"Despite its central location and elegant ambience, this former 17C mill, which has retained its old wheel and millstone in the dining room, has the feel of the open mountains. The excellent service here is overseen by Paolo Bariani, one of the partners, who is also responsible for the 300 or so wines in the cellar. The wine list features a careful balance of famous names and small wineries, with wines also available by the glass. The second partner, chef Filippo Oggioni, is at the helm in the kitchen, where he skilfully showcases the flavours and traditions of the Aosta valley with a modern twist, as well as including a few recipes from nearby France. His dishes are all cooked “express”-style, i.e. in the moment, which gives his cuisine additional appeal. His superb venison cooked in red wine and with a splash of grappa, which creates a delicious jus and is served accompanied by smoked potato purée, is well worth trying. In addition to an à la carte, there’s also the option of choosing from three tasting menus, one of which is vegetarian and all of which are prepared using fresh ingredients from the market." - Michelin Inspector

We went to this beautiful restaurant based on its reputation and were not disappointed. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was beautifully prepared. We had the proximity tasting menu. It was excellent. We did not want to do full wine pairing but we were selected an excellent glass of orange wine for the first 2 courses and red for courses 3 and 4. We both loved the Bar BQ quail with fig ravioli whilst the beef fillet steak was also exquisite. Highly recommended

Dining at this Michelin-starred restaurant was an absolute delight! The food was amazing, and the service was impeccable. I had the most delicious pasta of my life right here. 🍝 Also, the dessert was spectacular, super fresh and energizing.

Amazing food, really fresh, flavours very well balanced - put together in creative combinations, wine list excellent and recommendations on point! Service was impeccable and Paolo looked after us very well! Tables were extremely well spaced and Covid measures fully adhered to but not overbearing. Highly recommended to go for the 7 course tasting menu and let them take you on an unforgettable culinary experience! We left filled, contented and eager to return next time we are in Aosta!

Very classy and nice Interieur. Service is excellent, very polite and good English! We went for the seven courses with wine pairing. Food was absolutely perfect, one of the best Michelin experience I’ve ever had. (Very subjective of course) We really enjoyed the wine pairing, as the wines were a bit more unusual and quite an experience. We will certainly come back when we visit aosta again!

I wouldn’t ever dreamed to find a place like this in Aosta. The host and the waiters were very kind and polite, regarding the food ..let’s say it in one word: Terrific. From the entree to the coffee (and side chocolates as well) it’s been amazing have a dinner there. Of course could be a little expensive but we’re talking about high premium restaurant.

Had an outstanding evening with delicious food and impeccable service. Stand out dish was the risotto for me, but everything was very tasty! I had the vegetarian menu, my friend the 'normal' 5 course tasting menu and we shared a bottle of wine. The bill came to under €300 for the two of us which felt like amazing value given the quality of food. We left with full bellies and happy hearts. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Aosta or the surrounding area!

Absolutely not worth the Michelin star. Service is ordinary. Food is a bit pretentious. But a really nice experience and very nice ambience.

It's more than 15 year that I know this restaurant, and every time that I visit it it's a lovely experience. Katia as a maitre help you in everything that you need. Tables are big and seats are very comfortable. The ambient is purely magic, cozy and relaxing. Dishes are a perfect mix between the regional cuisine of the Valley with several influences from othen regions, such as Lombardia. Wine list is precise and stuffed with palatable wines. Alfio in the kitchen serves plates that not only are good to eat, but also very brilliantly designed and composed. I love everything in this restaurant since the very beginning of his journey back in the 90's. I definetly recommend it.
