"A vegan picnic sounds like somewhere you'll be served wheatgrass and encouraged to forage for berries. Hard pass. Conveniently, Vegan Picnic involves doughnuts, a shockingly passable/borderline delicious “crispy chicken” sandwich, and a caprese salad with dairy-free cheese. The space is designed to get you to your picnicking stat, with no tables and a counter-order set up, so plan accordingly." - Taylor Abrams

Hands down the best vegan ham and cheese croissant I’ve ever had. The restaurant is nestled into a quant little neighborhood in SF. Their all vegan menu is great for a quick bite for breakfast or something a little more substantial for lunch. The staff is super friendly and great at answering your questions. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend it. Especially if you haven’t had a croissant in a while, I had it twice in two days!

Cute little vegan spot with a small (but insanely impressive) menu. We had the grilled cheese, breakfast burrito, crispy chicken sandwich, and (of course) vegan doughnuts. Can't wait to return to SF for more goodies!

Very tasty but as a hard core vegan, this is only a expensive snack, I got the chicken sandwich super yummy. Glad to have v fan options. The place is to small, they don’t have plates. I will back.

Everything is vegan! Excellent grab and go foods, including donuts and breakfast burritos. There are a couple of small tables and a window bar but it's a small space so not much seating. Fast, friendly service. We went just as they opened on a Sunday and they didn't seem terribly busy at that moment. Everything tasted great. Fairly expensive but great quality for convenience food.

Delicious food! Crispy chicken sandwich is amazing, non-vegans enjoy it as well! Definitely will frequently visit to try the rest of the menu! I must respond to those with any negative experience of Vegan Picnic. The food is served VERY fast, yet this is not a fast food chain and to add to that there is just ONE person working the kitchen area typically. The food is SO refreshing because it's NOT typical veggie sandwiches and uncreative salads. If you want those things, 99% of non-vegan restaurants serve exactly that. What I find so refreshing about Vegan Picnic is that not only do they attempt to recreate non-vegan cuisine dishes but also totally NAIL them with delicious creations! It's a treat for those transitioning to vegan lifestyle, those who miss certain types of food, and those who have a significant other who has a meat based diet. Keep it up Vegan Picnic! Would love to see you guys try making a vegan tuna melt! :)

I ordered the breakfast burrito and was blown away by how flavor packed it was. I asked the gentleman across from me how he was enjoying his chicken and waffles and he had only good things to say as well. The ambience is small but chic and service was prompt. This would definitely be a spot I'd visit again!

Let’s just get to the point! Their food is really, really good! I had the breakfast sandwich and the giant donut and they were both masterpieces. First off, google maps stated they opened at 9AM so when we arrived outside around 855AM we read that they didn’t actually open until 930AM. Kind of bummed out since we were very hungry. However, the employee inside insisted we come in and he was more than happy to serve us. Jax was very outgoing, friendly, and you could tell he really cared about his customers. Okay, now time to talk about the restaurant- very clean and they played good music. One down side, seating is very limited. But, given how they served the breakfast sandwich, this place is more like a to-go restaurant. Parking: on-street parking, nothing new to the SF area. Overall: if you’re in the SF area then you need to come here, it won’t disappoint! Fantastic job, Vegan Picnic!!

Went with a few friends to try some food out in SF. Chicken and waffles sandwich was AMAZING. The egg salad (didn't try the sandwich, but just the standalone salad from the fridge) was awesome too! Their donuts though... Those were STUNNING. Stuffed with cream, totally worth it.
