We came here for a bachelorette bar crawl and the crowd was odd. A mix of young people and people celebrating a 50th birthday, so the karaoke song choices were all over the place. Despite it being packed inside, the crowd was kind of quiet. The DJs even sang a few songs (very well) I think in attempt to get the crowd to be more lively.
As for the drinks, holy moly are they extremely overpriced. We stopped at another bar earlier in the night and paid $37 for a round of two tequila sodas and four beers. However, at the velvet lounge you'd but lucky to pay that for three drinks. Not sure why they're so expensive, they aren't anything that special.
Staff were a mix of nice and not so nice. Maybe they get annoyed with bachelorette groups or maybe they hate their lives, not sure.
Like I said, the place was packed so there wasn't much seating room. There were two single stall bathrooms and there was always a line for them. They were clean enough but they need more or people need to stop spending 10 minutes in there.
Overall, this place is overpriced and the vibes are weird. Locals were really hyping this place up and maybe for small town Texas this place is the place to be, but not for us. There was a cover charge of $10 on top of the expensive drinks, but they at least took cash or card. Maybe we just had a weird crowd and need to go back when it's a bit more wild.
