"Vegano aims to offer a wide range of options for multiple types of eaters — vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or dairy-free — all under the umbrella of “gordivegano” or “fatty vegan” dining. The menu is based on Mexican and international comfort foods like red or green chilaquiles, a barbecue burrito with breaded cauliflower and plantains, or a breakfast sandwich with tofu scramble, guacamole, and rice paper bacon. Potato, carrot-based cheese, faux chicken, tofu, chickpeas, and cashews fill the pantry. Vegamo’s most Instagrammable dish is the Chewbacca, a sandwich composed of two spinach-avocado waffles around a filling of soy bacon, mushroom stew, and basil pesto. Vegamo is a helpful vegan option in Centro Histórico, where animal-free dining is limited." - Natalia de la Rosa

Happy to find vegan restaurants here, but the guacamole wasn't that good. I looks beautiful and I give it 5 stars for the effort, but it tasted like the one you can buy in the supermarket. Also just a few nachos, I went down to ask for more, you'll get them, but you pay extra. They didn't have hot drinks on the day I was there - very sad, because I came for coffee. I needed to use the toilet but didn't, because I was disgusted by them. I ended up paying 7€ for the guacamole, which I find overpriced for the taste and overall experience in this restaurant.

One of my few experiences with vegetarian food, and I can happily say that their dishes are delicious. I recommend the Bandeja Paisa—it's a very tasty and complete dish—as well as the BBQ Burrito, which is flavorful. Be careful with the pizza; it’s not the typical pizza you know. It’s much more stuffed than usual, and remember, it’s vegan pizza, so they don’t use certain common ingredients from traditional pizza. They have a good variety of hot and cold drinks. I recommend not sitting outside near the street. A car might pass by and stir up a lot of dust or unpleasant odors, depending on the vehicle. Also, the ground in that area isn’t completely flat; it’s slightly inclined. If you want the best experience, go for the indoor seats or the sidewalk seating. Unfortunately, there are certain aspects of the place that need improvement: 1. Dish availability – Depending on the time and day, some dishes might not be available. For example, the Bandeja Paisa is often sold out. 2. Service during busy hours – It can be a bit tricky to get served. There’s usually only one person at the register, and this same person often takes table orders. If you want better service without having to get up, sit inside the establishment—it's easier to get their attention. 3. The vegan "egg" in the Bandeja Paisa is too sweet. 4. Sitting outside at night is not a great experience due to the lack of lighting, and passing cars with high beams can be blinding if you're seated facing the opposite direction of traffic. Note: Sharing pictures from both afternoon and night time experiences.

A calm and delicious restaurant, the service was friendly and the menu had so many great options. I got hotcakes and tea and was super happy with my meal! I will definitely be coming back here for more yummy vegan eats. Update: The kale caesar salad was quite good as well, I really enjoyed the combination of the quinoa with the coconut milk! The pink lemonade is also good. And the upstairs seating area is cozy with warm lighting, very good vibes.

Delicious food served with care, and beautifully plated. I’d love to see a few offerings in smaller portions like soup or guacamole so you could order them more like an aide dish or addition to a plate. Pastries are also tasty and visually spectacular. Service is simple but just right for the type of vibe the restaurant has.

This cute restaurant/cafe is very trendy and an excellent spot for vegan and gluten free options. My family and I visited twice during our five day stay in Mexico City. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The fries were our favourite! The brownie was rich and delicious. Worth checking out during your trip!
