Velvet Taco WIll Open at Plano’s Legacy Hall | Eater Dallas

"A DFW-born taco chain is opening a new outpost inside the food hall at Plano’s Legacy West this spring. The location will be the brand’s tenth overall (after expanding from its 2011 Dallas debut to Houston, Austin, Fort Worth and Chicago, with an Atlanta site planned) and will include an outdoor patio and a pickup window for faster service. The Legacy Hall stall will run a pared-down menu of five tacos — notably chicken tikka masala, smoked brisket and Cuban Pig — plus a rotating weekly special and favorites such as elotes and red coconut curry queso. First time visited Velvet Taco and amazed with the Taco’s. Had great options in Taco’s, I have tired Tofu Taco and Paneer Taco. They are very good in taste and well served. Quality and Quality of the Taco’s are very good. Restaurant has been maintained very clean. Service is very excellent and served very well. Will try different Taco’s in future for sure. I have went with my family on weekday. Crowd is very decent. Waited for 5 min for placing the order. Food is served in less than 5 min.

Last night was not my first time at Velvet Taco. It was my 1st time (and last) at this location. I ordered a Nashville Hot Tofu and a Fried Paneer. I have had both of these tacos at other locations. The Fried Paneer taco had a piece of paneer floating in a puddle of something. I picked it up, tilted it, and liquid poured from it. Pretty much one piece of paneer and a tortilla floating in watery liquid.

I tried three of their favorites from the menu, and I have to say, the beef burger really stood out—it's like a classic hamburger but elevated. The shrimp dish was also pretty good, adding a nice variety to the meal. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend these two items

First time visiting Velvet Taco and the tacos are great! I tried the fish taco and one rotisserie chicken taco. Both are packed with meat and veggies, so I recommend getting a fork. I chose corn tortillas, but there's also a flour option. The service was cordial and delightful. Overall, a good food experience.

I ordered the elote dip with chips, brisket taco, and shrimp taco. All my items were great! The taco were bigger than street tacos but tasted similar. The tortillas were fresh and fully loaded. The dip was amazing, I wish I could have ordered a gallon to take with me. The service was fast and everybody working was super friendly

Awesome! Loved this so much! Smashed Burger Taco was a melt in your mouth deliciousness! Also had the buffalo chicken taco.... both fantastic!

Staff member was friendly. Red velvet cake looked and tasted amazing. The tacos looked amazing but I was full. I only wanted a slice of cake. It was a huge slice. You won't be disappointed.
