it's a great little neighbourhood Italian full of tasty food. went there several times, for pizza and for main dishes. I have to say, while the pizza is quite good, the star are the dishes, in particular the specials. the arancini is great, the pasta is cooked beautifully and with great sauces. definitely recommend the trip here

Took my mother for an evening meal. According to her the following are excellent (I agree): ambience, furniture, service, food, wine, choice of background music, the peace, folded toilet paper, proximity to her house!

An Italian gem with amazing authentic food, great service, prices and friendly staff. Been a favourite spot since the first visit.

First time I have eaten here and I was delighted with the surroundings the service........and the food was superb......it's all prepared and cooked on the premises.....I will be going again soon.

My partner and I have been going here since it opened. Classic Italian restaurant, serving traditional food, with a family run feel, great ambience. Owner and her sister are both lovely and very welcoming. Food is consistently good. Wine menu is good, with something for every pocket, Barolo very reasonably priced. An oasis amongst the fried chicken take aways that litter this pocket of East London. This place could be put anywhere in London and it would deserve the rating.

Thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant. I devoured the delicious and freshly cooked pasta with potatoes on the side followed by a scrumptious yet light dessert tart. The waiters were very attentive and polite. I would definitely come here again and highly recommend to anyone interested in an authentic Italian dining exeperience!!

The waiter mistaken one of the main courses therefore, by the time the dish arrived and my partner started to eat, I had finished my meal. When they brought the dessert menu said that if we'd take one, the second dessert would be on the house. How ridiculous is that! No attempt to any other gestures and when they presented the bill they didn't even bother of removing the service! Go elsewhere and you get better service and food.

Love, love, love this place! We visit Italy at least twice a year and Verdi's provides truly authentic Italian food. The pasta is especially delicious but everything is worth a try. Wine reasonable for the quality and service super friendly. Best restaurant in the area and deserves to be full every night.

Verdi's was recommended to me by a friend who lives locally and another friend who lives even closer confirmed afterwards she also rates it. We went for lunch and had a lovely, friendly server and while the food wasn't mega quick you get the impression that's because it's being prepared freshly (I think I spied an actual nonna in the kitchen on the way to the toilet) and in any case we managed to have negronis, some (very nice) courgette fritters plus our mains and wine in 1h15. The pasta dishes were great - the owners of the restaurant are aiming to bring the taste of Emilia-Romagna to London and in my opinion they are really succeeding. The pappardelle with wild boar ragu was decadent comfort food and my friend was equally delighted with her burrata and truffle tortellini (what a combo!). Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommend and I will return at the next opportunity!

Italian food, lovely menu with everything you need regarding Italian food and drinks. Quality. The staff was superfriendly and price/quality wise it was 5 stars overal. We would certainly go again. I think tonight.

Visiting London from America I was looking for a good Italian dinner away from the hustle bustle of the big touristy areas. After getting tipped off from a local to try out East London I came upon Verdi's in the Stepney Green area. After looking over the menu I would say that it was ££ not 3, as the food wasn't overpriced. I had the pasta special and it was very tasty and SO fresh. I loved how everything is made fresh on site and you can tell by the quality of each bite. Knowing a lot of American-Italians back home in the States would appreciate this place, I would say Verdi's is definitely something to write home about.

Fabulous food. It's a true Italian experience with great dishes. However if you're American and have a simple pallet do not ask for chicken alfredo. The waiters will let you know how simple you are. Try to enjoy the experience and eat what they bring you.

This restaurant was a wonderful little neighborhood place at Stepney Green. It was Tuesday night and they had 4.95 pound pasta specials too. The food tasted very authentic as we had carbonara, black ink pasta, and gnocchi in crushed tomatoes sauce. What made the evening the best was our server Burcu. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. She made our first of many meals in London special. Ask for her by name. And Hell Yes! I would come back here again. Lastly, even after going to London, Paris, and Scotland for over two weeks, it was still one of the top four meals we had.

I was very pleased with our decision to go to Verdi's! We both ordered a pasta dish, and it was affordable at £25 for two people. The food was wonderful and filling. I ordered a starter size, and it was plenty. The waitress was very friendly and professional and checked in regularly. Complimentary water, olives, and bread were provided. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with candles, cloth napkins, and right now, a Christmas tree and lights. We made a reservation on Open Table, but I am not sure if this is required. I would recommend it to be safe.

Good Italian spot in a sea of curry houses. Nice ambience with older music playing in the background and a quiet place to have a good meal. Lamb tagliatelle that I had was pretty tasty and pretty reasonable prices.
