I had my one of my best meals in Madrid here. It's upscale Spanish-ish restaurant. It's classy, but not stuffy. Service was really good, and they didn't make me feel bad for rolling in at lunchtime in jeans and hiking boots with no reservation.
I had the classic tapas tasting menu. Surprisingly, it was way more vegetable heavy than every other meal I had. All the courses were all really good and really different from one another. They were also light enough that I felt full by the end, but not too full. I felt like the kimchi chicken wings didn't fit with the rest of the meal, which was decidedly European, and they certainly didn't belong on the classic tapas menu, but they were good.
I think they forgot to bring me one of the courses, but since I'd already had five or six courses, I didn't want to sound like a greedy American pig by complaining. Though now I kind of wish I had.
I would have given it five stars if not for the measly wine pour, the possible lack of one of my tapas, and the chicken wings being a weird insertion into a European meal. But otherwise, it was excellent, and I'd definitely go back and try some more dishes.
