Called in around 8:30 to see if they had what I wanted I was told yes I then drive 40 minutes to get there and they are closed I call back the guy answers and says his daughter is supposed to be there and that he will be there in 30 minutes i tell him ok I’ll wait I call back 30 minutes later to see if he is near by and he says he’s in traffic that he will be there in 15 more minutes I explain to him I have my babies in the car and I’ve already been waiting 45 minutes while waiting I dinned at a pizza place …I called again just for the guy to not answer and never picked the phone back up …I don’t care how good the donuts or snacks are they completely wasted my time no type of consideration to at least answer the phone and say they won’t be able to make it instead of lying horrible business communication is 0/10 I will never spend another dime here I will rather go some place more professional and environment friendly if I could give 0 stars I would

Google
The donuts were light and airy! 🔥I bought two and had to circle back around and buy the rest. Customer service was amazing. These donuts are a life time favorite.

Google
Sorry to say this donut was horrible! I could not imagine why anyone would want to eat these. Maybe this was a bad batch I don't know because they have such a good rating. I drove out of my way to come here and was very disappointed. The donut is just so oily it's not even resembling the texture or experience of what eating a traditional donut is like. On top of that it was $3 for one donut which I think is probably reasonable for the amount of doughnuts that they produce but for the quality is ridiculous. On top of that the store does not even resemble remotely a donut shop. I was just surprised overall. I expected much better. The girl qho helped me was nice though.

Google

Google
These vegan doughnuts are amazing there is always different flavors to try. And the fresh juice and teas are unlike any that I've ever tasted. The service and atmosphere makes u want to come back time and time again. But the best part about it all is it's healthy for you yet taste isn't compromised.

Google
Soooooooooo good! Gluten free donuts!!!! I will be happy to give 5 stars again when this business adheres to their business hours. I have driven 30 minutes to this establishment only to find them closed on several occasions. This is the only place where my daughter and I can eat donuts. It's disappointing to both me and her (8 years old).

Google
Many complain about the hours of operation. The owner is Rastafarian. In their culture, they don’t believe in the constraints of time. It’s best to call and confirm they’re there rather than asking when they’ll be there or if they’re open at a certain time. The parking isn’t the best, but you can also park at the West End Mall parking lot across the street. I love this place! My absolute favorite donut shop for several years, especially since I have a gluten allergy. There are also soups, gluten-free samosas, smoothies, and juices available. The music is wonderful. Their events are amazing. I invite everyone to speak with the owner and get to know him, he’s very insightful and full of wisdom.

Google
Just drove 20 minutes to here and it’s closed. Called and he said he would be back at 9:00PM? It’s 6:45PM and online says they close at 7:00PM. Too bad I couldn’t actually rate it for the food.

Yelp
I had a great experience here and despite the comments, i didn't have a bad experience and the owner seemed even more comfortable with all types of people coming inside. I love his story and his rise to fame with his very own vegan and gluten free doughnuts recipe.

Yelp
Extremely reliable place! They sell vegan donuts but the most key part is how they also serve you other vegan dishes like a very thick mixed vegetable soup which imo makes this place very reliable for vegans. Its even late night too!
google avatar

Yelp
I mean... amazing. You wouldn't think they could possibly be as airy and a bit chewy as a Krispy Kreme since it's hard to replicate some textures when following a vegan diet but my goodness.... easily the vegan Krispy Kreme. The man who seemed to own the place was incredibly nice and answered all our questions with patience and eagerness! Can't recommend it enough! :)

Yelp
OMGGGGGGGGG, That's the only thing I could say for the first 2 minutes of tasting this heaven sent master piece of a doughnut . I got the "Banana Pistachio " and one was not enough!! Bless up to Chef Ras for blessing the people's taste buds, I was not expecting it to be this amazing. Currently making a U-turn to get more!!

Yelp
Delicious this is one of my faves already and this is my first time going. I love the vibes and the apple fritter one was so good

Yelp
Homemade vegan foods... my weakness. BLACK owned business as well! Great job black king. I ordered 4 donuts I'm ashamed lol. One was something with pineapple the other was banana with other things. I'm currently drinking a delicious Pineapple Ginger Lime homemade detox drink from him.

Yelp
I'm honestly really confused as to why there are so many good reviews. No hate at all, I really wish I would have loved this place but I gotta be honest...these were literally the worst donuts I have ever tried in my entire life. First off, the hours posted on yelp are wrong. This place opens at 2pm not 1pm. On to the actual review, right when I stepped inside I was super confused and thought I was in the wrong store because it definitely did not look like a donut place at all. The guy who worked there seemed really chill and nice though. After walking in a little farther I noticed the small donut display case. I was seriously taken aback because I thought these would be at least semi fresh donuts maybe? I arrived around 4 ish. ALL of the donuts were wrapped in Saran Wrap and definitely would not be described as fresh. I ordered the strawberry banana donut and the strawberry topped cinnamon bun roll. The cinnamon roll was a solid zero out of five and the donut was a one. They were both extremely soggy and worse than bland. I was just utterly disappointed in how bad they tasted. Especially with all these raving reviews?! It makes me wonder if any of these people actually tried any other vegan donut besides this place, because seriously...they are missing out. Oh yea and another reason why I'm giving 1 star is because not only did I hate these donuts but those two donuts together were $11 which means one of them was around $6 or something soooooo yea no. That is WAY too overpriced for any donut, especially one of that quality.

Yelp
First timer here. I got two flavors orange lemon cranberry and pear something. Overall the flavor combinations were pretty good. The doughnuts have the shape of a non vegan doughnut but not the consistency. I feel like mine were a bit oily and they weren't as soft and fluffy as they could be compared to other vegan places I've gone. I paid $5 for two doughnuts and the guy was really nice answering any questions I had. I love that they're vegan, i love that they're black owned and i love the location. I would return when they first open to get the freshest doughnuts. The parking is weird. The actual shop is on the side of the building with Bakaris and Afrocentric, you can park there and walk around of park on the side street.

Yelp
Came here with high hopes! Masks are supposed to be worn over the mouth and nose!!! Gloves are supposed to be worn on the HANDS!!!! Disgusted and won't be back. The owner accompanied our stale doughnuts, we STILL chose to try for some reason, with rude comments about us asking them to put gloves on. Won't recommend.

Yelp
Believe the hype - this place is a dream. In the historic west end of Atlanta, it's off the main road in an area maybe you might not expect would house some amazing vegan gluten-free doughnuts, but they are there! There is street parking on the same side of the street as this hidden gem. So, as you can read, I echo the reviews of others. Some things to know in advance: 1) The proprietor is friendly and genuine, but it does appear to be a 1-person show! 2) The doughnuts are out when they are out, as are the cinnamon rolls. The choice is what is available - one full baking sheet full of doughnuts, and one of cinnamon rolls. 3) The doughnuts are made without gluten or dairy, no eggs and no regular sugar (uses coconut sugar). They are yeast-raised. 4) There is freshly-pressed juice available, already bottled for your consumption. 5) Buy at least 2 doughnuts, if you like doughnuts... because you will eat it in a heartbeat. It's a better deal to buy 2 doughnuts (2 for 5, 1 for 3). 6) The cinnamon rolls are denser but also delicious - their price point is higher, but, for this type of sweet treat in a gluten-free and vegan version, it's worth the price of 2-3 doughnuts. 7) Cinnamon and caramel and chocolate- say yes to these options. Overall, I have no idea how these doughnuts are so amazing for the texture and flavor with the ingredients used. It's a dream. So light and fluffy, sweet but not sickly so, fried, but not greasy. Nice chewy texture of kneaded dough - unlike cake doughnuts. The homemade goodness is evident, but it is at a retail level, as well. It's a happy blend for the product. I am so glad it is not closer to my home, because this would be a constant battle to fight: how many doughnuts to eat each week when trying to maintain a non-obese existence fueled by doughnuts... though the latter could be just fine with these amazing doughnuts! I'd like more, now....

Yelp
I promise you would never know these are vegan doughnuts. No sugar either, they are sweetened with agave. After eating these, I am dissatisfied with any other doughnut I've ever tried. I am disappointed whenever I go to another establishment, and think to myself, "I know better, why did I come here?" This man has changed the whole doughnut game!!! Vegan Dream Doughnuts is also a family oriented business. Come support, he never falls short. Your satisfaction is a sure thing.

Yelp
The dad doesn't make enough donuts. When I went I got leftovers. I bought them anyway because I wanted to taste this donuts.

Yelp
Definitely a safe choice for all of our fellow Vegans..lots of choices from meals, to sides, desserts and drinks with the normal healthy food price point despite the location.. But hey, happy to support my young black entrepreneurs..Good flavors all around ..Had the Pea protein burger and wifey had the shrimp po boy(#1seller)..shrimp Po Boy Is on point, just needs 2 or 3 more skrimps to at least make one feel like they are getting thier moneys worth...Dill fries and sweet POTATO fries and normal, nothing out of the ordinary... Wild cherry Cheesecake was good!. Steady stream of customers means repeat business and a few new patrons including us .. Definitely worth trying..Come on Down and check it out..ITS OFFICIAL and worth the shot

Yelp
He's never open I've tried plenty of times. And the door is always locked. The business might be closed

Yelp
These vegan donuts are supreme mon...the variety and flavor choices are so unique, as are the drinks which makes this an ATL standout. I'm so impressed with the donuts I'm going to buy some and try to drive them back to NC so my wife can taste a healthy donut

Kevin T.

Yelp
I am not even vegan but had such a great experience at SluttyVegan I was recommended to come and try Vegan Dream Doughnuts. I wish I would of taken pictures but the donuts were so fresh and smelled so good I couldn't hesitate to hurry up and eat them on the ride home. I will definitely have to come back because I ate all the donuts I was supposed to be bringing back home to my girlfriend. Vegan Dream Doughnuts were so delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Went there three times during business hours and they were closed. My second visit there, I called the business number. The guy that answered said they are open and he just stepped out for a moment. He said he will be back in about 15 min and I told him I'll wait. 30 min went by, 45 min went by, no sign of him and store was still closed. That shows his total disregard for customers. The third and last time was about a month ago, mid week around. I went to the vegan pizza place in the same shopping center and decided to walk over and finally try their donust...but they were closed AGAIN! I wouldn't even bother going there again, even if Im in the area.

Ela F.

Yelp
Had them once when I was in Atlanta...literally still dreaming about them. I can't wait to go back!! And let me preface this by saying I generally don't like donuts. Before and after going vegan, never liked them. But these are a class all their own. So so so good!! Just so juicy (weird saying that about a pastry I know lol) and moist and perfect.
google avatar

Nuvia D.

Yelp
Totally love the doughnuts here! Pretty pricy but it's definitely worth it. I come all the way from Georgia just to buy these! You can save them and they don't loose their texture like other doughnuts.
google avatar

Kim P.

Yelp
First thing to know: They sell out VERY fast. After yearning for these for months, I swung by just 30 minutes after opening, and all but one flavor was sold out. Only banana pistachio was left, which isn't what flavor I'd usually go for...but I had no choice. The overall flavor was just banana, no pistachio. And the flavor was subtle. The doughnut texture was half donut half cake. It was definitely delicious, but I wouldn't call it a true doughnut. I can't place what was "different" about it. If you go into it with no expectations, you'll very much enjoy these doughnuts. But if you have a high expectation of an overly sweet, fried doughnut, you'll be disappointed. The setup of the place was odd. It was just a young girl at a table in what looked like a non-related café. She said the "chef" would maybe return with more doughnuts, but maybe not. Overall, I got an inconsistent vibe from them. I wish it was more predictable, especially since I'm travelling over 30 minutes just to get to them. I also don't like their vague advertising - when I asked the girl if it's zero sugar or zero REFINED sugar, she said absolutely no sugar at all. But now I read on these reviews that they use coconut sugar. Inconsistent. Vague.

Yelp
It's always great vibes when we come to visit vegan dream for our donut fix. This spot is in a very unassuming part of the west end. And the owner brings fresh donuts daily from his bike. Once you walk in you know you're in a different type of spot. They typically have three different flavors for the day all of which are made with natural ingredients. We highly recommend that you check out the spot if you visit Atlanta and have a sweet tooth.

Deja H.

Yelp
Over priced and disgusting . The last time I ate this I was sick for 3 days.. it was the last thing i ate when this happened.. so I wouldn't recommend sorry y'all. I only give 2 stars mainly cause I still think this place has some type of potential but honestly... idk.

Yelp
This was my first time trying this place out. I loved everything about my experience. From the warm welcome, to my first bite, and the promotion of other black owned businesses. You should definitely stop by. Thanks Ras!
google avatar

Vickie B.

Yelp
Welp. I tried to taste one of these 'oh so good' donuts but after waiting 23 minutes for this place to open up at 1pm according to Yelp, and the door was locked. I then called to let them know that you have a first time customer outside and they apologized and said that they wouldn't be open an hour later. WOW. Really? I was here to pick up donuts for my staff. That was this morning. Two stops for nothing. I'll take the first 'L' for not checking for their hours. I stopped by at 9:30 am thinking that they would be open since they serve donuts. Ha! That was too logical of me. But this second stop at the appointed time.... I'm giving them the 'L'. That's two L's. Missed opportunity for a new customer and a waste of my gas and time.
google avatar

Moshiko I.

Yelp
Wow! Absolutely dream! Highly recommend!!! Doesn't feel vegan at all and super tasty.
google avatar

Gregory C.

Yelp
Excellent...fresh juices...and other vegan treats. Cool vibe...located in a space that is truly about the community. Glad to have this option. Always come by for Sorrel, Neem, Ginger lemonade...as well as the doughnuts!! Continued success. Bless, Bless up.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
YOOOO these doughnuts were unlike any other vegan doughnuts I've had. The tasted letter than non-vegan doughnuts. I regret I didn't get a dozen. Food: They had three different flavors and you can get them with sugar and cinnamon or just regular. They were fried to perfection, moist and delicious no matter if you ate them right away or waited a few days. They weren't usual vegan cake like doughnuts these were the real deal. Misc: It's right across the Wells Fargo drive-thru. You'll need to parallel park right out front. They take Cash, it's $5 for two doughnuts. You'll want more than two!
google avatar

Gamal P.

Yelp
It's around the corner, heads up Unique flavor and texture - still VERY donuty, no doubt - but almost like an oversized funnel cake-donut hybrid. Well worth the trip!!
google avatar

Paige B.

Yelp
Mmm mmmm mmmm ! This review is solely for the donuts .... I didnt go in the shop nor did I personally interact with the owner/baker/associate BUT my donut was bomb! It was some sort of almondy something. I'm not a sweetie (dont care for sweets much) but this vegan glazed donut was soooo good. Not too sweet, the perfect softness, and pure deliciousness in every bite. The price point was also ok for me... you get what you pay for. Want good ingredients with a great taste? Wanna support black business? Pay the money... it's worth it!
google avatar

Paula W.

Yelp
Vegan dream donuts changed my whole life the taste is out of this world. Who knew being a vegan could be this yummy You will be hooked like me! These donuts are truly a ATL landmark. Go get yours today
google avatar

Karen L.

Yelp
So here's the deal. These aren't some lame donuts with captain crunch on them or animal flesh on top. These are serious. If you want a fresh Real donut come over to the west side. Unreal vegan Donuts! Jah worthy! So Delicious!
google avatar

Jonathan B.

Yelp
No donuts for the 3rd time in a row....NEVER GOING TO TRY AGAIN. They need to be closed done. Never any donuts here..... they really need to do better. Like why say your open then when I go tO the store ....NO DOUNTS!!!! So WHAT DO YOU SELL???? AIR?
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
These doughnuts are really good! I mean truly amazing however I just wish they kept up with the demand! Sometimes I'll drive all the way to the west end only to find out their out of doughnuts and this has happened on quite a few occasions. The best vegan gluten free doughnuts I've ever had seriously hands down and respect to the business owner! Just a little tip it's better to be safe than sorry. Try making more product and if you have any left over then sale those half price the following day! :)
google avatar

Jade S.

Yelp
I have been following the donut man for a while on Instagram and always wished to be able to try these out. My wish came true today I'm here in Atlanta visiting and my niece and I drove almost an hour to get them. I brought 2 of everything and regret not getting more. OMG these donuts melt in your mouth, and they're VEGAN! Double thumbs up donut man!!! My new Atlanta dessert shop from now on.
google avatar

Tish D.

Yelp
Stopped in with a friend and picked up 3 doughnuts for $18. A blt pricey IMO even for specialty. I will say that the taste was very good. As non-vegans we really enjoyed everything.
google avatar

Moe w.

Yelp
So good. Owner so nice. I will definitely return when I'm in Atlanta. I had quite a few different flavors of donuts and juice. Everything is fresh. The donuts were very moist, melt in your mouth

Yelp
Highly recommend this place for those who are committed to natural health. After a 12 hour day of travel and sight seeing, I stopped by this place and got a real RECHARGE!

M. L.

Yelp
Over the holiday break I stop by Vegan Dream Doughnuts and I ordered two donuts. I don't remember both kinds but one of them was a strawberry caramel. I believe the reason why I remember this one the most is because it had the most flavor out of the two ordered. If I remember correctly, one doughnut is three dollars and two donuts cost five dollars. If you pay with a card there is a $.50 or $.55 charge added to the final bill. If you pay with cash it will be the total with no additional fees. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.
google avatar

Andrew F.

Yelp
I recommend you call ahead to make sure they have the donuts you want in stock. If they do, hit it up, because the donuts are surprisingly great. I feel like they easily compete with non-vegan donuts. Almost makes me feel guilty, considering I could eat clean and not crack an egg or two. Also, their juices are really good.
google avatar

Kitan A.

Yelp
First time customer! Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. I got two donuts and the watermelon power strong drink. My family will 100% be back! Sooooo good and happy to support this west end business!

Yelp
It almost pains me to write this review, but I feel obligated for my fellow self-proclaimed foodies. I arrived about 3p on a Friday and the donuts and cinnamon rolls were sitting on trays on a table in the middle of the room. They were in baggies. The donuts were labeled but the cinnamon rolls were not. The gentleman that sold me the food was super nice. But the donuts on the other hand were awful. I got 2 donuts and 1 cinnamon roll. Let's start with the ok, the cinnamon roll was strawberry and pineapple and it was ok. Sweet enough, flavorful and alright consistency, but just not great or amazing. The donuts on the other hand were the worst donuts/maybe desserts I have ever experienced. They were incredibly dense, dry, and I the 2 flavors I got tasted the same. They also left a weird after taste in your mouth. I always try to hype up black businesses and after seeing all the rave reviews I ran here, but I was extremely disappointed and will not be coming back.
google avatar

Nina L.

Yelp
I'm like really really into pastries and Ras makes the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. The cinnamon rolls are so good here that I've never actually tried anything else. I just keep wanting what I already had lol. I will definitely try more next time. I like the ones with carob on top and the ones with fruit on top. I saw the review where the sister said he opened his shop late one day. The sign says they open at noon, so I recommend you come at 1pm, because they seem to be operating on island time. African time. CP time- just keeping it real. I love them though- I always show up too early but wait patiently and it's all love when they come through. Every body not westernized/ colonized in the mind. That's actually a good thing. Jah Bless. One Love

Yelp
Vegan Dream Doughnuts is a small little spot located in the West End of Atlanta. I arrived on a Saturday, mid day and parked at the bank next door. I was excited to sample the donuts so I walked in with a smile. Once I opened the door, I was not impressed with the look and feel of the place. There were two booths to the left and no other seating. There was no lighting, only the environmental lighting from the sun through the windows. I guess they were conserving power. I dont know. Well, there was one person ahead of us who was discussing a business deal for selling his vegan cookies to the owner. We patiently waited until they were done and asked what items did they have for purchase today (there were only a few donuts on a steel tray and samples of those vegan cookies they were discussing when we arrived). I asked if the donuts are made fresh daily and he said yes. So, the vanilla and coconut donuts were $1.50 each and the donuts with fruit topping were $3 each. We purchased 2 vanilla, one coconut and two donuts with fruit topping. He also allowed us to sample a bean soup which was good and advised he had beans and rice. My friend ordered the beans and rice which were tasty. We waited to try the donuts when we got home and all of them were horrible! They were stale and the coconut and vanilla had no flavor while the fruit filled ones had an odd taste. One bite of each and in the trash they went!
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
The donuts were amazing. Nice fresh vegan and gluten free ingredients. I will be back.

Lia T.

Yelp
The service here is great. The owners were so nice, but at the same time the shop smelled like weed, so in combination with the lack of AC, it felt like I was in a trap house. They had a decent selection of donuts. We ordered 3 different flavors, but unfortunately they all tasted exactly the same but in different shapes. The flavor was overall good but for $3 a donut, I'd hope they wouldn't be smaller than even a Krispy Kreme donut and taste exactly the same. The 3 flavors we got were vastly different from each other, so it was really disappointing to see they had the same croissant like flavor that was covered in a sweet syrup. If this were based off service I'd give 5 stars, but unfortunately it's not.
google avatar

Minerva S.

Yelp
Call before you go .... cuz they don't always open on time . However , the Donuts are truly a DREAM... sinfully delicious yummyness !!! They have different flavors depending on the day but man they are fresh and moist but with a super delicate crunch & it just hits the spot every time !!! The cinnamon rolls with the fruit were just okay for me , but the DONUTS.... so worth it !!!
google avatar

Davion R.

Yelp
I went into the shop for the first time and some guys were playing PlayStation and told me they didn't have anymore donuts. All they had left was donut holes. I ended up buying some for $5 and they tasted old and off slightly. Bad experience overall, probably won't be back.

Yelp
Discovered this gem last night! My fiancé and I had already eaten and were looking for plant based desserts (we're going vegan). This place was open until midnight so it was perfect. We went into the shop and the owner was literally putting out fresh donuts!! He told us that the flavors rotate daily. He had vanilla banana coconut and lemon raspberry. They were 2 for $5 so I had one of each. You may choose between an original glaze or cinnamon sugar. He explained everything was completely vegan, the donuts are made with coconut flour and sweetened with agave nectar. Sold, sold, and sold! These were the best donuts I've ever had in my life. Very light, airy, flavorful, and just all around amazing. I'm going back today. I have to have more.
