For a Sommelier is for sure a place that you must visit if you are around. I have been seen this place many times in films, movies and documentaries that I was really anxious at least to pass by. Great selection of wines and of course lot of history!

Verve Wine is a fantastic wine shop! We were thrilled to find our favorite Bianco Pomice here—a rare gem we don’t come across often. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. Definitely planning to come back and explore more of their selection!

Best wine store in NY and they have an online store as well! Not only do they have a wide and awesome selection, the staff is super helpful and friendly. They also have somms who help you with the wines and can give you great suggestions. If you don't want to go into the store, you can purchase from their online store. And if you need wine suggestions, there's an email on the website that you can send a message over and get some helpful tips. I also love the ambiance of the store. It's spacious, lots of wood, and a back area with a kitchen and long table where they host their tastings.

Great selection and recommendations! They also do same day delivery for Manhattan if you order through their website. Also free shipping for $150+ orders and they also have loyalty program online.

Excellent selection and very friendly and knowledgeable staff!!! Really enjoyed purchasing wine here as you can mention roughly what you like or are looking down without too much jargon and they will give you good advice. Highly recommend!!!

Attended a blind wine tasting, judgement of Paris style, and it was a lot of fun! My husband’s a total wine nerd and had a blast trying to figure out which wines were CA vs FR. Nick was really knowledgeable and personable and took the time to chat and coach (without giving anything away) while we tasted which made the experience great for both of us. Looking forward to future events!

I recently ordered wines for Christmas Eve dinner with my family. They provided excellent pairing suggestions for my entire menu. These were exceptional wines from small producers. I would highly recommend this site for both experienced wine drinkers as well as new ones!

We came here based on the movie SOM 1 & SOM 3. They have a fantastic selection of wine. Higher priced than we can get elsewhere yet we were looking for a wine experience and conversation with someone very knowledgeable about their wines. We bought a case of some lovely wines from Piedmont, Bordeaux and South of France. Modern, clean design, elegant by way of wine store. They did not have any tastings available. The staff was busy yet friendly to help when we asked a question.

Came here for a Yelp event, and was super happy with how nice the folks who were running the place were*. We had mezcal, ate Dos Toros, and got to hang with two Manhattan CM's at once**, not something you get to do on a normal weekday. The front of house has pretty much every kind of wine you could ask for, and I did notice a bargain section as well, which is nice for this part of town. _____ *especially as we drank more and more mezcal...and got more and more annoying. **Thanks so much for everything my man, it's truly been a blast these past few years.

I love this spot! We frequently work with them for virtual wine tastings for work and both the wines and the sommeliers are amazing! I also just ordered 5 bottles from them last week and if you're in NYC and looking for the best wine delivery in town this is it!

I came here for an event, but was amazed at the way this winery was set up. They have so many different types of wine followed by amazing whiskeys and sakes. This wine store has only been opened for 2 years. They have all wines categorized, with prices written on the bottles. I was amazed at their whiskey choices, being that a lot of them are rare finds (they have four roses available which you don't see much in liquor stores), and different types of sakes priced as low as $8! The event located in this wine shop was for Noble cayote Mezcal. I've never had mezcal before and I was surprised to find myself liking it since Mezcal is in the tequila family and I'm not much of a fan. But Mezcal is definitely different and smoother than tequila. They let us taste all the Mezcal and one of the partners gave us information on how their Mezcal is made and where we can locate it. Great event! Thank you Verve wine for hosting this event and also offering so many different types of wines to choose from! Ps. This place is pet friendly, definitely get 5 stars for this!

I'm going to break the rules and post my review of the Elite event here since it was Ruggy's last day and he (understandably) didn't get around to creating a separate listing. Verve Wine is super cool. The setup is amazing, with tons of liquors and (of course) wines at all price levels. Some of the stuff on the wall goes up to $1500! Not to fear - they have a table with wines under $20. Their whiskey selection is also pretty, pretty good. The stuff in the glass cabinet is drool-worthy. They also have a space in the back where they can host events (complete with a full kitchen!). That's where we were with catering form Dos Toros and some delicious mezcals from Noble Coyote. Super big thanks to Verve Wine for hosting us, Dos Toros for feeding us, Noble Coyote for boozing us up, and of course to Ruggy for all his years of service. And to Katey for being our new CM!

What a fantastic spot!! I came here for the Yelp Elite Cinco event, and to say I was excited is an understatement. While this is a wine store/bar, they also carry many other spirits including mezcal, which was the main part of this event. We got to taste many of the mezcals that Nobel Coyote had to offer which was a treat. While pricey, the mezcal was phenomenal AND you can feel good about drinking it, they are a sustainability focused and driven company. Along with the tastings, we got to try the mezcal in cocktails, in the form of a margarita and monitor, both of which were delicious. In addition to the alcohol, we also got Dos Toros! I didn't know it, but Dos Toros is also an incredible company, very dedicated to giving back to communities and hiring formerly incarcerated persons. I was impressed by how great these companies were and also by the food. I've been in NYC for 5months now and still had never tried dos toros even though there's one 10ft from my apartment. I am a Dallas native so I have high standards, but I absolutely loved the food! Definitely had better but it's one of the best of the Mexican cuisines I've tried up here in the northeast. I was a huge fan of the event and of Verve! They have endless options and have really curated their selection to the best of the best. The staff is extremely knowledgeable as well, which is always helpful for me!

I stopped by for a yelp elite cinco de mayo event and had a great time! The store has tons of wine on display, and of course a great selection of mezcal. They had some Noble Coyote available for tastings. I enjoyed the Tobala flavor the best. It had that smokey texture I've come to enjoy out of Mezcal! The event also featured Dos Toros (which happens to be like RIGHT around the corner from me in the village) and their mexican choices were on point: chicken, steak, lots of guac and a good mix of mildly spicy add-ons. Thanks for the Verve staff for throwing this, and special thanks to Ruggy for hosting his final Elite Event. It has been real for some years going to events you've thrown! Looking forward to Katie filling your giant shoes.

I ordered a bottle of wine for my girlfriend (a few months in advance because I wanted to be sure that I actually had it in time.) Ordered in June (during peak summer temps, a $23 bottle of wine). I was originally charged $20 just for shipping, but because it was summer, we agreed that he would wait until temps cooled down some. So the dude, (Mack Barnes), told me that they would be glad to hold it until temps cooled. He never mentioned anything about an additional shipping cost, but ultimately charged me an additional $7 ON TOP of all of that just so that I could have it in 2 days. I paid a total of $50 for a $23 bottle of wine only to make sure that I had it in time for this birthday gift. I am overly pissed off about the whole situation and feel I need to bring this to your attention, Dustin - that I am one pissed off customer who will never purchase from you again. Thank Mack for that.

A perfect experience. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in and politely asked if I could be helped. I mentioned what my palet, budget, and the occasion required and she immediately took me and showed, with enthusiasm, two amazing wines. Our 2020 election celebrations were even better because of these wines. Can't wait to go back and explore some more.

Went in there and left without buying anything because it was uncomfortably warm and stifling in the store - I'd say 75 degrees, well above the temperature at which wine begins to go bad. Not a great sign

Still the most overpriced wine store in the United States...still amazed they have found enough rich rubes who love to be gouged for wines available everywhere at a fraction of the cost. Still amazed at the bad attitude of the staff here. Oh well. You were warned...

Here we go...wine post time...Verve Wine in TriBeCa is a must! This shop is run by Master Sommelier Dustin Wilson. His stuff is very, very reasonably priced with a fantastic French and Italian wines selection. He is clearly emphasizing value and it is appreciated. And of course, I found a bottle of Bugey Cerdon under his "Somm Picks" area. you can never go wrong with Pink bubbles! NYC is the largest importer of Old World Wines in the U.S. and it is obvious in the stores & restaurants. The California wine sections are way smaller and the selection less impressive than the massive Old World countries sections in these shops and restaurants. Having passed the Level 1 Sommelier exam last week at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, I basically learned that I don't know shit about wine. But I'm going to try like hell to learn everything I can, and a shop like Verve is a great start. Thanks for taking me here King__Bernard!!!

I rarely see any customers in the store when I pass by. Prices are higher than the other neighborhood stores in the area. This was a 1 time visit for me.

Visited Verve to buy some unique bottles... Caught major attitude from one of the B/C team players, a very obnoxious and arrogant guy. Was quite surprised based on the owners positive reputation in the industry. Great wine and the other employees have good knowledge, but really bad service experience from a bad actor. Won't ever go back, too many other options in Manhattan.

Great service. All price ranges. Went in with a rough idea of what I wanted, the guy helped me figure out the rest, at my price point. There is a lot of wine in there.

Absolutely beautiful shop (one of the best in the city) with superb selection and the attentive staff hit the nail on the head for recommending my selection. Loved the wine and I will be back for more!

We had great experiences choosing wine at 11 Madison Park, so our expectations were high. But here, what a disappointment! Given the absence of signage, on prompting one person did give us a 20 second overview of the store's organization, but for the most part both sales people seemed more interested in huddling over their laptops. When I asked about one particular bottle of wine, the sales person glanced up and curtly replied "What do you want to know about it?". When I tried to coax an explanation, he said simply "It's reductive" and returned to his laptop. There are no written descriptions, but this might be understood given that the business is new. The lack of customer service and rudeness is beyond what I have experienced in a wine shop. Belatedly we looked on the website and saw that this seems to be mostly a place for online orders or for those who are guided by some sort of in-house algorithm. It felt as if we were tourists stumbling into an art gallery in error with no prospects for a sale. If you have expertise and know what you want, then this place might be fine for you. However, be forewarned that the staff do not suffer fools.
