"West Kendall is known for the Kendall Ice Arena, excellent Latin American food, and now (thanks to Vice City) some of the county’s best pizza. During peak hours, there’s usually a line out the door because these Detroit-style pies are magnificent. The crust tastes like a delicious memory foam pillow—light, thick, buttery, and springy. Pizza options include the pepperoni and hot honey, the veggie supreme, the brie and fig, and vegan options featuring the BE Hive cheeses and meats. Customers can also opt for pastas and small plates such as prosciutto croquettes or fried provolone. On the weekends from noon to 4 p.m., hot sandwiches such as the mortazza and the fan-favorite chicken parm. "Vice City Pizza started as a pandemic pop-up and has now planted roots in a cozy 1,200-square-foot spot way out in West Kendall. Specializing in Detroit-style pies, the fluffy, sauce-drenched interior of these pizzas is fenced in by a cracker-like crust. Despite looking hefty, each bite is surprisingly light — think ballerina’s leap, not square brick. Upgrade the usual hot honey pepperoni and go for the Ron Swanson, which is also loaded with thick slabs of bacon, banana pepper, and fennel sausage. Feeling adventurous? "Chicken Parm Sando Yes, you should be having Detroit-style pizza at Vice City, but there's another great reason to visit this pizza place in West Kendall: the chicken parm sando. Every hoagie here is, in fact, wonderful. But this is our favorite, and it's only available for lunch. This eight inch sub is filled with melted stracciatella and parmesan that clings to the crispy breaded chicken like Spiderman’s webbing.
