A couple friends and I visited Venture Kitchen & Bar for the first time on Mother's Day for brunch and this may be my new favorite brunch spot on the Peninsula. We arrived just after 10AM and there was no wait so we got a booth right away by the Kitchen. We ordered alcohol and a basket of breads/pastries to share along with our meals which all came out in a timely fashion. The drinks were incredible! The bread basket was a Mother's Day special and SO good. Our food came out shortly after and oh my goodness, what a delicious meal! We all agreed we would be back again. Our service, food and drinks were all top notch! We also kept seeing other dishes coming out of the kitchen and it all looked amazing.

Nicole the bartender was awesome and reinforced my menu choices. She was right. They were awesome! Although there were plenty of things meat, lover options, it was nice to see some vegetarian and vegan fare that was spectacularly tasty! Had the veggie dumplings and the green goddess pizza. Bright, spicy, and oh so good!

This is my all-time favorite restaurant in Hampton. I have literally never ordered anything from this place that I have not thoroughly enjoyed. Their house tots are the bomb, I highly recommend starting with those, from there they have a study menu of delicious food and a rotating weekly specials menu that I usually order from because I love trying all of the new things that they create. They also do a weekly specials pizza if you wanna try something unique. They offer specials throughout the week and on Mondays they have six dollar martinis and half price pizza of the week when you dine in, if you’re a on a budget. The prices here are a little bit high, but the food is worth it and the portion sizes are huge. The atmosphere is cozy and I love taking family and friends here when they come to visit. You will not regret visiting, guaranteed. And if you don’t enjoy it, don’t come for me. It’s not my fault that you have bad taste. Enjoy this photo dump of all of the photos. I’ve remembered to take it before I ate the food over the years. But sometimes I eat it too fast because it just is that dang delicious. Run to Venture Kitchen!

This place was my new favorite place in Hampton until the bartender tried to teach me why I should enjoy soggy pizza. And how much the pizza oven cost. I'm going back to Mama Rosa's where they know how to treat people, and they can make a good pizza. And they have bourbon. I was doing my job as a customer. I'm sorry I expected you to stand in your position as someone charging me for sloppy service. And soggy food . I intentionally did not leave a tip because of the service, and they decided to tip themselves $20.00 i usually tip the bill but in this case, there's a loss of trust here that goes way beyond good or bad pizza. I've contacted my bank as of now... I'll be processing a criminal complaint tomorrow, and you're not allowed to tip yourself because you feel justified.. I hope they give you a free sharpie.

Best spot we’ve tried down town Hampton. Perfect date night when there is live music. Good drink selection and rotating specials. Wish we got to try the lobster ravioli. I wish I could do 4.5 for food. I don’t know if could improve on my order. The food offered just couldn’t be a 5…

As we arrived in town, we were looking for places to eat that was not only delicious but local. We stumbled across venture which fit perfectly with our adventurous motto for our mini getaway trip. We were super excited about the menu as it had items listed out of the norm. Pictured: ✅Pork Belly ✅Crab Ragoon Dip ✅Suck It Up Butternut The pork belly was to DIE FOR. The honeycomb and apple slices was a delicious touch and we licked the plate clean. The wonton chips served with the crab ragoon dip should be sold EVERYWHERE, and the pizza was light with the perfect amount of goat cheese. The crust was also how I prefer all my pizzas to be. It was quiet on a Thursday afternoon… so the service was fast and attentive. It was cozy and very hip. We would definitely go back, especially for the pork belly shareable.

This small restaurant and bar is one of the best places I have dined at. The professional, yet laid back atmosphere is welcoming and comforting. The tables are comfortable and spacious. The service is excellent: Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and accommodating. But it was, by far, the food that stood out at this place. The infamous in house tots absolutely lived up to their reputation. For my dinner, I had the pizza special, Three Little Jerks, and it was wonderful. The slightly crispy crust pairs well with the mixes of fresh cheeses and quality toppings. When they first gave me my pizza, I thought it was too much for me to eat. I had to stop myself, but it tasted so good, I could have easily eaten the entire thing. The finale was, of course, the dessert. The Brown Butter cake was heaven in my mouth. The caramel gelato mixed with the moist sweet butter cake was a delightful combination. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Every thing about it is 5 star. If you are trying to find a place to eat go to this restaurant and enjoy.

Google
Venture Kitchen is absolutely fantastic! The muscles are the BEST dish on the menu! Perfectly cooked, in a beautiful sauce, served with fresh bread! A real chef’s kiss! They also had on their specials a dish that had pasta, so I asked if they would give me a side of pasta. Although they generally don’t do this, they did! The pasta and muscles together 100% should be on their menu!!!!!! It was beautiful together. My husband ordered the Thai me Up Pizza, the flavors were wonderful, and cooked to perfection. The only downside was our server was a little distracted, she we would order a drink and she forgot to grab it from the bar. She came around and asked if someone brought it out and I said no, then grabbed it. But highly recommend we will definitely return

Yelp
We went here because we were craving pizza and the reviews were overall good. We weren't disappointed. The bartender was very nice. The drink selection was good. Our pizza was very good. We also got a pork bellied taco which I thought was amazing. The ambience is nice and I would definitely go back if I was staying in the area.

Yelp
Parking in this area always seems to work out somehow. It's mostly street parking. We went on a rainy Saturday night and the place wasn't too busy. We love doing a date night here because it's a pretty relaxed environment and the foods always good. We love a booth and the booths are pretty big. We started with a beer and the drink of the week which was called eternal luminescence. The cocktail was delicious - gin, st. Germain, lemon juice, lavender syrup and garnishes. We also got the special taco which was a boom boom shrimp taco. I'm considering trying to convince my boyfriend to go back on a Tuesday for taco Tuesday this month so we can get it again. It had a good number of shrimp on it and the other ingredients were super balanced. Finally we rounded off starters with the meatballs. We've had these before and love them every time. They have a slight heat to them but the sweetness of the sauce plays nicely with it. Would definitely not skip these! We were pretty plain and got a pepperoni pizza for our entree. I asked for Parmesan cheese and they brought a block and grated it on the pizza while I LOVED! The crust is yummy and was charred but not burnt. We will be going back.

Yelp
I completely forgot to write a review for Venture Kitchen & Bar. I visited this spot years ago and met up with Jordan B. and a friend of his for a late lunch. Venture is a small, but cozy, venue that would fit right in at Ghent in Norfolk or Carytown in Richmond. It was mentioned when we all were settled in that Venture's house made tots (accompanied with a spicy mayo sauce) were very popular. Jordan's friend had already ordered it and after trying we went ahead and ordered a second batch (Venture's tots really are that good). We also ordered a pork & shrimp egg roll (fantastic), pork belly (also excellent) and either Jordan or his friend had a tuna salad sandwich. I had some sort of seared ahi tuna dish which was both pretty and delicious. Service was good - our server was nice and did well to anticipate our needs. I enjoyed my lone visit to Venture and would love to stop in again. I took a look at their current menu while writing this and I'm even more excited to try some items which weren't on their menu at the time. I don't see the tuna salad sandwich, though, or the tuna dish I had. Obviously, menu items are added and removed all the time (especially at Venture), so it's all good. Thank you, Venture! JV

Yelp
Want to have a unique dining experience? Try Venture Kitchen and Bar in downtown Hampton. Monday night is half price for the pizza of the week. Venture's pizzas are unique as they are not the ordinary run of the mill pizzas. The combination of ingredients of their pizzas are delicious. Bartender Trish is an award winning mixologist. Her adult beverages are deliciously unique!

Yelp
I've been to Venture a few times over the years and it has always been excellent. They have an extensive menu with weekly chef's specials and they also serve brunch, which I've yet to try. I've eaten at the bar and also had carry out. Their menu is consistent and diverse at the same time. I had a vegetarian pizza with pesto, roasted red peppers, and mushrooms back in 2016. Vegetarian pizza options on the current menu include a Classic Margherita, the Great White, Five Cheese, Mediterranean, Wild Mushroom, and the Green Goddess. I definitely had to try the tots. These are not grocery store tater tots, but hand made squares of goodness. Fast forward to February 2020, just prior to the pandemic. I had the tots again, and they were just as good. The restaurant and the bar, where I was seated so as to avoid a wait, were busy, and I was tired from a long day, so I opted for one of the specials to go, pan seared salmon with parmesan risotto, asparagus, and lemon burr blanc. The salmon was tender and flaky, the risotto creamy, and all the flavors complementary. It's hard to find a restaurant these days, locally owned or chain, that not only weathers changes in the market and stays open, but maintains the consistency in their stand by dishes while offering variety and the same quality in their specials. Venture does not disappoint.

Yelp
It has been a minute since Sophia and I dined here. When it comes to finely made pizza, they deliver. Not only did we dine in, a few people from our meetup group joined us where we were able to snag a table in the back for a semi-private dinner (a group of 9 were there but were pretty casual). Would this bring back good times or leave us with utter dissappointment? Walking in, we were able to get seated along with the rest of the party. Inside, it had a nice crowd but not overwhelming. And the whole place looked spotless. After a few minutes, we were all ready to order. I selected one of their newly added items, the Thai Me Up pizza. It consisted of ginger wasabi peanut sauce, chicken, carrots, red onion, shredded mozzarella, cilantro and chives topped with a sriracha swirl. This was pretty good. Each ingredient came together nicely. To have the peanut sauce as the binder was a great call. It did have some spice as expected but not overpowering at all. And the rest of the group really liked their dishes. When you have great company enjoying conversations along with their meal, it's a win-win. And I can't say enough about how tentative our waitress was with us. You know we'll be back here again :)

Yelp
My husband and I went on a Saturday evening and it was SUPER hot inside the restaurant. We were both pouring sweat the whole time we were there. I'm talking glasses fogging up and sliding down the face kind of hot. I ordered the green goddess pizza and was not into it at all. I don't know how those ingredients added up to such a bland pizza. The crust is very very thin, soggy, and floppy in the center and can't support the toppings. Half the bottom was completely black. I don't mind a little char from the oven but this was burnt and bitter. The fresh basil was baked with the pizza so it was crispy and dried out and had lost a lot of its flavor. I ate about 2 1/2 slices of this 9 inch pizza and just couldn't continue. Between the heat and grease and bland bitter flavor I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. My husband ordered a smashburger from their specials menu and also said it was kind of bland, super greasy, and only got halfway through it. We both got boxes but then ended up throwing them in the trash outside the restaurant (which was cooler than it was inside). It felt like we'd thrown $50 directly into the trash. The service was friendly and professional but I just can't recommend this place.

Yelp
The menu sounded amazing but the items we tried were just okay! First off it is nice and cozy inside. The booths are comfortable and depending where you are seated you can see into the kitchen. There is a long bar area and a few tables with chairs but mostly booths. It was nicely decorated for Christmas. Service-not so great. I get it, places are understaffed but we sat for a while before getting drinks (including water) and we found out they were a waiter short so things were slow. Now food/drinks: Ran out of key ingredients of their cocktail of the week. It happens but had been looking forward to it. They did try to make a modified version and it was okay. They at least didn't charge me for it. Husband wanted 2 different beers and they were both out and finally got his 3rd choice. Food: The following were specials: smash burger was alright but expected the patties to be a little bit bigger. Beef Stroganoff-Beef was very rare. Good flavor though but strong on the rosemary seasoning. Queso blanco nachos- would have been good if they actually melted the cheese. It was just thrown on top. With the not so great service and the food being just okay not sure I'm in a rush to go back.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't done a review for Venture Kitchen. I've been numerous times and have never had a bad experience. I went the other night for my friend's bday and there was five of us. We were seated in a booth had menus were given to us. They had a daily special menu, Hampton's restaurant week menu, cocktail/drinks menu, and their regular menu. It was martini night and my friends enjoyed theirs and I enjoyed the Pesca Bellini. We ordered pizzas (cheese pizza, supreme pizza, and the weekly special the Rajun Cajun pizza) and wow it was phenomenal. The picture I attached doesn't give the pizza justice (it's the supreme and 1 piece of Rajun Cajun-we did some trades on slices lol). The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star the beer cheese appetizer w/pretzel bites and Granny Smith apples wasn't the best. The apples were way too sweet and the beer cheese tasted like Alfredo sauce. Either way I love the friendly atmosphere and will continue to support the business!

Yelp
We had a couple close to the family friends down from the DC area for the Virginia High School Swim Meet and needed a good restaurant that took a reservation for 12 people. I had called their sister restaurant Brown Chicken Brown Cow and spoke to Camille, who was super awesome and told us that Venture took big reservations. So that's what we went with. We actually stopped into BCBC before dinner and had a beer. Very cool place and just 2 doors away from Venture. Venture was super clean and the food was awesome. Lots of Tapas and Artisanal Pizzas. They have a nice drink menu as well. The staff was very nice and accommodating. If you do go with a big group, they only do 1 check and gratuity is included. Overall it was a great experience.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere, the booths are large and you don't feel crowded. The staff was absolutely wonderful, attentive and super nice. I like the fact that there is a full bar. The food came out hot and you can definitely tell the ingredients are fresh. Highly recommend. We had the Tots Poutine , Meat-za and crab Croatan.

Yelp
Took my daughter here for her 4th birthday because she loves pizza. Everything was delicious my kids loved the pizza and appetizers we ordered. Our waitress was really nice and accommodating. I would say the only thing need upgrading or investing in some new high chairs. The two they had the straps were broken. We had two pizzas, their house made tater tots, meatballs and their crab dip. Instead of pita bread they use wonton skin as chips really good. Everything was delicious

Yelp
Another whiskey Wednesday that did not disappoint. As a bourbon fan but super beginner it is a great way to try super hard to find bourbons at half price in volumes (2 oz 1 oz 1/2 oz pours) that don't piss you off if you don't like them. How many times have you paid $18 for a neat bourbon and it tasted like $&@&? Come try them here in a safe (on the wallet) to fail atmosphere and you won't be sorry. Oh and if you're hungry .... Chefs got it going on. Great pizza. Sticky rice shrimp taco is life changing and we had the biggest damn Greek salad we've ever seen. Ate a bunch of leftovers today for lunch.

Yelp
Delicious apps...we did the cheese balls. Very unique. We also loved the variety of pizzas. There are a ton of vegetarian options available and not the usual BS. Service was on point!

Yelp
This was our 2nd visit. Both times we were seated quickly in a booth. They have booths for 2 and 4 people. You might be able to squeeze 6 but that many people might be more comfortable at one of the tables. The server was very pleasant and attentive. I only noticed 2 tables and when combined could probably seat 8-10 people so I'm not sure it would be good for large groups. Previously we came with friends and tried a little of everything. Pork belly, cheese curds, poke cups, pizza, sausage bombs and tots. The tots were interesting and were cubes as opposed to the traditional shredded type of tot. My husband's face was probably the sausage bombs or pork belly. I would agree the pork belly is great and I had the poke to myself since I was the only seafood fan that night. I love the cream cheese and jalapeño. The wonton cups are crispy and not my favorite. Tonight we had the poke cups, pork meatballs with Thai chili sauce, green goddess pizza and margherita pizza and green goddess pizza. I emptied the poke cups to get to all the good stuff. :) the pork meatballs were like a flavor explosion and I would highly recommend them. I enjoyed the green goddess as it was very flavorful but my husband said the margherita could have been improved. I thought it could use a smidge more cheese because who doesn't love cheese. I'd say the average price is $17 unless you get a special entree that ran more like $29 or $42 for a ribeye. We did see several ribeyes and they did look delicious. 3 poke cups were the same $17 as the green goddess. The things can add up if you can't decide and get a little of everything.

Yelp
Sunday brunch is amazing! We usually come for dinner because of the homemade tots, but today we wanted brunch! Absolutely fantastic. Mimosas are on par! Waffles were absolutely delicious and our main meals were delicious!!!

Yelp
I strolled in on Martini Monday and so glad I did. I love the weekly chef specials. The service was good, I sat at the bar. Now the food-- Strawberry Bruschetta - I could eat this for breakfast it was so good and not overly sweet Coconut onion rings- good flavor but the batter was too thick for me Maui Tini- martini made with rum. So good I almost got another but I had to drive. Highly recommend if I'm Hampton, VA!

Yelp
Well, my visit this time for an early dinner wasn't as great as my last visit during brunch. They did have a great offering: half off a bottle of wine (every Tuesday) and we enjoyed our selection. The service was also very friendly. But that's where the good part of this review ends. We ordered several apps to share. All of them looked great! But the taste was subpar. The best offering was the pot stickers. Not super impressive, but ok. The pork belly was served with apple slices and a honeycomb. The honeycomb was SUPER sticky, and it's texture took away any pleasantries it was to bring to the dish. The pork did not have any flavor. It was super bland. The deviled eggs were also super bland and the smoked salmon seemed tasteless. The capers were as expected. The bread pudding was a little dry. It seemed like it needed a topping or sauce. 3 STARS! I feel like this is a fair review because the service was great and they are known for pizza, which I did not have. I would be willing to return to try the pizza, actually. But for this visit and for these selections, it's 3 stars for me.

Yelp
When in last night, lucky us it was Martini Monday night. They had a selection of cocktail drinks for $6. They also had a chefs choice pizza half off which made it $7.99! They were busy but the two women working the bar and floor were handling it well and providing great service. We had the pizza special and a Wagyu smash burger with tots- we like to share things so we get to try more. We also sampled three cocktails to include the French Martini, the French Lavender and another I will think of the name. All delicious, like does this place even make bad cocktails?!? You gotta try the tots- so hood they're actually more like delicious potato cubes. I liked the new take. Pizza was a little greasy but I think that had to do with the generous amount of pesto on it. And again- very delicious. The sound wasn't terribly noisy, and I know some were seated outside enjoyed the nice evening weather. I took off a star because the bathrooms were out of toilet paper and left a lot to desire in terms of cleanliness and overall state. But seriously everything else- was great.

Yelp
Came in for a bite to eat and drinks. We ordered a Margherita pizza and it was unfortunately not good. The sauce made the pizza extremely wet and it was very soggy in the middle. They also put the basil on before baking when traditionally this is garnished at the end. The drinks were the only thing that was really good! The service was okay and ambiance was squished but okay.

Yelp
* long post but necessary * I have been to this restaurant 3 times and enjoyed the food. I went there today after my daughter's college move in. We came thru the back door by the parking lot. One server told us to go to the front and stand by the "wait for table" sign. We walked past 3 empty booths. Another server came to sit us after a few minutes. She said our server would be with us shortly. She then proceeded to walk past is no less than 10 times- no eye contact or further conversation. After about 12 minutes I asked her if our server was coming. She said yes. We proceeded to wait 10 more minutes- no acknowledgment again from the 2 servers who kept walking past. As the only family of color in the restaurant- it felt uncomfortable and intentional that we were being ignored. I asked to see the manager- I was told she was serving drinks at the bar- We walked to the bar and asked to speak to her and she brushed us off saying, "in a few minutes- I need to get this hot food out" she repeated it over and over although I was letting her know we felt discriminated against. We walked out. It's unfortunate because they make great gluten free pizza for my celiac daughter. To be fair, we have not had a problem nor felt uncomfortable before as the "only" family of color here. Perhaps they have new management. A greeting and/ check in would have gone a long way- we would have been understanding of busyness. I have NEVER written a review before but this was so upsetting to me that felt compelled to share my experience.

Yelp
great food & great service! i had a nice time sitting at the bar. the location of the restaurant is very easily accessible.

Yelp
This is my first time having brunch. I sat at the bar and also ordered a spicy bloody Mary with my food. The Bloody Mary was okay, and bland with no additional goodies like traditional bloody Mary's. The breakfast was really good and I could not eat it all. Came out warm and fresh. The service was so so with the bartender leaving the bar area for at least five minutes. All in all, I will probably return if my normal brunch restaurant is full.

Yelp
I've wanted to try this place for about 2 yrs...I finally got to give it a go. I first noticed the inside was very narrow. A bit dim, and smelled like mop water and cigarettes. It made me uncomfortable so we ate outside . The waitress was friendly enough but not earn a tip friendly for sure . There was karaoke going on somewhere nearby but I never actually saw wear but it made for good environment (listening to people butcher songs) I ordered a grapefruit mixed drink and was surprised it was served in a cheap plastic cup and no glass of water to go with the alcohol. It tastes horrible and the lime on the side was browning and not fresh so I tossed that part. My spouse's drink was something creamed with nutmeg in a cute mug was was disgusting as well...like eggnog with pineapple etc. I ordered some tacos..lobster and pork belly. Somehow neither were good :( like dude how?! I also had the caprese which was not great and the fresh basil on top was half brown. My spouse enjoyed his basic beef taco at least. Needless to say I probably won't be back ..the outdoor atmosphere was nice but the food was ho humm and didn't appear fresh

Yelp
We were visiting Hampton and we went to Venture based on the good reviews. I'm not sure what restaurant was reviewed, but definitely not Venture. Our meal was mediocre at best and our waitress was inattentive. We ordered the coconut onion rings as an appetizer. By itself, it would have been okay, but then it was smothered in sauce which ruined any hint of coconut and made it almost inedible. Recommendation -- put the sauce on the side and the customer can add as they see fit. The sauce was nothing special and really detracted from the onion rings. I got a salad with chicken. It was nothing special. My partner got the tacos. Again, it was smothered in sauce and she could barely eat them. Three tacos were served and she ate 1/2 of one. She didn't even want to take the other 2 home. My partner is always generous with tips and always gives servers the benefit of the doubt. But this server couldn't be bothered with us. My partner didn't even think the server deserved the minimum tip. This is a restaurant we will not return to.

Yelp
Loved that Venture has different menu items and offerings. This was our first visit. We came in on Martini Monday. I ordered the martini of the week which was incredible! Vodka, Baileys... I can't remember what else was in it, but it had a very full flavor and would also have made a great dessert drink. We ordered the Crab Rangoon Dip gluten-free option which came out hot with tortilla chips. We were pleasantly surprised by the slightly sweet chili flavor in it... really delicious! I ordered the Green Goddess Pizza and the gluten-free crust was one of the best I've ever tasted. Hubby ordered the half-priced pizza of the week, Prosciutto D' Parma and was also impressed by his crust (full of gluten LOL!). We both took home leftovers and enjoyed our meals again for lunch! We will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Shrinkflation got their pizzas. Didn't want to serve our group of 8 that walked in because we asked for separate checks. Food took about an hour to come out and one person never got any food at all. Bummer
google avatar

Yelp
I've never had bad food here. The pizzas are cooked perfectly, and they have gluten-free and vegan options. They also serve tapas which is always cool and have various infused drinks. Their house made tots are one of the best things I've ever eaten. It's crispy on the outside, but soft and creamy on the inside. The salads are huge and filling so be prepared to take some home. I've had some many different types of pizzas, it's too many to name. They offer weekly desserts, pizzas, and drinks. They swap the menu out seasonally so be sure to visit throughout the year. The service is pretty decent. I've been coming here for years!!

Everything about this little bistro is excellent: wait service, chefs, food offerings, drinks. Everything on the menu is just right.

Yelp
Very cute spot right in downtown Hampton. This was our first spot for the day to celebrate my birthday! Brunch was so great. Mimosas were only $3.50. AND from what I could see, all of their cocktails were under $10. My companion ordered the biscuits and gravy which came with sunny side up eggs along with a couple of sausage patties. These were the most huge and 'pretty' sunny side ups I've ever seen. Lol. I'm not even sure they were chicken eggs. The dish looked so good that I almost second guessed my choice for a hot minute. The sausage and gravy were on point. Ok so moving on.. I ordered the chicken biscuit benedict. It was really good. The portions are so big that I could only eat one. The other will be a snack later or breakfast tomorrow. The tator tots were very good and the salad that its served with was a nice pairing as it offsets some of the saltiness of the biscuits and tots. I think the menu is small but I have a feeling anything ordered is a great choice. I will definitely be back to try more!

Yelp
Venture Kitchen & Bar is all about their specialty pizzas, but I wanted that burger special on my visit in February. Known for their extensive and creative pizza menu, but they offer much more. A small, but strong tap menu was a welcome sight. Busy lunch crowd last month. Service was immediate and friendly with follow up. My order...Prosciutto & Apple Burger / Brasstown local raised beef, crispy prosciutto, apple, goat cheese, honey aioli, pea shoots. Side of tots. The burger was plated magnificently. Paired w/ a Hardywood Bourbon GBS. The burger for me was just okay, I expected more. The combination did not seem to work well. 3.5 rounding down. At this time the business has closed temporarily due to COVID-19. I hope to try them again.

Yelp
Met some friends for girls night mid week. The blueberry goat cheese special was delicious! We got the green goddess pizza as well as an appetizer and it was perfect for 3 people. I want that pizza every day for the rest of my life. The wine was great, all the entrees were interesting and tasty, and the tater tots are more like cubes of deep fried mashed potatoes ... totally epic! I can't wait to try everything else on the menu!

Yelp
This place never disappoints. Great pizzas and weekly specials. Chef always has some very creative and tasty choices.

Yelp
From the greeting of the staff to the waitress and last but not least the food. Excellent service. I had the corn beef with eggs and potatoes. Excellent. My food was hot in temperature which I absolutely love. The seasonings were good. I will definitely return again. This restaurant is a must visit.

Yelp
Message to the owner and manager: Why your restaurant/bar is nearly empty at 8:30pm on a Saturday night. You have the right menu. (Great ingredients and awesome food descriptions on the menu) You have the right bar. (Top shelf liquor choices and some great cocktail choices) You have a great location. You have a great waitstaff But.... Your kitchen help is terrible! The food sucks! I mean it really suuuucks! Let's begin with my starter: cajun shrimp grit sticks. Description "blistered celery and crispy onion" Yet NO blistered celery or onion. Just a bland sauce with chives. Reason given "the celery spoils before we use it " two suggestions remove this from the menu or just a thought, blister the celery as needed from fresh! Its a simple task. Second: the beautifully prepared ahi ? You should be charged criminally for preparing this in advance then putting it in a chiller to be served days after preparation! Its ahi! It takes 3 minutes to sear from fresh! It took three people tasting it to clear the small portion because we just could not believe that you pre-prepared it and chilled it. Disgusting! But your staff confirmed thats exactly what your practice is! Unbelievable! The tacos? Cold pulled pork? Disgusting! The full sized fried chicken breast in a tortilla? Ridiculous! They went mostly entirely uneaten, because it was mostly inedible! Im guessing you're the type that pays crap wages too.. shortcuts and disgusting lazy execution on every dish with the exception of my son liking the pizza, but not enough to take the left-over with him. Says a lot. The real insult was the $110.00 price tag for poor quality and disgusting food preparation! Any patrons looking to eat here, save your hard earned money its all show and no go with this place. Shame because the owner/manager laziness and cheapskate practices ruin high quality ingredients and it has cost my business forever. What respectable restaurant serves seared Ahi pre-prepared and chilled? I spit in disgust! I wish I could give you negative stars!

Yelp
Our server was a delight. And we always love the atmosphere and music. The tots for an app were great. We took four pizzas home and they were burnt. I know how they are cooked there, I get a little dark and oven marks. But this was too much. I wish we would have checked over it all before we left. But we had truly enjoyed our quick visit and server. Gotta do better on to-go's

Yelp
Very tasty food. Fast service. Easy parking. Steak special was da bomb! Pasta special spicy but oh sooo good. Their tots are D lish!! Would be 5 stars but the waitresses breath was soooooo garbage! Didn't want any extra service so I didn't have to smell it. Lol

Yelp
The pizza and tots are amazing! Recommend getting a side of tots to share or as an appetizer. The service is sometimes a little slow, but if you're not in a rush it's great. Their brunch menu is updated every week and I love the variety.

Yelp
A pleasant local spot without any fuss. We had crab croatan as well as the wild mushroom pizza. We also had several cocktails which were good. Our server was friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted.

Yelp
The food and service was really good! Cute little spot in downtown Hampton. The menu changes weekly so there's a good amount of options for all types of eaters

Yelp
On the 1Aug2021. The inside felt relaxed and casual. The sever was attentive and polite. Drinks: The lemonade was simple and good. Food: The meals were tots, pot stickers and seared tuna. Tots: A nice crispy bite which paired well with its sauce. (My four year daughter prefered it with ketchup like she does with everything). One remark is the inside needs a bit of seasoning. Thankfully salt was on the table. Pot stickers: Juicy and flavorful. The drizzle tasted well with it. The ponzu sauce did seem to muddle with the drizzled sauce. I did have one pot sticker with a little drizzle and the ponzu sauce tasted great with in. If the drizzle sauce was actually separate, giving the option of the sauce, it would have been better. Seared tuna: The tuna tasted good on it's own combined with the components. the drizzle sauce tasted well with the tuna along with seaweed. The wasbi cream cheese had a bit of heat and it tasted ok. It honestly felt like it was missing something like an acid. Price vs Value: The price matched well to the quality of food it was served. Recommendation: It is an enjoyable spot for its food and its atmosphere. It is worth a visit.

Yelp
The night we went with some friends and the service was horrible. The food was so-so and the beer was not good. As one friend stated, it tasted like horse p. I've never had horse p, but the beer was not good. The ambiance is a party feel and that is ok, but there was supposed to had been a band playing and we were there for over 2 hours and a band never showed up. Overpriced for nothing.

Yelp
First off this is the cutest little place EVER. The decor is so adorable. The food was excellent. The "tots" don't look appealing at all but don't knock it until you actually try it..it was DELICIOUS. It was my mom and I's first time there and we were treated so well. The only thing I didn't like was the how many employees they had working there..I saw two people cleaning tables, making drinks and seating people. When we walked in, we had to wait for about 6 minutes for a table and than 10 minutes before anyone had to come to our table...however the people there are so nice and homey and told us the history about the place and things! We ordered tots, potstickers (didn't make a photo because they were that good) and pizza! All were great especially thin crust pizza which is always a win!!!! It was great vibes and the food was great. I'd definitely be back. The prices weren't bad either.

Yelp
I've been to Venture for a few dinners (which have been phenomenal) but this review is specifically for the Sunday Brunch. We were seated immediately, but a very rowdy crowd at the bar was making things pretty loud and uncomfortable. Within a few minutes our server had a table open up at the other end of the restaurant and asked if we wanted to move to a avoid all the noise. What a great customer read and she really saved the day! I'm a biscuits and gravy fan but had to order the Fried Chicken Benedict just to try it. They use thigh meat which is much more flavorful and the Hollandaise is among the best I've ever tasted. Wow!! I wasn't a huge fan of the biscuit (more dense than I prefer) but it was a good compliment to the eggs, sauce and chicken. The surprise of the plate is the micro-greens, offering a good palette cleanser. They are tossed in a light and flavorful vinaigrette. Pro Tip: Order the Brandy Milk Punch, it's the hidden gem on the drinks menu for just $2!

Yelp
I can't have red sauce and they had many white sauce and olive oil options for my pizza! I got the wild mushroom, no onions, added bacon...and the loaded tots are to die for. Our bartender made us, The Venture (if you love tequila, get it!) Very good vibes and nice employees. 8/23

Yelp
My girlfriends took me here to start off my bachelorette party. We had dinner and drinks. The waitress was so nice and attentive. The food was delicious! The tots were my fave . I got a grilled cheese with pear, it was so strange reading it off the menu that I HAD to get it lol. No regrets, it was delicious! They had so many drink choices and the drinks were amazing. Def will return.
