This place is a fantastic ice cream parlor! 🍨 Venchi on Broadway 🗽 serves an incredible selection of delicious 🤤 ice cream 🍦 flavors! Definitely get the Hazelnut 🌰 Ice Cream with Chocolate 🍫 Spread! Staff 👨‍🍳 is friendly and service is quick. ⏲️ The place is beautifully decorated 🛋️ and the ambience 🎶 is great. I wish I came here more often!

This place is a dreamy gelateria and chocolate boutique; savoring a gelato by their chocolate waterfall makes for a comforting breather. I tried their cremino gelato when I visited. Much like its namesake, the gelato consists of a creamy Piedmont hazelnut gelato base and a topping of smooth Italian chocolate spread. Coupled with the chocolate hazelnut lining on the inside of the serving cup, it made for a truly decadent dessert!

We had an amazing experience at this shop! Miriam was so sweet and helpful and helped us to pick out the best chocolate flavors. She was so invested in finding the chocolate that would best suit our palette. We tasted delicious dark, milk, pistachio, and creamy flavors, each one a delight to the senses. 10/10 would recommend and if you go, you should definitely ask for Miriam’s help!

It's a beauty store. Instead of ice cream, this store is more emphasized on chocolate. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We loved varieties of chocolates and gift boxes. The store was not only fun to visit but also helpful You desperately need a gift idea. The ice cream or gelato is a good reason to stop by here when in the area.

I can never decide what I want when I come to Venchi and my mom not only dragged me into this gelato and chocolate heaven. She got me to try the Gelato Signature. Rich and sweet. The perfect Treat to a mom and daughter date. Muhammad was so helpful and had my mom in bliss with her raspberry.

Stumbled upon this place and I’m so glad I did!!! Miriam was an amazing host and provided a mini tour of this location. She was quite knowledgeable about the gelato and history of the brand. Their pistachio gelato is authentic and has no color additives :) I think I’ve overlooked this place during summer when there’s a line out the door, but if you visit during chillier days or off peak times, it is very much worth it!

Wow!! Amazing hot chocolate and chocolate selection here! Happy that they keep the main door open for good air ventilation, which can be seen by the CO2 meter reader. The staff member is friendly. Seating is limited, so it is primarily a takeout place.

It was one of those days when you are exploring NYC, just trying to find new spots and then I found Venchi.... I would like to start mentioning that I didn't know it was possible to make all those different chocolate flavors plus using them as a creative way to decorate the shop!! You will find in here a bunch of different chocolates to try if you are a lover and also different gift options. On the other side, their gelato was incredible tasty and with everything you can ask for a gelato (Spoiler: they add a small pice of their chocolates on top of your cone) One of my favorite part of this experience was that at the back of the shop, they have a simulation of a chocolate fountain where you can sit to enjoy your goodies. With that said, I would recommend this place for a friend date, a romantic date or just to enjoy a sweet craving.

Stumbled upon Venchi, post EV dinner, looking for a little sweet treat. Well, unfortunately, you literally get a very, VERY SMALL treat at Venchi. Pictured is the Large - you do get 3 different (small) scoops that fit / flavors. Almost $11. It is worthy it, but overall, the place is a bit overpriced for what you get. Ordering was fine, there was just one small line that moved quickly. The employees were very polite, helpful and attentive. The place is small, with limited seating in the back (next to a cool-looking chocolate wall fountain.) NOTE: Not sure if this will make a difference, but beware of a crazy homeless person loitering around Union Square. He ended up blocking the entrance / exit when we were leaving (scary), as he was very aggressive and belligerent. The cops had to be called, and the managers seemed to be aware of this happening previously. Thank God nothing major happened, the guy ended up walking off, but every patron in the place was very unsettled and had to stay in the back as the employees / managers were trying to deal with the situation. The managers were keeping everyone calm and even offered us a coffee on the house, which was very nice of them to do.

Store is extremely unorganized. You have people ordering form all directions. Mohammad and Daya are terrible with their service. Both of them couldn't handle ONE simple order because they were busy attending to other customers at the same time. Are your employees not trained to provide appropriate service and time for each customer? Terrible.

I've come to Venchi many times, always packed so expect a wait. The lines are long but worth it. I've had many flavors but the raspberry sorbet has to be my favorite for sure. Their crepes are delicious so try that too if you can. Overall, love Venchi!

Venchi remains a 5 star review in my books. As a chocolate lover, I absolutely love coming here for the gelato, the aesthetics, the chocolate.. everything. If you're buying chocolate, milk baciodidama is my favorite. It has a small crunchy layer at the bottom that I looooooveeeeeee. Also don't sleep on the hazelnut spread - a must if you love nutella!!! Last time I was there one of the workers was soooooo darn nice, helped me pick chocolate out and gave me free samples as I decided which ones I wanted :) TY for being so kind.

Whenever I want the BEST gelato, I always look for Venchi. This Venchi was on another level! The moment you enter, your attention goes straight to the rear of the eatery. It is adorned by a cascading flow of, what seems to be, chocolate! Below these beautiful falls, you'll find a very comfortable and posh seating area, with tables. The gelato is always award winning. I love how they have cups, where interiors are coated with delicious chocolate and piedmont hazelnuts, that infuse into your selection. I cannot recommend Venchi, enough. If you're in the Union Square area, please pay them a visit. You'll not only enjoy mesmerizing gelato, but you'll be surrounded by memorable esthetics

Great place for dessert. Even when it's cold. They have some seating in the back. No line when we went. I got a baby size with a chocolate coating on the cup with vanilla. Super good and the perfect size for me. They sell chocolates too.

I've been to several of these around the world and this location seems to be the largest and the nicest I've been to worldwide. The staff were nice and attentive and the quantity and quality are great. They'll let you sample before you commit to your flavors. In my case I choose three but only sampled one. I highly recommend you get the cone with dark chocolate and roasted or candied hazelnut. It's great. You can't be disappointed especially if you're a chocoholic like me. Wish I could sample the chocolates too.

Waited for 40 min in line for a scoops of ice cream. Only four groups were ahead of us, but the staff are not trained and whoever is managing here probably thought they can hire x4 untrained staff and everything would magically work. Beautiful decors, but that's about it.

A cup of Cremino gelato eaten in front of the wall of cascading chocolate is therapeutic and hypnotizes me. I like the assortment of chocolates and sweets in plentiful supply here. On Wednesday after sushi, I came for an ice cream . While looking, Jancsi, a charming employee, told me that she liked pistachio and ate some ice cream every day. I told her that National Pistachio Day was celebrated recently. I have been coming here since they opened and always find a chocolate worth buying by the piece. Wish it were in handfuls!

Cute spot in Midtown for ice cream, was busy late on a Saturday night. I got the mango gelato and it was super creamy and tart - delicious! Also came with a chocolate coin on top. One of the better gelatos I've had in NYC! Would give this place a 4.5 but rounding down to 4 due to the cramped storefront.

Beautiful store with a chocolate waterfall in the back. The entire place is filled with so many varieties of chocolates and looks impressive. I picked some that looked fancy and delicious as a gift for a friend. Ice cream and gelato are also delicious. We tried the regular size cone that had tiramisu and vanilla. The tiramisu was great. With the cone you get to pick the flavor dipping.

Popular spot for a late time snack. Theres always a line when we pass by this spot but I think its worth it. We grabbed a couple of brutto and buono and mango gelatos. Both were good with a rich flavor. The decor is chic, nice for pics and to bring visiting friends. Service was relatively quick and friendly despite the line. They have vegan options for those with dietary retrictions which is a plus. I would return to try new flavors!

I have been meaning to try this iconic gelato place since maybe last year. They have several locations in NYC but the Flatiron one (just across of Union square) is the most popular. The lines outside were long but moved fast. We got the Pistachio gelato (one of our favorite flavors) and believe me when I tell you it tastes as creamy as it looks. I can totally see it melting very quickly if eaten outside when it is hot. They had several crepes and drinks on the menu as well, which I plan to try during my next trip. They have a seating area with a really ugly brown couch which is surrounded by their famous walls of cascading liquid chocolate - meh.

Stumbled upon Venchi randomly and that chocolate fountain inside is such a cool photo opp. Candies are on the pricier side, but they also serve a variety types of gelato. Line out the door on a Saturday night. Inside seating is limited but it is near the chocolate waterfall fountain. Staff are accommodating.

Excellent ice cream and a huge variety of chocolate. I don't know as many ice cream spots, this surely is delicious and a must have. 1 star for Customer service. I saw enough people behind the counter not busy and the wait time was too long, as it look like only 2 people were serving the ice cream. Because of my curiosity to taste this place I waited about 25 mins. To get an ice cream cone. Service too slow.

If you like chocolate/Nutella and also enjoy ice cream, this should be your go to place! I feel like they have mastered the flavors and I can't wait to go back and try more. You order the size that you want and add any toppings. Once your group is done ordering, the server will assist you with the flavors. I believe they have several locations in the city. This one was cool in particular, because the seating area in the back had a wall that looked like melting chocolate!

There was no reason for this place to be so aesthetically perfect! The water running down the back inside wall was fantastic! I constantly had to avoid letting my intrusive thoughts win and touching it. Also the gelato is delicious! The customer service was lovely. I liked that they offered both in door and outdoor seating. There was no line when I went and they are open pretty late!

Venchi has an insane array of vegan chocolates, including one of my favorites, gianduja (at least three varieties), all of it clearly marked with the happy V. Head to the wall, my friends. An entire wall of chocolates that you can individually pick for a gift box or a bag so you can gorge later. My husband became kind of obsessed with their gelato on past trips to Italy and I had no idea they have been in NYC for years. Weird I've walked past it many times without even noticing it until yesterday. We were hot and rather grumpy but just the sight of Venchi turns them frowns right upside down! As far as vegan gelato goes, sadly there is none. They do have several fruit sorbets and a chocolate sorbet too. Not too exciting, and not the best sorbet I've ever had (head to Veniero's for that). But that wall of chocolate! What!

I've always wanted to try venchi because of how opulent the store looks but am usually deterred by the line of tourists! I came to the union square location on a Thursday night and luckily didn't have an issue. The gelato was good, but I will admit that I think there are better gelato spots (like Anita's). I did like the union square location though a lot because there was a ton of seating available both in and outdoors! We were a group of 10 people and they were very quick in getting our orders! I also liked the level of customization - you can add milk chocolate inside the cone, decide what toppings flavor your cone, have a decent amount of ice cream flavors to choose from, and can get many chocolate added to your already full cone!! I would come back again!

This place is so cool! Chocolate heaven!! We randomly found this place yesterday after walking around the park.The line was out the door.The girl at the register saw that we were new to this place and answered questions we had my hubby was looking for a refreshing coffee drink she told him about this one that had there gelato and it was absolutely delish! She also let us skip the line for some reason LoL. While she made my husband's espresso gelato drink small $8 I shopped for chocolate.The selection of chocolate was so overwhelming,I wanted to try everything! Walking out we both looked at each other and said why didn't we get a gelato they looked out of this world! Next time...

Yes I'll still make room for this after overeating. I'm not sure if you always get a chocolate coin but I was glad to be served one. I chose the dark chocolate over the milk chocolate. It's under $7 for a baby scoop.

One of the most flavored ice cream I've tried in a while. This falls in the top 5 all time gelato spots. All the flavors are delicious and rich! They allow you two flavors to try and they have a nice indoor setting. They also have chocolates you can try/purchase! Great spot for a date or just enhance your palette!

I love getting Icecream from here, at Venchi. Taste so good and the customer services are great. this location is less flavors than West Village location i think..... We actually received the Recipes, but the cashier told us after we got the Icecream.... The reason why we asked, last time one of the workers lost it.... :( we got the Icecreams and it started to melt.... But he kept telling us after...... The other person came to help us. I think it's better gave it to us. (just print twice for the server and us) it's hard to grab it after we have the Icecream in handy. I hope they understand the situation. We'd come back again. I love this location personally! so cool.

Venchi has the best ice cream ever! My favorite is mango and strawberry in a cone! The staff in the Weschester mall location are friendly and the vibes are great!

I HIGHLY recommend the Nougatine; An extra dark chocolate with caramelized hazelnuts. That added crunchy texture and flavor from the hazelnut is what makes this so tasty for me. They have several flavors and also they sell artisanal and other high quality chocolates as well. Definitely glad we found this spot by dumb luck on our way to dinner.

Good if you are craving for a gelatto. Theie dark chocolate is really legit and the pistachio was perfect as well. You can choose from different cone types and the staff is very friendly when I asked to sample the flavors. The only downside is that compared to Anita for example, the portion is smaller and there are less flavours to choose from. So 4 stars

I've never had bad candy or gelato at Venchi. Don't bother with the baby cup or cone, you'll want at least a double. I love the caramel, all of the chocolates, vanilla. I'll have to branch out and try other flavors as the weather becomes warmer. I'll keep ya posted.

We accidentally stumbled on this Venchi while just walking around the Union Square area, waiting for our reservation. This Venchi is a lot bigger than the others that I've been to - the one in Short Hills Mall in NJ and the one in Columbus Circle. I had really just wanted to pick up some chocolate bars, because I've been craving some high quality dark chocolate late - just plain. They have literally every single chocolate bar that they sell on the internet, so I was happy about that. If you're looking to buy chocolate bars, this is the one to go to. They also sell their ever popular gelato and coffees and hot coco. Staff were very nice and helpful.

75% and 82% chocolate were great and obviously I got the extra chocolate disc as well. Friendly service and super cute vibe.

Venchi is a neat spot for gelato. If I was in the area of one and craving gelato I would definitely stop by it - that being said it was a bit pricey. The gelato itself is delicious! I'm not much of a chocolate fan myself but I loved the Stracciatella and would definitely recommend that. There's a lot of customization that you can do, choosing between cones, cups, chocolate icings and walnut coverings. The workers are very kind and patient as well and explain everything if you ask!

This was the best gelato I have ever had. Smooth and the best flavor. The customer service was excellent and the chocolates were just okay. I would surely return.

I love gelato, and Venchi offers a richer experience in terms of the flavors they have being all more chocolate adjacent mixed with your typical italian dessert offerings. My favorites so far are the straciatella, tiramisu, cremino - there are so many and they're all very authentic tasting and creamy! The staff here at this location were really nice and patient - they let you try multiple flavors before deciding. Venchi also gives you a chocolate on top of the gelato if you'd like - I think it's worth the price. The ambiance is also really pretty because near their seating area in the back they have a chocolate wall where you can sit and eat. I will say they could use some chairs in the back to accomodate more seating around the tables. If you're a chocolate lover, this place is for you as they also sell hundreds of chocolate bars and truffle boxes. Overall, I'd come back to try another flavor of gelato if I was in the area!

Venchi is all over Italy in airports and train stations and whatnot. While I haven't actually tried it in Italy, I did think the gelato at the first NYC location was awesome. I tried a regular cone with raspberry and giandujotto Venezuela - fantastic combo. Line was long but moved fast. They also have chocolate truffles, bars and other treats for sale!

Oh my venchi this spot is soooo good. Honestly hands down the best pistachio gelato spot for me! First when you walk in you are at the counter where all the gelato flavors await. You order first and then you go in front of the gelato flavors to watch them make your scoops. I got one scoop on a cone and the only weird thing was you order first and then you get your scoop and able to sample afterward. There's multiple people scooping so the line moves pretty fast. I got pistachio on a cone and it was so freaking good and comes with a tiny chocolate circle piece. It was about $7. Interior design is so cute with a chocolate wall and lots of chocolate on the walls.

Not sure if this is an accurate review considering I've never even tried the gelato here, but I love their hot chocolate and make a point to get some everytime I'm in town. The Suprema is extremely decadent with its hazelnut spread, and hazelnut crumbles but it's so so good. I always drink half and then save the other half for my morning coffee the next day. Staff is al always super sweet and helpful. Their chocolate assortments are lovely for gifts and j definitely will be back at some point to try their famous gelato.

I'm very particular about ice cream. I don't go out of my way seeking it. I finally went into this place on a whim and My God, this is one of the best ice creams I've ever had outside of the gelato in Italy or the homemade ice cream we have in the Caribbean. It's so creamy and not overly sweet and you can tell it's made with good and simple ingredients (none of that extra ish). They made fresh whipped cream, make sure to get it. The servers behind the counter were so friendly and warm. They offered me a sample of chocolate too. The shop was still surprisingly packed for a cold November night. You need to come here if you haven't already and bring your ice cream aficionado friends with you.

Zero value for money. I get it, it's New York City. Its 2022. Interest rates and inflation are through the roof but that does not mean it's ok to rip your customers off. It's gelato for crying out loud! It's not supposed to hurt but this one did! I got a small scoop of their 75% dark chocolate gelato on a cone. And I was shocked with how little was scooped up. And for $7 with tax no less! I thought she would go down for a second scoop but no. She stopped after the first scoop, completely oblivious to my wide eyes that said "that's it?!" And the scooping is a painful process to watch. They scooped it like was semi hardened cement. Once they had a decent amount on the scoop spoon, they would scrape it off on the sides of the tray and start all over. I watched them do that at least 5 times until they had a teensy amount. Then begins the fight to get it to sit on the cone. The gelato would fall off the cone every time they would try to get it off the scoop spoon to land on the cone. Even the gelato knew it was being coerced into daylight robbing a gullible customer and it wanted no part of it. The 75% dark chocolate gelato tasted rich and great. I need to mention that I've had the gelato at the Venchi in Milan and my experience was nothing like this. I won't be hitting Venchi to satisfy my gelato craving again. The two stars are for the hazelnut egg she offered to top off my gelato. Probably as an afterthought after the incredulous look I shot her.

If you're a fan of chocolate or gelato, this boutique Venchi store is a must-visit! They sell a variety of items, their renown chocolate (my go-to for holiday gifts), gelato, and a variety of drinks. I'm personally a big gelato fan so I've only tried this so far. For gelato, I'd strongly recommend getting a flavor that is chocolate-based, as that's what they're specialized in. For me, I like the Stracciatella (if you like cookies and cream, I'd recommend getting this) and the various hazelnut flavors. The chocolate taste was very pronounced (in a good, natural way) and not overly sweet, compared to others that I've had. The texture was quite creamy for gelato, but delightful to eat! The staff are also very kind and don't skimp out on filling up your cup (note that if there is a line, it might be a bit of a wait, because this process does take a while).

Ordered: Regular Cone (~$7) with Milk Hazelnut Grains (+$2): half Strawberry Stracciatella (strawberry & chocolate chips) and half Tiramisu (Mascarpone, coffee, & cocoa) Aya's take: For a simple gelato cone, it's a bit pricy. The strawberry, chocolate, and tiramisu flavors actually mixed together nicely. The gelato is well-made, no argument there but it is definitely not a place I would frequent. Also, the menu says the extra Milk Hazelnut Grains is $1 but I was charged $2. Unfortunately, they don't have a screen where you can see what you're charged until you get your receipt.

Came here a few months ago with the girl I was dating and it was great. We had various chocolates and gelato. I stopped in today and grabbed a few chocolates and a chocolate bar

The environment is perfect for a girls trip, mini ice cream date, or just a cute place to feel cute and girlie. The location was very clean. The employees were fast, patient and kind. I got the large cut with half lemon and half mango. Delicious . The tables and walls were packed to capacity with chocolate. Even chocolate cascades down the walls. Floors were clean not sticky. And the tables were spotless. I love this spot. I Will be back. I highly recommend.

Farisha was amazing! She offered many different samples and brought the vibes! we ended up getting a large because of her marketing skills. IMPECCABLE!! . We will most definitely be back because of her. Thank you for the great hospitality
