"Veggie Garden serves Chinese American comfort food in a casual setting. Incorporating meat substitutes in dishes, the restaurant is known for vegan renditions of classics like kung pao “chicken”, orange “chicken,” and sweet and sour “pork.” The restaurant also offers veggie-forward, aromatic dishes like basil eggplant, while garlic noodles and wontons are some of the most commonly ordered items. Lunch is an especially busy time for the restaurant, as many regulars take advantage of the specials that come with generous, filling portions." - Cathy Park, Paolo Bicchieri

Had high hopes for this place but I was a bit disappointed. The menu is extensive and I had fun picking out some of my favorite dishes. However I ordered sesame chicken and it just tasted like sweet and sour chicken. Didn’t look very appetizing either. The wontons were mentioned to be in chili oil but they were drizzled with a sweet sauce that overpowered the dish. It was giving fusion vibes and not in a good way. Then I had a side salad and all together with rest of my dishes, the restaurant was just… all over the place. I can’t give the cuisine here any real identity, which makes the flavor profiles weak. The beef and broccoli was the best thing but it had the fake meat taste that made it really hard to enjoy. Sauce was tasty though. I want to return and give it another try, but for first impressions, I’d say go in with lower expectations

Google
Vast menu of vegan Chinese food. Sweet & sour pork had great sauce but meh fake meat, basil eggplant and tofu was excellent, scallion pancakes were crisp and tasty, pot stickers and spring rolls were good, and the vegetable fried rice was truly outstanding. Service was prompt and efficient. Atmosphere very informal with soothing soft music in the background. I’ll definitely go back again.

Got takeout from here. The Basil Eggplant is straight 🔥. I enjoyed the Kung Pao Chicken as well. Some of the other food (Chow Mein, Hot and Sour Soup) was good but not exceptional. Would order from here again!

Google
This place is a find for vegan dining in the Bay Area. They have a large menu and they serve Americanized Chinese vegan food. We got the pepper chicken noodles, dumplings and hot and sour soup. The soup and the noodles were outstanding and the dumplings were pretty average. The place is clean and the service is great. There is plenty of parking around and seating inside.

Google
Basil Eggplant & Garlic Eggplant 10/10. Perfect texture, as it has a little firmness to it and the sauce is light and savory. I prefer the basil over the Garlic because the basil flavor was stronger. Kung Pao Chicken 10/10. This is the best dish you can order. Chicken is moist and flavorful. And the veggies taste great with the spicy sauce. There is NO sweetness in this dish, which meets my palate. Chicken Chow Fun 8/10: This is NOT the same chicken from the Kung Pao. It is what you would expect with noodles, vegetables, and stringy, spongy fake meat. I recommend the Black Pepper Chow Mein if you are looking for noodles because it has a rich sauce. General Chicken: 7/10: I would say these are meatballs rather than chicken. The texture was not crisp enough. I would recommend throwing these things in an air fryer oven for 10 minutes and then eating them. Once Crispy, it is much more enjoyable. Black Pepper Chicken 7/10: Same meat as the General Chicken but more flavorful due to the sauce. However, quantity is much lower than the General Chicken. Veggie Duck 5/10: No flavor. Just bland raw meat as if it's a chewy steak with no sauce. I do like the bean curd though. I wouldn't recommend this dish though.

Google
This restaurant is a great find for vegan Chinese food in the Bay Area. Their menu is full food options, from appetizers to main course to desserts. The taste is out of the world! And the service is very fast. The servers are kind and the prices are reasonably good. I highly recommend you try this place and bet you will love it!

Google
Bang for your buck experience here at Veggie Garden. 🍛Food is awesome, 🎯Serving is HUMONGOUS, 💳Prices are reasonable 📣Servers are quick and attentive Definitely all ✔️✔️✔️ I had the Mapo Tofu lunch special, it comes with noodles and rice. I could not resist the Thai Iced Tea. Will definitely come back for more.

I was trying to have some good vegan food and just happened to cross path with this place. It was an absolute delight to eat here. I ordered a hot and sour soup, vegetarian pot stickers, vegetarian chicken noodles. All the dishes lived up to their expectations. There was only one lady serving, possible the owner. She attends you well, serves you very well. The service is very fast and good. I highly recommend trying this vegan place.

Yelp
I rarely go to a restaurant twice within a few months as we are spoilt for choices in the bayarea. But I had a hankering for the black pepper chowmein, so we made our way back here. In addition to the chowmein I also wanted to try some eggplant dish and we were suggested to get the basil eggplant. So here is the rundown of the dishes we tried this time- Black pepper chowmein- 5/5- I came back here just for this dish. It's really good. Definitely get this!!! Basil eggplant-5/5- another epic dish. Definitely ranks high on the best eggplant dishes I ever had. Not spicy but very savory without any sweet notes. It came with tofu as well which was equally delectable. Veggie fried rice- 4/5- delicious but very oily. There was no need for so much oil in this dish. Hopefully they take this feedback and work on improving it. Organic chicken salad- 4/5- my younger one wanted this. It came with a bunch of greens topped with lots of crispy wonton skins, fried "chicken" pieces and some dressing on the side. It was surprisingly good as the elements worked together cohesively. Vegetarian wonton with chilli oil- 4/5- another solid dish, the wontons were topped with some peanut sauce. It was a tad bit sweet, though I don't prefer sweetness in my savory dishes this was great as well. It's a very cosy little mom and pop style restaurant. I highly recommend giving them a try. I can assure you, you won't miss meat.

Yelp
Veggie garden is an Americanized Chinese vegan restaurant so a lot of dishes seem to highlight a variety of heavy, thick sauces whether it be the brown garlic sauce, lemon , etc. The sauce is delicious if that's the style you're craving! We got the basil eggplant, dry braised string bean, black pepper chow mein and garlic fish fillet. I think the base sauce for the eggplant, fish, and string bean was all the same (brown garlic sauce) but there was some distinctness to each dish, the basil really made a difference and was aromatic. The black pepper chow mein had a shockingly heavy amount of black pepper. I think some people love the heavy load but I definitely think it would be overpowering for others, can definitely get caught in the throat. The chow mein was good but a bit unsatisfying because there wasn't much of the noodles itself and had way more veggies. We didn't order rice because we wanted noodles to be the base. Eapecially taking into consideration the price is inexpensive for its location not only in mountain view, but in the bay in general. Truly I can see why this place receives so much love! Definitely would come back!

Yelp
Can't believe it took so long for me to try this place! It's right next to the vet I go to and I've had Veggie Garden bookmarked for awhile. Came by to pick up to go for lunch while visiting the vet. Lunch prices are reasonable and I thought portion sizes were good. The garlic eggplant lunch was enough for lunch and dinner for one person. They take Apple Pay and you can sub out rice for double chow mein :) Hope to be back!

Yelp
Veggie Garden is one of my favorite spots to frequent. The black pepper "chicken" is one of my favorite dishes of all time, and they have so much variety on the menu. The location is in a strip mall so not the most happening area, but definitely worth going for the food

Alissa D.

Yelp
**ORDER THE FOLLOWING and you'll leave happy... fried scallion pancakes, very garlicky noodle, gobi manchurian, crispy fried tofu, and vegan eel.

Lucy L.

Yelp
5 stars for offering a wide variety of vegan dishes, 4 stars for the flavorful but thick gravy in each dish, which would be even better if they lighten it up a bit. Conductive to sharing family style so you can try everything. I appreciate that the staff asked us whether anyone had any food allergies. Check out their specials written on the wall near the kitchen. Both white & brown rice are offered and you can even choose which rice you want your fried rice to be made with. We had: Kimchee fried rice Vegan Duck (my favorite) Vegan fried fish in lemon sauce Vegan beef & broccoli Garlic eggplant Choy sum & black mushrooms Vegan ribs with bell peppers This place is located in a small strip mall and has its own parking lot which is convenient. Prices are reasonable and portions are decent.

Ken C.

Yelp
Didn't miss the meat Came here with a vegetarian friend and was amazed at the quality of the food. We tried the hunan tofu and the thai basil "chicken". Both were prepared carefully, came out hot, and smothered in a delicious sauce. Hit all the traditional Chinese notes. Okay, the vegetarian dumplings were missing some porky goodness, but they weren't too bad. Prices were very reasonable as well and service was excellent

Yelp
I can't believe I've never written a review for Veggie Garden before - I'm a big fan! It's a place I have been going to occasionally for years, and every time I eat the food I say to myself how I need to come here more often. I really should branch out more and try more items from their extensive menu, but when you find something you like... for me, that's the black pepper chicken. I like the taste/texture of the chicken, and that there's lots of veggies added to the dish too. And of course, the sauce makes it all! My other regular item is the basil eggplant, because I love eggplant, and Veggie Garden's is great - I need to branch out to try more of their eggplant dishes. I most often get the food as takeout or delivery, but have dined in before. It's your standard strip-mall spot with about 10 tables - very casual, nothing fancy. You might want to make sure to specify your desired spice level, even if they don't ask. For me this makes a big difference (I want it spicy! But sometimes they don't make it that way if you don't ask).

Yelp
Amazing food! We loved everything we tried. The portions are sizable, and filling. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

Kate T.

Yelp
Got takeout from them on the weekend because we didn't want too big of a meal! We got dumplings, soup and mapo tofu. Our order was filled quickly and we were able to pick up our food on time. To me, their hot and sour soup is really delicious but definitely on the peppery side! Compared to the meat kind you get at other places, the version at Veggie Garden felt a lot less greasy in comparison. The veggie dumplings were also pretty good - I ended up putting them in the soup! Their mapo tofu was okay - maybe for this I'd prefer the meat version better. overall decent meal and would come by and try other things next time!

Sara B.

Yelp
So relieved to have VEGAN options for so many of our favorite Chinese dishes! We tried the chow fun, potstickers, cauliflower and string beans. All good and the service was attentive , but not overbearing. Amazingly hard to find decent vegan options in Silicon Valley, but this place was a hit and we will be back. In a non-descript small strip mall on El Camino Real. Worth a try!!

kavitha h.

Yelp
This has become our favorite go-to place for some hearty comfort food. All their dishes are delicious, generous and served quick. I love their location so close to home. I enjoy going here mostly for take outs.

Mary A.

Yelp
This place is a gem! If there's a restaurant that could convince me to go vegetarian for life, this would be the spot. All of your traditional Chinese dishes turned vegetarian/vegan thanks to the use of soy! I brought my dad here for his birthday because he's not much of a meat eater these days, but he still loves Chinese dishes. He ended up getting the Black Pepper Chicken Chow Mein and I got the Sweet and Sour Pork (usually my go to at Chinese restaurants). If you love black pepper, you will love the black pepper chow mein. The dish is so full of black pepper that you can just taste it at the forefront of every bite. I took a bite out of it and it was a little much for me, but my dad absolutely enjoyed it! As for me, I loved my sweet & sour pork. If you gave this dish to me without telling me that the meat was replaced with soy, I wouldn't have questioned it. They do such a great job recreating the dish with soy such that you wouldn't know the difference! Not to mention that the flavor really comes through and the dish is super tasty throughout! The entrees don't come with rice, so you do have to order rice separately. Best part of all this is that it's not super expensive! Almost every dish on the menu is under $15 per plate, and they give you a hefty serving! Absolute must go!

Nora H.

Yelp
Veggie garden is not only my favorite vegan restaurant but their staff is the sweetest! Tonight I came to pick up my partners birthday dinner and arrived early. As a happy birthday they gave us both free Thai tea! The food is so tasty and the staff is incredible! Come give it a try and tip them well!!! We love you veggie garden!!! Thank you for always making our experience incredible, regardless of if it's dine in or take out

Yelp
We were there on a Sunday evening and last guest, probably, as there was no one there. It's a small restaurant in a strip center. We started off with hot and sour soup and fried scallion pancakes. So we can have the appetizer come in while we decide on the rest of the order. We were told the kitchen will be closing soon and to order the rest of the items. We ordered basil eggplant, basil vegetatable chow mein, kimchi fried rice, and thai green curry along with some white rice. We got our hot and sour soup, it was hot but no heat and not enough seasoning, but since it was a soup, no biggie we added salt, tasted ok. We started to receive other items, but the appetizer pan cake was the last to arrive. But it was worth the wait. It was different. It was like a sandwich with sauce in between, and it tasted great. Fried scallion pancakes are a must-have at this place. We had ordered all dishes at spice level 3 (level 1 to 4). Kimchi fried rice was good, but Kimchi was not to be found, though there were some cabbage pieces, but they were not kimchee. It can pass for decent fried rice. It was not spicy. Basil Eggplant was not only looking good and tasted good as well spice level was ok, I will say it was level 2, not 3. Basis vegetatable chow mein spice level was 3 they had used rhe thick noodle coated nicely with sauce and little chewy tasted good as well. Thai Green curry was more like a pink/red curry. See the picture, and it tasted like one. Though tasted ok, but not as expected.

Yelp
Came by for lunch during the work week around 11:30 and it wasn't too busy. I had the string beans with brown rice and Singapore noodles. I've never tried Singapore noodles before and I was definitely digging it! It's like pancit but with curry powder. So good! The fried tofu is awesome too! They are like fluffy tofu pillows. Not too oily or salty. I can eat the entire serving. I'll be back to try their other dishes.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
What a find! Came here with a girlfriend on Lunar New Year and enjoyed our experience. Loved the variety of vegetarian options! Scallion Pancakes - This was my friend's favorite of what we ordered and was my least favorite. I felt that it lacked scallions, but it was a good dough item to balance out the oil in the other dishes. Kimchi Fried Rice - This was good, but I'm weak to spice, so I probably wouldn't get it again. Spicy Eggplant and Tofu - This was the perfect amount of spice for me and was my favorite of what we ordered. The eggplant was perfect--not mushy like other places. String Beans - A staple order and was cooked well with just the right amount of crisp. Thai Soy Milk Tea - The soy milk tasted fresh, and the drink was lovely. At boba places, I don't typically order soy milk because the drink feels watered down--not the case here. I will order this every time I come. The service was good, and the ambiance was nice--not upscale, not a hole in the wall, but comfortable. Looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
This is my new favorite vegetarian restaurant. Off the top of the bat, the menu states "Americanized Chinese Cuisine" and the food appeals to my palate. Here's what my table of 4 ordered: A8 Pepper and Salt Fried Tofu A3 Homemade VG Wonton with Chili Sauce (8) S9 Black Pepper Chicken Chow Mein E36 Garlic Eggplant E27 Thai Green Curry E19 Crispy Fried Tofu with Minced Vegetables We had some leftovers, but who doesn't love leftovers. Service was fast and competent. I can't wait to return.

Sophia M.

Yelp
Accidentally discovered this vegetarian restaurant, and it was such a delightful experience! The menu had a wide variety of vegetarian options, and every dish we ordered were delicious... My son especially love the veggie chicken noodle. Excellent service and clean environment, can't wait to come back soon!

Quang P.

Yelp
Drinks 10/10! Got Thai soy milk tea and lychee sake slush (alc) both were fantastic!! Food overall: everything was a vegan take on traditional Asian food and all was yummy. I would say though that a lot of the flavor profile was not what I expected from these dishes I grew up eating but they were still delicious in their own ways nevertheless. We got Kimchee fried rice (a little spicier than expected), scallion pancake (sooo good and crispy), black pepper chicken, wonton in chili sauce (sweeter than expected). All the dishes came out very beautiful and very quickly! Service was kind and fast. Love this mom and pop shop. Would come back again!

Paul S.

Yelp
This is a very unassuming looking little place at the corner of San Antonio Rd and El Camino. We were looking for a vegetarian dinner of Chinese or Asian food and this fit the bill perfectly. Awesomely great food with super fast and friendly service. I uploaded pics of our food. All dishes were a hit! I especially liked: A8: salt and pepper fried tofu E36 :Garlic eggplant This is good that is not just good vegetarian, but absolutely great food, period! For me (J-A sansei), the balance of spiciness is perfect. If you want spicier, they'll adjust up for you. Really accommodating. Anyways, best a path here. Great food at modest (for these times) prices.

Lisa H.

Yelp
OMgoodness! Why o Why haven't I been here before? It's a very unassuming store front and I drive by it ALL THE TIME lol But today I was really wanting a vegan wonton soup and I thought this place was vegetarian but EVERYTHING is actually vegan - woot woot! So I got my large soup = the wontons on the side - housemade and they it was so satisfying once I added a bit of white pepper and a tad more garlic to it. I also tried the lunch special of Mongolian Chicken expecting to not enjoy it as a lot of meat substitutes are weird but not this one - so tasty and yet not chicken flavored which I appreciated - and you automatically get brown rice and some noodles with it. Super friendly and dang are they fast at cooking - my order came out in less than 5 minutes it seemed and I saw a guy sit down and order - and no kidding like 3 minutes later - his lunch was served! Lunch deals are really generous = definitely already thinking about getting more of that soup tomorrow and curious about their rendition of eel - maybe mushroom based? If you are looking for some veggie love in your life - come here!

Lisa B.

Yelp
Did a quick take out order and the order was ready on time and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking in the small strip mall was easy. Decor was just the basics. The take out order was well packaged and nothing opened or was smooshed. The orange chicken was flavorful (deep fried chicken chunks in a heavy orange glaze) with more than ample rice. If I ordered again I'd add broccoli to have some veg in there and to cut the sauce a bit. The spring rolls good - 3 smaller size egg rolls well fried with a dipping sauce. The wonton soup was ok - the broth wasn't as flavorful as I would hope - but the portion on a small was a lot of broth.

Henry M W.

Yelp
String beans correct flavor but over cooked. Price was right just wished they disntovercook the string beans dried fried and vegetarian didn't miss the meat..... But they did offer brown rice ... Great option for us diabetics ... As a reminder gravy has cornstarch so they need to lighten up on the gravy otherwise they should switch to arrow root instead of corn starch as a thickener. To control the blood sugar.

Liza M.

Yelp
Pretty average chinese vegetarian food. Some dishes are pretty good but I don't think they're very consistent unfortunately. sad to say that the egg rolls are not allium-free. A lot of dishes can be made allium-free tho!

Amon K.

Yelp
Tasty, fresh, flavorful and very friendly. Our family had a pleasant and wonderful meal! Will definitely return.

DatHomeless M.

Yelp
Ordered E14 VG curry chicken and side of rice . It was decent just because of the seasoning, however the curry chicken tasted like a sponge literally and I had fake chicken before that I bought from grocery stores and it never tasted like this ... but overall I give a 4/10 just because of the seasoning .... :( this place wasn't for me I guess ...

Jade F.

Yelp
I came here with a friend and got the basil vegetarian chow fun and thai green curry. They were both good, but enjoyed the chow fun more. It's had to get chow fun, so anytime I see it, I like to get it. We sat comfortably. The place wasn't crowded on a Tuesday night. The staff was nice and attentive.

vivek v.

Yelp
Ordered from here several times. Consistent and good food with reasonable prices. Portions are good for two people to share with some rice.

Douglas O.

Yelp
The food is so authentic it was hard to believe it is not real meat. I have come here many times and always impressed with how good the food tastes. The service is prompt and very professional. The subdued ambiance makes for easy conversation.

Sivasa L.

Yelp
I enjoy coming here because of their food and their service. I especially appreciate the fact that they're very professional at least with my experiences here. They also offer options to go and they're pretty quick so you're in and out in roughly 15 to 20 minutes. The place is filled with natural light and it's a bright place to come and bring your whole family with you. The only rough part about coming to this place, possibly, is the fact that the parking is limited because it's such a small space that they share with other businesses. However, they are conveniently located right off of El Camino next to a larger parking lot which I am sure you can find a parking space and still make it to this restaurant.

Ashleigh H.

Yelp
omg this place is SO delicious!! I highly recommend! I got the orange VG chicken and it was so crispy and so tasty I am going to miss it when I go back home (,: [visiting from Florida] Do yourself a favor and go here for your next restaurant date night!!!

Debbie D.

Yelp
|PARKING| They have a shared lot, which has a decent amount of spaces. I presume people usually pick-up their orders so parking isn't an issue. |SERVICE| The service was odd and I've never experienced this at any other place. As previously stated, I think people tend to grab and go, and it felt like the staff did the bare minimum in serving their customers in-house. We ordered our food at the counter and ended up picking out our own seats. What really confused me was that they served our food in take-out boxes and gave us paper plates. On top of that, they gave us those cheap chopsticks that split unevenly when you break them apart. My friend said it was probably to cut down cost of hiring a dishwasher, but of course, at the cost of the environment. |FOOD & PRICE POINT| We got the jjajangmyeon, dumplings, and black pepper chicken chow mein. Everything was decently portioned, and I felt the amount was generous for the price point in today's economic times. We really enjoyed the dumplings and chow mein, but the jjajangmyeon gave me spaghetti vibes. The sauce they poured over the noodles contained carrots, peas, and a minced faux meat. I've never tried a Chinese version of jjajangmyeon (only the Korean kind), so it was interesting to try a new version. I would also say that their chow mein is more like chow fun, but nevertheless, we loved this dish. The food here is really tasty and the employees dedicate their hard work into creating a delicious taste. I personally would order to-go next time than eat at the restaurant though.

Vanessa H.

Yelp
Casual unassuming surroundings and fast friendly service met our travel weary bones. Delicious filling vegetarian fare sated our empty tummies. The number of southeast Asian local patrons was suggestive of the authenticity, and we were not disappointed. We had the spring rolls cooked to just the right crispness, the green beans with black bean sauce that was complexly flavorful and not salty. The cauliflower was tender without being mushy and again seasoned just right. A quotidian delight that was reasonably priced to be sampled over and over again if I lived in the area.

Jane R.

Yelp
This place of business needs to train their employees on how to better treat their paying customers. I placed my order thru Uber eats & when I went to pick up my order the two girls working there treated me like I was trying to steal the order! I told the two Asian girls working there my name and that still did not satisfy them. They demanded to see the order on my phone and were very rude about it. Based on previous Yelp reviews, I can see this is their way of conducting business. I will not return.

Mr L.

Yelp
Ordered Chow Fun to go and asked the person who answered the phone what they recommended. She said Black Pepper Chicken and General's Chicken, so we got the General's Chicken. The food was ready fast, like 15 minutes. It was still hot when we got back home. The Chow Fun was below average, I've had better at several places nearby. The General's Chicken was not really edible. We had one bite and said yuck. So this was our first time visiting this place. We usually don't eat vegan food, but order vegetarian dishes at other places in town. This was a major disappointment. We ended up throwing away the entire order of Genera's Chicken and ate about 70% of the Chow Fun between the both of us. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes but we won't be back. Dropped $40 on food we threw away :-( Food 1 star Service 4 stars Ambiance - Can't comment on ambiance since we got the food to go.

Tanya S.

Yelp
Rude server and the food is average tasting and bland. They even got my order wrong and didn't seem to care.

Yelpy Y.

Yelp
Ordered S11 VG chicken chow fun and VG chicken Kung Pao and waiting our orders to be made. Hungry. Will update the review after eating

Karenna L.

Yelp
Hands down the best Chinese food restaurant in the Bay Area! The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. Staff friendly and the restaurant was immaculately clean. Totally worth it and highly recommend the Thai green curry. We will be back, drove over an hour each way to get here and it was so worth it!!

Jenn C.

Yelp
Excellent service, delicious fresh vegetable and plant-based protein. Pleasant environment and good prices. I enjoyed a lunch special of Kung pao chicken which included brown rice, and some delicious rice noodles with cabbage and bean sprouts, a thaisoy milk tea, and a green onion pancake. I look forward to visiting this place again.

Yelp
My family and I have been working in Mountain View just around the corner from Veggie Garden for 20 years and I have JUST found this wonderful restaurant a few weeks ago. I can't believe I've missed out on this amazing food for so long. For starters, the menu is huge! And also, the prices are great! I have a family of 7, so ordering a bunch of food from here is no problem. The staff is super friendly and fast. Super great restaurant. I definitely recommend for all local vegans. :)

Alka S.

Yelp
Veggie Garden will leave your taste buds dancing with joy! As a dedicated vegan food enthusiast, I was thrilled to stumble upon this hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant many years ago. From the moment I stepped inside, the delicious aroma set the tone for an unforgettable dining adventure. Let's start with the star of the show - the food! Veggie Garden's commitment to using quality ingredients is evident in every dish they serve. The flavors are not only balanced but truly unmatched in their execution. The menu is a tantalizing journey through traditional Chinese flavors reimagined in vegan form, and each bite is a testament to the chef and owner's culinary mastery. I couldn't help but marvel at the sheer variety of dishes available on the menu. The salt & pepper tofu appetizer boasts a crispy exterior that gives way to a tender and satisfying interior, creating a perfect bite. The Black Pepper "Chicken" is a harmonious blend of textures and spices that left me craving more. And don't even get me started on my favorite dish, Black Pepper "Chicken" Chow Mein! It's savory, full of flavor and you can taste the fresh black pepper and ingredients used in the dish. What truly sets Veggie Garden apart, though, is the passion and dedication of its owner. The owner's kindness and hardworking spirit radiate throughout the restaurant, creating an atmosphere that feels like dining with family. Their commitment to providing an exceptional vegan dining experience is palpable, and it's evident that they pour their heart and soul into every aspect of the establishment. In a world where plant-based dining options are gaining well-deserved recognition, Veggie Garden stands out as a shining example of what can be achieved when passion and tradition come together. I wholeheartedly believe that supporting establishments like Veggie Garden is not only a culinary delight but a step towards a more sustainable and compassionate future. If you're a vegan food lover or simply curious about exploring new flavors, Veggie Garden is a must-visit destination. Prepare to be wowed by the quality of ingredients, the unmatched flavors, and the heartwarming hospitality that defines this exceptional Chinese restaurant. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!

Yelp
Haven't tried the food yet. This is more about service. The one server was rude. Although she took my order Togo order she wouldn't hand anything to me directly. I was standing right in the front waiting for my food after I ordered and when it was ready she left it on the table to my right and just walked away and just said" here." I asked if it was mine because I was bit confused that it was my order she confirmed. I then went on to ask for Chilli oil and she placed one prefilled in front of me on a bill plate, I asked for a second one and she said I can use the ones for the table (for the sit down customers) but I wanted a to go container so I can add it freshly. She took a while to grab the next container and it was empty so I could fill it up on my own even though they had prefilled ones. This time I'm standing closer to where she placed the first one and instead of handing it directly to me she tries to put it in front of me. I put my hand out so she couldn't move past my hand and she kept trying. So she put it in my hand. I left after that. I ordered the wonton soup and the shrimp fried rice and they only give you 4 tiny wonton for the entire soup the rest is spinache veggies and carrots. It's weird to me you only get four and their tiny not worth the money and I haven't tasted anything yet

Yelp
Love the food. The Singapore noodles are delish! Everything we've tried has been yummy!

Yelp
Service was excellent -- we went in a Chinese-speaking group and we experienced pleasant service. Ambiance was a little bit shoddy but the food was EXCELLENT. Not too salty or greasy like how many restaurants do it.

Yelp
Love that there is yet another wonderful vegan friendly Asian restaurant located in the South Bay. Veggie Garden offers a huge menu of items that primarily mimic standard Chinese-American fare, but they seem to be branching into other cuisines like Korean and Thai. Regardless of whether you are vegan or not, the food here is bomb and you're going to find something to enjoy. We ordered their "Very Garlicky Noodle," Sesame Chicken, and Happy Family (a medley of veggies and meats in their house sauce). Everything reminded me of when my parents used to run a restaurant and they'd bring home food like this for us. Only this time, everything is vegan friendly. Their Sesame Chicken was fantastically prepared - light coating with a tangy sauce and a side of broccoli. We love it when dishes give you more veggies to compensate for the processed mock meats. I also enjoyed the garlic noodles and was excited that they used thick rice noodles, when most shops use egg noodles and butter - making them not vegan. During the pandemic, they've become more no-frills mom and pop type of shop, and I am here for it. They serve everything in takeout boxes and you eat on paper plates and plastic utensils to save on costs and contact. This method does make it easy at the end to take leftovers home. I would love to come by again to try more of their dishes because what we had already was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend coming and supporting this local business if you're able.

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem. Amazing food and great, fast service! We will continue to be repeat customers. Best chow mein we've ever had.

Yelp
try out their lunch specials! they got a ton of variety and they come with both noodles and brown rice.. it's almost as if you got a sampler plate! parking is a lil small - i havent really had any problem with that as i have just walked here to order and pickup food.

Yelp
Food is always bomb and provided very fast. Staff are lovely, and lunch deals are wonderful. One of my favorite lunch spots
