The food was really good and the service was awesome! We sat out on the patio and it was beautiful! Our server, Dani was great with recommendations and making sure we we well taken care of! We can wait to come back soon! We had the trio spread, village salad, fried zucchini, keftedes, paidakia, and a couple of cocktail, it was all so good!

We had such a wonderful dining experience at Meditation Restaurant! The atmosphere was calm, relaxing, and beautifully put together — just like the name suggests. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and beautifully presented. Our server, Nick, was fantastic. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. His recommendations were spot on, and he made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and a peaceful, refreshing vibe. We'll definitely be coming back!

Had a very nice Sunday dinner sitting outside near the river. Our overall favorite was the Caesar salad along with the octopus. I will not order the feta brine chicken again as it was a whole half chicken and just too much food with having appetizers and salad. Hummus was garlicky. We will return. Service was great.

Incredible Experience From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish came out fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. What really made the night unforgettable was Krystal’s amazing service. She was attentive without ever hovering, knew the menu inside and out, and offered great recommendations that we loved. Her positive energy and genuine care turned a good dinner into an exceptional evening. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for excellent food and top-notch hospitality. Thank you, Krystal, for making our visit so memorable!

Google
Must go! The atmosphere is wonderful, decor amazing. And the food was so fresh, like it came from the source. Sadly I didn’t take pics of the food but the roasted beet salad and gyros were on our list and the NA cocktail was really fun. Our server, Brittney, was spot on. She rocks!!!! And was knowledgable about the food and flavors. Can’t wait to eat here and try more! Best part… everything was clean, really clean, great attention to detail.

Google
Service is great but the food is terrible. Definitely not authentic Mediterranean food. Had the trio spread of tzatziki, taramosalata and hummus. Usually humus should be spot on, definitely wasn’t worth trying. The second one is unique and tasted the best. Had the feta and olives which were good. For entrees, first one had a plate of variety of seafood that was absolutely disgusting, not fresh at all, my husband ended up throwing up. Second dish was lamb skewers that were overcooked. Will not ever come back to this place.

Went here for my wife’s birthday. Couldn’t have been happier with the care and the overall experience that we received. Dejah was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Her recommendations and overall personality was great! Food was fantastic and was presented beautifully! A little expensive but worth it! Will be coming back! Thank you guys!

We had a fantastic dinner here! Siba took care of us and was very friendly and super attentive. She offered us great recommendations and a good vibe for the evening! The food was delicious! I loved seeing the grill from our table. Our favorite dish was the Brussel sprouts! Heavenly! I would highly recommend!

Yelp
this place deserves 10 stars! Siba our waitress was absolutely amazing. working for Morgan's grower of vegetables they do a fantastic job of displaying and cooking them. Recommend Baby Broccoli, octopus and everything else on the menu.

Yelp
I recently spent an evening at Vasili's in Naperville, and it made me feel like part of the family. From the moment I stepped into their warm, hearth-inspired ambiance, I was captured by the vibe--it's upscale yet inviting, with vibrant energy and attentive service. The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish tasted authentic and thoughtfully prepared. I couldn't get enough of their lamb souvlaki--tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The spread of dips, saganaki, and Village Salad were equally memorable, bursting with bright flavors that felt true to their Mediterranean roots. My favorite item is the Keftedes (lamb meatballs), because it has the right amount of spices and flavor to it. If you get this try dipping in the bread into the sauce of this dish! There is a lively atmosphere and the decorations are beautiful. The outside patio area overlooks the river in downtown Naperville which gives it this upscale vibe. Can't wait to go back, love this spot!

Yelp
Of course this place is beautifully decorated , wonderful location, and the outdoor seating is just right . They missed a few things with service, but made up for it by comping us a meal and offering complimentary champagne to celebrate our guests birthday. I have been here several times and the food is always delicious but this last time I went I was blown away . These were the best lamb chops I have ever tasted in my life. They were juicy and full of flavor and came with a pesto sauce that wasn't even necessary. I'm ashamed to say that I cleaned the bone ...not even a bite of fat remained. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned, while being soft on the inside and a lightly crunchy on the outside .

Yelp
Vasilis is easily one of the best dining experiences in Naperville. The space is vibrant and energetic, perfect for both date nights and dinners with friends. Service was prompt and personable, and the food--from appetizers to cocktails--was memorable. The halibut was well-cooked and plated beautifully. The fish was tender and fresh, though it could've used a bit more seasoning to bring it to life. Still a solid entrée, especially for seafood lovers. The paidakia (grilled lamb chops) was a standout. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and the lamb itself was tender and cooked just right. There was a little more rendered fat than I would've liked, but it didn't take away from how satisfying the dish was overall. What really stole the show for me was the hummus. Easily the best I've had in the area--creamy, balanced, and fresh. A lot of other reviewers have echoed this too, and they're not wrong. The broccolini side was a surprise hit. Packed with flavor and charred just enough to add depth, it elevated the whole meal. Drinks were on point. Well-balanced, great flavors, and complemented the food nicely. You can tell they put real care into the cocktail program. From start to finish, this place delivered. Between the quality of the food, the attention to detail, and the welcoming vibe, Vasilis is a must-visit if you're anywhere near the Naperville area

Yelp
First thing that stands out about this place-- it's beautiful!!! I couldn't stop staring at the lights and all the gorgeous artwork. We had a really nice view of the riverwalk too. The bread was warm and crunchy and seedy. Hard recommend. The beet salad was refreshing and light if a little unexciting. And the service was wonderful, too, we got there the moment they opened and they wasted no time seating us. Excited to come back.

Yelp
Came here for the first time on a Sunday evening for dinner and it was an early dinner that luckily I made a reservation for. However, upon arriving, I was surprised that there were already peopledining. We had a great table towards the back of the restaurant, right by the windows and even though it was a rainy day, it was great to see outside. Our waiter Keegan was super friendly, very patient and also very honest and helpful with the menu. As you can tell from the photos, we ordered quite a few different items from appetizers as well as entrées and desserts. The restaurant is named after the owner's father-in-law who is Greek. And while the restaurant is definitely Greek, it also has some strong Mediterranean influences as well. I would describe this as modern Greek while still staying true to some very traditional menu items and cooking styles. This is evident with items like the lokoumades and the pastitsio. I would definitely come back here again and this turned out to be a very lucky find. And on Sundays this street has free parking, which is very convenient. The ambience is definitely modern clean, natural, almost Mykonos style due to the amount of white, but also due to the amount of Matte finished Wood.

Yelp
Aesthetically beautiful! Vasili's gave me the Chicago vibes I wanted without the Chicago paid parking and 30 min - 1 hr drive. WINNING! My husband and I had dinner here to help celebrate my birthday and liked it. Service throughout was consistent and quick. I started out with a gin based drink and it was a miss for me. My husband tried their tequila based drink and it was also a miss for him. Since both drinks were not great, idk if we'd order cocktails again. We may stick to wine from there going forward. For food we tried the saganaki, grilled calamari, falafel, chicken souvlaki and the pineapple revani. Things were hit or miss. The falafel was just OK. I didn't find it to be anything special but still decent. The grilled calamari was a big time miss. The calamari itself was very bland and chewy. It tasted like it was frozen, thawed out then boiled. I did not like it at all and would pass on it completely. The sauce in it was good but it was so unfortunate that the calamari was just so bad. Okay! The good stuff - We both enjoyed the saganaki and the chicken souvlaki. I'd order both of those items again. The chicken was slightly overcooked, but thankfully the flavors made up for it. I also loved how it had the char grilled taste to it. For dessert I wanted to try something different and ordered the pineapple revani. For me it had too much going on and it was way too sweet. I wish I would have stuck to rice pudding or the donuts.

Yelp
Vasili's is in downtown Naperville and offers modern Greek waterfront vibes with upbeat music pumping on the weekends. Service is attentive and top notch. Plates and cutlery are regularly replaced. This is a place you'll want to come with family and friends for a nice night out. The cocktails offerings are good. The Persephone's Promise was larger than expected and tasted great with our meal. You'll want to start with the trio spread to try a variety. We really liked the Taramosalata and the Skordalia the best. If you're not a fan of garlic, then don't get the latter. We shared the Roasted Beets Salad which has red and gold beets on top of cheese that does a nice job of balancing out the honey vinaigrette and beet texture. The combo was a nice platter to share with our table as it came with lamb chops, chicken souvlaki, loukaniko, roasted potatoes, and a grilled pork item which was a bit dry. The chicken souvlaki and loukaniko were our favorite items as they had the best flavors and cooked just right. Overall Vasili's is a nice place for the vibes and drinks, but the food came in under expectations especially the main courses. I like my meats cooked medium and most everything was left to grill a bit too long on the fire inevitably drying out some foods.

Yelp
I had Valentine's Day dinner here and as we walked in, the place was looking packed. My second time but liked the vibe of people enjoying food and drinks. Our server was fantastic, she was able to read our minds and suggested amazing drinks too. Overall another great experience
google avatar

Yelp
This place is absolutely beautiful, the inside is very picture worthy. The drinks are very good and strong, I had the summer in Santorini which was phenomenal especially on a hot day. We started off with the trio dips and asked if they had gluten free substitute for pita bread, they did have gluten free bread you have to order separately. The gluten free bread I was a bit disappointed when it came out as it was literally just bread cut in half but was nice to eat with the dips. The brunch gyros were amazing. Definitely will be going for drinks and maybe apps again!

Mario D.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place, the food was spot on. The service was amazing and the staff was great. We just have to be responsible on keeping the bathrooms, a little bit cleaner for the guest

Yelp
GET HER TO THE GREEK Ladies are sure to love this trendy Mediterranean place in downtown Naperville. Vasili's serves nouveau Greek cuisine with Napervillian pricing, which is to say it's expensive but not unreasonably so. The restaurant is on the south bank of the river, next to Blue Sushi Sake Grill and across the street from Quiubo. I've been here twice now, and my wife thrice, all terrific experiences. The spread trio ($16) is a nice variety sampler, unfortunately the tzatziki was a weak effort. It's supposed to be a blend of cucumber, garlic and herbs, but all we could taste was yogurt. The taramasalata (fish roe spread) and htipiti (feta & roasted red pepper) were great, however. 4/5 They wisely opted not to tinker with the saganaki ($12) or the choice to flambé it tableside. Better still, they use kefalograviera cheese (one of the better cheeses to use, alongside kefalotyri). The spanakopita ($18) is different than what you might expect but the layered spinach & feta pie is quite tasty. 5/5 Lamb souvlaki ($31) is wonderful despite being served sans-grains. I understand that it's a shareable plate and not an entrée, but c'mon, for thirty bucks would it kill them to include a cup of orzo? I wasn't crazy about having to order a side of rice ($11), even though it was a fair portion size. 4/5 For dessert, the table was divided on the pineapple revani ($12). My dad & wife enjoyed it, but my mom and I felt there was way too much going on with a semolina cake soaked in syrup, almonds, mint, and vanilla-ginger ice cream. The loukoumades (donuts with honey & walnuts, $12) were unanimously delicious. 4.5/5 Bread = 4.5 Circuses = 5 Our server, Isaac, took good care of us. Staff were accommodating to our party of 4 adults + 2 littles, bringing us a highchair and sitting us at a corner table with a view of the river. This was the best case scenario, since we had a folded-up stroller and extra baggage for the kids. Not being trapped in the middle of a crowded dining floor put my nerves at ease. Vasili's has a nice outdoor patio with heaters, and there's a snazzy fountain within penny-tossing distance. Although street parking is available, spots are limited so you'll probably wind up parking in the free garage 1/2 block west of here. You'll definitely need a reservation--this place gets packed! * TL;DR * Whether it's a dinner date with the wife, celebrating mom's (70th!) birthday, or a ladies' night monthly meetup, Vasili's has excellent food and lively vibes for every occasion. I found it interesting that across several visits, the majority of diners have been women. Makes sense, y'all typically have good taste (I, on the other hand, am impressed with a basket of wings and cheap beer). The music is fun, a mixture of Top 40 and club hits makes me feel like I'm partying in Mykonos. The atmosphere is ideal for catching up with friends over small plates or impressing your partner with a romantic meal. I highly recommend Vasili's.

Yelp
The place looks so awesome! They now have outside seating and love it since it's not humid. We ordered the Lavraki which is very tasty, Patitsio, a baked pasta which is my fave since it has the right creaminess but not too heavy. Chicken and Lamb Souvlaki are great! , Brine Chicken is my least fave. It is very tasty but kinda dry. For appetizer, we ordered the pita bread with 3 dips (trio). So good! We did not order dessert but we ordered coffee. The service is fast and the wait staff are very attentive. This is a place that I will bookmark on yelp!

Yelp
Fancy, expensive place. Ambiance and decor is really top-notch. Service is respectful and great. The Greek food is good but seems too experimental and fancy. Lots of stuff and expensive but the flavor could have been better. Not bad at all tho.

Yelp
Decided to visit Naperville last night and dined at Vasili's . Loved the location of the location of the restaurant on water street right in downtown Naperville. I loved they had valet parking available for $12. There is also free parking available near by. Really liked the decor and aesthetics of this place and bonus points for outdoor patio. We decided to sit outside. Our server arrived promptly and helped us decide a nice variety of dishes to try. We had the house salad, a trio of spreads, vasili's chips. We like all three of the starters and it was a great start. For the entrees we got the Penny's Pastitsio, Lavraki ( sea bass) , Flat Iron Steak , and Souvlaki ( lamb). The entrees sizes were nice , the presentation was good and the food was well prepared. I was hoping it to be more flavorful but overall it was a good experience and I would visit again.

Yelp
Mediterranean cuisine at its finest! We enjoyed exploring the many dishes, each bursting with bold flavors celebrating the region's culinary heritage. Every dish was presented beautifully, striking a perfect balance between a cozy, homey feel & classy. The service staff embrace the spirit of Mediterranean hospitality. The vibe comes alive when it's bustling with patrons, but I personally prefer it when it's a bit more tranquil -perfect for savoring every bite & enjoying your company! The decor adds a delightful touch with its charming details. Be sure to make a reservation as this gem can fill up quickly esp during the weekends!

Yelp
I have a few thoughts regarding Vasilis' restaurant in Naperville, IL. First, don't serve mussels if the shell hasn't opened. 2nd: loud bouncy, bouncy music seems inappropriate during a meal: Had we wanted to jump up and down with our arms above our heads, we would have gone to a bar. 3rd: The leg of lamb looked great -- ordered at an adjacent table. I promised myself to try it sometime, but only if they deliver. As tasty as the lamb might be, it wouldn't justify a visit to Vasilis's.

Yelp
Really love the atmosphere of this restaurant. Inside is stylish and it was so nice to sit outside by the fountain. Also, our servers were so sweet. Very genuine, very kind to my children. The food was good. I do think that it has gone down a little bit since the last time we visited. We had the steak and the scallops as entrées. Steak was good, I probably would not recommend the scallops (they were the super tiny ones, not a ton of flavor). They were not horrible just not great. Kids meal chicken fingers on the other hand were delicious! As you can see, they were gobbled up and about two seconds.

Yelp
We came here with a larger group for brunch while staying in Naperville. We sat outside since we had our dog with us and Vasili's was extremely accommodating. Most restaurants in Naperville are not dog friendly so I was really excited that we could dine here with her. They gave her an amazing water bowl too! It was hot out, so they brought a few umbrellas to our tables so we could try to stay cool. The waitress was really nice and offered various recommendations. We enjoyed our cocktails, especially the Hellenic Elixir. It was smoky from the mezcal but was balanced with the hibiscus syrup and other ingredients. The Kafe Pappou was a nice coffee cocktail. My husband and I shared the Brunch Gyros and Pork Belly. Both were great! I preferred the gyros a little more because of all the fresh ingredients and the gyro meat was very tasty too. The pork belly was very good, but one piece was definitely rendered better than the other. The poached eggs and pomegranate seeds were awesome with the meat. We shared a Saganaki for the table and it was delicious! The pita wasn't my favorite but it didn't matter since the cheese was the star. I really enjoyed coming here and if I am back in Naperville I would check it out again!

Yelp
We were able to be seated right away on a Saturday night. The place was so nice and lively. Our waitress Krystal was amazing! Attentive and helped us decide what to get. We were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The only downside was how incredibly loud it was in there. I felt we had to shout to eachother. Otherwise great experience and definitely recommend!

Yelp
Date Night with the DH. We went during Restaurant Week to try this Mediterranean place in downtown Naperville. It was a busy Saturday night. Definitely make reservations. Staff was friendly and very courteous, answering our questions about drink choices and trying to get us seated a little earlier than our reservation. Food and drinks were all of the highest quality - good pour on my cocktail and new silverware with every course so as not to "spoil the taste" of the next dish. DH and I agreed that hands down the zucchini chips were the best thing we had here as well as in our top 10 best dishes ever. Lentil soup was very tasty and filling. DH devoured his beet salad and grilled calamari as well. Our only complaint and one we heard repeated by the table next to ours was it was a little too loud to enjoy a conversation. I felt I had to use my teacher voice for my DH to hear me.

Yelp
I'm not sure how I found this place! I had it bookmarked and just decided to go for lunch. We dropped in about 1pm, initially the restaurant was open with tables. After we were seated it became crowded. So we ordered a NY strip, lamb chops, & a chicken kabob. We ordered drinks too. Everything came out timely. The food and drinks were very good. The service was so good!!!! I told my servserver I was coming back to see her. Lolbvs

Yelp
Had the hummus sampler and the vegetable chips - this was outstanding Service was very good I had the gyro - very good when mixed with the sauces sampler but perhaps a little plain Very trendy ambiance Overall, it deserves its 4.8 rating and that is what I would give it - roughly 4.6, very good

Yelp
We came to Vasili's for our anniversary dinner (one year!) and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We made a reservation for a weeknight and it was pouring rain that night, but the restaurant was still bustling. My friend had mentioned this restaurant to me since she knew I lived close by, and it was a great recommendation. Plus the reviews are glowing (!) and can trust the Yelp community and also Google reviews. When a critical mass loves a restaurant, there's gotta be truth to it, so out we went in the rain. I wore a dress and felt fancy. The interior was BEAUTIFUL. Vasili's is a Mediterranean restaurant and had lots of Greek flavors on their menu. It felt extra special to eat here because we went to Greece and the island of Santorini for our honeymoon. We ordered: trio of dips with pita (tzatziki, hummus, taramosalata) mussels octopodi halibut crudo my cocktail: kafé pappoú his cocktail: frésko The food was fresh and heavenly. The flavors were crisp and clean and highlighted all the natural flavors of the food without too much extra spice. The simplicity of the ingredients + professionals in the kitchen = a Mediterranean culinary paradise. Five beautiful shining stars. The service was friendly, our water glasses were always full, our dirty plates promptly bussed away. We had a memorable meal, and I'm so glad this restaurant is in downtown Naperville.

Yelp
This place was super busy on a Friday night. Unfortunately, we were only able to get high top table, which was a little difficult with a young toddler. The food however, really made up for the experience because everything tasted delicious. We are vegetarian and got everything vegetarian on the menu and you can't go wrong. The desserts are huge, and would recommend sharing. Very loud and a fun place to be on a Friday night, definitely make a reservation!

Yelp
Heres my mixed Experience at Vasili's in Downtown Naperville Another date night out and Vasil's for dinner and left us with mixed feelings about the experience. The atmosphere was nice, and visiting on a Tuesday around 6:30 PM meant the crowd was minimal, which made for a relaxing evening. We chose to sit at the bar, and the bartender attended to us promptly, which was appreciated. We started with a slightly dirty martini, which was tasty and well-prepared. The village salad as an appetizer was fresh and flavorful, setting a good tone for the meal. For the main course, I ordered the Okra King Salmon but was very disappointed with the portion size for the $40 price tag--it felt underwhelming and did not meet expectations. On the other hand, the gyros were a reliable choice, delivering good flavor and value. Overall,Vasili is a solid option for Greek food in downtown Naperville, especially if you're looking for a quieter spot midweek. However, some dishes could offer better value for the price. I'd consider returning for the atmosphere and service but might be more selective with my entrée choice next time.

Yelp
Tried this restaurant on a Sunday evening. We started off with Hummus which was exceptionally good. For mains, we had scallops and Falafel. The food was delicious. Our server was super sweet and warm. The ambiance was awesome. I would recommend to have a reservation before you walk in the restaurant ad even on Sunday evening it was busy. There is plenty of parking on the streets as well as there is a parking garage nearby. I would definitely recommend this place! MUST TRY!

Yelp
I personally think this restaurant has its pros and cons. The ambiance and overall location is great. I love the environment and they have a really nice bar/dining room. I would say the service is just ok. Our waiter was nice but didn't give any recommendations or ask about any allergies/food preferences. He didn't really speak about the restaurant or the food much, it just seemed like he wanted to turn tables and go home. Did I still tip him 25%? Yes, everyone has their off days. The food is also just alright. We got 3 of the spreads, chicken souvlaki, & brussels sprouts for the table. The spreads were just meh, we ran out of pita and didn't finish them. The souvlaki was probably the best thing we had there, it was simple and light. As I had mentioned before, our waiter didn't ask us about any food preferences. One of our guests was vegetarian & it didn't say there was bacon on the Brussels sprouts. He gave us some sorbet in the end to make up for it which was really nice. Overall, would I come back? Probably not.

Yelp
Good food and drinks. Waitress was friendly and the atmosphere is delightful. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner and then a stroll around afterwards.

Yelp
I would give my dinner experience (Saturday night at 730) 3.5 stars overall. The good- the food. The flavors of everything were fresh delicious. The saganaki was salty, rich and gooey. So great with the pita! The trio appetizer was also really good. The tzatziki was more cucumber forward than dill forward and it was refreshing! We also liked the whipped feta pepper dip. The miss was the skordalia potato dip. The flavor was good, but it just tasted off being at room temp and not warmed. Our entrees were also excellent- good portion size and great flavors. The bathrooms- seems weird to review a bathroom but I really appreciated the fact that the stalls had the door/walls up the ceiling. It is so much more enjoyable to actually have privacy in the restroom. The bad- service. This was the biggest miss for us. It was very slow. It was understandably busy on a Saturday night but we saw our waiter breeze past us a few times without stopping. There was a big gap between us ordering entrees after apps. The other miss for me was my drink. I ordered the NY sezerac which really only tasted like whiskey to me. It needed just a hint of the other flavors to balance it out. Overall, I'd recommend Vasilis.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a friend birthday, and we had a great time! I believe we were a group of 10 people, but our server was great. At a lot of other places, when you have a large group the servers are stressed and don't spend that much time at your table, but our server was excellent (I wish I remembered his name). I ordered the trio of spreads, and really enjoyed the hummus and whipped feta. I also got the feta brine chicken, which was pretty good, but I think I needed a side as well. This place is a nice vibe !
google avatar

Isha T.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Neperville. I love the ambience and food here. We celebrated friends birthday and enjoyed drinks and everthing. But, if you are looking for some celebration like mostly restaurants will get you cake, or will do something as it's someone birthday that was missing. It was a plain dinner but good food and drinks and service overall.

Yelp
This is by far the nicest and best restaurant downtown Naperville has to offer. There have been multiple things in this location and this one tops them all. If you don't like Vasili's you're obviously not getting the Saganaki, chicken souvlaki, lamb chops, Greek salad, trio dip or a good cocktail. It is definitely pricey but what isn't anymore? It's a great option for an anniversary or birthday dinner where you've got money to spend. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is the tables and chairs I always request a low top because the high top tables are impossible to sit in. In addition to this, the tables are super long one way so if you're going with two people you're very far away from one another, not the most intimate date night spot but the food makes up for it.

Yelp
From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with warm welcomes and stellar service. Isaac was our amazing server and the food was fantastic! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did (get the whipped feta)!

Yelp
Came here with a party of 3 around 5pm and got seated right away. We are family style and it was the perfect amount with a little bit leftover. Spanakopita - lots of good flavor with a cheesy crispy pastry. Three layers to split Hummus - very flavorful and smooth. Pita is just okay and thin, not really worth paying extra Gyros - plenty of meat and toppings. Meat is very tender Feta Brined Chicken - very flavorful and crispy. Crispy onions added a nice bite to the dish Village salad - very large and plenty of feta. Came super cold

Yelp
Went to Vasili's for a dinner date given all the hype around this place! The number thing that stuck out to me about Vasili's was the chic and beautiful ambiance and decor. From the moment you enter the restaurant, you feel as though you've been transported to Greece. Their stunning indoor seating includes bar seating, high tops, as well as booth seating. But their outdoor seating really stole my heart, with its location right next to the Naperville riverwalk! The service was great, we were greeted and seated right away. Our server even brought over extra pitas for us while we waited for our main course! For food - we started with the trio dipping spread which included the hummus, skordalia, and htipiti dips served with warm and fresh pita bread. The hummus was incredible, the skordalia had a nice tang to it which was delicious. The htipiti was probably my least favorite, only because the potato was very overpowering but still really good. For our main course, we got the chicken souvlaki, which was absolutely amazing. There was a smokiness to the chicken which completed perfectly with the yogurt sauce it came with. The chicken was juicy and tender and perfectly seasoned. 10/10 for sure. The second main course was the yenny's pastitsio, which was a baked pasta dish made with meat, cheese, and bechamel. It was very yummy and VERYYYY cheesy. If you're a cheese lover, this is your meal! We even had a lot of the pasta to take home with us! So happy about Vasili's as a new addition to the downtown NPV area! It makes for a great meal with some amazing vibes! Super interested to see if the menu changes seasonally!

Yelp
We sat outside for some alfresco dining and a lovely evening in Naperville. It was busy, but we were greeted with a cheerful smile by our waitress Siba. The food was great as usual, but what really stood out this time was our waitress. Siba was fun and engaging. It felt like she gave her genuine opinion on what she recommended and we hope we see her again on our next visit

Yelp
Attentive service, fine wine list, with creative culinary. On the riverfront, with a Mediterranean menu that tempts your senses. Love on the lamb souvlaki or pork belly and be served with distinction by a team of service championed by Deja (sp). Be back for sure.

Yelp
Had a 7pm reservation to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday tonight (Friday). Showed up at 6:50pm and was told by the totally uninterested reception teenagers that they were "running behind 15-20 mins and we should have a seat at the bar to wait". The place and the bar were a circus. There was no room at the bar nor anywhere else to have a drink and wait. We left and went to Catch 35 for a fabulous dinner with outstanding service. Will never try Vasili's again.

Yelp
First time trying and it was absolutely wonderful. Food was so good. My boyfriend and I got Saganki, Gyros, and the Halibut. Our server Ally was amazing and attentive. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I have been back a few times as my family loves this place.. I will say the food is very good, however the portion sizes are brutally small for the price you are paying. This has led to me preferring basils for Mediterranean personally

Yelp
Lamb, beef were all very dry. Worse than chain Mediterranean places. Highly recommend going somewhere else

Yelp
I've always passed by this place in downtown Naperville but finally ended up making the trip! I went for a friends birthday and thought the vibes were super cute and cozy. Our waiter was so nice and gave us great recommendations on wine and menu items. I tried the Prosecco and it was really yummy:) the chicken skewers I got were also good, but the portions aren't the largest for the price you're paying so I wasn't exactly full at the end of it (definitely not a shareable dish). I'd say this place is good for special occasions and dates.
