitely order again! Finally, the sweetest host brought us over a few of their V Signature Wings as a compliment from the restaurant! They were beautifully spiced with lemon, garlic, and rosemary. The taste was sweet (but not overly sweet), smokey, and herbal. The rosemary was the shining ingredient! Highly recommend it as an appetizer/shareable. Front of the restaurant has more limited street parking, so we parked in the back lot. We went around 11:30am and had no issues finding parking. Restaurant was family friendly, generally quiet (easy to talk to anyone in your company), and they have 3 TVs with sports games playing - 1 had soccer/football, the other had baseball, and the final had American football. If you're looking for a delectable lunch spot, I'd highly recommend V's Pizza. We would definitely return if given the option, and will be recommending it to our friends in Jax.

Yelp
39th birthday celebration. V pizza has it all pizza and drinks at side car. It is 2 for 1. We have been to side car and left a review but not V pizza. It is ver festive during the holidays. We went on a Monday night and had a ball. My wife devoured the wings and I drunk myself to sleep. It was a pleasure to be at VPizza. We were loud and the food was amazing and the drinks were not bad either!

Yelp
We were in the Riverside area of Jax and we found V Pizza on yelp. This was a Saturday night and it was super busy. When we walked in they said that the wait time for food was at 45 minutes. We decided to wait and i ordered the Italian Beef sandwich and a pizza with meatball and ricotta. All pizzas are 13 inches and can feed up to two people. They are Neapolitan styled, so the pizza is a little thinner and smaller. Just a tip i would ask them for extra sauce because they do not add as much. the menu has many different combos and a build your own option. The place is nice to go on a date night or to take your family for a pizza night. on the side they have a place called the side car and its a little bar that goes along with the restaurant.

Yelp
Update to the update. Spoke with James Culinary Director . He was amazing! Really an asset to V pizza company. He was able to smooth things over and we will be trying another location in the future. Thanks so much James for handling everything.

John D.

Yelp
Best wings in town. Pizza very tasty but crust always soggy in center. Question---Walk in, order by their computer screen, self serve for fountain drinks, silver, napkins spices, clean your own table, But--on computer screen tip suggestion 18 to 25%---Who gets the tip???? Who deserves a tip????

Yelp
I feel so spoiled living So close to this location. The OG V pizza! I used to come here in my mid 20's for good pizza, wings, drinks, & best of all, good company. Fast forward to present day; it's just as good if not better than what I remember. For example - if you ask me if I like pineapples on pizza, my normal response would be Heck no, you must be crazy to put fruit on pizza. Here at V's... that sh*t hits different : ) Try it! Trust me I'm a meat n veggies kinda gal when it comes to pizza but I'm telling you, it's Soo delicious. The pineapples are roasted with nutmeg and brown sugar. You could easily eat these by themselves as a boujee appetizer or after dinner as a health conscious dessert. Now this past visit Friday night, I tried something new - the Viva Mexico pizza. This was good too. I like trying new things when I go out to eat just to keep it spicy and interesting. Usually I'm not big on chicken on pizza either but I liked this one! I still like pineapple pizza (flyin hawaiian) better or best, but I did like this Mexican spin off this pie had to it. Usually on any outing to V's and back, my best advice I could pass along to you would be to order some wings - they are damn addicting. I have tried a few different styles here but seem to gravitate towards their signature wings most times. I have zero complaints every visit. I've always had great service no matter how busy it is. Friday night they told us at the order counter it's an hour wait until food comes out and it didn't bother me one bit. Just post up next door at sidecar, order a drink or two, and you won't even notice. The food definitely came out before an hour. I'd say 30 - 45 mins tops. The new renovations/expansion next door holds so many more tables too - inside and out, they did a great job with it. Lil forewarning , Parking can be a b*tch here, but hear me out ~ honestly that will happen anywhere you visit in the downtown/San Marco neighborhood. You can't really complain all that much since there is no way around it, but normally you will find parking here in the back of the restaurant. It's a little janky but it works. Mayday is within walking distance from this V pizza as well ; ) Definitely something to keep in mind for after dinner.

Yelp
All the ingredients are from Italy, including the flour. The pizzas are cooked in a brick oven, which made the crust perfect and crispy and very light we did the lunch special and got our own build your own personal size pizzas and they were bigger than what was expected. The combo included a side salad either Italian, or Caesar and a drink of your choice. Toppings we're plentiful delicious, and fresh. They have a good team of workers working here, and the place is very clean. This is my new favorite pizza spot.
google avatar

Tracy D.

Yelp
The food was delicious, we had the harvest salad, v signature wings, Mac and cheese, stromboli and cannoli ...everything tasted so so good! The restaurant is a relaxed family style restaurant with fun music and the staff were attentive and helpful.
google avatar

Amber G.

Yelp
We love the pizza at this place! We get the Mac Attack which has Mac n'cheese on top of the pizza. We weren't sure if it would be good and boy we were surprised. I think we have gone there 5-6 times now for this pizza! The service is always good but we always order to go. There is a cool bar next door too so it would be a good place for a date night. 8/10 recommended

Evelyn Y.

Yelp
Such a wonderful experience! I had the seafood pasta and my boyfriend got the chicken parmesan. Our waitress was patient and gave us excellent service. We stopped by around 6:45pm on Thursday, it wasn't too busy but still lively. I definitely recommend this restaurant! Can't wait to return.
google avatar

Gio P.

Yelp
The pizza was amazing! I love the taste and texture of the dough. The water tastes icky, so I waited until I got back home to drink.

Yelp
While in Jacksonville for a few days, after a late afternoon lunch, we found ourselves back at the Hotel. Decided a pizza would be nice. We looked on Yelp for a joint with good reviews. V PIZZA was only a 1/4 mile away and offered delivery. I ordered a pie with sausage?, pepperoni, pimento strips, mozzarella, buffalo mozzarella l and San Marzano tomato sauce on house made crust. Half an hour later the delivery arrived. Pie was steaming hot on a nice crust with some char on the edges. It was delicious! Highly recommend their pies!

Yelp
Had a chance recently to try out Vs pizza in San Marco. I had tried their wings before at a Yelp event and they were excellent. We were greeted immediately and pleasantly. We were also asked if it were our first time which is always a nice touch. This is a location where you order, you are given a number and your food is brought to your table. The interior features many high tops that are connected cafeteria style. We chose a table. The wood fire brick ovens and kitchen staff are right out in the open, creating a casual almost familiar atmosphere. Deep dark wood, mint green accents are featured throughout along with some strictly placed themed pictures, decorative tile and brick accents. There are four large TVs in the main room and the Jaguars game was on. It was not so loud that you couldn't enjoy conversation. The soda fountain features Coke products along with iced tea. There was also a side room with seating for about 16-18 that was a bit more intimate. We ordered a meatball pizza along with a calzone. First, the dough on both was very good. Wood fire and good dough is a great combination. When compared to Pie95, I think Pie95's dough is a bit better. Here, they also leave the middle of the pizza somewhat soft. So there's a part of the crust that's crispy and the middle is not. The pizza was a miss for me. The sauce was overly sweet, there wasn't much cheese and the meatball was dry and spongy. The calzone much better but it's my opinion and preference that the mozzarella to ricotta ratio should be at least 50/50 and this was much heavier on the mozzarella. Still, very solid calzone. The marinara for dipping was also very good. This is the sauce they should used on the pizza. Decent for a first visit. Good enough that I'd be willing to try again.

Yelp
If you love neapolitan style pizza cooked in wood fired brick ovens, this place is for you. Hot, crisy, and packed with flavors. Multiple toppings and sides to choose from. They also have specials that change frequently. To top it off, they are connected to Sidecar, a bar with awesome daily happy hour deals. Cant get any better than that. Beers, cocktails and fresh hot pizza. Love this place, excellent service, and in a spacious and inviting atmosphere.
google avatar

Dwaine C.

Yelp
This is a casual pizza and wing place. They have wood fired ovens. They use the best ingredients. 00 flour, San marzano tomatoes just to start. We ordered a few cold beers. Since we were first time patrons they gave us some sample wings. The flavor was great but they needed to be crisp up more. Our Carnivora pizza was delicious. It had fresh ingredients and a crispy char on the crust. They have a sidebar with tables and a full liquor bar. Very good crafted cocktails.

Always love the pizza! V pizza never disappoints and always has something new to try! I love the new look of San Marco, much more welcoming and ambient

Yelp
V Pizza never disappoints. The pizza and wings are delicious. We also enjoy Sidecar and appreciate we can order food while we enjoy our adult beverages

Yelp
Excellent pizza place here in Jacksonville! Sunday night, party of five, 8:45 pm. Cool and interesting theme and atmosphere at this place, very clean, well kept, spacious, and organized location. The cashier was extremely welcoming, friendly, and patient with us as we were trying to decide what to order. It was our 1st time here. The pizza was actually really delicious. Excellent flavor, fresh ingredients, and full of flavor. They also have a nice selection of wine and soft drinks! Hopefully we'll be back here before going back to California!
google avatar

Carolina Isabel G.

Yelp
Creo, es una de las mejores pizzerías que he visitado en Florida! Muy muy recomendada
google avatar

Jimmy T.

Yelp
Our middle daughter and her husband asked us to go to lunch today at V Pizza. * The last time we went to V Pizza was last year and we had a terrible experience and sore we would not come back. Today our experience and pizza was fantastic!!! The cashier that took our order was super nice and friendly. It took about 15 minutes to get our pizza. We got the CARNIVORA PIZZA and it was excellent! Glad we went back again.
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
I have been to V Pizza in San Marco several times. This location shares a building with Sidecar. You can order food at V and order a drink at Sidecar. I went with friends after an event a few blocks away. I ordered wings and my friend ordered a Margarita pizza and we shared. Both are my favorite menu items. Then we went to Sidecar, ordered a drink and found a table outside. Our food arrived within 10 minutes. Faster than usual as they were not busy as it was a Monday. The wings and pizza were fabulous as always! Both were hot and cooked perfectly. I dipped the wings in some yummy blue cheese dressing. If you haven't tried V Pizza, you are missing out!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a party and even with a large group, service was excellent! I loved the pizza--highly recommend spicing up the flyin' Hawaiian with some chili peppers as recommended. Would definitely check this place out!

Yelp
V Pizza San Marco is definitely a vibe! The Carnivora pizza is by far my favorite to order, paired with a Dukes from Sidecar. Pizza was served right away and the employees were pleasantly accommodating; holding doors, offering water, and cking to see if we needed anything else. V Pizza, regardless which location is always a great time for family and friends!

Yelp
Can we give the signature wings a moment! Goodness, what a greatly made wing and the caramelized onions just the perfect hit of sweetness add to the wings is next level, I suspect they have a hint of honey on them. We ordered the Picante pizza and it lives up to its name, a good kick of spice. The doughy cooked to perfection. What great spot to come with coworkers, to bag out over wings. The menu is expansive with lots to choose from and gluten-free free dough. It can get busy and know you might have to wait but it's worth the wait.

Yelp
It was great when I wrote my last review a few years ago and remains a fantastic "go-to" place to eat, still. As it is said, consistency is the key. V's pizza in San Marco is consistent on food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality. When you walk in, the smell of yumminess smacks you in the face. You go to the counter and the staff are patient, helpful, and attentive. I always order the signature lemon chicken wings. If I'm completely honest, after having these wings; I can't order wings from anywhere else. They actually have meat on them and fall off the bone. If you close your eyes, it's as if you are eating a moist and tasty minature rotisserie chicken. Then, I order a large, made-to-order vegetarian pizza. I'm not really a fan of their caprese salads or any of their salads but I don't think when people want a good salad they think... "Hey, I'll go to a pizza place". I get a glass of their house, red wine which is perfectly fine. 50% of the time, I'll order the food then go sit outside the bar attached. What a great partnership and concept.

Yelp
I was walking around the area with my partner and a couple friends and noticed that a V's was nearby. The one we frequently visit in Mandarin is pretty close to our house. So I was excited to suggest this as a lunch option that was close by. As I walked in, the atmosphere was a little quiet and darker than I'd expected and the counter for ordering was all the way in the back so it threw me off from the start. However, we were kindly greeted at the counter and she was very patient while we all were deciding what to order. I had a salciccia pizza (which I've had at the other location a number of times) and was pleased that the quality was what I expected. Quite delicious as V's has some of the best pizzas in Jacksonville IMO. We all decided to eat outside once our orders were placed. They had several picnic style tables with umbrellas to use for shade which I appreciate immensely in the warmer weather. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed their choices. I would come back again for the wonderful food, but if I'm comparing to the other location, I'd always choose Mandarin. The vibe is a bit lacking in San Marcos. The outdoor and indoor space just don't stack up but the food and people are still excellent.

Yelp
The pizza was good, but the service was outstanding. One person recognized that it was our first time so he came to offer suggestions on the menu and answer questions. A young man brought out one of our pizzas and said they felt it was burned so they were remaking it but we were free to both. Everyone was so nice.

Yelp
I always enjoy my experience at V Pizza. The cryin' Hawaiian wings are my absolute favorite. This visit I got the pepperoni pizza with basil and it was absolutely delicious. The service is always superb. We also had the Stromboli, which was amazing. Everything is made fresh in their brick ovens, which I love! Great vibes and great food.

Yelp
I am very particular about my pizza and Italian food. Unfortunately, V Pizza did not impress. Our first visit to this San Marco location, a was a little surprised by the dining area set up. It had a warehouse feel that was not inviting. Boxes of canned tomatoes stacked between the order counter and dining. I usually enjoy an open kitchen area but it was cluttered and did not look clean which instantly made me worry. After ordering at the counter, we took our number and found a table to wait for the Bolognese pizza and smaller sized calzone we ordered. The pizza arrived first and we actually finished it and had to ask about our calzone about 20 minutes later. The wood fire crust was the best part of the pizza. The sauce was overly sweet, the meatball slices tasted like wet sponges with no flavor (almost like they were made, frozen and cooked wet on the pizza), and the lack of cheese on the pizza meant I was eating mostly sweet and saucy crust after removing the meatball slices. The perfectly sized calzone that eventually arrived was overwhelmingly filled with mozzarella cheese and little ricotta. I wished for lots more ricotta and so much less mozzarella. Again, the crust was great and surprisingly the side sauce that accompanied the calzone was better, no excessive sweetness. Overall, a disappointing experience.
