Vertical View Climbing Gym

We brought our Moxie Java staff to Vertical View for our Christmas party, and it was an absolute blast! The ropes course was exciting, challenging in all the right ways, and so much fun for our whole team. The staff at Vertical View were incredible—supportive, encouraging, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone had a great experience. We had the best afternoon together. Highly recommend Vertical View for any team event or group outing!

Our family loves Vertical View! It’s one of our favorite ways to spend time as a family. The staff is always so friendly and helpful! We have been climbing there for awhile, and tonight we tried their new ropes course! It was an absolute blast! We even hosted our son’s birthday party here, and it was a great experience! We 10/10 recommend Vertical View for a great experience with climbing and play!

My kids love it!! My 7 year old and I have been coming here to climb for a year and we have come to know the staff and owners fairly well. My daughter was 6 when she started climbing here. She started out on the auto belay kid walls and couldn't get enough. Within a month, the staff taught me how to belay so that my daughter could climb higher, more difficult routes. 1 year and over 500 climbs later, she still loves it! The staff and owners have been so kind and willing to teach us more about climbing and techniques of how to be a better climber. Very family friendly gym and the other climbers love to chat and encourage. We have been to other gyms and most are not as welcoming as the Vertical View family.

I have been wanting to climb here for years but due to injuries and surgeries everytime I’m up here I was unable until last week. My experience was awesome! This place is a must do for me on every trip here. The staff and other climbers were so very friendly. It had been a while since I belayed anyone so I took the belay class to brush up and my daughter took it to learn to belay. It was a great way to learn or freshen up if you’ve been out for a long time. The four story climbing walls were great. I loved the longer climb. I think on our next trip we’re also going to do the ropes course. 🥰

The course felt very safe, and I love that there are so many levels because I am a little bit afraid of heights. I was able to pick the right one for my comfort level. You could also spend a lot of time on this course because there are so many elements to it. My son had to go back and do some more after having done the drop at the top because he was having so much fun. Very cool!

Took a church youth group in. Noah did a fantastic job showing us the ropes. Literally. He kept our group safe and left an impression on the boys. Excellent experience.

I have been coming to work out in the gym but have really been impressed by the facility. The locker rooms, sauna, shower are nice and they seem to have every bit of equipment I would want! This wall loos a bit daunting for someone who has never climbed, but a good challenge!

I went to VV with a group of people who have Parkinson's Disease. The staff there were friendly, efficient, and encouraging. They seemed to have routes that worked well for climbers in various stages of PD.

When we walked in we when to the front and got 2 day tickets and a pair of shoes. You don't need helmets and when you look to the left there are manual belays and automatic ones. It is super friendly place and for the day pass of twenty dollars it is totally worth it. Spectacular place and would go again.

This place is AMAZING. My wife and I decided to try it for date night despite neither of us having ever tried rock climbing before. They were super welcoming and helpful. It's absolutely a place novices can enjoy too. But I was amazed by what the more advanced people were doing. It was like out of a movie. It's super fun and the facility is just amazing. In my photo you can zoom in and see a person scaling the wall to get a sense of scale. It's massive!!

What a fun place! Be prepared to walk in your first time and your jaw crash to the ground. While this looks like a massive place, it is more massive when you enter due to the sunken floor with stadium step seating. Colored pegs litter the climbing walls, chatter bounces around the gym, people greeting you. Climbing for all levels happens here. Hop to their website to find a climbing class and clinics for you. I took a belay class with 10 friends and we just had the best night and learned a lot of climbing safety with hands on experience. There are several walls to get you rolling, we started on what I call the baby wall, maybe 10 feet tall. This is where we learned knot tying, safety steps, and the bare basics of climbing. Once Luke and Lilly helped us learn and learn and learn, we went to the step up wall which IS a step up, I would say about 30 feet (a guess). They helped us learn the climbing talk and acted as a safety backup to ensure our climbing partner was safe as we learned how to belay with a climber. Talk about trust! After our belay class, I was able to walk around and take it all in. On the top floor there is a workout space, cardio, yoga/barre classes, and I stumbled into what I think is a kids wall (so cool). The second from the top floor looks like lounging, pingpong, just a hangout space. I think this is where the kid climbing wall is access so a fun game space would make sense. The walk to get to the top floor and the kid-ish space is magnificent. It looks upon the massive, extra grownup wall... maybe 60 feet or higher (also a guess). (Bouldering, lead climbing and top rope options.) Climbers of all kind working their magic, onlookers sitting on small cushioned spaces watching and relaxing. A small store is also available to purchase climbing gear. I didn't look too deep at this but I am sure buyers can find what they need to make their climbing collection compete. Parking in plenty, elevators for access (I wonder if they have an adapted program??), people working are super friendly and informative! Pricing is steepish (in my eyes and if you plan on going three times a month, it might be worth this to just buy a monthly membership). Equipment available to rent as well. Lots of pricing options like yoga/workout only, climbing, daily, monthly, and discounted memberships as you add more people to your primary membership. An exciting place to learn and play!

This place is absolutely fantastic! My son spent two days climbing here. If you're thinking about trying this place don't hesitate! The people that work here absolutely love their job and it shows!

My wife and I traded our successful corporate lives for a life on the road in a skoolie. We've been to quite a few climbing gyms all over the country, Vertical View is our new favorite. We extended our stay in the Boise by another month soley because we love Vertical View (sorry to the family if they ever read this, we love you too) which ended up costing us another ~$800, we still think it was worth the added cost . 5 stars for their walls, 5 stars for the cleanliness, and 5 stars for the staff. We highly recommend this gym. It seems to make a lot of difference that it seems the building was purpose built for a climbing gym.

This place is awesome! I've been to a lot of climbing gyms and this was by far the nicest. The staff was so friendly, the whole place was very clean, and the climbing routes were so much fun. If I lived close enough, I would definitely get a membership. Can't wait to go back!

Vertical Veiw went beyond the mark with their customer service. We had a group of twelve boys that were experiencing climbing for the first time. The were supported and encouraged incredibly. Whey loved it and it was fun to see their success. Thank you Tyson Gray we will be back.

Great gym with a large range of climbs. Beginners and visitors are met kindly by staff and members. The top rope & trad walls are the tallest in the city. Everything is kept clean and incredibly ventilated throughout the gym, especially in the bouldering area. Whether you're new or experienced, this gym will provide the experience you're looking for.

An amazing indoor climbing gym. I've been a member here for a few months and love it. It's nice to go in and challenge yourself with the various styles of climbing. The membership cost is very fair and offers total freedom. It's great for kids and adults. My kids have a blast when I bring them along.
