Veronica’s Kitchen Review - Inglewood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation
"A meal at Veronica’s feels like you’re eating inside someone’s house, not an actual restaurant. The simple space has a few scattered tables and a grainy TV in the corner, but what it lacks in objective charm, it more than makes up for with tremendous Nigerian food, cooked by Veronica herself. Whether you’re familiar with Nigerian cuisine or not, your first order of business here needs to be the egusi. It’s a rich, fragrant stew made from dried melon seeds, pumpkin leaves, palm oil, onions, and your choice of protein on top. We usually do a mix of chicken and goat, with a giant ball of fufu (pounded yam and plantains) on the side." - Brant Cox

"Similarly, a search for Veronica’s Kitchen on TikTok shows that most of the top viral videos featuring the restaurant and its fufu were published in late 2021." - ByMaggie Hennessy
I'd choose this spot for regular meals. Staff members display outstanding friendliness and assist with whatever request. Their meals come in abundant quantities. I always feel happy and nourished after eating here. The food satisfied us, staff was friendly, and our time there was nice.

Each moment of my time here held something unexpectedly good. This place serves heritage meals expertly. The team displayed exceptional approachability and assistance. The restaurant's ambiance matches its appearance. We'll add this to our itinerary for next time.

Amazing value! My favorite is bbq beef rib served on Wednesday and Friday, but the jerk chicken is top notch also!

3.5 so far. $7 Small plate was more than enough portion for me. (This is based on someone who can finish her Big Mac but can’t finish her beloved fries.) I’d rather have a $5 smaller plate.
The stew chicken just fell off the bone! But the flavor was bland. The yams melt in your mouth but not too sweet. Collards were perfect, not too salty. Have to try the jerk chicken and curry goat before I finalize the rating though.
Oxtail was good but the beans in the rice was dry.

I had been here twice. The first time the food was just ok. It's hard to get a chickpea roti in Manhattan so I went back 6 months later. NO LOVE... barely any flavor in the roti. The chicken still had the bone and no flavor. The second time around the hot sauce was extra weak. The only thing that was done right was the ginger beer. I had the homemade version before and they did it justice

Yeah. Sides no flavor. Jerk chicken was just hella peppery and over cooked. Oxtail was over cooked. Only thing good was the oxtail stew sauce. Only cash and no receipt either. Not going back
