Vanshow Sushi - Review - Torrance - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The people behind sushi conveyor belt spot Waka Sakura have opened another supermarket-adjacent sushi spot, this time attached to Torrance’s new Tokyo Central Market. Called Vanshow Sushi, this sushi bar ditches the conveyor belt setup for table service but still offers a mix of traditional nigiri and sauce-drizzled rolls. Two pieces of nigiri range from $6 to $10, with specialty rolls (the busy ones dressed with ponzu, eel sauce, and crispy toppings) starting at $18. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Sylvio Martins

Vanshow Opens With Quality Sushi Inside the Tokyo Central Market in Torrance | Eater LA

"Opened in the new Tokyo Central Market on December 14, crowds descended on the Japanese grocery store the weekend after, and dozens of Japanese flower arrangements from clients of Tokyo Central were displayed outside the brick building that was once a Stein Mart clothing store to mark the opening. The sushi restaurant comes from Waka Sakura — the well-appointed conveyor-belt sushi restaurant that opened in March 2024 at the Gardena Tokyo Central on Artesia Boulevard — and, like Waka Sakura, is operated under the same parent company, Tokyo Central Market’s Marukai Corporation. Unlike Waka Sakura, this location is a full-service operation with an extensive à la carte menu, reservations, and, eventually, wide sake and beer options once the alcohol license comes through. It offers a value-oriented sushi menu with heavily seasoned Edomae-style rice and fish presented on more substantial ceramic plates: nigiri start at $6 for two pieces and rise to $10 for two specialty pieces; standard rolls like the California start at $10; specialty rolls — lemon-topped spicy tuna and avocado rolls, rainbow rolls, crab dynamite rolls with soy paper, and sea bream with pink sea salt — cost between $18 and $20 and are prepared near the level of places like Sushi Roku or even Nobu at a fraction of the cost. There are also carpaccio presentations such as scallop aji amarillo with ponzu and yellowtail ponzu with serrano peppers that wouldn’t feel out of place at Matsuhisa or Uchi. The interior is utilitarian, with almost no outside light, functional booths and tables, and a straightforward sushi bar where solo diners can watch chefs in action — more of a weekday-with-the-family experience than a weekend date night — and it mirrors the typical mid-range sushi spots like Manten Sushi Marunouchi found in Tokyo office buildings and malls. Like Waka Sakura, the operation executes its menu at a high level for this price point, and the service is described as stellar. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m." - Matthew Kang

Google
This is a beautiful new sushi spot next door to Tokyo Central in the center with Best Buy. The real standout here is the quality of the buttery smooth fish. The freshness and quality here are absolutely top notch. The service is attentive and our server gave us some outstanding recommendations. The decor is sleek and modern but still pretty casual. The prices are very good for the quality of the fish and the sushi has a really nice ratio of large fish to less rice.. so you don't feel like you ate pounds of rice.. overall the food and service here were great. The matcha green tea on ice was really the best ice tea we can recall. Strong 5 stars on this great new sushi spot in south Torrance.

Google
We came here hungry, on a whim, thanks to an internet search and some social media recommendations- also because they were open late enough to possibly accommodate us. We were worried that they would be too crowded to take us but we really lucked out as they weren't that busy as it was close to closing. I love that it was so convenient, ample parking, new and very clean. I loved the salmon skin salad and the Rolling Hills Roll. The Wagyu with Teriyaki and the wagyu with salt sauce were popular with the kids as were the mochi ice cream. The hand rolls were also really delicious. Our table also enjoyed the miso soup. We definitely will be back!

Google
Got to go with my boyfriend and his family before they officially opened! The food was great, we got to try a little bit of everything and my boyfriend is talking about already going again. Service was great as well. I enjoyed the beef tartar the scallop tempura was AMAZING and I really like the crab dynamite roll. Overall 5/5 and would definitely come back.

Google
First time here, and I'm definitely going back. Went with the omekase. WOW!!! Everything was amazing. Things you normally get that are the same at every place, Toro, scallops, salmon, etc are prepared with precision and their added flair. I sat at the bar and watched them place the caviar egg by egg practically. The finishing touches are unique. Highly recommend visiting.

Google
Omg, in the 7 years I've lived in the southbay I haven't found a gourmet restaurant. Classic Japanese, yes. Izakaya all day long, but quality, high quality unusual ingredients. This is a gourmet sushi restaurant, and yet Nigeria yellow tail is $6. If you are a foodie, and can't live without sushi, give this place a try. It's only been open since December, but it's my new favorite!

Google
Absolutely bonkers to me that they’d turn down $60+ orders repeatedly, simply because they don’t accept phone orders. Sushi is decent but if I’m already driving and want to pick up dinner on my way home I don’t want to pull over to place a door dash order. Wild that you continue to turn down business, but I guess I’ll continue to patronize other restaurants while you maintain this rule.

Google
Good AUTHENTIC Japanese food! Clean food! Clean inside! Well worth the price! The service staff is phenomenal! Would highly recommend!

Google
I would say the fish quality was good, the prices fair, but nothing to write home about taste-wise. Service was very attentive and friendly.

Yelp
Saw this across the way when I was trying out the ramen place. Located inside the the Tokyo central in Torrance is this newly opened sushi place. Service was friendly and very attentive! They do offer both booth and bar seating. The food was good! The shrimp tempura in the udon was nicely fried not super oily. I do recommend eating it quickly tho because it can get soggy if you leave it in the broth for too long . I think overall the sushi roll was the highlight. Look at the vibrant colors! The fish was very fresh and flavorful! I would come back next time to try more of their rolls and seafood options! Didn't have an issue with finding parking on weekdays during lunch time.

Yelp
This place is outstanding. The quality of the sushi is amazing. I got the lunch special and usually the specials are so-so at places but not this place. Albacore with garlic on top, seared chu-toro, tamago, and a miso soup. We got the kids a chicken teriyaki dish and they gobbled it up. I also got an umeshisho cut roll and my husband and daughter loved the uni. Service was great - the waitress was so sweet but didn't speak much English. Thankfully my husband speaks some Japanese. The price point is pretty reasonable for the quality of the sushi. Unfortunately they don't have any high chairs, but they do have booster seats. If you have a baby, this place would be a little tricky. Their green tea is really good quality. Definitely get it. It's right next to Tokyo Central, which is a prime location and we walked over for some pocky :).

Yelp
We initially wanted to check out the fairly new Tokyo Central in Torrance for lunch, but were disappointed with the food options. We were curious about Vanshow Sushi & Bar, which is a separate restaurant that's connected to Tokyo Central. Vanshow closes from 3pm to 5pm everyday and we were lucky to catch them for lunch just before they closed. Service from the moment we entered was super friendly and attentive. We were offered a seat at the bar, but we chose one of the large booths instead. I started with the miso soup which was filled with wakame and tofu and added the tuna and salmon hand roll. The hand rolls were generously filled and fresh. My husband tried the Dragon Roll, a california roll topped with eel, avocado, and eel sauce. He also ordered the Crab Dynamite Roll, which included avocado, soy wrap, real crab, miso mayo, tempura flakes, and eel sauce. He absolutely loved them and favored the Dragon roll out of the two. We're also loving the soy wrap which seems to be served more frequently at sushi spots. Overall, worth a visit. Delicious sushi with outstanding customer service and you get to shop at Tokyo Central when you're done eating.

Yelp
Vanshow Sushi in Torrance (located on the right side, inside of Tokyo Central) is a solid local spot with fresh fish and friendly staff. The staff was very informative and let me know that there was a special for something similar to the Chirashi that I was about to order, but the special also came with a salad and miso soup. This was super helpful. I also ordered single pieces of unagi sushi and ikura sushi, which were around $4.50 each. The quality is definitely there, but I wish the space had a bit more character and warmth. Honestly, I kept thinking how great it would be if they modeled the setup more like Waka Sakura inside Tokyo Central in Gardena -- with a conveyor belt. I think it would be more inviting for families since kids love the conveyor belts at sushi restaurants. Also, the price of the sushi is a bit on the high-end, unless you get a combo or their lunch specials...but, like I said, the quality is there, so I guess you get what you pay for. Still, if you're nearby and craving sushi, it's worth a visit!

Yelp
We are so bummed to learn that Vanshow will be closing for good on September 30th. We will have to search for a new sushi restaurant that is open on Saturdays for lunch. We tried the Suntory draft beer, Vanshow dip, and southbay roll for the first time. We also got our usual sunomono salad, chicken karaage, and rainbow roll. Everything was delicious. Thank you to the staff for always great service.

Yelp
This is a nice addition to the SouthBay Sushi places. It's small and not that busy when a friend and I tried this place. There's booth, table, or bar to sit, we opted for a booth. Food was fresh and service is ok. I'll try more the other items in their menu so I can bump the stars.
google avatar

Randi L.

Yelp
Yes yes and YES. The sushi here is good sushi! With plenty of sushi spots to choose from in the South Bay, very few are worth going to. This place is worth it. I was hesitant to visit after reading that it's connected to a supermarket. I want the restaurant vibe. After visiting, I learned that it isn't necessarily connected. This place is next door to Tokyo Central with its own outdoor entrance. Secondly, the seating is comfortable. The staff here are friendly and nice. They have a big menu to choose from. You can sit at the sushi bar, booth, or table. They also offer lunch specials. Keep in mind they do close mid day and re open after a couple of hours. I will be back! If you are picky with sushi especially the quality of fish, this is a place to try. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Vanshow is located inside the Tokyo Central on PCH and is created by the same owners as Waka Sakura (conveyor belt sushi place in Tokyo Central Gardena). After having tried Waka Sakura which has super fresh and tasty sushi, I was stoked to try Vanshow, but overall thought it to be disappointing. It's kind of dark in there which is strange but they have lots of seating and big booths (unlike Waka Sakura which is very tight spacing and small booths...), but the sushi doesn't seem as fresh, the seasoning/preparation isn't as good but the pricing is double/triple for some reason....
google avatar

Sam R.

Yelp
Sad that they are closing at the end of September (two days) so if you haven't gone in you have to hurry. I'll be there! See ya.

Yelp
The good: I tried Ikura gunkan, shrimp tempura udon (small bowl), Japanese sea bream and pink salt roll, deep fried spicy tuna topped spicy tuna roll, assorted tempura , Italian salmon finger lime roll, Vanshow roll ($20, has uni) and the sunset lemon and tuna roll. Most rolls were $18. This was the fastest I've ever received made-to-order sushi! I was so impressed by how fast the rolls came out. The rolls were fresh. I liked how the deep fried roll wasn't fried batter but instead just a fried regular roll so the result was like a crispy rice. It was my favorite roll. The Vanshow roll was decadent and came out first with big chunks of uni. The citrus on the rolls were refreshing and bright. Many of the rolls were unique and offered different combos I haven't seen in other specialty rolls at other sushi spots. The bathrooms were clean and had a baby changing pad. The servers were nice. The bad: There's no outdoor dining. The rolls are on the smaller side so it's pricey but they were high quality. They don't have high chairs but they do have a booster. They don't have their liquor license yet. The interesting: They're located inside the Japanese market and the entrance is also within the market. The decor is minimal, modern and sleek. The atmosphere is sophisticated and casual. They're operated by the same group that has the conveyor restaurant in Gardena's Tokyo Central.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised how good the food was. The portions were just right, not over the top. It was tasty. The service was excellent. I liked the atmosphere in the restaurant. It was light and clean. We will be coming back.

Yelp
Vanshow Sushi & Bar is a new Japanese restaurant inside the new Tokyo Central on PCH. This restaurant is indoor seating only with booths, a bar and a few smaller tables. The servers were fast with service. There is free parking in the giant lot in front of the place. The food was good, but left me still hungry. I got the chirashi bowl ($28) which had various types of tuna, eel, tamago, salmon, sea bream fish on top of waka's infamous delicious rice. The bowl tasted good but was too small, especially for the price. I wish it was bigger because I still wanted more food after eating it.
google avatar

Emily N.

Yelp
This sushi spot is inside the new Tokyo Central on PCH and Hawthorne, and it's related to their sister restaurant, Waka Sakura, over at Gardena Tokyo Central. The food itself was really good, but the service kind of ruined the experience. Service was slow and they messed up our order a few times. The assorted tempura came out instead of the vegetable tempura, and we got the wrong sashimi bowl. I wish they had a lunch special because $45 per person, it didn't feel worth it, especially since we left still feeling a little hungry. Honestly, I like their sister restaurant better. This place is good and the food quality is solid, but the service needs some improvement before we give this place a try again.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday at opening for lunch; not very busy at this time. Ordered the sushi lunch special and it was fantastic. Very high fish quality. Real wasabi from Japan. Comes with miso soup. It doesn't look like a lot of food but it was very filling for me. Service was also fantastic - Mayumi was so polite and helpful with menu explanations. Would come back again:)
google avatar

Yelp
Shhhhh don't tell them they're undercharging for quality cuts! The Combo A is an absolute steal for lunch, and it's a great way to try their signature nigiri and their best roll. You get great pieces of tuna, fresh salmon, a lovely kanpachi, etc. AND you get half a South Bay Roll, which is actually the best roll I've had in the South Bay. If I were the South Bay, I'd be proud to be represented by this roll! The construction is elaborate because so much thought went into every element, and it really has the perfect balance of every flavor and texture. There's a dine-in promo for free Miso Soup as well. Definitely take advantage. Other rolls are also great: Japanese Sea Bream & Pink Salt Roll is simple but so pretty. The Italian Salmon Finger Lime Roll is quite creative, though I can't quite get behind the Italian dressing and balsamic. The Vanshow Roll is a straight-up splurge, but the price is fair for the luxury of bluefin topped with uni and tobiko. Wagyu Beef is great too. It doesn't have to be fancy - the regular nigiri is just as good. Salmon, Bluefin Tuna, Japanese Kanpachi, Scallops, Japanese Sea Bream...can't go wrong. Carpaccio is great if you're not consuming carbs. Tried the Yellowtail Ponzu, and I'm convinced they don't serve a single bad bite. They even use real wasabi. Don't be fooled by the off-supermarket location, Vanshow is quality, and it just might be the South Bay's best at this price point. They're the same people who made Waka Sakura, but I definitely prefer Vanshow.

Yelp
I came here for lunch and was able to take advantage of the February lunch menu. I ordered Vanshow sushi combo A which was prefect for me. Service was nice and quick. I was in and out... I dined in but I was hungry so I ate pretty fast Ambiance was clean, plenty of seating and all the staff were super nice and friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal experience! This sushi restaurant has officially become one of my top favorites. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. every bite was a treat. From the classic rolls to the chef's specials, everything was perfection. But what really stood out was the customer service. The staff was so warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel right at home and took the time to ensure everything was just right. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their service. If you're a sushi lover (or even just sushi-curious), this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back.. and bringing friends!

Yelp
Vanshow is a newly opened sushi restaurant inside the brand new Tokyo Central Market in Torrance. They recommended the lunch special combo A. You'll get a plate of 5 pieces of nigiri and a cut sushi roll. Everything I tried was delicious including the South Bay Roll. I am not typically a roll person, but enjoyed this one. Sushi combo A: $23.99 South Bay Roll - albacore, cucumber, yellowtail, serrano pepper, cilantro, avocado, crispy onions, ponzu, garlic oil Nigiri - blue fin tuna with whole grain mustard and olive, medium fatty tuna, kanpachi with shio koji and dry miso, salmon with tomato powder and truffle oil, tamago Clam miso soup If you're looking for bang-for-your-buck sushi, either go to the grocery store and eat in the food court. If you would like a sit down restaurant experience, head to Vanshow in Torrance. Plenty of parking in the shopping center and friendly, attentive service.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by this new sushi bar on a Friday afternoon before my kickboxing class, and loved it! Sitting at the counter, I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Yama and Chef Yama! They were both friendly and prepared a delicious sushi meal. I had combo A which included miso soup and a delicious plate of different sushi's which were so fresh and delicious . I enjoyed it so much they I ordered 2 more pieces of the bluefin tuna and hamachi which mouth in your mouth! I will definitely be dining again at Vanshow and letting my family and friends know about it!

Yelp
We're big fans of Waka Sakura and figured this would be a good substitute. On a Saturday night, it wasn't busy at all and we were seated right away. They have a lot of the same things as Waka Sakura, but smaller portioned and more expensive. The taste and quality were good, but I don't know that it's worth the up charge. Service was also a little slow, but they're newer so I don't fault them for that.

Yelp
We came to check out the restaurant after Mikuni advertised they were a sister restaurant and adding a lot of their original menu items to this location. All I have to say is that the overall food was a disappointment and did not live up to the quality or taste expectations I have for Mikuni. My first inclination that it wasn't going to be great was the wasabi brought out in these weird little plastic sealed containers that did not look fresh or appetizing. The roll recipes may match but the quality of the food was just not there and ultimately made the taste suffer. The tempura was even inferior to what I expect from a Japanese restaurant. The best way to describe the food is grocery store quality sushi. In addition it took a long time to get our food and they forgot to bring one item we ordered. I will forgive this because it was the first day they were serving the new menu and I suspect this will improve as they become more familiar so I didn't deduct any starts for this. Overall we love Mikuni and will give them one more try in a couple months but unless they change the quality of their product I don't expect to switch from my favorite local place and will save my Mikuni cravings for my trips to Sacramento area.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Went to Vanshow for lunch with a colleague from work. It's just inside the entrance inside the new Tokyo Central supermarket. The vibe is like a fancy diner. The menu had a wide assortment of offerings from udon to sashimi to hand rolls to tempura. We were sat down right away. The service was fast and friendly. If I had to ding them one thing is the timing of the dishes. My hand roll came out before my miso soup. The tempura came out before my colleagues. The tempura was good. My colleague said the sushi was good. I thought the portions were small for the price. Bottom Line- Would I go back? Probably if someone else wanted to go. I'm not sure I would go on my own.

Yelp
Vanshow has been a pleasant surprise and we're so glad it's in our area! We didn't know what to expect from a sushi restaurant in our local Tokyo Central Market, but with it being a sister restaurant of Waka Sakura in Gardena we figured it's worth a shot. There's nothing really fancy about the restaurant - its understated and simplistic, and understandably the location might be a bit odd for some. But we loved everything we had! We've gone twice now since its opening in December and are looking forward to going with friends to try more items. With traditional rolls and sashimi as well as creative specialty rolls and plenty of a la carte options, this place is a win. Some of our faves were the Sea Bream & Pink Salt roll, Dragon roll, and Salmon nigiri with Tomato Powder and Truffle Oil. But the star for us is the Grilled Salmon Belly - best I've ever tried. We found the quality of the fish, rice, and all ingredients superior to Waka Sakura. Looking forward to trying their carpaccio and rice bowl options next time!

Yelp
Came here with my son and daughter-in-law. This was my second time. The service was friendly and welcoming. We got a nice large roomy booth. Everyone agreed the tuna rolls were fresh. Food came out in a timely manner and the tempura was crispy and not greasy. This is one of the few places that includes a scallop in their tempura assortment. A great find for some fresh sushi.
google avatar

Yelp
This spot delivers consistently great sushi and genuinely nice service. I've been here three times with friends. Yes, it's not 'budget' sushi--because quality fish and skilled chefs cost more than grocery store rolls. The prices are fair for fresh, delicious food and a trustworthy experience. I fully trust the team here, from the kitchen to the floor. Highly recommend for those who appreciate real sushi. I've had only their sushi and appetizers like the tempura shrimp and veggies (yum). I haven't tried the udon or bowls yet. The yellowtail ponzu Serrano pepper is maybe my favorite. Albacore crispy onion and the salmon lime almost tie. Depends on your palette. Excellent ingredients and thoughtful preparation. You get what you pay for, and here you get quality and consistency. Server was knowledgeable and genuine I love that it's Clean and welcoming. Thanks!
google avatar

Sydney K.

Yelp
I stopped just try the sushi and see if they had udon. We ordered three things Wakame Udon plain(super small not filling), California Roll NO WHITE RICE LIKE PICTURE IT HAS VINAGER BROWNISH RICE, my mom asked the waitress if they have dry Udon and the waitress came back Wet Udon(my mom was very disappointed and didn't eat her meal). Horrible staff. I paid $43 for 2 udon $10 each(super small) California and something else. I will be going back to Gardena where they have they exact items that we were expecting. Our first and last time.

Yelp
This place is amazing and so close - a much needed surprise for PCH. Great food, incredible service, and all reasonably priced plus it's part of Tokyo Central Market! Highly recommended !

Yelp
Good was great. The rolls tasted amazing. They were very fresh and flavorful. Great customer service staff is mindful. .

Yelp
What went well...Everything!! How have we just now found this gem!!! (And we love sushi) Staff is incredibly kind, laid back atmosphere, food was delicious and FINALLY something a bit more creative, different and somehow fresh AND affordable. Highly recommend the $6 spicy tuna crispy rice and any of the sashimi and nigiri but especially the salmon with tomato powder and truffle oil and yellow tail. Oh and a place that finally sells tempura by the piece :) Vibe was cozy and mellow, we watched Dodgers footage from the 80s and just relaxed. Cute date night. Highly recommend

Yelp
Amazing amazing high quality sushi, you have to come and try the lunch special! It's such a great value! The service at the counter was exceptional with sushi chef Javi taking care of us. The ambience is also really great, nice and clean modern sushi spot in Torrance. Truly what's been missing on this side of town! Will be back to try the Omasake for dinner!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent quality and excellent service. We really enjoyed their nigiri sushi in their omakase dinner as they are dressed more than your regular nigiri The. Old and hot appetizers were excellent as well

Yelp
Food was delicious!! Service was fast and we got at immediately. We were offered a complimentary dish which was also so good. Ambiance was swanky and clean. We will be returning :)

Yelp
I've eaten a lot of sushi over the years, but this place truly stood out--and it all started with something as simple (and rare!) as real wasabi. The moment I took my first bite, I knew I was in for something special. The wasabi wasn't that overpowering, nose-clearing paste you usually find. Instead, it had this fresh, clean heat with a subtle sweetness and complexity that elevated every bite. It paired so perfectly with the sashimi, it honestly changed the way I experience sushi. Speaking of the fish: I got the Bluefin Tuna and Medium Fatty tuna petite bowl and it was delicious! Every cut was fresh, sliced with precision, and melted in the mouth. You can taste the quality here. Service was knowledgeable and attentive, and they clearly take pride in sourcing the best ingredients. If you're someone who appreciates sushi done right--with real wasabi and fish that tastes like it was just pulled from the ocean--this is the place. Can't wait to come back.

Graham W.

Yelp
This place used to be one of my go-to spots, emphasis on used to. Ever since they changed the menu, it's like the soul of the restaurant just evaporated. What replaced it? A sad excuse for "modernized" dishes that feel more like overpriced experiments than real meals. The quality? Straight-up unrecognizable. Whoever is in charge clearly traded flavor and consistency for trend chasing and cost cutting. The portions are smaller, the ingredients are cheaper, and the care that once went into every plate is nowhere to be found. I don't know if it's new ownership, new management, or just a complete loss of standards, but it's genuinely depressing to watch a place fall this far. This isn't a restaurant anymore. It's a cautionary tale. I won't be back. Not even out of curiosity.
google avatar

Julie F.

Yelp
The rainbow roll was nicely presented, very fresh, and delicious. My lunch mates enjoyed their pork ginger udon. Service was very attentive especially since the restaurant wasn't very busy. Ambiance is plain and austere. As the sister restaurant of Waka Sushi in Gardena, I think they are both worth visiting.

Yelp
Very disappinting. Love the food. But no call in and pick up. Otherwise this would be a favorite spot for me and I'm sure the locals in the neighborhood would love it too. By the time I called got denied, drove over, ordered n waited I'm going on 40 min plus for take out. If I had not promised my son I was bringing home for lunch, I wouldn't have followed through. I'll never do this again. Can't afford the wait time at lunch. Please add take out. I'd be here twice a week w an order.

Gabriel S.

Yelp
Decent sashimi and sushi, not so good maki or temaki (one of the latter decidedly awful). More than noisy: deafening! Fair service, affordable prices in general. Meh ambience. For people on a budget or just going for a casual meal, NOT an exponent of high quality Japanese sushi. If you like and respect high quality sushi, this is not your place. But it's affordable, so the price-quality ratio is acceptable.

Yelp
Delicious food, so pretty inside and everyone was extremely friendly! We sat at the bar and enjoyed great quality sushi!

Yelp
I had their pink salt sea bream roll, and it was phenomenal! The staff were friendly. The chefs were happy to please their customers. Although they're located inside tokyo central, they are very much a sit down restaurant. I came here after the gym and wished I'd dressed more appropriately. I am definitely coming back to try more of their menu.

Yelp
The sushi and service at this place was absolutely top tier. Fish was fresh, the details immaculate, and I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh wasabi. The ginger was also amazing (while not something we usually enjoy to this extent hahaha) Overall, 10/10

Yelp
I enjoyed their lunch special sushi a lot. I'll have to circle back to see if I can give it a higher rating with other foods.

Yelp
Yummy sushi! And the Southbay roll was good as well! They patiently waited for our order and food was served quick. The restaurant is simply clean and you will eat sushi with background jazz music. 5 star hotel dining feels.

Yelp
No frills, very decent place. Ambiance is mid but clean. Food is solid and not overpriced. A welcome addition to the neighborhood, have already been here 3 times and will return again. But for take out, you can order only if you're already there waiting in person (no calling in advance), I wish they would at least take phone orders.

Yelp
Excellent addition to the South Bay! Sushi was super fresh and tempura perfectly done. Really enjoyed the experience and looking forward to enjoying a Kirin as soon as they get their license.

Yelp
Went on opening day around 2pm. The employees had zero emotions. Spoke to them in English or Japanese, because I got no response in English, thought she didn't understand so I repeated in Japanese. Same reaction. Both servers were like a robot. None of the servers looked happy, just confused and emotionless. Restaurant was empty and not busy at all. The food was very insignificant, chirashi was tiny. Extremely overpriced for what you get, better off getting sushi to go from the market. Same quality. Unless something changes quick, I don't see this place lasting more than six months.

Yelp
The food is awesome and the service is very nice too! I'm here for lunch by myself and get to watch the chef make my sushi.
