Great food, cocktails, and service. Considering the size of our group and a Saturday, our Waiter/Bartender was very attentive and gracious. I was the only one who made an additional reservation for the Speakeasy, The Still. Well worth it. Thanks, Robert!

Google
Amazing! Can't believe I hadn't tried it sooner. This was a wonderful birthday dinner, and I didn't feel the need to get very dressed up, although I definitely could have. The prices were good, the food selection was great and there were lots of deserts to choose from. The staff was friendly, and even though we came in at dinner time on a Saturday, we were able to sit in the bar area with a 5 year old, and service was fast and exceptional. Our server was friendly and attentive. I would love to start making this a regular spot to eat.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and everything was amazing. The food and service was excellent. We had the cheese wheel alfredo, wood fire bread, calamari, and cannolis. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back. Support local ♥️

This is a review for “the still”, which is the speakeasy off the main dining room. The meal started off ok. We met at the meeting location but stood with another party for a while until we were led in to the speak easy area. It was a cool idea but the “door” was open for our entry, as well as our entire dining experience, so it really just felt like we dined in a separate room not a “secret room”. The room was cool and a good atmosphere. It was very intimate with only about 8 parties of 4 or less between the bar area and small patio. The experience started off great with banter with our waiter. My sister and I both ordered the “conversation cocktail” which meant you chatted with your server and they created a cocktail for you. After ordering our drinks, our experience went downhill drastically. Our drinks were unceremoniously dropped off so we actually had no idea what cocktail creation our conversation sparked or why. Then we weren’t checked on again or asked if we needed something for 1.25 hours. We had to get up and go ask them if we could order food. Then we noticed 3 out of the other 8 tables had to get up and also ask for something. Keep in mind they had 3 staff members for 8 parties with 4 people or less. A woman came over and took our order. She was going to check on something for us and come back. 10 minutes passed with no return so we got up and found another waitress who took our order because The second waitress told us that the first waitress was “having a night”. So she reentered our order and we got our food in a decent time. Now 1 hour and 45 minutes in to our meal we got our appetizer and then we had to ask for napkins and silverware, twice. When they were finally dropped off, they asked if we wanted another drink or if we wanted our water refilled. We all had empty waters. We said no to drinks and yes to water. My sister and I ordered the “flaming cheese wheel” and saw the cheese wheel coming toward us. We got excited but they passed us and went to a table outside. That wasn’t an issue since they probably ordered before us but then the waiter said “sorry we only have one cheese we also it’s taking a while“. That wouldn’t have bothered me except for that right as he said that a second cheese wheel got wheeled out. It was the excuse in the lie that bothered me more than the wait time. All of our food we unanimously agreed was very good, but it may have been some of the worst service we ever had. Our waiter ended up comping our drinks, which was nice of him, but we had to get up and ask for boxes and after we asked for boxes, he didn’t bring the check so we had to get up again and ask for the check. And then after we got the check, they never came to take it so we had to get up again and give him our check and then we left because we were so fed up. I would eat in the dining room, probably but I would never eat again in the speakeasy. At the end of the day, we had to ask for every step of our meal and were never checked on. Good food, completely awful service.

Google
The food is good, the tiramisu is one of the best… we had the calamari as an appetizer it was good too the chioppino it was okay… the service it’s horrible we been there twice and it was the same server (Audrey) she keep forgetting our order, the first time she forgot our soup and the second time she forgot my coffee… she don’t check on us after they drop the food, the first time they took more than 30 min to bring the appetizer and it was because we asked how long more they are going to take, we was watching our calamari sitting there for along time…they just need to improve their customer service besides that everything else was good, we are going back just for the food.

Just fabulous! The food is incredible and the staff is just awesome. We brought our dog and they all treated her exceptional service. Bowl of ice water and made she and her humans were doing good. The cheesecake is heavenly. Go here, fall in love ! Amore ❤️

Google
Tyler is the best waiter we ever had! He is such a sweet guy and gives top notch service. Hector, who was our cheese wheel pasta guy, was so friendly and made it an awesome experience! Definitely recommend the toasted ravioli and calamari. Everything tasted amazing and fresh.

Yelp
This is the second time we have been, mostly because the first time was so wonderful. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and we'd just been to Italy the summer before, so I wanted to re-create that ambiance. Or at least the menu. My reservation was waiting when I arrived. I started with an Italian beer on tap, and a prosecco for my date. Both were better than expected. Peroni *on tap*! We had the Burrata as an appetizer; she ordered the Mediterranean Pasta and I the Chicken Marsala. They came just about as we were finishing the appetizer. The plate still had mozz crumbs and that exceptional balsamic all over it., so we asked if there was a breadstick or some soft bread to sop it up with. It really was that good. The owner (manager?) said that she'd take care of it, ordered us a loaf of their wood fired bread, and comped it, exclaiming that that was her super-power, when it had arrived. Add to that that our server told us the staff trick of putting the garlic butter *inside* to warm it, and I could have dined on just that. She loved the Mediterranean, and I really like the mushrooms and pasta on mine. The sauce was a bit sweet for my peasant's palate (but still good), but I had decided I was trying something out of my safe zone. Back to marinara, I guess! The last time I had had the Manicotti and She had the Pizza Margherita, and it was that meal that brought us back. We finished with spumoni gelato and tiramisu, and both were excellent. I could not have asked for a better reminder of our time in Italy. Our waiter (was it Paul?) was attentive, asking every time he was in the vicinity if there was anything that he could bring us, and very good at stopping if we needed anything, and disappearing if we said we were fine. This was the exact experience that I had in my head, no BETTER! when I was thinking about taking my beautiful partner out for her special day. Kudos to the FOH staff and the kitchen for making this evening so special. The last time we were here, we were a *VERY* late walk-up, and the same manager sat us at the bar area, where Mike the bartender took us under his wing. We weren't sure if he recognised our group or not, but he treated us like Rock Start Royalty. If I have my way, by the time I'm done with this place, everyone will know me by name!

Yelp
Let me tell you everything about this place was great. Our server Diego handled our party of 15 incredibly well. Everything we ordered had beautiful presentation and tasted like heaven. It was a great place to celebrate a birthday and have a large party. Also reserving the place came with ease and kindness as well. We definitely be back.

Yelp
The food was amazing and service on point. Cute little place serving great food from pizza to pasta. We had the cheese wheel pasta one with added chicken and one with shrimp. It was cold outside so a nice hot meal got the spot. Plenty of food. We also had a small salad and appetizer bread. Yum.

Yelp
This place was a hidden gem. Didn't think we would be able to order the pasta from the cheese wheel not having reservations, but they went ahead and accommodated. Would definitely go back the next time we visit Tucson. Everyone was super friendly and the servers were helpful with making decisions on appetizers. The bread and butter was to die for!!! Perfection!

Yelp
Ordered take out for a cozy date night at home. The smoked cookie was worth eating before the pizza. Great pizza crust!

Yelp
Finally got to try the flaming cheese wheel which was so fun and def makes any regular Alfredo pasta A LOT better. The experience was so fun and food delicious. I will say our dinner did take 2.5 hours though and over 90 minutes to even get to the part of the cheese wheel, I'm not sure that is is normal for a Saturday but what a great food experience.

Yelp
Came here for lunch based on the Neopolitan style pizza. When you walk in its a very inviting open area. We were seated quickly and got our drinks. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in on us frequently. We order the bruschetta that was great, about the only downside to it was the thickness of the bread. We got a pizza that I'm not even going to try and spell but it had prosciutto, mushrooms that were brined, kalamatta olives and nice chunks of mozzarella cheese as a true Neopolitan pizza should. The dough was perfect with a nice chew in the center and crispy outside crust. Overall this was a great meal that I highly recommend and we will be back.

Yelp
Vero Amore has changed enormously in the last 18 months or so. The food is never consistent, and the service is sporadic depending on the server ( we love Annette and Colin who provide outstanding customer service. The restaurant itself is in need of a thorough cleaning. The wooden tables beneath the glass tops appear to have a green substance, what could it be? Often the tables and chairs haven't been cleaned as they have crumbs, etc on them. As for the food, on a couple of occasions, has been very bad and caused food poisoning like symptoms. There's been a huge turnover of managers which impacts this business. Actually, Sam was an outstanding manager, extraordinaire ! Flying Leap, clean up this place.

R C.

Yelp
As we walked in, rude old lady explaining the procedures of how the reservation works and that we needed one as the place was empty. Service was very disappointing. Don't know how this place is running but definitely will not recommend this place to anyone.

Mellisa M.

Yelp
went for the first time the server was great and friendly but the pasta was hard and tasted old. My mom was very happy with her pizza and the appetizer firebread was delicious!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time. Made a reservation for the fettuccini alfredo cheese wheel experience, which they only take by phone for Thursday-Sundays. It was pretty neat, but I will say it does cost $32 per person, which they do not ever tell you until you get the final bill. Tried the smoky mule cocktail that was good, but the drinks were around $12-$15 each. The wood-fired bread appetizer had a fresh herb butter that I would highly recommended. Overall, the food and customer service were both amazing, so it was worth the cost to me! The only downside to the ambiance was just how loud the restaurant was. Every table was trying to talk over each other. It would have been nice if they had the outside patio open. Additionally, there is supposed to be a hidden speakeasy bar inside the restaurant somewhere that is reservations only and there was a live band just outside in the plaza.

Yelp
We tried Vero Amore for the first time the other night, and were very happy with our meal there! It's a surprisingly cozy space, combining elements of vintage decor with more modern touches. The open kitchen also means it smells delicious immediately upon entry. We started with cocktails: both the Boulevardier and the Pomegranate Spritz were delicious! I'd definitely get either one again. The Pomegranate Spritz was very tart and refreshing; I'd love sipping one outside when the weather is moderate. We also got the Wood-Fired Bread, which is a must, in my opinion. The round loaf came out steaming hot, and the airy bread was perfect dipped in olive oil or slathered with herb butter. For our entrees, we got the Pasta Pomodoro (bowtie pasta with tomato, basil, garlic, and white wine) with added chicken, and the Mediterranean Pasta (bowtie pasta with sundried tomatoes, pine nuts, Kalamata olives, and grilled chicken in a creamy pesto, topped with Gorgonzola). The Pomodoro was a nice, lighter summery dish with a strong garlic presence (not a bad thing!). The Mediterranean was a little heavier due to the cream sauce, but the olives and tomatoes provided bright hits of salt and acid. Service was good overall, though perhaps on the slow side. I look forward to returning and trying more of their delicious-looking pastas!

Yelp
It's almost not fair, I wish I was still hungry! The smells are amazing in this place, nice relaxing music, our nice server was Annette, she was attentive and kind! The shrimp MUST BE JUMBO or EXTRA JUMBO!!!! Omg!!!! Yesssss!!!!! They were done if the largest tastiest shrimp Ive ever had! Very savory! The pasta, Al dente - perfection!!! Alfredo sauce super creamy and cheesy! Here's my tip - they allow you to split a salad! The pizza is cooked right in front of you in an open kitchen and the crust was crispy and flavorful! Tiramisu??? Faagettt 'bout it!!! Coffee, ladyfingers with that chocolate drizzle was a wonderful way to finish our meal! They have plenty of seating outside too! I'll definitely be back!! This place is a DEFINITE WINNNNNN!!!!

Yelp
Food was delish! The service took a while. Unsure why, wasn't a busy night. Maybe short staffed? Loved that I could order pizza without cheese. I ordered the marinara and added peppers. The bread/dough is baked to perfection. We were there celebrating a friends birthday. She was craving Italian. She ate more bread than anything. So she had leftovers for the following day! Super yummy next time I would want to try a pasta!
google avatar

Yelp
Recently went in on the weekend to try the pasta wheel pasta which is Alfredo! The only disappointing part was that they lost our reservation and I was worried we wouldn't get the pasta wheel. However they still got us sat in time and served. I added shrimp to my pasta wheel experience and it was so so good. It's big enough you could split it and I wish I would've because the leftovers weren't as good the next day. Loved the calamari and bread appetizer. If you're looking for a unique dining experience definitely make a reservation for the weekend (it's busy) and note that you want the cheese wheel which is only during the weekend

Yelp
This is above and beyond my favorite Italian place in Tucson, in a town that has great Italian food they stand above and beyond the rest. Excellent quality food, superior wine, and the best service in town. Thank you you to Chels for a great dinner tonight! Mangia!

Yelp
My FAVORITE lasagna in Tucson! I especially enjoy their drink selections and beer menu is a plus! The service is always friendly, fast and reliable! I'm never left waiting for anything I ask for. It gets pretty loud but it flows with the environment perfectly! Pizza is delicious too
google avatar

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Do not recommend the wood fired pizza. Pizza crust was limp tomato sauce plain. We sat outside on the patio. We were the only ones outside. The server did not come so the hostess decided to take our order and serve us. When we addressed the quality of the pizza we were told that the oven probably wasn't hot enough and maybe it should have stayed in longer. Such poor service.

Yelp
Had a wonderful family lunch here. Our server Noah was wonderful. Very attentive and answered all of our questions. Restaurant is nicely decorated and very comfortable. The food was cooked wonderfully. We loved the toasted ravioli and the meatball appetizer. Three of us had chicken dishes and in all of them the chicken was very tender. I was able to sample the two dishes I didn't order. I really enjoyed the bite of the chicken parmesan. My dish the marsala was flavorful and tender. Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

Bougie P.

Yelp
Food is basic and I feel this place is a bit overrated. Their lasagna is lasagna-- nothing compelling or addictive in comparison to other lasagna you've probably had. This place is also the kind of place where the staff and clients are friends with each other to a degree that they'll let children sit at the bar and then use profanity in their communication with one another in front of other patrons. Just creates an unprofessional impression and an unsettling atmosphere for dining out. Skip this place and go to Zio Peppe instead.

Yelp
The high noon tea was in the back in a speakeasy, cute and quaint. Table setting was very sweet with a rose napkin in your teacup. Tea bag's in your cup instead of steeped in teapot but we tried a few different flavors. The Cherry blossom was the best. The scones were chocolate chip or cranberry orange, both were good but large and no Devonshire cream or lemon curd, but apple butter, jam or whipped cream. Choice of tomato bisque soup or salad and soup was delicious and served in a teacup - very cute! Sandwiches were chicken salad, cucumber and focaccia with smoked Cheese and prosciutto... all the breads were good but on dense side not light. Dessert was mini eclairs (I recognized them from Safeway frozen dept) and macaroons. No ambiance music but I am a tea snob and hard to please. It was cute but over priced. The company you keep really makes it!

Yelp
We went here today for the first time, trying a new place. It a nice little spot with lots of shaded outside seating, and plenty of seating indoors. They have a bar and a back room for special occasions, or private parties. It was really lovely! The hostess was kind and the waitress was very nice. They got very busy just after we ordered, but they both kept an eye on our table and asked about the food or brought refills for drinks. Mom really liked her Pasta Pomodoro, Dad enjoyed his Fettuccine Alfredo, both lunch portions. I got the Chicken Parmesan and it was delicious. I found out that they make their pizza dough and their bread dough, and they don't add sugar, so I will be back to try their pizza! If you are in the mood for delicious Italian food, I would suggest you try this restaurant at Swan and Ft. Lowell.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting Vero Amore and we will definitely be back! It's a happening little place but has great seating without feeling crammed. Our table ordered the margherita pizza, fettuccini Alfredo w/blacked salmon, and 2 orders of the cioppino. The fettuccini was 10 stars... the sauce was delicious, creamy, a little funky from the cheese, and perfectly coated the noodles. The blackened salmon was a great compliment and was tender and flaky. The pizza was done well nicely charred crust, not too much sauce and the right amount of toppings. I gave the food a 4 because while the guys enjoyed the cioppino, there were a significant amount of clams that didn't open. However, the server was fantastic and asked the guys if they'd like more clams or mussels instead. They voted mussels and the kitchen sent over a big bowl. Now that's service! The manager/owner noticed our box from Flying Leap and came over to chat. Overall, I'd give this place a 4.5 and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Not impressed with the flavors and it was packed during Rodeo week. They did have a flaming cheese wheel which was fun but it was so busy we did not order it. The first issue was we were seated and then a few more tables were seated and were served before we were. I had to call over another server to take care of us. The server was amazing and very nice. We ordered the Garlic Cheese bread for an app and it was good. I order a glass of wine which did not get to the table until after the entrees. We received our entrees which were ok, we order the Chicken Mimosa and we also ordered the Margarita pizza. Both were good but I was not overly impressed. My daughter loved everything so that just goes to show you how reviews can be wildly different. I will give it another chance in the future.

Yelp
everytime i come to town i will stop in for some Italian food. Friday night really disappointed me. I had reservations at 7pm and when we arrived at 7:02pm there was no table ready and we waited for 5 minutes. next we waited 5 minutes for our drink order a d it was just not organized but the food was great. I needed refills and that took time to get water and tea at the table. my waitress was ok but it could have been better. I believe my bill was $280 and service should be better.

Yelp
I actually went to a holiday event on a Thursday evening catered by Vero Amore and went with some friends Friday evening. We are all retired so we set our reservation for 4pm. It was busy but it picked up as we were leaving. This is the review for the dine-in experience. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Since we have 10, we had called ahead a few days before and they setup the tables together for us. All of the staff treated us all well like we were celebrities. I decided to try the Chicken Marsala (see attached picture). It came with noodles on the side. The Marsala wine definitely came through. It was stronger than I was used too, but not too overpowering for me. If you are not a wine drinker, it could be. I really enjoyed it though. I was surprised there was no bread or salad, just the entree. My friends had different dishes and commented on the same thing. At several of the italian places were we frequent, the portions are much larger. While I was not still hungry, I was not completely full either. Others commented similarly. I would like to come back and try some other dishes.

Yelp
We've been to Vero many times and the food has always been delicious, so this review has nothing to do with the food, it has to do with our experience tonight. Before heading over I called to see if they were accepting walk-ins and they told me that it was really busy inside, but there was outside seating. We've sat outside before, so this wasn't an issue for us. We get there and the lady being the "host" did not look happy to be there. There was a group ahead of us and they said that they had reservations. The host told them that they didn't have their reservations, but they could sit them outside. Then my wife went up to the host and she was very short and told her she was still helping a group that was behind us. While she was helping them another couple came in and were waiting with us. When the lady was done with the other group, she says "ok, who is next ". My wife once again stepped up to let her know we needed a table for two. She tells her that they were not taking any walk-ins for tonight. Keep in mind that they just sat two groups of four people who were walk/ins. I then asked how about for seating outside and this lady told us "it's for the kitchen, so we can give them a break". I couldn't believe she said that to us. In all my years of going out to dinner I've never had a business turn us away because they wanted to give their kitchen a break! I'm a very logical person and was trying to understand her stance and I couldn't. What we did notice was that the group ahead of us who were walk-ins were white and the second group was also white. I've never experienced anything like this first hand and was really surprised and disappointed. Needless to say, we will never be back there. It's sad because the food is really good, but we know were we are not wanted.

Yelp
Took my family here for dinner. The service was outstanding. We started with the garlic cheese bread that was very good. The portions on the main dishes were very large and three of us got 2 meals out of it. One person had the calzone which was really big. One had the meatball meatball linguini and one had the fettuccini Alfredo and ate all of it. I had the chicken mimosa that had prosciutto, artichoke hearts and bowtie pasta with chicken. Some of the bowtie pasta did not have the spinach sauce on them so would have liked more sauce. There was more artichoke pieces than I needed but it was okay. Three of us needed a box to take half home. The dessert options were certainly tempting but we were full and not in need of extra calories.

Yelp
Went here this weekend after being on my list for awhile. The hostess was very friendly and seated us quickly. Our server was... well he was there doing his job, but I wouldn't say he was necessarily friendly or inviting. But again he did his job and was on top of keeping our waters full, which was a job on a hot weekend! We liked meatball appetizer and the sauce it came in. It tasted fresh and flavorful. My chicken mimosa was indeed rich, and delicious, I loved it. My husband's pomodoro pasta however seemed really lacking, very bland. Salt and pepper helped a bit but ultimately we took it home to soup it up ourselves.

Yelp
This was the second time I have gone to Vero Amore, and this time our group decided to try the flaming cheese wheel experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with interesting decorations hanging from the ceiling. I definitely enjoyed the flaming cheese wheel, where you get to watch your pasta getting made in front of you! I will say some of the dishes were a higher price than I would have hoped, especially when you have to pay extra for most of the protein. However, I overall enjoyed the experience, and would definitely go back to have the cheese wheel!

Yelp
Average Italian restaurant in central Tucson. They do have plenty of outdoor seating and staff was very attentive during our visit. The menu is typical Italian food with a similar listing of cocktails and wine. I ordered fettuccini Alfredo which tasted decent but I couldn't get past the fact it was just drenched in butter (and that's coming from a butter lover). It is located in a nice plaza with some nearby shopping and other food/drink options such as Trident Grill.
google avatar

Juan B.

Yelp
Well, their idea of a bruschetta is stale bread with hardened cheese, no basil, and chunks of tomatoes scattered about. Terrible, they said what I wanted was a burrata, never heard of that, and it cost double, don't know what's going on with this place, but it's not for the better. When I came in, sat at the bar, no one was there and it took ten minutes for someone to come over, all their best bourbon has also been moved to the back, the speak easy and thy open at six, if you can get in. Totally disappointed, it use to be a decent place to eat and have some great bourbon...

Carlos B.

Yelp
Pasta was extra creamy and the pizza had a great crispy crust. The wait staff were super attentive and the restaurant wasn't too loud to have a good conversation with my group.

Daysi D.

Yelp
Chicken Mimosa was fantastic and great price. Best non-red sauce dinner that I can remember having in a very long time. Excellent service and reasonable prices. Great atmosphere. Soft music but able converse.

Yelp
We came here for a birthday and were seated promptly. The fresh bread from the oven was delicious, as was the calamari. I was not as excited about my dish as I'd hoped- it was tomato and olive sauce with pasta- not bad just not remarkable. We should have gotten pizza because everything that came out of that oven looked like heaven. Atmosphere was fine but nothing special as our table was tucked in a corner next to the kitchen and the restroom. I've been before and I'll be back.

Yelp
Our server was nice and the service was good! The cheese wheel was fun, although the actually Alfredo pasta needed more sauce. The pizza dough was cooked perfectly! The caesar salad was good however the bread was chewy and oily I wish it was a bit crunchier or softer. The chicken was not great, and quite dry. Deserts were very good. It's a good tiramisu, it had less alcohol taste than other tiramisus and more chocolatey. If you're into a more chocolate forward tiramisu you would like it, it had less depth in liquor flavor, but a lot of marscapone! The margarita pizza was good, and I really did enjoy my tiramisu. I didn't love the flavor of the garlic and tomato pasta, although it had a good amount of sauce. Again chicken is consistently dry on that dish too. Also, I noticed some of the ingredients listed on the menu do not come out/were missing from the dish. example: parmesan on margarita pizza and pine nuts on the roasted garlic and tomato pasta dish. Just something I noticed, doesn't change the final dish too much but it's the little things. If it's listed on the set menu they serve everyday, I would expect it to come out as listed. Unless the server said they were out of an ingredient that was listed after ordering. Overall I would come back here for pizza and tiramisu. The patio looked nice as well. I wouldn't come back for pasta personally as both pasta dishes weren't the best.

Yelp
The food was really good. I had the flaming cheese wheel fettuccini with chicken and it was delicious! I would definitely come back for that! I will never understand why restaurants serve "chilled" red wine... smh.. I ordered a Shiraz that wasn't chilled and it was good.. but the first, a merlot, came off a tap... yuck but other than the wine issues.. everything was good.. the black mussels with the garlic white wine sauce was really good and my husband enjoyed the wood fired pizza. Anette was our server and she was really nice. The bar restaurant was nice, I would definitely come and sit out on the patio next time.

Yelp
Saw the flaming wheel of cheese online and wanted to try it since we had experienced it in the past elsewhere. The restaurant was empty and quiet when we arrived at 4pm. We were seated and offered the wine list. Chose a bottle for the table and ordered the wood fired bread. The server was not well versed in wine. It was a DOCG and she didn't know what that was. She had a difficult time removing the cork because she was not using the cork screw properly and when she poured, it splashed out of the glass and then she dripped it across the table, not knowing to tip the bottle after the pour. It may seem like nit picking, but these are things a server should know. The wood fire bread was really good. If this is their pizza dough, I bet their pizzas are good. We all chose the flaming wheel fettuccini Alfredo. The tableside show was entertaining. We were told that they just cracked this new wheel and we were the 2nd table to use it. Three of us added shrimp and one added chicken. The pasta was a nice portion but it had NO FLAVOR. It seriously lacked salt and with the addition of fresh Parmigiano, it should have not needed any. As a matter of fact, there was no cheese flavor at all. The pasta came out of the kitchen with a cream sauce on it and was then added to the cheese wheel and tossed. We have tried this at other restaurants and enjoyed the flavor. Not worth the $32 cost. You could order Fettuccini Alfredo off their menu for $17 and have the exact same flavor. We asked for a dessert menu but never saw one and then the check was dropped at our table and were never asked if we wanted anything else. Not a $$$ positive experience I want to repeat.

Yelp
Arrived at 5pm on a Friday, appeared about less than half full. Hostess informed me that they were having a private event & that only one table was available. Fine. Waitress Caylista arrived quickly with water for myself & mom. She was pleasant & professional, took our order & appetizer of Calamari arrived shortly after. It was delicious & I'll certainly try it again. Main for mom was the daily special, Blackened Salmon which she really enjoyed, portion was generous, but not huge. I enjoyed the Eggplant Parmigiana & it was cooked well done they way I like it. Beer selection on Tap & Bottle was pretty good, about 10 taps & 10 bottles I believe. Excellent wine selection as well. Ambiance was nice, some vintage food scales hanging from the ceiling, a bit of photography as well. Not very full, but the acoustics make the place sound louder than other places, quiet music was playing when we arrived, but seemed to get turned off shortly afterwards. Place looked clean & efficient, I'll certainly return to try the certified authentic Neopolitan pizza they have. 4 stars only because the private event they were hosting was a slight bit confusing for those guests arriving & not having a clear entry point to the bar/tables because of the tables with food were blocking the regular entry point. Everything else was on point, Waitress checked on us & refilled waters. Definitely will return!

Yelp
Beautiful and inviting outdoor patio with TVs and couches for relaxing atmosphere, yet upscale vibe on other open air side of patio and interior. Amelia was lovely patient waitress, checking on us several times. Food while aok was not $22 worthy for Chicken San Marzano. While I liked the sauce there was 3x more than chicken and noodles swimming in it, so for presentation it was sloppy and also same for eating. 2 chicken pcs and noodles were overcooked not al dente. Btw the garlic chicken on menu stated it includes chicken or shrimp but in the same line there's an add-on charge for ea? Asked Amelia, she had to confirm, but no protein included, so it's $26 for almost same dish with garlic and cream! Maybe worth it IF the noodles were house made and cooked to proper toothiness. Pepperoni pizza $15 was quite salty which hubby liked but could go easier on salt for sure as both the pep and fresh mozz cheese are naturally salty. Despite the wood-fired oven, pizzas come out blonde and floppy in middle. Definitely should take full advantage of the blistering heat of a wood fire and char the crust so it's crisp like true Neopolitans, and snaps when you bite it. 1/2 size Salads $7-8 were nice size, about 7" mounded heap. Both Caesar not overdressed and Garden with tomato balsamic on side were satisfying, fresh and came quickly. Best value however are the cocktails! $10 for premium spirits and a double pour on their Sazerac, served up in brandy glass. Not in a rush to return, filled our tummys, and great drink and atmosphere, but for $67 for 2 people wo tip, we didn't come away satiated for our Italian or pizza hankerings boo hoo.

Yelp
Great food--four of us dined here and everyone's entree was excellent! Great service! They were out of cannoli, that was our only complaint

Yelp
Vera Tyler, Gilbert, Max you all seem nice enough but Max where was the greeting, can I get you anything else, blah blah blah. As far as the food goes, I think it was very mediocre. I ordered the shrimp Diavolo,(?), it was just OK, very soupy, although the 5 shrimp, cooked perfectly, pasta was over cooked. My husband got the chicken Madeira, that was just OK as well. Definitely, neither dish was worth $22 each. Also, it was the worst Paloma, way too much salt that we sucked up in our drink and I've never tasted a worst Tom Collins ever. I just CAN'T

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Vero Amore for a while, and it was unfortunately a disappointing experience. Hostess was rather rude and cold to us; we could see her laughing and chatting with other tables but came off short with us. Sat by the bar, and the bartender was very nice, but had a few issues with our orders (such as putting in the wrong appetizer). He did correct issues very quickly through, and was apologetic and kind. The food was good, and it was fun doing the Cheese Wheel Experience. However, seeing the unexpected extra charge for it was not so fun! The extra price was not mentioned when I called ahead of time to ask about the experience, nor was it mentioned by the hostess, or the bartender when asked about it. It also wasn't listed online or on their menu. I'm glad I got the experience but disappointed in the hidden fees, and would've preferred to know ahead of time. Space was very small but nice, and had to get up from the table to do the cheese experience as they couldn't fit the cart through to our table.

Yelp
For starters, Colin was a great server! Everyone was super friendly and helpful from the beginning. Even (what appeared to be a cook) sitting out on the patio was assuring we were happy with our seating, and that the game showing was what we wanted. The food, OMG was stellar. We had to order another round of meatballs they were so good!! I ordered the mediterranean pasta- minus the olives & gorgonzola. They ended up messing it up (one without olives but with Gorgonzola and vice versa lol so twice they messed up ) but nonetheless made things right! (hey everyone makes mistakes- no worries as they recognized it and fixed it promptly - as well as being open and honest throughout that process!) My bf ended up loving my pasta without the fixings I asked for to be removed- and we asked to pay & take the mistaken pastas regardless as we don't like wasting! (and lovedddd the pasta!) ~they didn't charge us for any mistaken dishes may i add!~the ambiance was so cute too! cute deco! we sat outside as we're visiting from PHX and trying to enjoy this weather :,) minus the many flies (which is hard for any restaurant to control) we had an exceptional experience! Will definitely be back. Now- what you've all been waiting for... my bf & I consider ourselves self espresso martini connoisseurs.. as we try them nearly every place we dine in to... and they nailed it!! The espresso martinis here are a solid 9/10... they perfected their craft with: the perfect amount of cream, espresso and alcohol. And included the 3 obligatory beans.

Yelp
Waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Didn't take a picture of the calamari but it was some of the best calamari I've ever had, most tables ordered it while we were there. Was exited to try the chicken mimosa from the reviews but it was extremely tart like lemon or vinegar that we couldn't eat it. The menu mentioned that it was rich, but not tart. Sad :( that I couldn't enjoy it. All other dishes were good and the shrimps were huge! The fresh Parmesan from the cheese wheel was great. Good value for the price
