"Whether you’ve had Van Leeuwen on the streets of Brooklyn or parked up on Abbot Kinney, it’s instantly recognizable by its sunny yellow truck. They’re particularly famous for their vegan ice cream, a combination of cashew milk, coconut milk, cocoa butter, and carob beans that’s incredibly creamy and indulgent (and a major victory for the dairy-sensitive). They’ve got a few locations now: Greenpoint, Boerum Hill, and Williamsburg in Brooklyn; the East and West Villages in Manhattan; and the Arts District and Culver City in LA. You can always track their many food trucks on their website."

Google
Tried the Sicilian Pistachio and Cookies & Cream in a cone—portions were pretty big! While the pistachio doesn’t quite compare to the gelato in Italy, it’s still a solid option, and Van Leeuwen is definitely a go-to for ice cream in New York. The shop itself is small and often crowded, but there’s a little seating area inside and benches outside where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. I’ll definitely be back to try more flavors—summer is just around the corner!

Google
Honestly, I never saw the reason why I would go into Van Leeuwen ice cream shop, but I think I made the right choice in going !! The ice cream is super yummy and it’s very rich and flavor. What my friend said about the milkshake is that it was super yummy and wish she had more. They have a lot of options and next time I’m going to try the strawberry matcha ice cream.

Google
Ask for a sample of the ice cream cake ice cream. You'll probably end up choosing that as your flavor. Really great place for dessert!

Cynthia Thomasson

Google
Super creamy and delicious Ice Cream. Numerous flavors to choose from with Vegan options and outdoor seating!

Anna Joo

Google
Cute place with about 5 seatings available. Unengaged staff. Had one scoop of earl grey flavour. Tasted like having earl grey with milk and sugar. Floral tone in the beginning. Nutty tones at the end. The texture was something between a gelato and Häagen-Dazs - sticky, but with denser/firmer texture.

Google
This place is great! The size of the store is small so just be ready for the crowded spot but the ice cream is delicious! One of my favorite ice cream companies in NYC. You absolutely have to try the earl grey ice cream - it is fantastic!! The staff is super friendly and will let you try plenty of flavors as you make up your mind. Do go and check it out!

Google
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was my first time and the person on duty made suggestions on what ice cream flavors I should get. I wanted to try out honey comb and it was suggested for me to pair it with earl grey. I also love that they use wooden spoons for customers to try out ice cream. They are lessening the use of plastics! There were seats inside and outside.

Google
Delicious ice cream. Super friendly staff. I appreciate the many flavors to choose from and the staff was so kind and efficient. What a sweet treat after a long day in the city!

Yelp
This little ice cream shop is a great spot to stop if you're looking for a treat after a burger or something at one of the nearby restaurants. It's not a very big shop, but it's still nice, and they are more than happy to give you some samples before you place your order. Lots of really fun flavors, too!

Yelp
So yummy. We were addicted to gelato, but then wound up here as an alternative. It was so cold outside, but the ice cream was so delicious. I would go back here all the time if we lived nearby.

Yelp
Quick easy access in the mall. The server was really sweet and always smiling. I had the vegan strawberry shortcake and don't generally opt for a fruity ice cream but wow this was so delicious. Normally I find vegan ice creams to be heavy on oat flavor or coconut flavor but this truly tasted like actual milk based ice cream.

Yelp
Picked up the limited edition pina colada flavor here. This review is more so for the flavor and not the service/ the establishment. Service was quick and friendly. However the flavor of this ice cream lacked in my opinion. The flavor was very faint and almost was like plain vanilla with a few pineapple pieces thrown in. Which is surprising to me because I love a lot of their other flavors!
google avatar

Oscar L.

Yelp
Highly recommend the honeycomb ice cream here! It's not overly sweet, but definitely has a nice honey taste. Service is very quick and they let you try out their different flavors. There's a bit of seating inside (maybe around 5-6 people) and some spots outside as well (around 5-6 people). Overall, a small store.
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
This ice cream is good but geez - ice cream these days are so expensive! Also not much seating area here (except like 4 seats total, two seats at each window), so be mindful this is probably a grab-and-go situation. They allow you to sample flavors here.

Yelp
This place will make every person in your party happy. Enjoying ice cream with vegan friends? Plenty of options to choose from. Have that one friend who always gets the wackiest flavor on the menu? The earl grey something or other is probably right up her alley. Bringing a group who wants their go-to cookies and cream order that they haven't strayed from since they were 9? Van Leeuwen has them more than covered. This is a busy little location situated close to Washington Square Spot, and I can confirm the walk from here to a park bench will not melt your ice cream very much if you decide to pack it up to go. As with many popular spots in the area prepare yourself for a line, especially if you're here on a weekend or super nice day (we were here during both). That said, all the ice cream here is delicious and there are no wrong choices. The stand out to me this time around was, surprisingly enough, good old cookies and cream ice cream. It tastes like they add something other than oreos to the mix, but in a good way. Prepare your wallet to also take a hit if you decide to stop in here, but if you're eating out in the West Village then you probably already know.

Yelp
I am not one to have ice cream more than a few times a year although if I'm going to indulge I want something different. This was Van Leeuwen started as a food truck in New York City in 2008 and now have a successful chain. They have very different flavors, offer vegan ice cream, lots of different toppings, the staff were very friendly, accommodating, and honest. Very clean, has built a great brand and I wood eat this over, Carvel, Baskin Robbins, Ben and Jerry's any day. For example when I asked about the vegan whipped cream topping Eli the person behind the counter offered me a sample as he said I might not like it because it tasted like coconut. It actually did although it tasted good, just not what I wanted for my sundae. We had a sundae an ice cream sandwich which is "sandwiched" between two cookies and a simple scoop of ice cream with a topping. Great flavor, authentic taste and very filling. This was a really nice experience and I would highly recommend them.

Yelp
Always a great spot. Been to a few in the city and we always come back for honey comb. Another favorite is the churro and fudge. One year there was a peanut butter and jelly flavor, now it's Pb and chocolate. The mixed flavors get a little too frozen. The cookies are also just ok. It's a reliable chain but sometimes I worry it will become the carvel of the city. It's a staple for vegan ice cream and I love the to go pints. I need to come back for a milkshake! Waiting for like a wafer and fruity mix, flavored cones, more ube. So many new directions, or extra toppings idk. It's stiff competition in NYC.

Yelp
Came to van Leeuwen for a post hh sweet treat and I was so excited that they have their fall flavors now! I tried the pumpkin pie, cranberry crumble, and sweet potato marshmallow pie flavor and they were all amazing. I'm a mashed sweet potato with marshmallow girlie at heart though so I had to get that as my chosen scoop. Considering it was $6.50 for a "kids scoop" I would say it's a little pricy for what you get, but I guess you can sample as much as you want which is pretty nice. Service was helpful and friendly. And the inside of the shop was clean. My friends and I just enjoyed our scoops outside the shop and it was fine. Overall, a solid ice cream place, good for dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten free etc), but you definitely pay for it.

Yelp
DELICIOUS gluten free options!!!! Hard to make a decision...great choices!! Great staff and great location in west village!!! Thank you!

Yelp
If you can believe it or not... I heard about these shops from the Today show. I am not sure why it stood out so much, but I added it to my food bucket list.... having no idea that I would actually drive by one of their locations later on that day! We visited after a dinner at about 11 at night.. I believe they close at 12. We were pleasantly accommodated with sampling and questions... I chose the earl grey due to it standing out on the show... and I was NOT disappointed. It was delicious. The mouth feel was just as it should be... quality beyond belief. Not too sweet.. the most perfect melt. The only thing is that, man, is it expensive! And the portions are definitely not what you'd hope for. But, I believe that it is worth a trip for the quality over quantity.

Yelp
This was a cute little spot ! The colors of the ice cream shop give you instant joy, you're greeted with yummy smells when walking through the door. You're able to taste any and all ice creams before buying. My group tried a few flavors. Only two people purchased but the cashier was very nice and helpful. Definitely a sweet spot to check out

Yelp
Van Leeuwen on West 10th is very close to Washington Square and the NYU campus. My friend Charlie and I always have to hang out in this neighborhood when he visits me. We can't pass by without going in for a scoop. My Favorite is Peanut Butter Chip. Anything with peanut butter is good. I really need to try some other flavors but I eat ice cream sparingly and preferably in the Summer. They have new flavors all the time. I'm highly recommending Van Leeuwen. This location is handy for me when I'm in this neighborhood. I find the employees and service to be consistent at the various locations. They're knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is clean and bright making the experience cheerful. The ice cream is well worth the price.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream with great service! The cookie dough and peanut butter flavors were insane. The ingredients are such high quality - you can taste the difference. It was so good!!
google avatar

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
One of my favourite ice cream spots in NYC! You can also get their tubs of ice cream at some grocery stores or have them delivered, though those are typically a bit harder. Stopped by after a heavy dinner and the Honeycomb flavor was a great refresher. It's very light and fluffy with swirls of honey throughout. I didn't feel any honeycomb itself, which I prefer since it's a bit too waxy for my liking, but just a heads up if that's what you're looking for.
google avatar

Yelp
This was review-worthy, so enough said. Not to be dramatic, but the peanut butter brownie honeycomb ice cream changed my life.

Yelp
I started an account just to share what happened tonight - around 8:30/8:45 pm tonight a group of 3 women cut a line at this ice cream shop that took about 25 min to get to the front of. When I said something about not being fair to the others waiting in line (and they cut in after me), they said one was an owner and the other two started calling me names and yelling at me. If one was the owner, why cut in line? Seems to be a bad business practice and doesn't inspire loyalty - I've been a west village homeowner, board member and member of a few neighborhood initiatives since 2009 and I won't ever frequent this place again or recommend the shop or brand to my neighbors and friends. Thankfully I had friends on speed dial who could hear everything and back this up. I felt bad for the employees if this person was an owner as they are put in a bad spot - the two employees working were nice and embarrassed by what happened. Before this incident, folks like me were happy to stay in a long line without complaints - maybe it's too much to expect others to adhere to fairness or to stand up for others but being dressed down for saying the right thing was not how I wanted to spend part of my Sunday night.

Yelp
Went to the food truck over the Hudson Yards. I've never heard of it, but the fact that it was vegan ice cream caught my eye. I asked the server which was a popular one (as a first-timer) and she recommended the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough which is one of my favorite flavors. It was good. Not particularly earth-shattering but I thought it was tasty. It has this underlying flavor that I was kinda throwing me off. And for a scoop that small for $6 I'm not sure if I'd get again, and that's saying a lot coming from a person who literally loves ice cream. The flavors though are pretty creative and I wish I could've sampled them! As a person who's also lactose I appreciate the fact that this is even a chain, so if I want to I can come back to other stores!

Yelp
This location is small but efficient. There are many workers working quickly so even if there is a line (there always is a line....but do not fret you will be serviced quickly ) it has amazing unique flavors that you cannot find anywhere else. I love the earl grey flavor it has a real strong tea flavor. Also I had the berry cheesecake flavor which was so rich and amazing . Also I have to shoutout the selection and taste of the vegan flavors which I feel are comparable to their non-vegan flavors which I feel is a feat that should be noted. Every flavor is noteworthy in its own way and I cannot wait to try them all...... and you should too!!

Yelp
Two days ago on a hot day, I decided to get some ice cream while waiting for the M20 bus. I paid $12 for two scoops on a cone, but the scoops were super tiny, as shown in the picture. Even though the girl behind the counter was scooping for a while, it seemed like she was taking more ice cream out than she was putting on my cone. Plus, they made me pay even before my ice cream was fully scooped. I definitely won't go back there again and I'd tell anyone to avoid it. Instead, go to Anita Gelato if you're in New York. Their ice cream is better, it's cheaper, they give you a decent amount, and the staff is way nicer.

Yelp
make the espresso flavor forever please.....it was insane. so good. this shit melted so fast tho lmao and in the heatwave...it did in fact drip on our (speed) walk back to the apartment but who cares!! still tasted amazing
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best vegan ice-cream options in nyc! Let me preface by saying I'm not vegan and I love full-dairy icecream but I still choose their vegan options here because they taste too good. I usually get their earl grey which is also the best, but this time I tried their seasonal strawberry shortcake. The workers were all very generous with the servings and accommodating when I wanted to try out different flavors. This one was a little to sweet for my taste so I think I still prefer the earl grey but it was worth the try! I also recommend getting the sugar cone on the side of the cup which comes with no extra fee and is too good to skip. It's about 6.5$ per person which is honestly expected for nyc! Overall would recommend!
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
This is a walk up tiny ice cream spot with a large selection of deliciousness. I had mint chip on an ordinary sugar cone. The ice cream was rich and creamy and the chocolate was lucious.
google avatar

Dave L.

Yelp
This ice cream is fantastic. I'm going to write about it. And I'm going to break it up in small lines like this. Needlessly. Because that's what good social media posters do these days. Force an elipsis click. Make your reader scroll. AND HAVE ONE SENTENCE IN ALL CAPS FOR EMPHASIS LIKE THIS And end with a positive quote broken up word by word. Never. Give. Up. On. Ice. Cream.

Yelp
In a nutshell: Nothing like a Sunday treat with Vegan options other than basic sorbets!!! THE BAD Depending on the day and time you might find a line that goes around the block, and I don't know you but, I normally don't do lines let alone in 30F weather! They may offer an option to place the order before stepping into the shop and have it ready to pick it up, but since it's a narrow space it might be confusing if given the option, of where to pick it up. THE GOOD Great location in West Village, if you want to explore restaurants, perhaps check out a jazz club, or neighborhood bar, they are all within walking distance from each other. The shop is well lit and glad they have seating outside, even if rarely empty (except when it's freezing outside), it's a welcoming establishment. Although they do not have sugar-free options with their Vegan - that would be TOO PERFECT I GUESS - assortment, they have several options including seasonal flavors which sometimes are forgotten by traditional ice cream brands that offer a Vegan range. THE BEST Having more than one option, that is NOT A SORBET, it's an ABSOLUTE WIN for Vegans. Like seriously, having Vegan ice cream or gelato texture with other options other than basic vanilla or synthetic flavored-milk chocolate flavor gives me hope for humanity, especially in indifferent NYC. I wish I could have more than 3 scoops because I wanted to enjoy more of each flavor. The caramel flavor is spot on, with a hint of the coconut base but less noticeable in the chocolate flavors. Do not get fooled by the description of the ice cream, like something that you think is going to be 100% chocolate but turns out not to be, ask for a sample (advice I will follow myself next time) The texture of the ice cream is perfect, it is not overly frozen, you can enjoy it right away, and is intended to, not like overly frozen ice cream where you lose the flavor because it numbs your palette. #Vegan SEAL OF DELICIOUSNESS approved!

Yelp
The ice cream is fantastic and Isa from the wayverly street location she is amazing, great customer service

Yelp
All I have to say is their HoneyComb ice cream!!! Hands down my favorite! So amazing. And they now also accept cash for all the tourists

Yelp
Van Leeuwen ice cream is a must try for any ice cream lover. I recently had the pleasure of trying their Mini Chocolate Lovers Sundae and was blown away by the quality of the ingredients and the taste. The ice cream is made in small batches using local grass fed milk and cream, pure cane sugar, and organic egg yolks, which are all top quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite. The mini scoop of chocolate ice cream was rich and creamy, with a deep chocolate flavor that was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Coffee ice cream has intense coffee flavor that is not overpowering. It has a balanced sweetness, which makes it perfect for coffee lovers who enjoy a little bit of sweetness in their coffee. Van Leeuwen also offers a vegan option for those who prefer non dairy ice cream, which is made with cashew milk and coconut cream. This is a great option for those with dietary restrictions or anyone who wants to enjoy delicious ice cream without the dairy. I was also impressed with the fast service at Van Leeuwen. Despite the long line, I received my order promptly and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
The ice cream was some of the best I have ever had, the service was amazing as well, the lady was very nice ! The store was very cool and I liked the small chairs facing out the window. Perfect for people watching

Lily F.

Yelp
Person at counter was rude and told me that I had to check the allergens to see if I could get the ice cream I wanted and then we doing that he let a customer go in front of me and then they had to check allergies and he just let them check them in the front of the line and they took like 20 minutes. Bad service.

Yelp
On a hot day I was craving some ice cream and this Van Leeuwen location did not disappoint! Well actually they ran out of the waffle cones (assuming everyone had the same idea going here that day) but I think the workers made up for it by scooping two full scoops into my cone! They were super friendly too and even with two rowdy little kids that were excited for ice cream running everywhere in the store the workers kept the positive vibes up which made it feel relaxing for non-child loving humans to wait for their ice cream!

Jake J.

Yelp
This was the perfect ice cream spot for the hot day I visited here. There are a lot of unique flavors, although be sure to try the more eccentric options before ordering - there was a girl ahead of me who ordered a french fry flavor that did not enjoy it very much. I tried it myself, and I have to agree - it was like a cold, soggy potato. I got a seasonable cookie crunch flavor, and it was wonderful. The price was also very reasonable for the Greenwich Village, and the staff were both friendly and speedy. With so many options available in the neighborhood, I had heard good things about this NYC chain for a while, and I was glad I picked here for an afternoon sweet treat.
google avatar

Seanniece B.

Yelp
I really loved it. Shop - the shop really stands out amost the block. It's veeery very brightly painted in "happy" colors. Very cute interior. Very small inside. Service - the staff were great. Very helpful and friendly. They let us get samples before testing it out. I really loved that there were dairy free options. The caramel cookie was really delightful. Definitely something to write home out. The cookie bits were made of oats. I was very pleased. The only downfall with many dairy free flavors and shops is that almost everything had chocolate in it. So if you're allergic, like myself, there were only 2 options and one was sold out. Luckily, the one option was really good.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty hard to go wrong with Van Leeuwens. I frequently buy their pints at the grocery store, but when I can get a fresh scoop it's even better. So rich and creamy and a great variety of flavors, including many that accommodate various dietary restrictions.
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
Great place. Fun ice cream flavors (but $ - single scoop was like $6 with no toppings) Line moves fast on busy days. Be ready before you enter. A few tables inside and benches outside. Now if they only had a garbage can...

Yelp
WELCOE TO THE WEST VILLAGE! my wife and I just discovered this place down our street. divine.
google avatar

Arianne M.

Yelp
I am so happy that I decided to try this place out! They had many selections available. Once I entered, I was quickly greeted. The lady was super nice and was helpful. I didn't know what was best, so she recommended their honeycomb. It was booommmbbbb! I went on a Tuesday and they had a special: 1 topping FREE!
google avatar

Channing M.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Came in every night while I was in New York and there was a quick moving line at all hours... Which means this place is amazing!!! The icecream was so creamy dreamy and the flavors were marvelous. The mouth feel was divine and the scoops grand! My favorite flavors were: chocolate fudge brownie, mint chip, cookies n cream, salted caramel, honeycomb. They have vegan and gluten free options so all can indulge. If a flavor is sold out chances are there is a pint in the freezer that you can take home with you! Fun out of the box flavors were: Earl grey and blueberry pie If you're in the area (or not in the area but want icecream) hop in a cab or stroll over for some mouthwatering deliciousness! And if there's a line (which there likely will be) wait! It's quick and worth it!

Yelp
This ice cream was singlehandedly responsible for the inspiration of my business. As an entrepreneur I was struck by the delicious taste and creamy texture of this ice cream, and I knew that I had to bring it to more people. I was so inspired by this ice cream that I decided to start my own business, dedicated to creating and selling high-quality, artisanal ice cream to customers all over the world. And so, with hard work and determination, my ice cream business was born. Since starting my ice cream business, I have been fortunate enough to try many different flavors and variations of ice cream. However, the flavor that inspired me to start my business remains one of my all-time favorites. The creamy texture and rich, bold flavor never fails to satisfy my cravings. I am constantly amazed by the versatility of this ice cream and the endless flavor combinations that can be created. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this amazing ice cream with others and bring joy to their taste buds. My business has been a success thanks to the inspiration that this ice cream provided, and I look forward to continuing to create and innovate in the world of ice cream for years to come. One of the things that sets my ice cream business apart from others is the commitment to using high-quality, fresh ingredients. I believe that using the best ingredients is crucial to creating the best-tasting ice cream. That's why I source all of my ingredients from local farms and producers whenever possible, and I make all of my ice cream from scratch in small batches to ensure that each and every scoop is as fresh and delicious as possible. I have received many positive reviews and feedback from customers who have tried my ice cream, and I am grateful for their support. I am constantly amazed by the power of a simple scoop of ice cream to bring people together and create memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for supporting my ice cream business and for allowing me to share my passion for delicious, creamy, handcrafted ice cream with you. In addition to my commitment to using the best ingredients and creating small batches of ice cream, I also take pride in offering a wide variety of flavors to suit different tastes and preferences. From classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla to more unique and innovative options like lavender honey and salted caramel, there is something for everyone in my selection. I am always experimenting with new flavor combinations and techniques to create the most delicious and memorable ice cream experiences for my customers. I also believe in the importance of giving back to my community and making a positive impact on the world. That's why I use eco-friendly packaging and support local charitable causes with a portion of my profits. I am grateful for the opportunity to use my business to make a difference and bring a little bit of happiness and joy to those around me through the magic of ice cream. Thank you for supporting my business and allowing me to share my passion for ice cream with you. I hope that you will continue to enjoy my ice cream and all of the delicious flavors that I have to offer.

Yelp
Interesting flavors but man this store is small! They offer vegan and gluten free options too. Came here with some friends for the first time, They offer scoops in cones, bowls and even shakes. I got the earl grey shake, it was okay. Tasted like cereal. I don't think I'll be coming back, it felt a little pricey. Worth a try but not the best I've had. Recommendation: you're better off eating your ice cream outside. Even on a cold day, this place is packed. The line was out the door and this was 9:30pm on a 10'degree night.
google avatar

Celeste W.

Yelp
Definitely recommend this place! It is a random ice cream place we found while wandering west village. It is a very nice corner store. The ice cream choice is handful, the ice cream is very creamy and flavorful. Definitely stop by here if you want some nice ice cream!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute ice cream shop in the village excellent selection of flavors and they seem to always be busy definitely come try this place

Yelp
Tight spot, but folks waiting in line know how to snake in and not ask for a million tastes. The line moves pretty fast. VL always has such creative flavors, and that includes for both regular and vegan flavors. It's always so hard to choose. I tasted the Planet Earth, which was so original (see my pic), but I didn't love the texture. So I went with strawberry shortcake, which had a lot of chunks and jamminess. Really dug it. Vegan scoops are 25¢ more per scoop. Guy behind the counter seemed mildly exasperated, but he and his colleague kept the line going efficiently. Cash free payment only - though, as my friend noted - they're happy to takes tips in cash.
google avatar

Paige O.

Yelp
This ice cream was great. Yes, I waited in line for like 20 minutes at like midnight to get inside and get my ice cream, but I am glad I did. The flavors of ice cream here are unlike what you will find anywhere else. I got the black sesame chocolate cake ice cream. Wow this flavor was so so so complex. It was some of the most unique and delicious ice cream I have had. It was so rich in flavor, I would not have been able to finish much more than my one scoop of ice cream. My friend got their royal wedding ice cream and loved it. It was very flavorful and was sweet. I look forward to coming back here and trying some of their other unique flavors. The prices can be a little much, but it is worth the money to try some flavors you haven't before!

Yelp
Cute little ice cream shop! Van Leeuwen is a chain, but it felt like a neighborhood gem. After dinner, I shared the hot chocolate float with vegan chocolate cookie dough ice cream and vegan coconut whipped cream on top. It's so yummy! The hot chocolate is really hot though, so your ice cream is basically soup in like 10 seconds, but it's still fun to sip!

Sejal V.

Yelp
Earl grey flavor so nice and strong. Blueberry shortbread was amazing and full of blueberry and shortbread pieces. Honeycomb was also good a little too sweet for me but my sister loved it. Dark chocolate brownie fudge was nicely balanced with bitter chocolate and sweetness
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
I had no idea this was a famous place! Stop by there because I searched for an ice cream place that also had a vegan option. It did not disappoint!! Tried both vegan flavors. Cookies n cream caramel swirl and raspberry sorbet. The cookies and cream were wayyy too sweet for my taste (even though I asked the staff for a less sweet flavor but might be just me since I'm not used to sugary stuffs) amazing texture, creamy yet didn't feel heavy, I believe it was a cashew milk based. The sorbet was very refreshing, this one was less sweet than the cookies n cream which is nice. A bit high prices but its NYC I guess. Small place only a few seats inside and a bit more in the front.

The store is pretty cute and small, but it's just your average ice cream. There's nothing much out of the ordinary about the flavors, as you get your typical vanilla, coffee, and mint flavors. The only unique part was that they offered vegan flavors. They allow you to sample the ice cream, and it was through this that I noticed how ridiculously sweet every one of their flavors were. I eventually opted for the Planet Earth because it looked pretty with the blue and green colors. Plus it was vegan! A scoop in a regular sugar cone was around $6 which is slightly overpriced, but forgiven given the scoop and cone size. The ice cream was for sure, creamy and smooth! However, I barely remember what the blue ice cream tasted like as the green cake part completely threw me off. The cake bits and ice cream did not go well together, due to the cake's weird crumbly texture and overly sweet taste. I sadly had to remove those huge chunks. I may have picked the wrong ice cream flavor. But, even still, unless I'm in the area, I would not go back as the ice cream was too sweet and just average for the price.
