The Best Kid-Friendly Restaurants in Jacksonville, Florida | Eater Miami

"Valley Smoke is a picturesque restaurant nestled along the waterways of Ponte Vedra, offering a family-friendly atmosphere and an extensive menu from seafood to barbecue. While the kid’s menu features a wide range of barbecue options, such as ribs and chicken, children may also dine on local fried shrimp or fried chicken. On sunny days, families can enjoy dining al fresco, and children can wave to passing boats as they journey out of the channel toward the ocean."

The best brunches in Jacksonville, Florida | Eater Miami

"Every weekend from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Valley Smoke Restaurant serves some of the best barbecue brunch plates in town. Dishes like the brisket hash and eggs and Johnny cakes are loaded with house-smoked barbecue, which diners can smell from the parking lot. There are plenty of other non-barbecue laden dishes like the fried chicken and waffles or the biscuits and gravy that are topped with two eggs. No matter what’s ordered, everyone will likely be swapping plates around to try a bit of everything."

My friend and I drive 5 hours from Miami at least every year to enjoy the best barbecue restaurant in the state - Valley Smoke. Everything is cooked to perfection. The drinks are awesome and the seating outside in the tent is the best! Right on the intercoastal. And the staff is so nice without being overly attentive. Our server Leah was awesome! No issue staying for a couple hours or more. Lots of cool birds and boats passing by. It's like having the privilege of someone inviting you to their home on Roscoe Blvd for dinner. Parking is only mandatory if the self-parking is full. And try the triple spicy mustard! I wish there was a bottle for me to buy and bring home, hopefully next time.

We found a great hidden gem for dinner as we were HOURS away from home (Orlando). This place was super tasty, very clean, upscale with welcoming customer service and great river views. They even grow their own collard greens, make all BBQ sauces homemade, brew their sweet tea fresh, smoke grill all their meats on the firewood outside & offer complimentary valet parking. Our service was excellent from the time we walked in with the owner getting us and checking in on our table quite frequently. Our server Gabe was AMAZING & knowledgeable about all of the specials, menu ingredients and homemade sauces. We definitely will make the drive to go back in the future. It was so good we even purchased ribs to take back home. Perfect restaurant!!! Is it possible to give an 100 out of 10? 😉

We went as a party of 12. They took such good care of us. They have a great restaurant with exceptional outdoor seating. This place is right on the river with plenty of space to wonder while you wait. The food takes some time to prepare, but wow it's good!! Highly recommend.

We celebrated our daughter’s graduation at Valley Smoke tonight, and it was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. We had a party of 25 and were set up in a beautiful outdoor space right on the water—it couldn’t have been more ideal for such a special occasion. Our server, Julio, was truly exceptional. He was warm, attentive, and made every guest feel taken care of. His service was a solid 10/10—honestly, we loved him! It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond with such genuine kindness and ease. He always does! The food was delicious across the board. Every single guest raved about their meal, and you could tell everything was made with care and quality. We’re so grateful to the entire Valley Smoke team for helping us create a night our family will never forget. Thank you! 🤍

Somewhere between the salt-kissed breeze off the Intracoastal and the slow, smoky perfume of pecan wood curling through the air, Valley Smoke isn't just a restaurant — it’s a low-country love song, served medium rare with a side of Southern charm. Rolling up with a large, hungry entourage that included a band of wild-eyed, sun-warmed kids might give lesser establishments a panic attack. But not here. Before we even had time to corral the troops, the manager Ralph — a man who clearly understands that fed children are happy children — appeared like a culinary saint with baskets of golden, salty French fries for the little ones. No fanfare. No fuss. Just good old-fashioned kindness. The smoked meats are obviously the stars of the show — carved and served with reverence — but what really stands out here is the feel. You’re not just dining; you’re experiencing something personal. Something generous. Our server Jaden, Impeccable. Effortless charm, razor-sharp timing, and the kind of warmth that makes you want to stay for just one more drink, just one more sunset. Valley Smoke isn’t just where you go to eat. It’s where you go to be.

Update 3/11/25: Yes all systems on point our server was amazing tonight. A great experience for all of us. We ordered the 5 meat platter and it came with 3 large sides. Wow The Brisket melts in your mouth no BBQ sauce needed. All the food was delicious. The pulled pork and chicken were so good. My wife went nuts over the ribs. Mac and cheese & the baked beans were superb. Best Barbecue I have ever eaten. I highly recommend you come enjoy. Make a reservation for the best seating.

My first time here. I’ve shied away in the past because the valet parking discouraged me. Don’t let that do that to you. Was meeting some friends here and I got there early to check it out. Glad I did. Sat at the bar, Rachel was the Bartender. She is amazing! Very good at her job. I ordered the two drinks since specials and wings for an appetizer. When my friends arrived we just stayed at the bar. Beautiful location on the canal across from a nature preserve that I pray never gets developed! Great food, drinks and service!

Very good and excellent service! Our server offered to make a nice iced coffee for me and was very friendly. Food was also good tasting and satisfying.

All of these owners restaurants are off the chart for greatness. Great selections from traditional to cutting edge.

Yelp
We came here on a Friday night while we had guests in town. First recommendation, make a reservation (and make it early...meaning at least a week plus out). This place gets booked very quickly! We opted to have a drink at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. I like that they have bar seating and then they also have a couch and a a few arm chairs that sit in front a huge bourbon selection. I'm not a bourbon fan (much to my dad's chagrin), but it was neat to see the 100s of options they had available. I had my standard lemon drop martini, which was tart and sweet and delicious. Halfway through our drinks our table was ready, so we made our way to our table. We were seated in a room to the right of the bar (if you're facing where the intracoastal is located). This room has shiplap paneling, a deer head over the fireplace and a huge framed American flag. It's warm and inviting. Our server, Seth, was super nice and joked around with our kiddo. While everyone ordered a second round, we looked over the menu. For starters we opted for the ham croquettes and some of their chips with blue cheese dipping sauce. Everything came out pretty quickly, and I was eager to dig into the ham and cheese croquettes. I'm used to croquetas from Spain, which tend to be shaped differently, but they were very similar. The filling was flavorful and I liked the mustard garnish they put underneath each croquette, because it added great flavor. The chips were perfectly cooked and the dipping sauce was nice and creamy. Next onto entrees. I saw the table next to me being served their food and asked their server what everyone ordered. She said almost everyone at the table ordered the porkchop and she said it was the best item on the menu. I was initially thinking of getting the brisket, but decided to try the porkchop. That porkchop did NOT disappoint. Between the chutney and the cheese grits, it was like a medley of deliciousness in every bite. The portion size was generous with two full pork chops. I wound up saving one porkchop for lunch, which did not disappoint. I know sometimes pork chops can either be cooked great or they can be dry. This pork chop was moist, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.

Yelp
This was my first visit & definitely won't be my last! Luckily I went with family so we ordered a few different appetizers to share- deviled farm eggs, shrimp fritters (on special), & brisket poutine. They were all great but the poutine was my absolute favorite. It paired beautifully with my cocktail which I absolutely loved- the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (WTF) | Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon, Licor 43, Carpano Blanco Vermouth, & orange bitters. I decided I wanted to have bbq for my first visit. I went with the Valley Smoke Beef Brisket (choice: marbled, mmm fat) platter which is served with pickles, garlic toast, and choice of two sides- mac and cheese & bacon garlic green beans. After the poutine, I knew I'd made a good call on the brisket. I really liked the rub used on it & the crust it created. The mac was good but the green beans were great!

Yelp
All I can say is wow. The way they serve their grits is like none other. It's more of a very flavorful sushi rice. I have never seen grits done like this. The plate was full of unique flavors that were amazing. The tacos were astounding too. The service at Valley is always on point and friendly. Brunch was an amazing time to go, not too busy and a great view of the water. Would love to go back and try more brunch plates.

Yelp
Fun spot to come and enjoy the bourbon wall and sit at the bar! Vibe of the restaurant is social and happy. Staff is friendly and courteous. Food for me lacked the expectation. My wife ordered the Pulled Pork w/two sides Mac'n' Cheese and Collard Greens. The Pork was dry for my liking and taste and flavor should stand on its own without having to pour lots of sauce on it. I ordered the Brisket and while the bark was tasty the meat was too fatty, either the cut of meat was not prime or it was not cooked or smoked long enough and it was greasy. I only had a few bites and chose not to eat any more of it. Location is nice, Valet is complimentary and prices seem reasonable.

Yelp
One of the best indoor/outdoor venues for dining that we have found. Beautiful views on the water and you can sit and watch all the boats go by. At Christmas time the Palm Valley boat parade will come right past this lovely patio. People will gather their chairs and sit on the lawn for this annual tradition! They have a great menu filled with something for everyone. Check it out - there is a photo. They offer a full bar and yummy cocktails. Perfect for dining al fresco! We frequent once every other week. It has always been a fantastic experience each time! Love the views, the food, the staff, location! Everything is awesome!

Yelp
Finally found a good time to dine here. Even on a Wednesday night, the place was full so thank goodness for reservations. We literally checked in and were seated immediately. We started with the skillet cornbread which was very good. We then opted for the 'Que for 2 and chose chicken, ribs, and turkey but were informed they just ran out so we did brisket instead of the turkey. For sides, poblano creamed corn, creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. All the sides were excellent but I listed them in order of preference. #GetTheCorn The inside is beautifully appointed but with all the wood and hard materials throughout, it was loud. Their bar was center stage much like all their other restaurants in the "Ben and Liza" family. Service from Julia was perfect - friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Management also checked on us towards the end of the meal so this place really has it going on. Add 2 more fans to the Valley Smoke list.

Yelp
My love for beef brisket knows no bounds, but I only have it at places that I know specialize in it. In my self-destructive phase, I had a few bad brisket experiences and made a pact with myself, never again. It had been maybe a year or so since the last time I had danced with the cut of meat from the lower breast of a cow, so you can understand my excitement when I was told we were going to Valley Smoke. We were seated in a booth fit for a world champion and started off with an order of Fried Chicken Liver, cornbread, and some fried green tomatoes. The cornbread was carrying the team on its back à la Greg Jennings. It came in this warm skillet and was almost like a cake. Corncake. Hehe. I scanned the menu like a Colts Peyton Manning going through his progressions and saw a tomato soup. The thing about me is I NEVER miss this read, as tomato soup has to be the most underrated soup in the game. This one was a top 2 tomato soup I've ever had, as it came with a perfectly charred grilled cheese hanging off the rim to dip. It was spiritual. My only regret is that I got a cup instead of a bowl smh. For the main event, I obviously got the Valley Smoke Beef Brisket Plate with a side of cream corn and brisket baked beans. It was the elegant dance I had so long yearned for, fulfilling every last hope and dream. The cuts of brisket easily sliced through, falling off the theoretical bone, melting in my mouth. I'm salivating right now thinking back. Who knows when the next brisket I have will be. It's bitter, baby, but at the same time, it's very sweet. A slow roller coaster, but I'm on my feet.......... Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.......... I thought that last paragraph wrapped this review up nicely, but I must come clean about something, my dear reader. I lied to you earlier. I have another regret other than just getting a cup of tomato soup instead of a bowl: These were arguably the worst quality pictures I have taken for a review yet and do not do Valley Smoke the justice it deserves. I won't make excuses because I carry myself like a world champion and world champions don't make excuses. But if I were to make excuses, I would say that I was with my girlfriend's family for the first time and I can't be that phone-eats-first guy on the initial impression, even though that's exactly what I am. I need to make a good first impression before I take the mask off. I mean what would you do? No excuses though, I'm a world champion. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__reviews

Yelp
Nice barbecue restaurant in Ponte Vedra on the water provides an upscale dining feel with Southern comfort menu. We ordered the bbq for 2 and it had three meat items and three side items. The chicken was Smoky and juicy and my husband liked the ribs and brisket. For sides we chose the mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and cream corn. They all tasted great. The cornbread starter was served in a small cast iron skillet and was hot and flavorful. The service was excellent, server was friendly and attentive. We made a reservation and did not have to wait at all.

Yelp
This place is so overrated. Food ok. Service is all 15 year olds on summer break. Ambience is full of drunk old men spilling drinks. Overcrowded, idek how. Valet is a clown show.

Yelp
Valley Smoke is always one of our go to restaurants. The food, and service is Always word class.

Yelp
The reuben was the best sandwich I have ever had. Fantastic restaurant! Highly recommend. Very fairly priced for what you get!

Yelp
This place is unbelievable. Every time I visit my mother who lives in palm valley neighborhood I make it a point to stop in. My shaved ribeye sandwich was almost a spiritual experience and almost brought tears of joy to my eyes as I inhaled it like a starving dog. Do yourself a favor and try this place if you haven't been blessed enough to have already discovered Valley Smoke. I've eaten there probably a half dozen times and they never disappoint. You can close your eyes and just point at the menu randomly and will get an amazing meal regardless of what you choose! I would give them 10 stars if possible. Food is amazing, service is spectacular and the ambiance is amazing with river views in the back.

Yelp
We arrived for a late lunch and got seated immediately. We sat on the back with a view of the intracoastal waterway. Our waiter was an absolute pleasure. Julio was very helpful on his delivery of preferential dishes and drinks, as we had never been here. We started out with a beer and cocktail. I had a mule that was right on point!! So refreshing. The beer was cold and crisp! We did an appetizer of poutine. It came out hot and before our meal. The barbecue on top mixed with gravy and cheese atop of a bed of fries!! Just a wonderful treat. Next we ordered the q for 2. Pick three meats and three sides. We got the pork, beef and turkey. I had a salad, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. The serving was definitely enough for two. The beef and pork had a wonderful smoke flavor, tender and delicious. Turkey was a little dry. The Mac was cheesy and wonderful. Salad was not too bad just not much other than lettuce. Overall though we had leftovers and a great experience. My husband had the strawberry shortcake dessert. Not real impressed but not bad! I would definitely recommend and will be back!!

Yelp
I typically don't review restaurants. We had never been to this place before so I checked Yelp and everything looked good except for a 1-star review yesterday. Seemed anomalous in the big picture of reviews so we took a chance. Arrived around 6pm and the lot was full. Good sign. Was initially told the outside seating was full then the hostess returned and said everyone left at once so it was open. Ok, cool. Went outside and every table but one was empty so we seated ourselves. Amazing views of the ICW! Putting green area for the kids and lots of benches by the water for hanging out while you wait for a table or whatever. The server came by in a second and brought menus, silverware, and water. We ordered drinks, 2 starters, and an appetizer. The food showed up within 5 minutes. The drinks showed up about 5 minutes later. Wow! Looked and smelled great. It was all delicious except we ordered the beef app and got the pork belly instead. No biggie as we had considered that one. We ate all that while the patio filled up. The table to one side of us had the same server we did while the others had a different server. They ordered an app and food after our apps arrived. We enjoyed what we had so far and were going to order an entree. Waited for the server for a while and watched the other tables get served food. Waited and waited and waited. The table next to us with the same server as us also got ignored but they knew one of the runners/bus boys/whatever so they managed to get their food. Long story short after 45 minutes (we were basically just seeing how long we'd get ignored at this point) we flagged down a lady who I believe was the floor manager and asked for the check. She apologized and brought us our check and we explained the situation. She apologized again and basically said well, see you later. Given the caliber of restaurant and what it's striving to be I would have expected an incentive to return. Maybe knock something off the bill or throw me a gift card or something. Instead I basically got shooed away. Now the 1-star review that I read from yesterday makes sense. At least our food was good. As we left the restaurant I saw our server at a table in the section overlooking (literally) the patio. Then I saw the lady that gave us our check talking at him. On my way out I stopped in the rest room and as I went out the door I saw the SAME server working a table at the front of the restaurant behind a curtain. So wait a second, you're making this guy wait on tables at the front of the restaurant, the back of the restaurant, AND the outside?!? Talk about setting the guy up to fail. The odds of us returning at this point are not good which is too bad but thankfully I don't live up there so I have other choices.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner at Valley Smoke Restaurant tonight. The food and drinks were excellent, the service highly professional and welcoming. Raw oysters were great, my steak and my husband's burger were just how we wanted. We also liked their location and ambiance. The place was full, and everybody around us seemed to enjoy their meal. We definitely recommend this restaurant.

Carole L.

Yelp
Food is excellent, service was great, wonderful view...ask for a table in the "sun room". Recommend to go early, we left at 1:30 (sat at 11:30 with no issues) for lunch and the place was PACKED, even the bar. I changed up and didn't get my favorite pulled pork sandwich but ordered the Cuban and it was delicious and more than I could eat!

Yelp
We had a great family night at Valley Smoke! There were about 12 adults & 4 kids total. We had a nice long table in the room to the right. Our server was efficient and very kind to us! We enjoyed the pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. All were cooked to perfection with the ribs just about falling off the bone! Their selection of bourbon is unmatched, sooooo many to choose from! We selected a Few cocktails to try and were impressed with their flavor and fresh qualities!!! Will definitely return for a date night!! No photos this time because I was on auntie duties ;)

Yelp
This place is one of my absolute favorites. Of course we did hit it at absolute perfect weather, and got to sit outside in the Adirondack chairs after dinner for a good bit. Incredible views, great bar, great menu, and a well staffed establishment. I will definitely be going back the next time. I'm in Jacksonville.

Yelp
Delicious. Great service. The place is beautiful and simply well done. I as there with a large group and we had such a good time.

Yelp
I don't have pics of the food, but everything was really good. We had the poutine and livers as apps...both were great. The livers didn't have a strong mineral taste at all. If you like them crispy, they were 50/50 in that arena, but the sauce and flavor was great. I would order both again. The bbq sauces are all really good and flavorful. I'm not big on spicy food and even the spicy sauces were very tolerable. The greens are amazing. We did pulled port and wings. Both were really good. Out waiter was beyond amazing. Couldn't say enough good things about him. When we left, my battery was dead (I knew it would be). The valet guys had a portable starter with them. I have one myself, but for them to have one, I wasn't expecting that. The guys were incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave my car a jump and we talked about their Halo device and how nice it is to have in situations like this. This place is worth checking out. You will spend some money and some may think it's a little pricey for a bbq place, but it's worth it.

Yelp
We had an amazing dinner at Valley Smoke the day after Christmas! It was super busy because of the holiday season. We sat in the outside tent and it was very comfortable. They had lots of the portable heaters that kept the area nice and toasty despite the colder temperatures that were outside. We enjoyed some wine and cocktails before dinner. They were out of the wine we initially ordered but we made an alternate selection and it was just fine. All of our food was delicious! I would definitely come back here again!
google avatar

Christina R.

Yelp
Super yummy! I always get the brisket sandwich! The pickled onions are the bomb!! I had no idea I would've enjoyed them. But I will pop them in my mouth by themselves!! I do highly recommend checking your to go order, especially if it a large order for an office, for example. We have found forgotten items quite a bit.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this spot. The service was great, the view is fantastic and food was drool worthy. The pork chop was the best I've ever experienced. We can't wait to come back. My only critique would be the banana pudding tasted artificial but that's shall in the scheme of our fantastic meal.

Yelp
We went there one of our friend birthday dinner celebration. As a starter we had pimento cheese dip with pita bread it was good. I had glass of dirty martini. For all of us, we got meat platter for 4-5 people. Even though we were 4 people, it does have a lot of meats. My favorite was brisket. I had some turkey as well. I was so full and I would not be able to taste everything. I loved the sides. We ordered, corn bread, mac and cheese, potatos, everything was pretty delicious. We won't be able to finish everything because it was gigantic sizes. If you are around I would recommend this place
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
The food here is amazing and the atmosphere is as well. We went here for lunch and sat outside watching the boats go by. The food was delicious from starter to entree. We had the fried green tomatoes and they were delicious. I had the ribs and brisket which were both cooked perfectly. The sides do not disappoint either. This is a good place for high end bbq.

Yelp
Where do we go for a Sunday Brunch? Called Valley Smoke and they were fully booked inside and only 20 minutes wait outside. We ended up only waiting less than 10 minutes. We're ready to eat and my wife ordered the Barbecue Shrimp and Grits with Bloody Mary and I ordered the Valley Smoke Beef Brisket plate with Coffee Stout. Brisket was juicy, moist, and tender perfectly paired with sides of bacon garlic green beans and German potatoes. That 3-slices of brisket plate was plentiful. Definitely enjoyed it. Switched plates with my wife and I had a third of her shrimp and grits. Large grilled shrimp and sausage mixed with grits and eggs. Our meals filled us up. We usually have dessert especially when they offer bread pudding, but they didn't have any at the time. "Maybe dinner time", our server stated. It was about to rain hard so we opted for the check instead and a couple of minutes later, it poured! Good thing we had plenty enough time to enjoy our meals. Great service! Tip: Complimentary valet parking is available

Yelp
Valley Smoke never disappoints! Excellent food Excellent service Charming ambiance Lovely setting on the river with plenty of space for kids to run around and even a kids' mini putting green. It doesn't get much better!

Yelp
First time here at Valley Smoke and definitely not the last! We have tried other neighboring restaurants in this area and the view of the lake is one of the reasons we keep coming back! We did not have a reservation, but the wait time was only 15 minutes and then we were seated outside, Yes! For drinks, we started with Bloody Mary and Coffee Stout Beer. The beer was strong and good! For lunch, I ordered the BBQ Shrimp and Grits. They used the grits from Congaree and Penn and as expected, it was smooth and creamy! Taste even better with their BBQ Shrimp and sausages! Delicious! Hubby got the the Beef Brisket and it was so tender and juicy! One of the best briskets I have ever tasted! We wanted a bread pudding dessert, unfortunately it was not available. Fine, we have an excuse to go back lol. Everything was flavorful and service was top notch despite a full house on a Sunday brunch. I urge everyone to try this place, you will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
This place was a pleasure both times we have dined here. The service was excellent as well as the food. Both times we got the que for 4 option. This allows you to choose 5 meats and 3 large sides. Everything was great. The hot link sausages were a little hot for some of us, but we all loved everything else.
google avatar

Yelp
The location of Valley Smoke makes it a popular spot for the gorgeous water views as well as multiple seating options (indoor, outdoor, patio and bar area) with something for everyone. It was a popular spot for birthday brunches while we were there. Valet parking so bring a few dollars for a tip! I've loved everything we've had here but my favorites are the smoked chicken, beef brisket and creamed spinach on the side. They have multiple creative mocktail options in addition to a fully stocked and impressive whiskey list. Make a reservation as this place is popular for a reason.

Yelp
Excellent barbecue, presented in creative ways. Good bar with interesting cocktails. Friendly service with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Their brisket is very good and it is served in classic dishes and some interesting twists. Try the brisket hash on the brunch menu.

Yelp
We trekked out to Valley Smoke for an early dinner hoping to take advantage of the Happy Hour specials that are listed on their business website. HOWEVER, we found out that the "Happy Hour" food offerings no longer exist...yet they are still on their website. Not a great sign of an efficient business when menu offerings on the website don't align with the actual menu. Anyway, we had already driven 45 minutes to get there so we smiled and continued on. It wasn't the wait staffs fault. The wait staff was great! Our server was kind, attentive and honestly embarrassed when she had to tell us that the "happy hour" didn't include food. The restaurant leadership/management needs to get their marketing aligned. Oh, and their specials included a "desert"....who wants sand for their "dessert"? Grammar is important! Food- 3 out of 5. I had pulled pork, and smoked Turkey. Lots of fat (lots) in the pulled pork. My wife had the vegan hash....it was more like a "ton of zucchini and a few other veggies". Was hoping for a breed experience but was a bit disappointed.

Yelp
Valley Smoke is an absolute BBQ paradise that sets a new standard for exceptional dining. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the enticing aroma of slow-cooked meats, promising an unforgettable experience. The rustic yet modern ambiance creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a gathering with friends or a delightful family dinner. The star of the show, undoubtedly, is their BBQ. The tender, smoky meats were a carnivore's dream come true. Each bite was a harmonious blend of rich flavors and exquisite seasoning, leaving me craving for more. The variety of meats and delectable homemade sauces allowed me to explore a range of tastes, and every choice was a winner. The service at Valley Smoke was impeccable, with the staff's passion for BBQ shining through in their attentive and friendly approach. The cherry on top was the delectable side dishes that perfectly complemented the main courses. Without a doubt, Valley Smoke is a must-visit destination for BBQ enthusiasts and foodies alike. I am already looking forward to my next visit to indulge in their heavenly BBQ offerings once more.

Yelp
If you are looking for delicious food with amazing service and a spectacular view Valley Smoke is the place to go. Make a reservation if you are going on the weekend because they are always busy.

Yelp
First off...delicious food, great food. Apps to die for. Service was extremely slow to start but once it started was on point. The bad part... pets. While I waited for my table in the foyer, a man walked in with his pet- dog on leash no vest to say it was a service dog. I realize there is outdoor seating but the rest of this man's party should have held onto the pet while he came to put his name on the wait list. The pet was drooling everywhere. With the kitchen 5 feet away. So nasty. It pisses me off that no one ever says anything because they don't want to lose business. You cannot have pets inside a restaurant!!! I leave mine at home so can you

Yelp
We are huge fans of this place! You do need to book a reservation or it will be hard to get in. The servers are always very good. The food is hit or miss but we've gone enough to know what to get and what not to. We always get the oak smoked burrata appetizer and the bees knees drink is my favorite. I usually get the brisket or the salmon. The atmosphere is great and we have gotten lucky to sit in some of the best spots! Definitely recommend the hummingbird dessert! It's unbelievable!!

Yelp
My new favorite restaurant. Their food is awesome which is accompanied with food drinks and friendly servers. They have one of THE BEST selections of bourbon. The water view is amazing as well. Rachel works the bar during lunch and is super attentive and friendly. I love this restaurant.

Yelp
Not very close to me, but WORTH THE DRIVE! Probably recommend making reservations. It was pretty busy when we went and we got seated pretty quick because we had a reservation. The barbecue was amazing! The ribs fell off the bone and the brisket was so tender!! They have 6 different bbq sauce you can dip. Triple spicy mustard was my go to! It also looks like you can snag a bottle for home. They have cocktails, beer, and wine too! & Valet parking

Yelp
First time having brunch here and I can't wait to come back. We loved hanging out back while we waited to be seated. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. We had the following: Brisket Plate, Crispy Chicken Livers, Pimento cheese and crackers, beignets, chicken and waffles, churrasco steak and eggs, brisket hash and eggs, banana pudding and humming bird cake.

Yelp
It was a random stop for lunch and we were very happy with everything. Beautiful creek view, fast service and delicious food. I've had the best Churrasco steak I've ever had! Brisket was pretty good too.

Yelp
Great location on the inner-coastal. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. They have an incredible indoor bar. The menu is extensive. I recommend the sample combo where you get to try various BBQ at once. Great atmosphere and staff!

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place! My friends have been raving about it but I've been out of town each time they've gone. Luckily I got the chance to go! Great ambiance, great bar, and great food. My cocktail was on the small side but delicious. The cornbread skillet was hot and cooked to perfection. Best ribs and brisket I've ever had. My creamed spinach and friend's jalapeño grits were really good. The only thing that didn't win me over was the Mac n cheese. We ended the evening with the hummingbird cake which was must try. Our waitress wasn't as attentive as I like but we had 2 managers visit our table to ask about our experience which was very thoughtful. This is definite must try. Best to make reservation because it gets crowded quickly.

Yelp
There were 3 orders placed and 3 uneatable meals. Fries were ice cold and had been fried more than once. Tuff and hard as well as cold. Shrimp was hard as a rock and cold. Brisket sandwich was dry and would chick you going down. The Ruben was cold with cheese not even melted and meat cold and tasteless. Waitress (Mary) rude and did not care about any of our complaints. I won't return.

Yelp
Consistent barbecue. Excellent Brunswick stew. Gorgeous setting on the intracoastal waterway, highly recommend sitting in the tent. Wonderful cocktails with prompt service.

Yelp
This is the worst restaurant experience I've had in over a decade. Upon being seated outside, it took our waitress 10 minutes to show up. A little slow, but I figured it would be fine. I ordered a medium rare steak and the steak came out well done. Sent it back, no apology from anyone on staff. My next steak comes out. By now, guests who came 30 minutes after us have received their food. The new steak is medium well: No apology. I ask to speak to the manager - he argues with me that my steak might be medium. Doesn't matter because I ordered a medium rare. Told him to forget the steak and that I just wanted brisket. I've reiterated at least 5 times that I have a severe gluten allergy (celiacs). My brisket plate comes out with bread on it which would've made me very sick. Send it back AGAIN. By now, everyone else in my party has long finished their meals and people seated 30 minutes after us have eaten and left. Again, zero apologies. The manager begrudgingly goes for gets a new plate. I finally get an edible plate. The brisket is just ok. Overall a dismal experience. Absolutely the worst meal I've had in a very, very long time. They weren't even close to my order at any point. Terrible restaurant, terrible service. They should be ashamed. P.S. we sat for more than half our meal with empty waters. Forget refills.
