Such a lovely coffee shop. Came early on a Saturday morning and it was not busy at all. Quiet and was able to get some work done. The iced latte was so smooth and the capaccino tasted as good as it looked! We also ordered a side of toast with jam and butter. The jam we amazing, homemade I believe. Love this place

It is one of the best specialty coffee shops in Los Angeles. I always go there and they have many branches in Los Angeles. This coffee shop has comfortable seating to spend some time with your friends or if you have some work to finish, this is the right place for you. They have wonderful and delicious coffee. I ordered V60. It is a drip coffee. I always recommend this coffee shop.

I really like this shop's coffee. The coffee is unique, fragrant, and smooth. When I tried it for the first time, I was so hooked that I bought several bags to take home and make for myself. The shop has many seats. Spacious atmosphere You can sit and work comfortably in the shop.

Open space with a nice selection of pastries and coffees. Alternative milks are $1 extra, I got the latte and a kouign-amann which was alright, I’d probably go for one of the croissants next time and it was $5. I really like the vibe here though. Pretty busy and inviting but parking is slim. They have a to go section as well as some merch available. Baristas were friendly, it was too busy for me to get a table but I would like to come back.

When I walked in here I was completely floored. The space is so well designed and is so calming. Loved the simple and minimal decor. The coffee itself was fabulous. We tried both the house blend and the single origin Ethiopian. My preference was the house blend. The avocado on toast was also brilliant. The croissant was the only let down. Not flaky at all. Overall loved it. Went back a second time on the same day.

Beautiful place with beautiful people and amazing coffee. We tried almost everything here and everyone was happy with the result. Highly recommend!

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience compelled me. Where do I start? The coffee is basic—plain, uninspired, and utterly underwhelming for a place that pretends to be “specialty.” It feels like a sad attempt to mask bad coffee behind fancy jargon and overpriced presentation. The manager? Equally unimpressive. Not helpful, not attentive, and frankly, dismissive. Now, the so-called “freshly baked” chocolate croissant? Please. It was clearly a frozen pastry warmed up to pass as fresh—dry, flavorless, and miles away from the flaky decadence it should be. To top it off, their Instagram posts are as pretentious and off-putting as their coffee. Save your time, money, and sanity—go somewhere that actually understands coffee, hospitality, and authenticity. Verve is just smoke and mirrors.

Visited Verve Coffee Roasters recently and have some mixed feelings. The place has a great vibe - really loved the atmosphere and the coffee was top-notch, definitely lived up to the hype. They have a good variety of food too. But, I ordered their jam toast and wasn’t too impressed. They served the bread, jam, and butter all separate, which was kind of odd. The biggest letdown was how long it took to get my toast - waited around 20 minutes. For a simple toast, that’s a bit much. Overall, great spot for coffee lovers but the food service could use some speeding up. Would go back for the coffee, but maybe skip the food if you’re in a rush.

Decently made latte! Very quiet and chill vibes, great for studying or working. Coffee is solid would come back for sure!

Get your coffee and get out. Nice coffee shop, but terrible for remote work. No electrical outlets, parking is terrible as there is a tiny parking lot and the street parking is very restricted in this area because you're not allowed to park in the neighborhood. Also gets very crowded with many people jostling for seats.

I've been coming to Verve for a long time, probably 10 years by now. The service has gone so downhill the past year and I don't understand what is going on. Employees are much more focused on talking amongst themselves than taking care of the line. Once someone does come to the register, it's usually a nasty attitude and they make you feel like you're a bother. Only reason I return is because the drink never disappoints and it's one of the few places you can get a 16oz for less than $7.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First time ever at a Verve coffee and will definitely never visit any other location. The location is fine, very hard to find parking, ended up parking in the street. Vibe inside was snobby, didn't dig it but could've gotten past it if the coffee had been any good. The iced chai latte was the grossest thing I've ever tried. It had a weird bitter aftertaste that I just couldn't get past. My husband got a flavored latte and he did not like his either. He said not worth going out of your way for. It was so bad we got to go cups, walked out and threw our cups away and walked up the street to Starbucks.

beautiful aesthetic coffee shop with a urban feel! i really wanted to like this place but i'm not gonna lie, i was pretty disappointed with the lack of flavor in my matcha; for paying $7.25 i expected there to be a littttle more quality. i would probably suggest getting a latte if you do come here because those seemed to look like a nice color and a fan favorite of the other customers. i wasn't a fan that the menu board didn't have the price of each item next to it either ): also side note: be prepared to come here 5-10 minutes earlier to try to find parking!!

I like here's warm and chill vibes, ordered sweetened matcha latte (default is unsweet) with oatmilk and it was pretty good!

This coffee shop has such a good vibe and a great place to sit and do work or study! I tried their iced matcha latte, and my friend got their iced latte, and they were both very good. Unfortunately we both felt that the barista's were a bit rude, but other than that the experience was good.

Verve is the Word! The Verve Coffee Roasters in the Beverly Grove area off the steady flow of 3rd Street and Laurel Avenue is located between Fairfax and Crescent Heights Blvd across from places like Bacari, Fonuts, and is directly next door to Sweetfin. You can pop in and enjoy a robust cup of your favorite caffeinated beverages including one delectable cold brew... milky and non-dairy additives available at your beck and call. The Verve Coffe Roaster crew on Third is by far one of my favorites... They keep customers happy, satisfied, and cups full! The parking lot is pretty easy and cost-free though depending on the time of day can fill up... Additionally they do have some bike racks on the parking lot side and some room in the front with their outdoor seating. Love that V.C.R. has kombucha on tap, lots of seating, strong Wi-Fi, gender-neutral restrooms, plus great music. Recharge in more ways than one at the Verve on 3rd!

My absolute favorite roasters for years on end. Coffee is always dialed perfectly. Extensive menu, very well crafted beverages, and large selection of coffee alternatives. Very prompt service and extensive coffee knowledge. Lots of different seating, very busy. Everyone is working individually or speaking at a comfortable volume, good music too. 10/10

Biggest downside here is that they don't have any outlets even though the entire space is set-up for people to work on their laptops. I sat here for 2 hours and heard at least 10 people ask if outlets were available, so that's the one reason holding me back from a 5 star review because I wouldn't want to come here to work and worry about my battery dying before I finish my coffee. Service and drink wise, things were great. The cashier was friendly but the barista was an absolute sweetheart and checked if my drink was good before I left the counter and offered to remake it if it wasn't up to par. I ordered the hot mocha and it wasn't too sweet and balanced with chocolate. I do wish it was hotter but they were busy and didn't want her to get held up just to remake my drink because of that. It's a calm place, good music, and good wi-fi. Like I mentioned, I just wish outlets were available, as does everyone else working here.

Excellent coffee, friendly staff and dog friendly patio! Their pastries are also amazing and they do serve in coffee in glass cups if you say you're eating there (I forgot to, but my friend got one).

Maybe I ordered the wrong drink, but my vanilla latte was not very good. I like the ambiance and the service was good, so I'll try something different next visit.

The coffee tasted sour and bitter. That is a v weird taste for coffee. I got the regular coffee and my friend got the espresso and they both had that strange taste.

Love this place. Great coffee and location , wish it was open longer in the evening. Love the pour over and Keyon is a great barista, definitely liven up the place. My only critique is that the tables are dirty sometimes, they look dirty just because of the ring stains but also cause they don't wipe them down. Numerous times I found hair and crumbs on the table.

First impression when you walk in is the ambiance is really peaceful and quiet. Great for studying, reading, etc. It's LA prices so be ready to spend some money. I had the ice latte with brown sugar syrup and 2% . I'm not a sweet person so I liked that it wasn't sweet at all

Cute place. Coffee is good but sometimes the staff gets really loud and wild. Feels like I'm at a bar. Also why do they charge $3 for FOAM and literally add so little of it??

From when I walked in to when I left, the line had at least 10 people at all times! This must be the place to get the best drinks! It was very clean inside, there were many places for people to sit inside and a few small tables outside as well. Most people were sitting alone and had their laptops out. I ordered the iced matcha latte and it did not disappoint! It did not come sweetened, but it doesn't need to be. Very flavorful and creamy as it is. I was asked what type of milk I wanted and decided on whole milk. They did have a few other milk substitutions. Tip: If you prefer sweet matcha you may want to ask for it to be sweetened

Perfect place in downtown for a study session. They have outlets for charging. Music wasn't distracting or too loud. Workers are super nice. Coffee tastes good and I also got their kale chicken Caesar wrap (grab and go) and it was pretty good! Definitely will be coming back!

Very tasty latte. Nice polite staff. There were a lot of tables, but the room was all occupied; the coffee shop was in demand. stylish interior. I was satisfied.

Best neighborhood coffee shop. Second best matcha in LA and excellent croissants. Most of the staff are exceptionally friendly and treat each customer like a friend. We love Verve!

What a lovely place to happen upon. Where have I been? The Staff are friendly and offer suggestions ... the toast and fresh blueberry jam just the perfect thing to have with the just right amount of foam cappuccino. Add the background jazz (Spanish I think) playing softly, the sound of spoons on saucers, the hushed conversations and the quiet swoosh of book pages turning - was nearly perfect. Just.

Looking for a good coffee spot? Well you might have found it!! I love verve! Seriously, this is one of the best coffee spot for coffee lovers! They have a cute little parking lot, and I believe they open at 7am most days; they are friendly, clean interior and their coffee is delicious! I usually get a latte or chai latte. I have tried their gebraltor- spelling might be wrong. I haven't tried their pastries but I do love their chia pudding- it's coconut flavor with strawberries and oats on it. It's delicious! Overall, great experience always, and delicious coffee that wakes you up!

PARKING: Street cleaning on Tuesdays from 9am-12pm. Other than that, free street parking is easy south of 3rd. You can't park during gridlock hours (4PM-7PM). Given the parking situation, this is pretty ideal for a working spot, and it shows! Came here today at 9:30AM, and the place was pretty packed, though not 100% full, plenty of space at the common table at the bar seating. A bonus is it's next to Sweetgreen which is a great lunch option if you care for it :) As a coffee shop, I think the ~vibes~ are okay. It definitely feels modern, but I don't know if I like all the grey everywhere, it feels a bit depressing to me. However, their coffee is GREAT! Since Yelp is for food (technically?) I'm giving them a five star. I got a decaf Americano and it was so flavorful. Love.

Bowl of soul always. This location has a few tables of people working at them, and a small parking lot. It was full when I left but I was able to grab a spot when I pulled in. The coffee shop is modern and you probably will be able to find a spot to sit, but you might have to sit outside.

Verve is one of my favorite coffee shops and the one on 3rd is amazing. The coffee is so so good, the staff is friendly, and the space is perfect to hang out in or do some work. Parking is also relatively easy, as they have a shared lot. I'm usually lucky enough to find an empty spot in the lot.

Went there early I wanted to catch in space to sit. Luckily I got a space by the door inside towards the outside. They have a decent outside area but it looks really small and I think it's by the parking lot in the back. The inside is very inviting and spacious with an open concept. I love that you can see them make your coffee and How neat they keep the area overall. The study area is plenty but you'll be sitting side-by-side if the place gets full. They have another seating area by the mirror so you'll be looking at yourself a lot as well as people behind you which is actually a great eye full! I think it's their thing with mirrors because the verve in West Hollywood has same concept but much more pillows and throws than this place. I got the Americano with four shots. The barista was very unhappy to be there and was just so curt & Unfriendly. I thought maybe he skipped his coffee this morning or maybe it just didn't have any more effect. It was my second time coming here but my first time with a sour face in the morning. Thank goodness there were others to buffer the mood. Not that that it is a requirement to smile, but certainly so early in the morning I was hoping to see the frown upside down. Just like my eggs sunny side up.

If you want cold coffee with an indifferent attitude this is your spot. I've been coming here since it opened. The staff used to be friendly and know what they are doing but I guess corporate policy took over and they hired cheap labor that doesn't really care about what they do. The old staff knew you by name and really went out of their way. With so many people looking for jobs you think they would be able to hire people who are really good at what they did or cared about the customers, but no, they're looking to make it cheaper for them Shame on you verve.

Matcha is not good.... And service was also not a very pleasant experience. The guy barista wearing green hat made me the matcha. Had a little attitude with me since I asked for light ice. Would not recommend...

Giving a two cause I did go here for years before other coffee opened around. Coffee is acidic and bitter. Staff act like they're influencers that are too good for you. They rarely look you in the eyes when you are giving your order. Might wanna check the attitude now that you have competition!

This was the best coffee I found in L.A. recently and I tried A LOT. Roasting, extraction, and sourcing are all 10/10 here. I could say more but there's really no point, forget the formerly great brand like Blue Bottle and Intelligentsia who have since sold out and watered down their product and try this place asap.

Verve is a really nice spot! I stopped by over the weekend and got a cup of their seasonal Wilder blend. It was flavorful, but pretty lukewarm. I felt bad because it was busy but the barista was kind enough to offer me a fresh cup. She poured it from the dispenser and agreed with me that the entire batch was no longer hot and opened up a new pot. Once I got my hot coffee, I really enjoyed it. This is ignoring the fact that it was latte prices for drip coffee ($4.50)... bit steep if you ask me. The vibes in the coffee shop were pretty great, but I've seen this place on many lists for "best coffee shops to work in" which meant that there were so many laptops out and several people hovering for a place to sit. Guess we should keep gatekeeping it? It's a bummer when you just want to sit and enjoy your coffee but no one's moving for 15+ minutes, which is how long I waited.

Great spot, easy parking, nice atmosphere, good coffee. They don't offer power outlets, appears they dont want the coffee shop to turn into a wework. All in all, I do like going here from time time - throw on airpods & get a little work done with a good coffee. If your used to starbucks, this place is a must. If you appreciate mom & pop shops, may not be your speed. I will add the service is always great, kind, friendly.. adds a lot of flavor to the experience.

I really do like Verve. I had an iced latte with whole milk, my staple at any coffee shop. The taste just really resonates with me and the coffee flavor is quite pronounced compared to other lattes I've had of similar sizes. Added bonus: there is a small parking lot which I was able to snag a spot!

Every single time I've come here I've gotten attitude from the baristas. They're just plain rude even though I tip 20% for them to literally pour coffee into a cup. Today was the worst. Even though the hours of operation are clearly listed here as being open until 6 pm, I walked in at 4:45 (mind you the door wasn't locked and there were other customers inside) and was rudely told by the girl working there that they're closed. My husband and I live in the neighborhood and will not be returning.

Verve is a great coffee shop to study and get work done at. They have a parking lot outside, but it can be difficult to get a spot. We made a couple laps around the neighborhood before we were able to park. The interior feels modern and clean, and I love the open concept of the cafe - you can see them making your drinks in the middle of the cafe. They have so many drink options (coffee, tea, matcha) that you can customize. They do charge extra for milk substitution and adding a flavor. I tried one of their seasonal drinks, the pumpkin spice latte which was super delicous and had a strong coffee flavor. If you are staying for a while, definitely bring a jacket because it gets cold.

Really bad coffee for how much they charge, and pretty arrogant staff (except for a guy of a Japanese descent) who'd never go above and beyond to get you coffee but would rather make you wait at a bar until they are done talking and laughing and doing their staff. There's also one bald guy who acts like he doesn't care and pretends he doesn't notice you waiting at a register to make an order. Overall, really bad experience - especially after frequenting their only SF shop on Market.

I didn't want to post this review because i wanted to gatekeep but it's just too good not to share! This is definitely one of my favorite spots to grab coffee at, I have been here a couple times and they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and its a really nice environment to meet a friend at or just get some work done. They do have a parking lot but it is pretty small, but considering there's rarely parking in LA, this is definitely a good option. There is also street metered parking as well if you can't find a spot. I ordered an iced matcha with pistachio milk, I never tried pistachio milk and this was my first time trying it. I wasn't the biggest fan but I bet it would be good if you liked pistachio lol I have not tried their lattes yet but according to other reviews, I will be trying it next time. The only con to this place is that they do not have any outlets to charge phones/laptops so I recommend you charge your electronics before leaving the house. Other than that, this is hands down the best verve location I have been to!

Guy recommended pistachio milk with my matcha and it did not disappoint!!! So very tasty!!! He also suggested a cross aunt since the kitchen was closed. Sooooooooo good!!!

Just another hole in the wall, cute coffee shop I came across in the neighborhood. Not too loud, and and spacious. They have a great selection of coffee and some pastries. Ideal for a first date and people watching! I'd come back again for sure.

Always excellent coffee (if you have 5 minutes it's worth doing a pour over), delicious pastries and plenty of seating! There's a small parking lot and paid street parking. If you're in the area it's worth the stop!

Not so great . Kind of like an incognito Starbucks . Tried to get guidance on what would match the brew I enjoy . Not going to be at this place . It's all kind of the same . Nothing special here . Glad I at least I tried it . Staff not very helpful too busy being cool. Roasters are a dime a dozen at this point . Factor in on line - and the game really changes. I guess this is a good place to hang out . But seriously the coffee was blah .

It's been years since my last review so it's time for an update. Hopefully this review would help in relieving confusion and stress in your next visit as my main focus is how they are operating during the pandemic. They are complying with safety protocol to protect the customers and staff. Hand sanitizer is available at the counter and upon exiting. Look out for the huge sign as there is a system that they implemented. To cut to the point, like many other businesses, cash is not accepted so be prepared. They are big on being contactless so order online on their site (it's based off of Square technology) or pay by card. It is updated in real time so you know what is available and what isn't. I ordered while having lunch next door and picked up my drink at the counter. The Missile is coffee concentrate with cream and their syrup made in house. It was delicious and refreshing, balanced as you can taste all the components. What I also love is their selection of gluten free, paleo and keto pastries. It's tough to find a treat like that unless you go to a specialty store. I am sure to want to try it out in my next visit. Despite of all the barriers, masks, acrylic safety partitions, the staff was as friendly as they can be with the short interaction. Great coffee and food served. Convenient preorder via their site. Friendly staff Safety protocol on point. Gluten free, keto and paleo pastries are served. Downsides: Parking can be tough and parking officers are always present

#64 in my Coffeeshop Chronicles. I was in the area so I stopped by Verve. I've been meaning to check out the Arts District location but haven't made it out yet. Anyways, this location is your typical LA coffeeshop with a spacious open interior. They don't seem to have some of the flavored latte/ on tap options that the other location offers so I went with a basic iced vanilla latte. The coffee was nice and smooth so no complaints. But would I go out of my way to come back? No.

I like this place, many seating inside and outside. Matcha latte is always good too. But idk the backyard smells horribly bad.... Inside is totally fine, smells amazing but the backyard.... Smells like a garbage:(

WiFi here is terrible. Literally takes forever to load one page. Would only recommend coming to this location for coffee only.

Super cute coffee shop next to The Grove. Lots of space to work. Pleasing to the eye. Has a small parking lot. Service was nice. Creative, innovative drinks along with classic crowd pleasers. Ordered the espresso + tonic and missile - both of which gave us a nice caffeine rush while tickling our taste buds.
