Vegan Daddy Meats

Vegan Daddy is definitely in my top 3 spots for vegan food in Salt Lake! The food is absolutely incredible, the service is unmatched, and the prices are fantastic. I was running late to pick up my order and it was already after closing time, but when I called, they not only let me come get it—they even made me fresh fries after they were closed! I’m so grateful for their kindness, understanding, and for going the extra mile. 💕

SLC is blessed to have Vegan Daddy Meats! Every single item on the menu is bursting with flavor, and after trying everything, I can confidently say this spot is a total game-changer. My partner and I can’t get enough. Huge thanks to Vegan Daddy for serving up comforting, crave-worthy plant-based eats. Nowhere else can you find vegan fried chick'n this good =^.^= I say got damn!

SLC is so lucky to have a vegan spot like this! It's awesome to see how the fried chick'n and the menu have improved over time, it's really dialed in. The Carolina gold is my favorite sauce to dunk the delectable vings in. Don't forget to grab some stuff to go from the freezer! Hail Seitan!!

this is by far one of the best vegan places I’ve ever been. I have been vegan now for over 10 years and vegan daddy completely changed the game. This place is a must visit.

A fun little restaurant that offers 'traditional' meat meals for those that do not want to consume animal products. We have been there a handful of times and enjoyed it every time. We took some vegetarian friends there, they liked the offerings and how it tasted. It might not be my go to restaurant, but it is nice for a treat every once and awhile.

Great variety of non-meat sandwiches and dishes. I had the “beaf and cheddar” sandwich and my daughter had the garlic vings with a side of potatoes and gravy. All tasted excellent. This Vegan Daddy was very satisfied! Will definitely go again.

Tons of options and all of them delicious. Good hours and location is right off the freeway. Highly recommend the VFC bowl for first timers!

I come to Salt Lake City often for work and absolutely love the amount of vegan options y'all have! This was my first time at Vegan Daddy Meats and I was so impressed, will definitely be back! I got the French Dip and it was SO GOOD!!! Plus fries with fry sauce - the fries were my personal favorite type all thin and crunchy and the fry sauce was so good. Prices were amazing for the amount of food you get!! I will definitely be adding this into my SLC vegan food rotation when I'm back in town for work :) I also got some jerky I haven't had the opportunity to try yet but loved that they offer that plus other vegan meats you can buy!! I don't want to live in Utah but if I did I would be here all the time to stock up on vegan meats!!! Support your vegan restaurants - here in Denver so many of ours are closing...

What an awesome spot. Love how it says Plant Butcher on top display over the counter. They deliver on that. The Beaf and cheddar reminded me of my meat eating days at Arby's. The deli slices were thin and on point. Gotta try that sandwich! The mouth texture along with the burst of flavor brought me back to my Arby days. Now dont get me started on the chickn. That with the sauces were delicious. The poutine fries GOTTA TRY. Those hit the spot. Definitely need to come back here again and try the rest. Everything we tried was great! You cannot go wrong. Awesome Vegan menu and everything is cooked and prepared in front out in the open. I love that. Great friendly service in a great neighborhood with awesome ambience. A must go when youre in town.

I have been wanting to try this place since moving to Salt Lake City, and because I'm moving away in three days I thought I should get delivery. The chicken itself was good and the ranch was good, but everything else was just okay. It was pretty expensive for what it was, and honestly nothing to write home about.

What a great place to eat! My first time here but hubby has been here a fair amount since it's closer to his job. Amazing food. Super friendly service and a casual laid back atmosphere. It's his birthday and he wanted his Buffalo Chicken which he says is the best place in the valley for it. I had the French Dip (minus moozerella) and was in love with it. Son had the Baby's. He didn't care for the sauce, however, which overtook the rest of the flavors. We all loved the fries. Yum!!!

Visited Vegan Daddy in a Saturday afternoon. The service was great, food came out super quick. We order the vings and fries and they were so delicious and fresh! I would def come here again.

VFC (Vegan Fried Chicken) Bowl was very good, with its mashed potatoes and gravy; and plenty of food at a reasonable price. There was a steady stream of customers during Saturday lunchtime. The vibe is pleasant, with plenty of natural lighting from the sun. There was a single employee running the entire show: taking orders, preparing the food, then bringing it to the customers when ready. Service was friendly and attentive. I'd love to come back and try other items on the menu.

this place is awesome! the house made seitan based proteins are super tasty. highly recommend the bbq chicken sandwich!

First time trying vegan food; it was great! I have no dietary restrictions but saw the wonderful reviews and decided to stop by. I ordered the Varby's beef & cheddar sandwich with jalapeños, and it's something I would 100% eat again. It's pretty indistinguishable from a real meat sandwich, and it was delicious and flavorful. Highly recommend giving it a try, even if you do eat meat! I'll be back to try other menu items.

Yes yes yes! It's a challenge to find totally plant based restaurants anywhere, but here it is! Whatever you try will amaze your taste buds. Bravo.

Fire! I would love one of these places close to home. I haves the beef dip, wish I was closer to try more! Loved the options were like the things I missed most about not eating meat and dairy. I need to learn how to make the meat-no-meat options!!!

I would give these guys a 6 star review if I could! My girlfriend and I were driving through Utah and decided to stop here for lunch. The place was supposed to be closed due to an issue with the frier. One of the employees saw us outside and found a bunch of stuff that the kitchen was able to put together for us, and it was AMAZING. Thank you so much, you are the best! I don't know what was better, the service or the food.

It's ludicrous how good the food is. If this brand replaced Arby's slopshop the world would be a much healthier, happier place.

The menu is so good here , we got the chicken sandwich and the jr burgers. The cheese is the best part of the junior burger.so warm and delicious. Best location has tons of parking and overlooks a busy street that you can look out of. I really appreciate the staff and they have huge cold water cups which save you a trip to refill . The location is bright and open.

Just spectacular. Service was super friendly. Fries were perfect & loved the Varby sandwiches. I will go out of my way to come here again! My only recommendation would be to add fountain soda, but I can live without So impressed! Please open one in Holladay, Utah!

I've been wanting to try Vegan Daddy Meats for a long time now after stumbling across their Instagram page. They have a booth at Kilby Block Party, and I finally got to try them! They had two options available at Kilby when I was there last night. Not sure if they had sold out of their other options, but their BBQ Chicken sandwich was available and that was all that mattered to me. Their "chicken" sandwich I believe was made with seitan and was deliciously flavorful. I wish I had taken a photo of it but I wolfed it down too quickly. It was so good. Everything was! Even the bun it came on! The staff was SO friendly as well! They have a food truck and go to a lot of festivals around, including Veg Fest, but I'm not sure if they have a regular food truck schedule. I'll get more intel when I order from them again today and tomorrow at the festival :)

So yummy!!! We ordered the vings, habanero chik'n sandwich, and the mac n' cheese. It was all delicious and fresh. The sizes are hefty, so we left with full and happy bellies. We'll definitely be back, and we highly recommend it!! Also, the guy who took our order and cooked up everything was kind and helpful.

Our family frequents plant-based restaurants in the area but hadn't made it over to Vegan Daddy until now, and we're glad we did. I got the special, which was a mango habanero chikn sandwich that had slaw and a pineapple ring on it. We also got the Daddy Bucket and the 2 for $10 Varby's Jr. My sandwich was spicy and delicious, and we loved the Varby's Jr., too. The Daddy Bucket is actually a pretty good deal for $20 to share, has quite a lot of chikn strips and fries, and it comes with ranch and a choice of other sauce (we chose Carolina gold). The meat substitute in my sandwich and the chikn strips was a dense seitan/wheat gluten type of meat. We prefer the more tender version of wheat meat we've tried but enjoyed these nonetheless. The Varby's meat was softer, juicy, and very good with the cheesy and Varby's sauces. Our wait was a little longer than expected, but we were hungry with an energetic toddler, and the service was good and kind. I included a couple pictures of the location itself so you can get a little idea of what it looks like. Overall, it was a fun meal for us that we enjoyed, and we'll be back to try other things.

The food was AMAZING!!! We got the special which was the Varby's Jr. with fries (Not Pictured; ate it too quick whoops!), Nachos, Tossed Wings with Carolina Gold and BBQ as well as a Vegan Beef and Cheddar to-go. They were sure each item was made proper with perfect temperature and fantastic flavor. We dipped the wings in the vegan ranch and I kid you not every single bite was full of flavor. All the items were made right then and came out pretty quick. Their sauces and cheese blend for the sandwiches are just what we need, they seriously just melt with the meat. So delicious. The nachos are always a favorite! We dined inside, the staff was so attentive and thoughtful, bringing big glasses of iced water and utensils throughout our meal. Definitely making my way over there as much as I can. And I say sooner rather than later!

Tried this spot for th first time since relocating out this way. The "Varby" sandwich was everything! Customer service was pretty good, too. I'll be going back, soon.

Discovering a vegan restaurant echos those true meaty sandwiches many of us miss is a challenge. I tried the French Dip - something I have not had in maybe a decade (?) and was pleasantly surprised. Shaved slivers of seitan resembled slices of beef, and the dipping sauce had just the right amount of onion flavor (I LOVE onion!) to bring it over the top. The menu included "Beaf and Cheddar" - (V)Arby's style sandwiches which seemed quite popular as I noted a few others had ordered this; Chickn, fries, and onion rings. The personable owner took a few minutes to chat with me - and one can easily hear the passion he has for preparing delicious vegan food. Interior of the restaurant was extremely clean and neat - and parking was easy. I'll be back!

I saw the Glowing reviews but have to admit I was greatly disappointed. The sandwich was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten . The fries were soggy . The vegan cheese messy and gross tasting . Ugh will never go again .

Best vegan food in the valley! Great prices for everything being handmade! The staff is amazing, (the blonde girl behind the counter especially), and the owner is so cool, I think his name is Aaron or Alex or something. I love the "bussin'" sign too, so funny!

Absolutely delicious! This is the best vegan food I've had. I ordered the sweet Memphis barbecue sandwich. It was perfect. The fries and onion rings are super good. I also loved the sauces. The atmosphere is light, relaxing and fun

One of the best vegan restaurants in the US. Chicken is the best I've ever had. You have to try the 2 for $10 Beaf n cheddar jrs. Customer service is great. Would eat here everyday, but for now, every other day.

I tried this place when they had a booth at Kilby Block Party. Their bbq chicken sandwich was amazing! I ate here all 3 days of the festival. The employees were always very nice!

10/10 great ingredients and great food. The two guys working there were very friendly and welcoming. The place is fairly new so definitely go check it out!
