I’m giving 2 stars for nostalgia because back in the day we used to come here when it was flip flops, SIL wanted to get a drink and when we walked up I had flashbacks. Typical college bar; awful drinks and atmosphere but the kids were having fun. The place is nasty as hell though, don’t come expecting to take a seat or not be annoyed by extremely drunk college kids

They only allow underage women to tip though the door according to security. Thought $40 was enough but aparently only the 18/19/20yo girls I’m with can do that. I’m 19. To each their own.

Great addition to the neighborhood! Two floors to elevate you. Beautiful staff, large patio with hookahs and upstairs dance club with bottle service! It’s quickly becoming the industry hang out spot! Thanks to the lovely bartenders- Jordan and Kimberly, for always making me feel at home.

Great atmosphere, but the drinks are awfully weak. When they have special discounts off selects drinks, I would understand those drinks to be rather weak, but even during normal hours, they definitely water down their liquor or something. With that, it’s really only worth it to come when they have specials or for the atmosphere.

I liked the tacos. Place is messy. I ordered the same drink 3 times and the price changed every time. Another patron tried to drug me (I’m a guy) so be careful

Love this place. Really cool setup. Upstairs is one setting and downstairs is a totally different feel. Great spot to take a date. Sam the GM was awesome also bought our first round. We will be returning.

Be carefull the bartenders tend to charge your card without even your permission i had only 3 drinks which were all whiskey for the third drink she charged me 29.94 for some reason and i have no clue why she charged me 48.38$ i really wish i could have spotted this earlier. This happend on the night before haloween @ the bar below. The place is really crowded and upstairs there is no space at all the place feels like it can cave in on itself.

Came around after bar hopping elsewhere. Getting in was pretty quick despite there being a crowd outside. Mostly people around college age. They do seem to have cheap drinks on Thursdays I believe. We started out doing jaeger shots upstairs and it was around $8.5 each. Fine, that's not that bsd . But the absolute audacity of this place for charging 23 dollars+ for one weak LI ice tea downstairs. Obviously not expecting anything fancy. Fun vibe but the experience could have been better.

So this lounge or whatever is pretty cool lol! I went on a rainy Friday night and it was still jumping! It gave house party vibes for college students and it was pretty fun! The music they played was good as well! They was serving tacos and quesadillas on the outside and then things was spicy but so good! The people in the place were nice and super laid back. It was free to get in and they do I.D.. I had a great time!

In case you are wondering, this is the go to for all the young college students. I wouldn't go here after 21 though because the crowd is super young. It can get super crowded sometimes, but def a hit or miss.

Don't go here! The bartender will charge you double the price of the drink you get. Then he'll gaslight when you question it. He even told his coworker her charged for 2 drinks and the cowers was just as helpless...

One of the bouncers grabbed me by the waist to "move me out of the way", and I instinctively pushed him away and yelled at him to not touch me like that. As a woman, I am always on the defense when it comes to men at bars. I didn't realize he worked there until he shined his flashlight at me and told me "you're out". I asked why, he said "because i said so". In other words, I embarrassed him by calling him out, therefore he had to show everyone that he was still in charge. I tried explaining my perspective but he wasn't even listening. He was just mad that I challenged him in front of everyone. Even the manager didn't try to help me out nor the dude with the mullet that was "just following orders". Right...

My friend was minding her own business. A security guard grabbed her by the hips, to move her out of the way. As a reflex, my friend got defensive because of the unwarranted touching. The security guard took this to offense and decided to shine his flashlight to lead my friend out, despite my friend's feeling of discomfort. After explaining the situation further about how unwarranted touching leads to certain defensive reaction, she was still escorted out. This says a lot about how women are respected and treated at this establishment. This is the security guard in question.

I've been coming here since it was flip flops and let me tell you the vibe has not left the building since it became Veranda! Cheap drinks, fast service even when it's really busy, and great music every time I come out. Really good choice for bar hopping, and their happy hour on the weekends is just starting too and the $2 drinks is unbeatable in midtown.

don't waste your time. literally denied all my friends that were 21+ when it was dead inside. absolutely ridiculous.

2.5 stars for having an equal balance of my best and worst college memories. Reliable club spot for Thursday nights after exams. Really couldn't say what keeps bringing me back cuz I KNOW it's not the lack of doors in the bathrooms and the smell of sweat on the sardine-packed porch. Probably David's taco stand out front. $3 for some of the best street tacos you'll ever have.

Coming here is basically a liability....well a fun one. I don't how always end up at this place but I do and sometimes I have a good time. Their drinks are OK and sometimes prices randomly go up in the middle of the night. If you're a college student in Atlanta I would recommend checking this place out at least once.

Went here to have a good time with some buddies and my sister. Bouncers asked us to get off of the bench, so of course we did but the boys here working as bouncer (can't be older than 19) decided to physically shove me and my friend out of the bar, I repeatedly asked why we needed to leave but was met with no response just "get out". Very unprofessional very rude. Weirdly aggressive and threatened me and my friend, go literally anywhere else.

dude. not hype at all. i'm just bein forreal. anyways, bartender charged us32 DOLLARES for 2 shots of a drink known as tequila. does that sound like a deal? i think not. for a low hype bar, and a low hype experience (despite the characters), i think not. cant wait to work so that i can make up for this consequential mistake.

Big fan of Veranda. It consistently has a really good crowd. It is also right above the Koo Koo Room.

Yo this place goes crazy!! Their covid safety protocols are absolutely through the roof. I've never felt safer vibing with the homies than at veranda. Shout out di Johnny!!
