The 20 Best Sandwich Shops In Seattle

"Sometimes, sandwich shops are cursed with a quantity-over-quality fate. Valhalla in Greenwood specializes in both. These gargantuan creations on sturdy telera rolls are excessive in a good way, with combinations like blackened shrimp with chorizo and chipotle mayo, chicken with sweet-hot mustard and apple slaw, or Thanksgiving-inspired turkey with stuffing, cranberry sauce, and an earthy rosemary aioli (our favorite). Whatever you do, don't forget to add on some tater tots to dunk into sides of chipotle mayo." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

Where to Get Nostalgic, Childhood Desserts and Snacks To-Go in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Spun out from rood truck favorite Now Make Me a Sandwich, the Greenwood restaurant has a decadent menu of popular meaty items. But one of the more underrated options is the peanut butter and blackberry jam sandwich, served on grilled sourdough. Available for takeout or delivery via Grubhub and Uber Eats." - Gabe Guarente

Holy cow!! I am very impressed! I got the Bad Lieutenant Sandwich and the El Duderino Sandwich and I can’t decide which one was more incredible. I loved the chorizo/spicy kick to El Duderino, but the pulled pork is STACKED on Bad Lieutenant and the bbq sauce is not overly sweet so all the other flavors shine. I feel like they are reasonably priced too for Seattle. Can’t wait to try other sandos next time.

I stepped into Valhalla Sandwiches late in the afternoon on a Wednesday. Excellent music, as always. Relative to my other visits, today was sleepy; 2-3 tables occupied outside and one inside. I ordered the Ragnar Club no bacon and the tots. The sandwich was good, and the mustard was sweet and spicy (reminds me of the sweet horseradish mustard served at Die Bierstube). My friends and I have all commented that was want to find the less sweet version of that exact mustard, it has such an amazing kick. The sandwich itself was very good, delicious roll, decent slaw, and tender chicken. I've seen a lot of people post about the tots at Valhalla Sandwiches and I feel like I'm being trolled. They're just regular ol tots, please someone tell me if I'm missing something. Overall, good visit. Well be back. Wish they had more veg options.

Google
Valhalla Sandwiches is a "chain" of sandwich shops with a few locations scattered around the Seattle area. They make very obscure and interesting sandwich combinations that work very well. This location is in Greenwood right up from the main corner at 85th. Parking around here is relatively easy, and they have a bunch of tables outside and inside as well. Their menu isn't massive, but they have a lot of different tastes to try. Their portion sizes are a bit small for the price, but once again, the taste is there. For instance, I wish there was more turkey and less stuffing on the Thanksgiving sandwich, or more jam on the PB&J because it's a bit dry, or the sweet potato tots being undercooked and way too soft. The staff is great here, very friendly and talkative. Overall a solid place and family friendly.

Google
I work nearby and am slowly trying everything off the menu. Thus far, no duds! Staff is friendly, even when things are beyond busy. Online ordering and pickup is very easy. Only downside is that the place is too small once the lunch rush hits - it's very popular, so you may have to stand while waiting for your food (to-go) or waiting for a table to be available. Outdoor seating is great in the summertime, and dog friendly. Indoor seating is small, but great atmosphere.

Google
Overall, the quality of ingredients (bread, meat, toppings) were excellent. Most places skimp on using high quality bread which I think is essential for a good sandwich. They have small indoor dining (9 tables, 18 people). They have a much larger outdoor dining area too. They had high chairs for toddlers but not a kid menu.

Google
I got sandwiches for a work event and my work devoured the sandwiches! From the start of ordering online from picking them up to eating them the process was very smooth. You get a variety of sandwiches within their catering box and you can pick and choose. I let them pick the flavors and it was the right amount of each sandwich. The turkey was my favorite and others said the ham and cheese was the best. They also have outside seating with lots of tables and the inside is super cute. I highly recommend them for a quick catering service!

Google
Fastest sandwhich making I’ve ever encountered. Hammer of the gods is a good sandwich the horseradish gives you a kick in the teeth. The thanksgiving sandwich needs adjusting. Bread is too soft for all the wet ingredients. The stuffing is a square inch thick if stuffing, the ratios are wayyy off. The stuffing should be a smear the cranberry a smear, the gravy is fine. If you don’t end up revamping this sandwich then you need wayyyy more turkey still less stuffing. It just makes the sandwich fall apart in the second bite. Great concept for a sandwich just wasn’t the right ratio. Flavors are good.

Google
Husband surprised me with the ruben sandwich. One of the best rubens ever. I’m going to have to pay a visit in person next time I want another one.

Yelp
I love supporting Valhalla, however I would love to see an expansion of options in the future. Hear me out. The sandwiches here are great. From the flavors, to the sides, to the aiolis. I can't explain everything, but it's good. My favorite is their version of the cubana. The staff are fast and laid back and it really suits this place. I also love how casual Valhalla is. I don't like the parking situation but for anyplace to even have parking is amazing. I do love sitting on the patio in the summer though! Now here is where I get to my point. The Telera roll. This is what 90% of the sandwiches come on, and it's good, but it doesn't fit all the sandwiches. I feel like this roll goes well on some but not all sandwiches and actually takes away from the sandwich itself. For those who haven't been here it is very dense and doughy. Similar to a hoagie. It is commonly used as a torta bread but the shape is smaller. Many of us who know Spanish or Mexican cuisine will be familiar with this kind of bread. Often the value for quantity makes it feel like it's not worth doing out of my way because of the smaller portions. However, this does not anyway keep me from coming. I'm just saying I want more because this stuff is super good and I can't stop eating it. Now like I said my favorite is the Fidel Cashflow and it's amazing so I still will go out of my way. I will still eat it on a Telera roll and I will still want more! Especially that rosemary aioli. Bottle it up and sell it already! Love what you do! Happy Eating!

Yelp
Yummy and healthy sandwiches. Love their El Duderino sandwich - it's crunchy, cheesy and flavorful. What's not to like! They have a cozy dine-in area as well as an outdoor dining space. The cashier is always friendly and patient - especially given the many sandwich options!

Yelp
I like sandwiches, and I am always on the hunt for new places. I came across Valhalla, and it was ok. It was a good experience overall, and it has the potential to have 5-star sandwiches, but in my opinion, something is off, and I can not pinpoint what it is. The quality of the ingredients is good, and the combination of flavors seems appealing on the menu, but once executed, it is not as great as you would have thought. Maybe there is too much sauce/aioli/mayo on it, and the bread is different (it is not a baguette, ciabatta, or brioche, but it feels grainy and dry). Service is fast and effective, and the place is cozy even with a nice cover patio swatting Give it a try; you might find a good sandwich that might hit the spot.

Yelp
Went once so far. Amazing service. Ambiance is alright, but it's awesome they have a parking lot. I just picked up a ham breakfast sammy. It was orgasmic, really. I feel like I've wasted sm money trying to find affordable breakfast sammys. This is where it's at.

Yelp
Check out Valhalla for a good sandwich! I had the El Duderino and it did not disappoint. The Mac salad and tots were also tasty sides. With good portions and solid prices this place has good value too. The person at the counter as well as the person who delivered our food were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed their outdoor patio, without the patio the indoor arrangements were a little dim. But you go here for the sandwiches and not the ambience. All in all, Valhalla is a tasty spot and is worth the drive into Greenwood.

Yelp
Great flavors, just needed to go in the oven for a few minutes to get the bread crisp when delivered. The one we got without bread (tuna) ultimately soaked through the box shortly after it arrived, so a bunch of it fell through the hole and ended up on the floor, unfortunately. What we did get to try was tasty, though. I think the fave was the grilled cheese - we got it with bacon, chipotle aioli, tomatoes, and hot peppers. YUM!

Yelp
Great sandwiches a friendly staff, and outstanding beer on tap . The restaurant is family friendly. You can sit outside at tables with umbrellas or inside. You order at the counter and then your sandwiches are brought to your table. The ambience outside was perfect this afternoon with a nice day in Seattle blue skies and cool weather . Highly recommended!

Yelp
Yum sandwiches. El duderino - a bit more chorizo than we'd liked. Super chicken deluxe - DELICIOUS!!! Sweet potato tots - not shabby. Could have bigger portions for the price, but still an enjoyable spot :)

Kyree A.

Yelp
"Bowl on tots" is more confusing than you think, most places do a sandwich solo or as a combo in a "basket" when most people click "bowl on tots" it's like your saying would you like your sandwich in a meal with tater tots and not would you like loaded tater tots with the contents of that sandwich. I am leaving the one star because of that reason you see why from the consumer perspective that would suck. Also person at the front counter was really rude and had zero customer service skills. Ambience is really nice tho and the food itself is quality but you can get a good sandwich anywhere in this city so that doesn't really change anything.
google avatar

Tracy G.

Yelp
Awesome sandwich shop! The inside is a little on the small side, but there's tons of outdoor seating when the weather allows. They also over to-go, so you can grab a sandwich and run! But I did enjoy dining in. The playlist was excellent and even though it was busy with a constant turnover of tables, it was never unbearably loud. I ordered a El Duderino, tots and a rosemary aolí. It was delicious!
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
One of the best sandwiches I've tried around the Seattle area, the meat was so flavorful along with the sauces. Food was quick and there is a nice outdoor seating area. Good amount of food, I'd come back.

Yelp
Reliably great sandwiches in a casual setting. Order at the counter, food is prepared quickly. I tend to order the sandwiches featuring their delicious pulled pork, but everything my family has tried has been great.

Yelp
I tried the El Duderino and the Ruben sandwich today. Both were great but I prefer the Carne Asada, and the El Duderino second (I wish there was a little more flavor in the chicken breast, though). Ruben is third just because I don't love Ruben sandwiches
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Great Beard of Zeus himself would be stunned at how juicy and delicious these sandwiches are! It's curious that these are not actual Viking given the kings random level of meats they throw on a sandwich. They even put smoked pulled pork on a Ruben sandwich... my miniature schnauzer had a bite and now he is a giant schnauzer. How am I supposed to feed a giant dog now? If I come back and give my dog more of your food he will morph into an Irish wolf hound or something. The service and ambiance are lovely build for active people and kids seem to busy stuffing their face rather than running around. Maybe that is the approach is to come here, put the child into a high protein food coma and they sleep for an hour or so of silence for the adults.

Yelp
Ambience - It seems that the place is more popular for pick up/take out orders than dining in. Had couple or tables, But the orders kept on coming for takeouts Food - Ordered Steak Bestie and Chicken Deluxe Sandwich. Between these two I would prefer Chicken Deluxe, the chicken was tender and went well with the grilled onions and bell peppers. The steak was a bit dry or chew to my taste and the pickled onion was overpowering, however the sauce and jalapenos complimented well Despite the rush hour, the service was great I will def go in again
google avatar

Jasmine B.

Yelp
Genuinely the best sandwich I've ever had and they make their food really quick. Staff are awesome and chill ambiance. Worth the trip out here for sure. Get the carne asada sandwich!
google avatar

Yelp
Efficient service, clean establishment, and tasty options. It's nice to find a casual sandwich shop with draft beers. The tater tots are the best around! If I'm doing to-go, the tots barely make it to the car.

Yelp
How I heard of this place: I want to say Valhalla was first introduced to us as a foodtruck, but now I'm not certain. Either way, we discovered the brick and mortar spot on one of our many walks to/from the Greenwood branch of the Seattle Public Library. It's perfectly, conveniently located and a great stop for lunch or a take-away meal to share at home for dinner. Type of cuisine: Sandwiches, tots and salads worth going out for. Ambiance: The outdoor patio truly is a welcome space for diners and the fact that it's covered offers the option to dine outside at any time of year (some seasons with more layers required). It is also about as large as the indoor dining area, which is dimly lit and spacious. Tables and chairs/bench towards the back/left as you enter, near the counter where orders are placed and picked up. It's minimalistic and offers no frills, but it's easy as a quick stop for a lunch break. What I ordered: Among our various visits, the Loaded Tots with Avocado has made it's way to our table, as well as the Super Chicken Deluxe - sliced chicken breast, grilled onion, roasted red peppers, gorgonzola, bacon, arugula, and rosemary aioli on a telera roll. We have enjoyed the spicy Ham'er of the Gods - ham, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, and sweet hot mustard on a telera roll; Grilled Cheese - cheddar and Provolone cheese on grilled sourdough, and even once indulged in their Peanut Butter Oreo Fudge Brownie! What I loved: Every sandwich and tot has been wonderfully bursting with flavor, perfectly grilled and served warm. We have never been disappointed in our orders and the selection is vast. Why I loved it: It's a tasty and quick meal, filling, satisfying and service has been friendly and efficient throughout the years. Cost: Average

Yelp
A flavorbomb between soft, pillowy bread. The sandwiches I've tried here were the Shrimp Po Mo'fo and the El Duderino. Both sandwiches were really good because they use the telera roll bread, which sets them apart from other sandwiches. The bread is perfectly toasted for a nice crispy texture, and it is still so soft and fluffy. The meats, greens, and sauce used are all excellent as well! Of the 2 sandwiches I tried, I liked the Shrimp Po Mo'fo better because the blackened shrimps were just so flavorful.

Yelp
So , the sandwiches look so good ! That's why I got the chicken sandwich and tots! . My only thing is how MESSY and how much it falls apart if you don't have a good grip on that thing lol . maybe go lighter on the sauce for sure . Also if they wrapped it in like parchment paper so it stays together while eating it and you can unwrap it as you go instead of just throwing it in a box . Don't get this if you don't have a sink or plenty if napkins near you to wash your hands after because you are going to have a mess I promise lol . But that's the only downfall . The sandwich and tots were great :)

Yelp
I was frankly disappointed in this place given all the great reviews! My partner and I ordered takeout; he got the carne asada sandwich and I got the Buddha call (vegetarian). We ordered a side of Mac salad and Cole slaw. Everything was so..... heavy. Unnecessarily. My sandwich was full of oil and mayonnaise and the flavors all blended into this heavy, greasy and flat taste. I love sweet potatoes but they were not seasoned great and coated in oil. I didn't finish my sandwich. My husband's sandwich had a little more zing but it was also super heavy with the guac and creamy mayo. I felt the same about the Mac salad, too rich without much flavor. The Cole slaw was fine - but I didn't taste and of the jalapeño that was supposedly in it. Just tasted like plain coleslaw. I doubt we'll be back.

Yelp
I've been eyeing this shop for a VERY long time (well, since summer of 2022 LOL) but never really had the chance to check it out until recently when a friend drove up from Olympia. It's located across of Alice Ball Park on the corner of Greenwood Ave N and N 82nd St in Greenwood. There's only residential street parking around the area which could be difficult to find on the weekends. I got their El Duderino sandwich. At first, I thought it wasn't enough food as it only came as a sandwich without any sides. But boooy, it was filling! The sandwich was delicious! It had sliced chicken breast (kind of meh as the flavor and sauce didn't really stick with it) and chorizo (suuuper flavorful even without the chipotle mayo with it!). The chipotle mayo was a great compliment to the sandwich. It didn't have any heat but sooo yummy! The sandwich was super messy as everything basically fell out of it LOL. My boyfriend got their Valhalla Pork sandwich which had a TON of flavor. It was sooo juicy and tender that I was in shock by how such a "simple" sandwich had so much going on. I actually liked this more than mine (always the case when I share food with the boyfriend HAHA). A really great place to grab lunch! They also serve alcohol which definitely compliments with the sandwiches (and chips if you order them). The prices weren't bad either for the amount of food we got too! Will be back to try more of the delicious sandwiches!
google avatar

Ashwin B.

Yelp
Fantastic, flavorful vegetarian sandwiches: we had the buddha and the veg-arino. Both the sandwiches had tones of flavor, were juicy with some crispness to the bread. The focacia used is of the best quality. I would definitely come back soon. We also had the slaw, which was refreshing and the chili, which was good as well. Also, a pleasant place to have lunch or an early dinner with a toddler, plenty of outdoor seating
google avatar

Monica V.

Yelp
The Breakfast sandwich was delicious but served on regular sourdough not the cibatta shown in their pictures. And the Breakfast potatoes were just tater tots.
google avatar

Ali A.

Yelp
Bar far the best sandwich place in Seattle , this place is a must and love the reubinator sandwich .

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Always excellent food and service, worth the trip! We bring new employees here for an onboarding lunch and it's my dad's favorite when he comes to visit. El Duderino and Thanksgetting are my faves but my colleague swears by the Ruebenator.
google avatar

Tyler C.

Yelp
Great flavors. Service was mid. Worth a try. I would try a different sandwich next time. Restaurant was clean and cute.

Yelp
We recently went to the restaurant to make a to-go order. Super clean inside with some outdoor seating as well. Staff were friendly. We went a bit after the lunch rush so we didn't have to wait to place an order and pick up was fast--less than 5 minutes for two sandwiches and a side. I've ordered delivery from Valhalla several times in the past, as well as been to their food truck in SLU a number of times, so this review will cover the food quality from across several years in addition to this July 2023 experience. Food quality has been super consistent over the years, regardless of food truck / delivery / restaurant. I've had the El Duderino, Ragnar's Club, Valhalla Pork, and Yard Bird. With the exception of the Yard Bird, all were great and unique and worth getting again. We tried the Yard Bird once this last week and it was too heavy on the mayo (combination of mayo and avocado made the sandwich too 'creamy'). Given how good most of the sandwiches we've tried are and how good the ingredients are generally, though, I'd like to try some of the others on the menu (Buddha Call especially). For sides, I've had their mashed potato's (seem to no longer be offered, at least not at the restaurant itself--maybe it was a food truck item only?) and the tater tots. The tots were standard and nothing special. Might try some of their other sides in the future. Overall, highly recommend Valhalla for a great sandwich, but if its your first time I'd stick to the El Duderino or Ragnar's Club since they never fail on those, year after year.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I got the Chicken Deluxe. Sandwich was a little on the smaller side (I thought I would save half, but NOPE!), but man it was delicious. I also had a side of the apple/jalapeno slaw, and that was great too.
google avatar

Jenn J.

Yelp
Taters were good. The most memorable of the meal. Sandwiches were fine, though I wished I had the authentic versions they were inspired by. Our first choice restaurant was not open and so we walked down the block to come here after seeing the many Yelp reviews. Attempted outdoor seating but the wait was long.

Yelp
Let's raise a hammer to the Norse mythology of Valhalla, a legendary hall that serves great sandwiches! Don't let the small restaurant deceive you; this place serves sandwiches fit for Odin himself. With ample parking all around, my wife and I ordered two sandwiches. Our biggest regret? Not ordering any sides! I got the Bad Lieutenant, and my wife got the Big Ta-huna. The Bad Lietenant was jam packed with meat, and the sauce paired well with the overall flavor. The slaw added a nice refreshing crunch to the overall experience. The pulled pork was a bit on the drier side, but it was nothing that the sauce couldn't fix. Overall, a really solid sandwich and I highly recommend it. Now, I'm not a fan of tuna or fish sandwiches, but that Big Ta-Huna was nothing short of spectacular. The fish had its usual taste, but it was the other ingredients that made me sit in awe. The arugula was great, and the melted cheese made this more into a tuna melt. The flavors were great, and I was hoping my wife couldn't finish it by herself (which, in turn, would be given to me). Now, if you're not a fish guy or gal, I would stray away from this sandwich and pivot toward another. But wow, that was the show-stopper for me. Again, huge regret of not getting sides, which looked and smelled great. But not to fret, given that I'm only a 6 minute drive away, I will for sure be back (and I'm eyeing that pork belly one for sure)!

Elle C.

Yelp
Love this place! First place I take out of town visitors! Should definitely be on the top of the best sandwich lists imo.
google avatar

Betsy W.

Yelp
So flavourful! You have the option to have the sandwich fillings served over tots instead of bread which is a game changer!
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
This is hand down my favorite sandwich shop. So many fun and creative combinations. Portions are sizable, and very reasonably priced. Only knock is I wish they had move vegan options, but other than that, it's the best shop in town.
google avatar

Aly G.

Yelp
I love this place. quick and easy pickup, great food, good location. try the cubana as a tot bowl!
google avatar

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times it truly was worthy of the hype. The staff is s always so friendly and attentive and gives great recommendations if you're not sure which of the sandwiches to try! The outdoor tables are perfect for sunny days like the one when I visited last. If you're a fan of thanksgiving flavors, you have to try the Thanksgiving Sandwich; it's life changing. The Reuben is super tasty as well. Definitely make a stop here if you're in the neighborhood!
google avatar

Yelp
I was pretty happy with my visit to Valhalla. We got the steak beastie and el duderino with chipotle mac salad and tots. The bread on the sandwiches was great; the perfect balance of softness and density. The sandwiches were messy to eat because they're loaded up with a lot of toppings. The flavors on both sandwiches were intense but really good. Lots of salt, heat, and acidity. We were there during lunch on a weekend, so it got pretty busy after a bit. Popular spot. The seating area in the restaurant is small but they make up for that with covered outdoor seating. The people were all super friendly. Bonus points for SpongeBob on the TV inside.
google avatar

Elwan U.

Yelp
Ordered a side of salad with my co workers, and after everyone received their food I noticed I didn't get my salad, after waiting about 20 mins I asked where the salad was and the girl at the counter said they put it in my co workers plate. I asked her why she would an order that I ordered separately on another person plate filled with meat that I don't eat.

Yelp
Yesssss! Ever since Grinders closed sandwich places haven't appealed until I experienced this gem...ahhhh Reubenator! Tots and sauces super good too!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Best sandwich shop I've found thus far, always made with fresh tasting ingredients, layers of flavors and some unexpected (yet always awesome) combinations. Have yet to try a sandwich I didn't enjoy, surprisingly enough the veggie sandwich is still my top choice. Fair sizing for the pricing. The tots and mac salad rock.
google avatar

Alice L.

Yelp
Valhalla has some inventive and delicious takes on classic sandwiches! We got a Fidel Cashflow (like a Cubano but with pork belly) and an El Duderino. I personally preferred El Duderino because it felt a bit more balanced, but both sandwiches were fresh and so packed with flavor, on a crispy yet soft roll. I'd also highly recommend the tater tots with rosemary aioli! There isn't much indoor seating though there is an outdoor patio area. We came just before noon on a Saturday and had no difficulty finding seating, though when we left, it was starting to fill up. We enjoyed this so much that we ordered delivery later that week, and even then everything still tasted great!

Yelp
Fantastic sandwiches! Vegetarian and gluten free options were good. Don't sleep on the grilled cheese sandwich, it's a winner! The Big Tahuna and Buddha Call are my favorites. Order online ahead and skip the waiting.
google avatar

Yelp
I have never actually been to physical location for Valhalla so I can't comment on the building or ambiance but holy crap those sandwiches are to die for. I probably order from there 2-4 times a month. The tater tots are incredible and I'm obsessed with the Bad Lieutenant. The chipotle mayo is a great dip. Probably ordered here 10 times or so and they've never messed up our order. The meal is perfect and hot every time even when it seems like the Uber person takes forever. Try it! You won't regret it.

Yelp
I live in San Diego but have been to Valhalla twice. It was so amazing the first time that I literally had it typed on my itinerary for my next trip to Seattle because I had to have my husband try it. It's in the perfect neighborhood, it offers quick service, an amazing selection to choose from and it is beyond delicious! A must is always the mac salad. Yes, please! On this trip we also got the pulled pork sandwich and the shrimp po' mofo. They were both fantastic. Two completely different flavor profiles, so I loved that variety. We split our sandwiches so I got to experience both. The pulled pork is great for someone who is looking for something not too adventurous but delicious and totally satisfying while the shrimp po' mofo is for those looking to be punched in the mouth with intense flavor. I actually really enjoyed splitting both just to mix it up, taste-wise. I will definitely be back. The perfect lunch spot!

Yelp
I had a flight to the East Coast and didn't want something overly heavy or too light and this ended up being perfect even though I had to order a pulled pork sandwich. When I read it, I was sold and OMG what a sandwich! Some of the best sandwiches I have ever seen (they're beautiful) and tried (sooo tasty). We ordered some loaded tots and regular tots to share and my oh my were these amazing! I highly recommend the loaded tots. We sat outside in their nice patio bench seating. The vibe here is laid back and pretty fun. Definitely a great spot to bring friends for lunch!

Yelp
OMG yum. If I go again I'll make sure to order online, because it looked so seamless. The staff was quite busy but everything came out really fast. We got the Valhalla pork, Fidel cash flow in salad form (no bread, served on arugula), grilled PB&J, two strawberry ciders on tap, loaded tots, and a brown butter rice/fruity pebbles krispie treat--$52 and change before tip. I didn't read the menu carefully enough and my sandwich was topped with an apple jalapeno slaw. Horrific! I scraped it off and my fiance ate it happily. The remainder of my sandwich was incredible. Juicy pork, a mountain of it, topped with smoky bbq sauce with no heat, just fyi. It was hard for my 3 yo to eat the thick PB&J, but the sandwich itself was really tasty and buttery. The tots were absolutely incredible, with beer cheese, bacon, and pickled onions--just :chef's kiss:. Salad was demolished immediately. I really loved my cider, to too. Light and very drinkable--perfect summer beverage. It's not a cheap place to eat lunch, that's for sure. But if you're looking for a great outdoor patio, a city park right next door to eat/play in, and delicious food do not look any further. Had zero trouble finding street parking on a Monday afternoon.

Yelp
Great service. Great staff. Cool vibe. The sandwiches were ok. We got the El Duderino and the Shrimp Po Mo'fo. Tasty, but super greasy and pretty heavy. If you're into very saucy, heavy sandwiches it's for you.

Yelp
Best Sammy's on the east side. Give them a try. If you don't like them then you don't deserve to be on yelp.
