We recently had a mixed experience at Vermuteria. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a cozy and inviting ambiance that made for a great setting to enjoy a meal. The décor was charming, and the overall vibe was relaxed yet lively, making it a pleasant place to spend an afternoon.
However, the service left much to be desired. Our server was inattentive and seemed disinterested throughout the meal. It took quite a while to get our drinks and even longer for the food to arrive. When we did receive our orders, there was a lack of warmth or enthusiasm from the staff, which detracted from the overall experience.
The food itself was good. However, the highlight was supposed to be the tiramisu, and unfortunately, it was a real letdown. What was served didn't resemble a traditional tiramisu at all, lacking the rich, creamy layers and coffee-soaked savoiardi that one would expect. It felt like a pale imitation of the real thing, which was disappointing.
In summary, Vermuteria has a great atmosphere and good food, but the service needs significant improvement, and the tiramisu, in particular, is something to avoid if you're expecting the real deal.
