Van Leeuwen Ice Cream - Review - Miami Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"The massive New York ice cream shop chain has landed in Miami Beach. Some flavors include dulce de leche brownie, black cherry chip, and earl grey tea. They have vegan ice cream options, too. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Mariana Trabanino

Sabrina Carpenter and Van Leeuwen Are Releasing ‘Espresso’ Ice Cream | Eater

"Partnering with pop star Sabrina Carpenter, the company is launching an espresso ice cream that combines an espresso base with brownies, chocolate chips, and fudge swirls. It will be available in shops beginning June 28 and sold by the pint both in stores and online. A portion of proceeds will be donated to charity, though the beneficiary hasn’t been specified. The maker has recently focused on timely, novelty collaborations that sometimes hit the mark and sometimes miss, and this coffee-forward flavor is presented as a relatively palatable entry in that trend." - Jaya Saxena

Food Delivery Via Autonomous Robots Has Rolled Into Miami | Eater Miami

"Orders from Van Leeuwen are now being delivered by Reef Technology’s electric-powered robots in Downtown Miami within a 3/4-mile radius; when customers order from a Reef vendor via Postmates, UberEats, DoorDash, or GrubHub they may be prompted with a robot delivery option. The robot typically arrives within 30 minutes or less, waits outside and sends a text alert, and the delivery compartment remains locked so only the recipient can access the food. The system is intended to make short-distance, small-order deliveries faster while reducing road congestion and carbon emissions, though similar rollouts elsewhere have drawn controversy over potential job loss and pedestrian safety, and Reef and Cartken plan to expand the robots to other neighborhoods in the following weeks." - Olee Fowler

Google
Refreshing to find ice cream in Miami. Everything is gelato. The flavors are traditional and unique. Good flavors with a good creamy texture. Tells me a decent quality. We had three scoop bowls with hot fudge and various toppings. Comfortable seating and plenty. Overall a good ice cream spot in a world of gelato. The prices a bit steep but it’s a treat.

I first discovered Van Leeuwen a few years at Hudson Yards in Manhattan and loved it. I remember it was in a hot Labor Day weekend, and that ice cream was just what I needed for that hot afternoon. When I saw they opened a new location in Miami Beach, I drove over the MacArthur Causeway to South Beach just to taste it and see if they were still as good as I remembered. And yes, they are. I sampled a couple flavors, but I couldn’t leave without my pistachio. It is the real deal. The location itself is located at the heart of the touristic zone in Miami Beach, but don’t let that prevent you from tasting this. I also liked the service; it was super fast and friendly.

Google
The vegan ice cream here is incredible—I had to get my own scoop after trying my husband’s! The staff was so friendly and sweet. A must-visit in Miami.

Yelp
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream offers a range of ice cream and sundaes, focusing on high-quality ingredients and classic recipes. They are known for their French ice cream, made with twice the amount of egg yolks compared to standard ice cream, resulting in a rich and creamy texture. They also offer a wide variety of vegan options made with coconut, cashews, and oats, ensuring a treat for everyone. Their menu includes classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry alongside unique and creative options such as Earl Grey Tea, Honeycomb, and Sicilian Pistachio. For those looking for something more decadent, Van Leeuwen crafts a variety of sundaes featuring their ice cream flavors layered with delectable toppings and sauces. For example, the Caramel Cone Sundae features vanilla bean ice cream, salted caramel sauce, whipped cream, and crushed cone pieces. They've even partnered with local businesses to create special sundae collaborations, like the chocolate chip biscuit sundae with honeycomb ice cream, whipped cream, and caramel sauce offered with Bomb Biscuit Co.My family induced and got YUZU strawberry cheesecake, vegan cookies and cream caramel swirl with hot fudge! One got 3 flavors (goodest) brown sugar cookie dough brownie, v cookies and cream caramel swirl and vegan banana bread pudding with fudge cup; and one got two flavors (gooder) mint chip, chocolate fudge brownie cup with hot fudge! All so decadent and all so good!

Yelp
I came by to the newly opened Van Leeuwen on a Sunday afternoon after lunch. The ice cream shop is located by 16th and Collins in Miami Beach. I've been a fan for a while - buying the pints at the grocery stores but hadn't gone to a shop despite seeing them in NYC. It was quite busy but staff was really kind and helpful, letting us try many different flavors. We went with two scoop - the Marion cheesecake and the cookie dough on a cone bowl. Both ice creams were delicious and there are tons of different flavors. Both dairy and non-dairy. They have milkshakes and other options. You can even take a pint home. I will say the cone was a little under baked but was still enjoyable. There's ample amount of seating inside and out. Definitely a great ice cream spot!

Yelp
Wow! I loved everything about my visit. As soon as you walk in you're warmly greatly by the amazing and friendly staff. They said I could sample as many flavors as I'd like and of course I did, I tried just about every single flavor and I'd say I liked most. Take full advantage and try them all so you can decide yourself what you'd like. They have the following flavors from what I can remember: key lime pie, munberry cheesecake (I think that's the name), peanut butter (vegan and regular), vanilla, honeycomb, chocolate, strawberry, earl grey, jasmine with passion fruit, banana bread (vegan), pistachio, praline buttercream, cherry, and many more that I cannot recall now. I got a cone with 3 flavors because I truly love ice cream and their ice cream was truly creamy. I chose pistachio, praline buttercream, and vegan peanut butter. They have indoor and outdoor sitting. They also have a bathroom that you can use if you're a customer (not every place in Miami Beach has this). Overall a nice place to go alone or with friends or family. I loved my visit and would highly recommend them.

Yelp
This is the best ice cream I have ever had. I had the vegan banana flavor and the brownie fudge in a waffle cone, and the cone was made fresh (it was still warm!!). When I asked to sample a flavor, I was given a small metal spoon which I thought was so neat and environmentally friendly. The workers were very nice and efficient, and the store was so clean and aesthetically pleasing!

Yelp
Loved mango sticky rice and black cherry chip ice cream. So creamy and delicious. Great service. Will definitely come again

Yelp
Definitely in the running for best ice cream. I tried the cookies and cream and brown sugar cookie dough. Both were *chef's kiss*. The cone was literally the most delicious waffle cone I've ever tasted. Ugh... my only complaint is they need to open a location in Northern California, so I can get my fix on the regular!!! 10/10 flavor and experience.

Yelp
SUCH FUN FLAVORS! Lots of seating! Try the one with cornbread, you'll be so pleasantly surprised.
