12 New-Wave Vermouth Bars In Spain - Barcelona - The Infatuation

"Grab a seat on the terrace and take in the scene-y energy of Valencia’s Ruzafa neighborhood over a few rounds of vermut. Inside, warm lighting, neon signs, and old Campari and vermut posters blend right in with the nearby vintage shops and well-curated record stores. Their selection spans Spain’s diverse vermut-producing regions, and they also offer a handful of vermut-based cocktails, like the sweet and frothy Moreneta (vermut rojo and beer), or the vermut-heavy Negroni—poured generously, topped with a couple of olives (which should absolutely be more of a thing)—at a steal for €6. They serve classic tapas, but spring for the lágrimas de pollo, a crunchy, meaty sleeper hit." - david neimanis

I absolutely loved my visit to Vermutería L´Aperitiu. This place is a true hidden gem in Castelló—warm, inviting, and full of character. The selection of vermouth is impressive, with plenty of options to try, each served with care and great attention to detail. It’s the kind of spot where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the local culture at its best. The food was excellent too. Every tapa and small plate was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the drinks. You can really taste the quality and passion behind the preparation. I especially enjoyed how the staff took the time to explain different vermouths and offer recommendations—it made the experience feel personal and welcoming. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, a perfect balance that makes you want to stay for hours. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick aperitif or planning to spend the evening, this bar makes you feel right at home. If you’re in Valencia and want to experience authentic flavors with great company, I can’t recommend Vermutería L´Aperitiu enough. It’s one of those places that makes you want to come back again and again

Amazing variety of vermouth. The waitress helped us choose different ones and was really knowledgeable. I can’t wait to come here again!

We had a good time here, drinks were fairly priced and nice, the food was not groundbreaking but decent for a quick bite. Service was okay, not the friendliest, but they were very helpful when asking for extra chairs and waiters spoke English. The atmosphere is nice, really enjoyed the terrace.

Nice little location with good Tapas and drinks both for a reasonable price.

I loved absolutely everything about this place! Great selection of Vermut, local, national and international; presented on a well structured menu. A great selection of snacks and tapas or pinchos to accompany. Friendly, attentive staff, ready to educate their clients and playing cool music off the main stream. No request seemed to be too much. And they even have their own Vermut!

They have a big list of different vermouths, the biggest part is for Vermút Valenciano. We tried almost everything here, and my favorite ones are de casa (rojo) y lo más naranja. All the staff are pleased to help you and give you an a piece of advice, if it’s necessary. The only thing that bothered us was insufficiency of fresh air inside the bar.

Place is ok to come to for a drink and some tapas style food. Nothing too special. Price vs quality is ok. Not too expensive. Service could be better, they forgot an order and weren’t very tentative when we asked for more drinks/ food. Waiter was on his phone most of the time and things took longer to come out than normal. Would recommend if you aren’t too fussed about waiting time and want something as a snack before dinner. Good location.

Vermut was good. We only had vermut and 1 tapa here so I can’t speak for the food. Small place so it’s hard to get a table. What made it 5 stars were the staff. They were genuinely nice and we didn’t feel like we were treated differently just because we’re tourists.
