Grilled cheese is super bland. Bread is kinda hard. There’s really no flavor to this, whatsoever. The fries are really good, though, and they don’t skimp on the portion. Had a glass of white wine that’s actually pretty decent. The service was definitely the highlight of my experience. The bartender and server are really friendly and helpful. I’m gonna eat this bc even though it was only $13-$14, I have a really long flight ahead. Otherwise, I’d throw the sandwich away & keep the fries. *FYI- They DO have an option to put bacon on your sandwich, but I don’t dig on swine. If you do, maybe it’ll taste better…

Google
I don't know about these mixed reviews. I had the best burrito, it was huge and fully stuffed with fresh ingredients and juicy beef. The salsa tastes homemade and is smoky and delicious. And the smokey margarita was tasty as well. Yes it's pricey but so is every restaurant in the airport, at least you get a good portion. They were also playing some good music, I would definitely come here again.

Google
I had the Bacon Cheeseburger with the Parmesan Fries and it was FANTASTIC. I am picky about beef, and seriously this was one of the best burgers of my life. Juicy meat, incredible in-house made sauce, thick cut bacon, perfect bun. Super flavorful fries, perfect texture and above all the portion was big. Chased it with a Dr. Pepper Definitely didn’t expect this at the airport cafe of all places, I went back to the cashier to express my thanks to the chef.

I was here for a morning flight and the place was quite very different to in the afternoons when it is very busy. This is a typical airport restaurant. I had a pastrami sandwich with a Kambucha. The sandwich was fine. It was toasted fresh with quality ingredients.

Google
No prices displayed. Not for drinks, pastries nor baked goods. This is completely unacceptable. Customers deserve transparency, not hidden costs or surprises at the counter. It feels like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of people. I won’t be coming back, and I suggest others think twice before ordering anything here without asking for the price first.

Google
Mediocre salad. $13 for very small serving size. I asked for a little more because it looked like no one else had bought the salad and it's destined to go to waste -- staff said she already gave me extra 😂

Google
Disappointed…maybe it was because we ordered just before they started closing down for the night…but the owner or manager seemed happy enough with the customer in front of me…but no patience for an incorrect order (asking for breakfast burrito) from someone who has never been to the San Francisco airport and therefore clearly this restaurant. Then comes the oily fries and an over sauced well done burger…and eating at a dirty available table with leftover drinks on it…and then there is the price…to give credit where credit is due…the portions were large enough that my wife and I shared.

Google
The food here is meh. I tried to order a beer at the bar and there was a 15 minute wait. I gave up. They need to hire more people. It wasn't busy. I went to the cashier and ordered a pesto chicken sandwich $18. The sandwich has been sitting behind the glass case for a while and it was heated up in their toaster oven. The bread was dry and the chicken didn't have a pesto taste.

Yelp
Food was great services to I have the shrimp burrito So yummy nice place to eat I will. eat here again

Yelp
Workers were nonchalant. Did not care. I tried ordering a pizza No cheese - because that option was on the monitor then I was told they couldn't do it because the pizza is premade and frozen. It wasn't even special instruction/ prep but an option. The food is mediocre. However the bar does have a large selection for drinks. They charge 5% extra for employee benefits. Which is necessary but why share it? Idk

Yelp
Valencia restaurant is in the International A Terminal of the San Francisco International Airport. The restaurant is not super popular and I can pretty see why. The staff was pretty nice, but they seem to want to leave from the evening shift. It is chill and quiet. Where the restaurant lost points on was the food. I find it overpriced and kind of mixed in the cooking. The bottom of the bowl is soggy and hotter than the top area. The chicken is too dry. I wouldn't eat here again as there are definitely better places to eat at the airport.

Gus M.

Yelp
This is a great place to wait for your flight. If you don't wanna go to your lounge, I had an amazing old-fashioned, and the gentlemen serving was terrific. They have a lot of cool things to look at while you wait for your flight, and it's just a nice place.

Auggie L.

Yelp
Went for Lunch Food - 1/5. The stereotype that airport food is terrible is alive and well here. Burger was overdone with a sauce that has dressing consistency dripping all over the place. Bun was stale with the nasty freezer taste in the center. Fries had an ugly crunch caused by the random batter covering it. Pizza was terrible with bland sauce and spongy cheese. The bread was clearly not for pizza as the cheese just slid right off! This was more of misshapen circle dough with what should be pizza ingredients on top; a poor imitation of a pizza. Service - 1/5. Cashier was abrupt and then became very standoffish and rude when we showed a voucher. My guess is it was a tip expectation which is just unprofessional. Value - 1/5. They have standard airport prices which is terrible for such awful food quality. There are plenty of competitors in the area that doesn't make you settle for "well it's the airport" so this was honestly shocking. Even with a voucher, I felt robbed of my tummy space and opportunity cost for something else. Parking - N/A

Yelp
I ordered The Taqueria Burrito at the counter and grabbed my own table. The bar area gets really cramped especially with people moving around all the time and chairs pushed back. I sat at a table at the very end to the left of the bar. The seating is really spread out, so you'll have to stand by the counter to hear when they'll call your name. The food was standard - probably the most "bang for my buck" in regards to airport food that's usually overpriced. I was able to flag down an employee near the counter to get a to-go container since I wasn't able to finish my burrito. Service is standard, no major issues.

Yelp
Grossly overcooked! Ordered the crispy chicken- let's just say the bun was more crisp than the chicken- almost burnt on both sides. Fries were ALL over fried. Almost taste like old fries they threw back in the fryer. Inedible. For $27 please go somewhere else!

Yelp
This place tried to short change me & tried to keep my phone. Be careful! Things r expensive as it is & they try to rip u off even on the ingredients. My chia pudding didn't have any strawberries or banana & had only 1 blackberry instead of berries. I gave it the benefit of doubt thinking I will get a piece of banana, strawberries, or at least another blackberry towards the bottom but NOPE, NADA. So disappointing

Karen A.

Yelp
I was early for my flight this morning and had breakfast at Valencia street. This is a walk up and order restaurant, and food is delivered to your table. I had a complete breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast. Hubs had the crispy chicken sandwich. All the potatoes were the coated type, which is not my favorite, but they weren't too bad. Eggs were possibly from a mix, but there were a lot of them. We could have split one meal. They were large! Food was delivered quickly and condiments were brought to us when requested. Quiet place to sit for a while.

Kyle F.

Yelp
Jose the manager I believe had horrible customer service. He was giving attitude to me as a customer and kept insisting he knew.

Vuyelwa W.

Yelp
Airport Food! Must say SFO IS Really doing their best to bring some interesting options. Valencia St is an American comfort food restaurant and bar and location is great because it's at the end of the terminal building so there are lots of windows lights and people watching too! In the international terminal! Ambiance is great it's open air ! Second time here first time was sister on our way to London and South Africa ! This time was with hubby on our way to Dubai and South Africa! Service was was mid ! Drinks were good and food was alright !! Might stop by for drinks but food next time!

Trong H.

Yelp
Service is fast, ambiance is nice, but the food is so bad. It's overcooked and dry. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was thin, heavy battered, and nearly impossible to chew. The fries were so oil and hard, your basically just eating fryer oil. I also ordered a bacon cheeseburger, it was decent but still subpar, McDonald's taste better.

Neleh H.

Yelp
Ritual coffee- our cappuccino & oat milk latte were on point. Sandwich was ok good nothing special. Pastries didn't look really appetizing- service was very efficient. We really like the ample natural light & seating

Tim S.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst breakfast and the price was of course also obnoxious. In comparison, a McDonald's breakfast would warrant 5 stars. Shame on us for not checking the ratings from other people before wasting our time and money. Plus ambiance is lacking with no table service and uncomfortable chairs.

Brooklynn S.

Yelp
Mike's service and energy is fantastic!! Loved bantering at the bar w him before I had to sprint through the airport to get to my flight. Great cocktails & atmosphere!

Susan D.

Yelp
At the end of the international terminal, tucked into the right corner and surrounded by tons of windows, you'll find Valencia St Cafe. It's got great seating because of the window ambiance and most everything we tried at 5:30 am was good. The Chinese chicken salad was good, the sugar cookie was a great texture and mild good flavor, and our two ham and cheese croissants were toasted well and delicious. The total for those items was $36-something... probably average for airport fare. But the best part was the dude that was working there this morning. He was all alone, but managing to take our order, check us out, prepare our food, and do absolutely everything all by himself. The line was really long, but he was nailing it. July 5, 2023 at 5:30 am. We'll stop by next time we fly out! Might see ya there!

Stacy A.

Yelp
We stopped here last week to board a flight for our summer vacation. We got the Italian sandwich, chips and a Santa Cruz lemonade. We waited to eat them on the flight as we were boarding fairly quickly. At first bite I was really surprised! I don't expect much from airport food, but this sandwich was delicious! It was heated for the bread to be crispy and everything tasted great. I liked my chips and drink too. Very expensive of course but not much I can do as we needed something to eat for dinner! It was very filling as well. I'd come back here again next time I fly out of SFO.

V N.

Yelp
Ambiance is the only thing that's decent. I don't usually ever leave a review.. in fact this is my first one. But, customer service is absolutely awful. The cashier openly insults people in Spanish assuming they don't speak it. When she wasn't insulting customers, she had an attitude and was extremely rude.

Tiaja S.

Yelp
The food is ok, the customer service is horrible. Also speak poorly to people right in front of them assuming they don't understand Spanish.

Jason Z.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever. A big dude was at the cashier, turned extremely rude when I showed up with the voucher and got irritated said "why can't you say it all at once", when I asked for two more muffins after getting a couple croissants.

Amanda C.

Yelp
I was extremely stressed coming into the airport. Lizabeth, the manager, was bartending, and is one of the nicest and most respectful hospitality workers I have encountered in a long time. I was 2 hours early to my flight and hung out at the bar. She not only interacted positively with me, but also with other clients coming and going. She gave good recommendations and made sure everyone was happy. I would highly recommend this restaurant while waiting for international flights.

Amabel D.

Yelp
I had the impossible burger with fries here and it was actually quite delicious. Staff was friendly as well! For a random place in the airport I thought it was quite good!

Sam R.

Yelp
Stay away. Took 30 minutes for my order for a grill cheese sandwich and fries. Order arrived without fries. Asked for my fries and was told sandwich didn't come with fries. I pointed to the wall menu and showed him where it did say it. He still said nope, menu wrong and walked away. Tried complaining at cash registered, and she just walk away. Unbelievable! Should have checked their website. My experience was a common theme. No wonder the one star ratings dominate the reviews.

Shayla B.

Yelp
I meeeean... what else can you do really do?! It's airport food and one of the only options available if you're flying out of International Terminal A. You already know it's gonna be expensive and probably not that tasty. Actually, the pizza that I had wasn't all that bad. But there are some major 'tudes happenin' up in here. The staff members have some serious attitude. Apparently, I'm not the only one who noticed because it appears to be a theme with many of the reviews. This restaurant has an actual bar and lounge section where you can chill and have a drink, and they also have an order and pick-up line for to-go orders. I ordered a cheese pizza to-go. Don't expect to get full off the pizza here. It was hella tiny and didn't even fill out the small box that it was served in. This was a pizza that I'd probably serve to my little nephew. Kiddie sized. It wasn't cheap either. I will say that the quality was decent. Certainly not the best pizza that I've had, but I really enjoyed the flavors and style. The lady who took my order was pleasant, but the dude who delivered my pizza was rude AF. I had my bag on the side of table that I was waiting at and he came from the opposite side. Instead of just walking around like anyone else would do, this fool proceeds to stand behind my bag and waited for me to move it. He literally just kept staring at me and my bag with the pizza in his hand and didn't say anything. Like, really dude? It's not that serious. He dropped the pizza on my table. When I said thank you, he just walked away and didn't even say anything. I can't imagine working at an airport, but please don't take your anger out on the customers. We're the reason why you have a job in the first place. It's all about demand. But anyways... this place is aiight. Would have probably rated it 2 stars due to homeboy's attitude, but the pizza was decent for airport food. So, 3 stars it is.

Danielle R.

Yelp
Typical airport food, I got the shrimp tacos and they were bland but I wasn't in the mood for anything crazy so they were decent enough. Lots of garlic, so luckily I had a mask on for my flight to Canada since they require it a I didn't kill anyone with my garlic breath on my flight. Ya

Ed U.

Yelp
There's quite an attitude problem here, and I'm frankly not sure they recognize it. Or worse, they recognize it and feel entitled to it. The three guys theoretically serving at the counter appeared to prefer talking to each other rather than with the customers. Granted most of the customers are impatient passengers-to-be rolling their luggage with abandon, but that's no excuse for the utter indifference I faced prior to my JetBlue flight to NYC. What a way to start a trip. I just ordered a $3.60 cup of Drip Coffee and the $9 Greek Yogurt with berries, honey granola, and toasted nuts (photo: http://bit.ly/2E1ZRWT). I grabbed a table and waited quite a while for the yogurt, but the coffee never came. When I pointed this out to the aspiring barista, he merely shrugged his shoulders and told me to wait until he was free. The service just left such a bad taste in my mouth that I barely remembered the yogurt. I'm not sure what this business has to do with Valencia Street, but this isn't the Valencia Street I know. FOOD - 3 stars...my memory of it diminished due to the service AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...definitely enough space at the end of the International Terminal SERVICE - 0 stars...indifference taken to a new level TOTAL - 1 star...Gott's is looking better all the time RELATED - Airport dining can be a dicey proposition. Here's a collection of places I've tried and reviewed: http://bit.ly/2MmDzq0

Sarkis K.

Yelp
Drinks good. Tacos bad. Paid $17 for 2 street style tacos and they were super lackluster. Go to gotta across the way.

Raymond H.

Yelp
Had the pepperoni pizza, with a rusty nail. For airport food the pizza was excellent with a little spice in the pizza. Alecia took great care of me for both my food and drinks. This is on my list next time I fly out of SFO

Paul P.

Yelp
Wow, Fish of the day was salmon and I must say totally impressed by this "airport" food which normally gets a bad rap but today, this was the best meal on property here. Granted most of the flights out of this A terminal are international and probably won't get regular attention or focus by stateside "yelpers" but this was a fantastic dish. The standard meal on my flight will cost me 23 clams and this was only 18, pretty fare considering. Also seats along the window perfect for plane watching or the views, all depends on your time and interest. My seat also had charging access and usb hookup. In an airport that is "high cotton" The broth with this concoction was delicious, I am so happy that I chose this offering. Will definitely be back!

Adam B.

Yelp
For a 6:40am flight, not many options to grab a lunch to eat later on. They fit the bill with an assortment of attractive pre-made sandwiches. Pretty solid for airport food. Italian Sandwich: It was ok. I liked all the various Italian cold cuts. The bread managed to remain firm and chewy even though I saved it until halfway through a cross-country flight. Could have used a more flavorful spread, but then again that might get messy on a flight. It was a solid grab-n-go option.

Marlene T.

Yelp
DONT GO HERE! Very disappointed. I got a tuna sandwich, the bread was super soggy after it was "toasted". The lettuce was far from fresh. My sons croissant breakfast was over toasted, almost burnt. The cold brew had a disgusting bitter iron taste to it. I asked for a replacement for regular brewed coffee instead. The guy at the register was telling me that's how cold brews taste. Ummm, no, they don't! He gave me regular brewed coffee and it was the same nasty taste. They might need to replace the machinery they have. And move those sandwiches to a fresh refrigerator because whatever it is they are doing is not working! And it is extremely over priced! Stay away

Stefanie C.

Yelp
This seems like a relatively new addition to SFO, and it's super cute! I love the fancy Pinterest-looking bar against the glass wall of the terminal. They have lots of high end whiskeys, craft cocktails, and a decent selection of draft beers, though they're exorbitantly priced, as you would expect from an airport. The food, on the other hand, is a little more difficult to miss. It's a drab-looking sandwich corner that I thought twice about visiting. The staff isn't all that friendly, but I really needed to eat before my flight, so I sucked it up and bought a $15 V St. burger with fries. It was a basic burger that came in a tiny to-go container, but it was filling nonetheless and went well with the draft beer I ordered from the bar. Valencia St. Station is nothing special, but especially if your gate is one of the ones nearby, give it a try! There are a few other spots nearby, but the cute bar caught my eye and dragged me in. Perhaps I'll try one of the other food options next time, but they didn't sound all that appealing compared to other vendors in the same terminal area. We'll see!

Clarice C.

Yelp
Decent burger and the fries were fresh and crispy! Friendly staff and food came quick!

Christopher C.

Yelp
Product: Food tasted either a bit bland or cheap, but otherwise not terrible. We had the clam chowder bowl and the carbonara pasta. The bread bowl was good. Also airport prices. Service: Not bad. Area: At the corner of terminal 1 of SFO. Actually a good amount of seating and space.

James R.

Yelp
Skip this place! No, seriously. Hear me out. I know, I know. You're at the airport. It's the only full bar in the international terminal. It should be fine, right? Wrong! I did not heed the 2 star/70 review status. That's on me. They were out of half of the things on the menu. The pizza was on par with a Pizza Hut pizza but at a premium price. The cost of 2 Chardonnay, 1 draft beer, and a pizza was $57, sans tip. The staff was rude. I was treated like asking for a drink and food was asking for their first born. Then when I asked for waters, the female bartender slammed down the thimbles she pored the water in as a form of protest. Come here if you are a sadist. Otherwise, skip this joint.

Swadie I.

Yelp
The customer service here is horrible. The guy Jose P. is very rude & unprofessional. It's very dirty & dim. I ordered food for me & my daughter because she wanted wings & I asked for them to go during purchase he brought them out as dine in on plates & seemed upset because I told him I asked for to go. & then during him packaging the meals I asked if I could get extra ranch he said I have to pay & I said ok how much they had no answer & they just kept looking for the price of the ranch for like 3-5mins I said it's ok never mind the guy was like ok bye. Very rude & dismissive. I normally would rate 1 star but the lady seemed nice she maybe should be the manager the guy seemed like he manages the place but he makes the environment so awkward & uncomfortable. But overall the food was good but nothing special just simple wings. I definitely wouldn't go back based on the experience.

Ian M.

Yelp
I hate to write bad reviews, I know how hard people work at a restaurant, but the carbonara I tried today was probably the worst I have ever try in my life. The quesadilla was fine. I hope they change the recipe of the Carbonara.

Traci M.

Yelp
Meh... I've eaten here several times since my first experience and have been disappointed for the most part. The prices are high and food underwhelming. Today the side of potatoes was only 3-4 pieces and I was the first hot food order of the day so there should have been an abundance of potatoes. The Americano tasted like instant coffee from when I was young (Sanka), so is not worth the amount you pay for it (in my opinion). The service is average. The employees aren't rude though aren't particularly friendly either. I'll come here again as options are so limited in this terminal, though don't feel it is more than a 3-star airport dining experience.

Erik H.

Yelp
I really had a terrible experience with the girl who was about to open the business on July 22 at 7am, I kindly asked her the opening time of the restaurant and she ignored me the first time, then I asked her again why she wanted to have breakfast in that place, the menu looked good and my wife and I were hungry, the girl answered us with a very bad attitude and told us that maybe she would open until 7 am and if not, probably later, if she did not finish her preparation she would not open until it was ready. I understand that a business has schedules that is why we need to know the opening time but with that attitude I would never return even for a drink of water!

Dave S.

Yelp
Your not starving! Move on folks, nothing to see here. 10 bucks for a 12oz. beer. 12 bucks for a grilled cheese the size of a deck of cards. Your best deal grab a cold sandwich out of the cold case and drink out of the water fountain...really. Last words...I'm a loser.

Steve T.

Yelp
Nice place to unwind before flying. Decent carbonara pasta but the added chicken was boring. Still appreciate this place as it's nice to kill time waiting for flights.

Tim L.

Yelp
Before eating here, I already lowered my expectations significantly since it was still airport food. It's disappointing that they still blew it and completely missed the mark. The food here is abysmally bad and overpriced. I thought I was getting a legitimate meal for the price I was paying, but what I ended up getting was something that seemed like packaged and reheated food. The food was bland, and some portions of it (like the potatoes) were ice-cold. In addition to this, the staff was really rude. When we ordered, the guy looked like he wasn't even listening, and we had to repeat our orders a couple times. When we asked for cups of water in the middle of his daze, he seemed to wake up for a second and directed us to the pricey bottled water. After we declined that and asked for cups of water again, he reluctantly brought out water cups to serve to us. While we were ordering, there were also instances when he would rudely interrupt us to talk with his co-workers. I did not feel comfortable eating here because of the hostility the staff showed towards us, and I do not think the food here is remotely worth it due to the temperature at which it's served and the way the food is prepared. Avoid this place if you're passing through the airport, and opt for the burger joint that's across the hall instead.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Taste: 3 Value: 4 for airport prices Service: eh This place is a very average spot inside the bustling airport that is SFO. I basically chose this spot because I had never seen an outside of the airport counterpart of this spot, so ultimately wanted to try it for its uniqueness. It was also a much more moderately priced option compared to the knock of airport versions of SF staples. We got the clam chowder in the bread bowl. Bread bowl gets a 4.5. Very fresh and crunchy bread which is my favorite. Soup gets a 3. My partner described it as just a hair above canned soup. I don't have anything against canned soup, but certainly expect better from a fancy establishment charging $10 for this. We also got the carbonara pasta. I'm not sure what it is but something felt lackluster about the whole thing. Again nothing wrong with it per say, but it didn't stand out against the delicious pasta that I'm used it. At least this was filling and will tie us over for our 8 hour flight!

Anish P.

Yelp
I got the breakfast brioce, breakfast croissant & a latte. Total bill of 28$ :O Sandwiches though heated were cold on the inside. I asked them to reheat and they turned up burnt. The sitting area was unclean and had food scraps from last night ( I was here at 7am). Now I wonder if the sandwiches are even fresh. Avoid this place if you can.

Dave K.

Yelp
Horrific. Disorganized, crowded, staff moves in slow motion, understaffed at the bar, bartender makes no effort to actually serve people in order, food orders at the bar hobble the bartenders and if that's not enough it's overpriced beyond belief. Try very hard never to want to eat in Terminal A side of International Terminal at SFO

Michael C.

Yelp
While waiting for my flight, I stopped by Valencia Street Station, a hidden bar at the end of International Terminal A. The bar has a sleek, modern vibe with the bar overlooking the tar mat. The bar has a wide variety of beer, wine, and cocktails. The drinks are relatively inexpensive for San Francisco prices. The bar also offers a range of food items including breakfast food, salads, and tropical American cuisine. Service was quick and the appropriate level of attentiveness. I'll be back on my next trip from SFO.

Scott F.

Yelp
The girl behind the bar has a shit attitude!! She is completely unapproachable & treats me, the customer like I am inconveniencing her. The food was over priced as all airports are. As far as my breakfast goes, the spinach omelette was acceptable, I asked for a side of bacon, not sprinkled in my omelette, the potatoes were barley room temp. & complete mush, the toast was not toasted, just room temp. bread. It is very apparent that this establishment treats customer service as if it is dead. They don't give a shit about doing their job to best of their abilities. If they would perform half of that, this place could be decent. I was very unimpressed with this restaurant and will not be returning.......obviously

Robert J.

Yelp
The man taking orders walked away right after I ordered to help clean up a floor spill. He grabbed three already visibly dirty wet rags and then wipes up the spill using his bare hands. He then dumps the rags In the back and for whatever reason walks over to grab 2 cups, scoops the ice with the cup directly from the ice container to fill them for my order WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS. When I told him what he just did, he said that the other woman would make the drinks. I said "but you already grabbed the cups and scooped the ice". I then Informed the woman that I no longer wanted the ice mocha and since I already paid just grabbed a sealed smart water in its place. Before I left I also told the man the that what he did was gross and he should not do that again. Bummer!!!!
