The Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week, November 2023 | Eater NY

"I’d never been to Vic’s until recently, and the 1947 place felt like a Wisconsin supper club with cushy booths, carpeting, and a back bar pouring up-to-the-rim wine while you wait; the pizza ($14 to $16) is made with a lace of cornmeal and dressed with a blanket of cheese and generous toppings — different from my childhood pie but enjoyable, especially with a dirty gin martini." - Eater Staff

Food was amazing. Place had a 1950 vibe, but that’s kind of what makes it unique. It’s been around a long time and they manage to keep that same vibe from when they opened. Portions are really big. Great value. Pizza was really good. Chicken parm was amazing . Food was reasonably priced. Service was pretty good.

I remember dining here with my friend in summer 23’ and the pizza was so good that I kept telling my family about it. However, when we finally came back recently, I was slightly disappointed. The pizza was just mediocre but definitely good enough for a meal after having fun at the beach. They are popular in the area so very busy even it’s just a Thursday afternoon. The seatings are tight. I still want to come back to give it another shot though.

Been wanting to go here for a long time, finally made it and very worth it! I think i found possibly the best chicken marsala I've ever had. The pizza was excellent, very similar to Federici's in freehold but much much better crust. The staff was extremely friendly and everyone was smiling. Inside is that old school italian restaurant feel. Don't change a thing, it's perfect the way it is. Also, 3 big areas of the restaurant which included a really nice outdoor section and they were all filled with people who we really enjoying themselves.

Amazing pizza. Thin crust. Flavorful. Hits the spot. We also got the cannoli cake which was very pleasant. Not too sweet, just right. Highly recommend. Fast and friendly service

Cozy vintage atmosphere. All of the food is stellar, you really can’t go wrong here. Some of the best thin crust pizza in Jersey. Gets crazy busy around dinner time!

Just had another great meal at Vic’s in Bradley Beach. I had the penne vodka, pizza, garlic bread and meatballs and everything was excellent as always. The food is consistently good and you can see why this place has been around forever. The pizza is classic thin crust done right and the penne vodka was creamy and flavorful. The meatballs tasted homemade and the garlic bread was perfect for sharing. The servers were friendly and attentive and the whole place still has that timeless old school vibe. Vic’s is one of those spots that never disappoints and always delivers a great meal.

We've been on a pizza kick lately, where we'll drive a few hours to try new places (We split our time between South Jersey and Bucks County PA). We've been to Frederici's in Freehold, Pete & Eldas, Star Tavern in Orange NJ, The Cabin (don't know where that was), Riccardo's Pizza in Browns Mills NJ that I can remember off the top of our head. On our last visit to Pete & Eldas, a bunch of folks told us that we had to try Vic's in Bradley Beach as it's so close to where we were. . So today we did. We parked in the lot, walked in and boy oh boy, did this joint remind me of Mom Mom Gallo's Basement. All it needed was an Elvis lamp and with that dark wood decor, you'd have thought we were all hanging out....I think if she was still with us, she'd have enjoyed the food here. . We ordered Garlic Bread, a side of Meatballs and a side of Sausage (2pcs each order), a Large Plain Pie and a 10" size (smallest they had) of the "Special" which was sausage and green peppers. I added onions for .80 topping, so it was more like a sausage, pepper and onion sandwich. . Lets start with how PHENOMENAL we thought the Garlic Bread was. So good. It was cut in "medallions" and we loved it so much. We thought it'd be nice to have a cup of gravy (what Betty Gallo would've called it....to us it's sauce) to dip it in. However the sausage and meatballs came out with a healthy amount of sauce to dip! . The meatballs were fantastic. Hand made, delicious tasting....So good. The sausage was just as good. You could taste the fennel (my favorite) and it was juicy.....I liked the sausage better, she loved the meatballs. Both were great. . This pizza is SUPER THIN. I think it was as thin, of not thinner than Riccardo's Thinnie Minnie. We think the other places we've mentioned....while they are are in the "Super Thin" categories, we thought this was thinner. . It came out and the plain pie was a little greasy. Like, ok, maybe more than a little....I don't mind, the girlfriend kinda did. I just assumed they used a high quality, whole milk mozzarella cheese, but who knows. If I notice it (but don't care), it's a greasy pie. Wasn't very crispy, She wasn't a fan, I was indifferent. EVERYTHING else made up for it. . The "Special" was great. The peppers were sliced super thin as were the onions....The sausage was still awesome. I liked it....I liked both pies. . Would we drive the hour-ish ride for this PIZZA again? No....HOWEVER, we will absolutely be back to try the italian specialties (she's a Chicken Parm nut and is already looking forward to the meatballs and Garlic Bread again). Me? I'll get the pizza, I didn't hate it. But it's not on my top of spots we've tried already.....but it was really a great lunch, we're so happy we tried it! . Gave them overall a 5 Star Rating, If we didn't get pizza, food would be 5 stars, but we had to go 4 stars on the pizza (greasy, no crisp....but still edible and enjoyable). Service... the girlfriend was adamant on giving a 3 star rating, and I kind of agree. Waitress (older lady....so I get it), took our drink order, came back took our food order, came back with an empty box and the bill. (box was too small for the pizza, but we didn't want to bother her. to get a bigger one. Once she saw us struggling to fit the left over pizza in the box (half the large pie, 3/4th of the "Special" pie), she yelled from the other side of the restaurant "DO YOU WANT A BIGGER BOX?" By that time, we already desecrated the box and didn't want to waste another one. The girlfriend gives her that rating because she never asked if everything was ok, never asked if we'd like another soda refill or anything...So yeah, that was kinda Waitress 101, check in at least ONCE to the table....but she wasn't like nasty, just I dunno....

Google
Saw OneBite pizza reviews on this place & decided to make the drive out to check em out. It's bar pie so different from traditional pizzeria pie but delicious nonetheless. The sauce was a strong point. I can see why it's so popular. Come give them a shot, you'll be glad you did.

Yelp
My first time inside. Pizza good. Bartenders nice but not so knowledgeable about basic drinks. Interior...I think you had to go here for decades to still appreciate. A classic and I enjoyed, even if I personally did not grow up going here.

Yelp
BRADLEY BEACH: A true staple in the heart of town, Vic's Italian Restaurant is a beloved Italian restaurant and bar serving up everything from classic pasta dishes and crave-worthy pizza to fresh salads and hearty meat and seafood plates. The linguine with tomato sauce and the meatball-topped pizza were both absolutely delicious, especially when paired with a glass of wine or a handcrafted cocktail. They have a full bar and can make just about anything! We sat on their charming, dog-friendly patio, which features a few umbrella-covered tables nestled around an ornate water fountain, such a peaceful spot to dine. Just have someone in your party check in at the host stand inside, then walk around to the Main Street gate to access the patio. Shoutout to our server Ella for being so sweet and attentive!

Yelp
- Service: Fast and friendly staff. - Ambiance: They could get packed during the summer time even if it's on a random week day. However, they're a big restaurant with a lot of indoor and outdoor seatings. Clean and nice atmosphere. Moderate noise so you can still talk and listen to each other. - Food: I dined here for the first with a friend back in summer 23' and I remember their plain pizza and their chopped salad are to die for with a huge portion! However, I came back with my family recently for summer 25' and it's quite disappointing. Complimentary bread is nothing special. Mussel sauce pasta is too watery and pretty bland. We add pepper & onion to our pizza. It came out freshly hot like always and definitely hit the spot if you're hungry or craving for some pizzas. Their dough leans more to a thin and crusty type of dough, which I like. It just didn't impress me as much as the first time I had it so just 4 stars for now. Will comeback if we ever go down the beach though.

Yelp
This is the place for you if you love pizza and Italian foods. The service is very good. The ambiance is like Little Italy.
google avatar

Kat C.

Yelp
Ok. So - per ALL the locals - this is the casual spot to go to. It's been around forever and the staff is super engaging and friendly. I opted for the house wine which was just fine for a late summer night after the beach. The portions are HUGE. Here's the breakdown- the house salad is delicious. We had garlic bread with cheese which was addictive. My soup was delicious and super filling. Sadly then entrees were just below average - their "signature" lasagna was subpar, the pasta pomodoro was blah, and my chicken parmigiano was ok. The bill was super cheap so if you're looking for a quick, no frills place. This is it.

Yelp
Delicious food, solid service and old school family vibe. Cocktails available as well. Solid!!!!

Yelp
I've revisited Vic's after that bad experience of over salting. I've been there at least a half dozen times. It remains a solid, vg bar pie.
google avatar

Yelp
Vic's has to be one of my favorite restaurants I've EVER been to! No exaggeration, the food here is amazing and I love coming here. Dave Portnoy's review of the pizza just confirms everything we locals already knew, they make incredible food. Pizza cheese and sauce is so flavorful. Crust is crispy and no need to ask for well done, in my opinion. This time we had half plain and half onion. Also, the fried ravioli appetizer is delicious! The ravioli are homemade and bite sized. Service was fast and food fresh. Just an overall fantastic experience. Next time, I'm going to try the dessert options! See ya soon, Vic's!
google avatar

Yelp
Have eaten here many times. Love the neighborhood vibe. The food has been solid but not super memorable or outstanding. We've brought friends from out of town and it's convenient, but again, not amazing. They weren't wowed by the food. We like to order the meatballs and add to our own pasta when in a hurry or get a pizza to go. Wish they had garlic knots on their menu.

Yelp
Having not been here since the 90s, and being in the area, I figured it would be a great place for dinner. I am happy that they haven't sold it/sold out and have kept the beautiful locked in time interior. All wood, clean, well kept and made me happy to eat there. Our waitress was a long time employee and was great to have. She was quick, helpful, always kept our drinks topped off and a great face for the restaurant. Pizza... Many people love the pizza, which is too greasy for me, however the veal parmigiana was delicious and tasted like it was home made. It has been a couple months since I was there, so I forgot what everyone else had, but I do remember that the price was decent and everyone enjoyed what they had.
google avatar

Ronald K.

Yelp
Old school thin crust pizza with lots of bubbles! Love me some bubbles on my pie! Crust-delicious, cheese-delicious, sauce-meh, but ok. Place is definitely a step into the past (as all good Jersey joints are). The one negative is the service, the staff here couldn't give a damn if you died at the table waiting for a drink refill or check

Albert C.

Yelp
Consistent great food and pizza old fashioned atmosphere great pasta dishes and appetizers

Eric B.

Yelp
Went there for lunch and ordered pizza. After 20 minutes, the pizza came out and was cold. It tasted like it was made in way in advance and they just put my requested toppings on a cold pie that was sitting out. The pizza actually tasted like DiGiorno's and the sauce tasted like it came out of a jar of Ragu. It was really the worst pizza I ever ate at a restaurant.
google avatar

Patti C.

Yelp
This is a mom and pop throw back Italian restaurant with old fashioned decor. Old Italian favorite tunes play on stereo and old wooden chairs and booths make it like a scene from an Italian film . The staff is super friendly and helpful and bathrooms clean. Their pizza is thin crusted and crust is crispy on edges and soft in middle . Rich sauce and cheese adorn the pie and we put fresh sausage on it. Great flavor ! Prices are good for lunches and portion sizes on menu looked large from neighboring plates. Go early as it can be crowded .

Kristin T.

Yelp
Had my first taste of delicious New Jersey style thin pizza! Will be back when I'm in town!

Yelp
Very good bar pie at Vic's Italian Restaurant. Very fairly priced menu as well. The pizza was crisp and thin and delicious.

Yelp
Great pizza!! Thin crispy just how you want it. Friendly comfortable service casual environment. Old school place very cool. Don't walk, RUN to Vic's :)

Yelp
First time at Vic's with my in-laws, who have been coming here for almost 70 years. First time that my father in law has come here in 45 years and didn't have to wait to be seated on a Friday night, which we were excited about. We were sat at a table with a party of 8 and there were only two small 2x4 tables pushed together. 3 of us in the party are over 6ft tall and they would not accommodate us when we asked if they could please push another table together for us. The host was not so thrilled at our request and when the manager came out he didn't even let us speak and immediately came up and said rudely that he regularly sits 8 people at these tables; even after we explained that there's going to be no room left once the food is here. there would be barely any room for any of us to eat as we are already bumping elbows before the food has arrived. The manager, who we assume is actually the owner, was very apathetic and truly seemed to only be concerned about getting people in and out and just flipping the tables as fast as possible. My wife explained that the last time they came here they were also very rude, but ended up helping us and made sure we had more room. Compared to the many, many times my in laws have come here, they are extremely disappointed and disheartened at the customer service they have experienced over the years. Sad that our family tradition of coming here to celebrate birthdays ends with this visit. The extra tables the owner refused to accommodate us with stayed empty the entire time we dined, along with most of the dining room being about 50% full the entire time. He had no problem saving a table that accommodates up to "8 people" for his 2 adult family members, 2 small children and 1 newborn that dined after we had already been seated.
google avatar

Leah Y.

Yelp
Our family had been coming here for years. It has been a tradition to come back every time we visit New Jersey. Today when we came back, it was absolutely packed! But for how busy it was, the staff was working quickly to get people to their seats and serve them. We were told we would have to wait about 1/2 hour for a table for three people, but ended up waiting about 10-15 minutes. The feel of the restaurant is very home style Italian. Very family friendly and has a great atmosphere. The staff, while super busy, were still super friendly and took our order and brought out our food very quickly. We got a pizza, veal parm, eggplant parm, and a pasta fagioli soup, plus a side of meatballs. As an Italian family, we can be very picky about Italian restaurants. But every time we come here we end up loving the food. The veal was very tasty, and the eggplant parm was delicious. In addition the meatballs had a similar taste to a classic family meatball recipe that we have had for generations. The soup was pretty good as well, with the veggies cooked well and a good amount of soup components mixed in the broth. Of course the thin crust pizza was the star of the show. Super crunchy and the toppings were amazing. This is a great option for family dinner, especially if you want something simple and hearty.
google avatar

D'London V.

Yelp
The good about this is that the sausages real overall taste of it is real and then crispy everything taste pretty good overall authenticity of it taste nice. The bad soup was so thick. There was just no broth mushed together just did not look appealing came with the bread was so cold and hard , no spread at all. The Beers taste crispy. Nice on this hot day. The waitress could be a little bit nicer.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Went to Vic's for the first time to try their pizza. The crust was good but could be crispier. Cheese was tasty but their sauce was not as tasty and a bit off. Their sausage was good but I feel the pepperoni pizza didn't have a lot of pepperoni and a bit skimpy based on other pizzas I tried elsewhere. They told me their cheese ravioli was homemade but it tasted like it was frozen and not fresh. The salad is large enough for 4-6 people to share. My mother ordered a hamburger which was good. She asked if they could put an egg on it even though it's on the menu separately they said they couldn't do it: they are not flexible. Prices I thought were reasonable. They have plenty of room for seating even though they don't take reservations. They do take credit cards. We drove 1:45 to eat there. But probably not enough to my standards to go out of my way again to eat there: the place has been there for over 70' years and is iconic. Place was busy.
google avatar

Anna R.

Yelp
Ordered pizza at the recommendation of many. It was pretty good! Not the best I've ever had as some people said but certainly good! Very thin floppy crust. Have to eat many pieces to get properly full.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not a local - I live in NYC - but I have family who grew up on the Jersey Shore and still live in the area to this day. On multiple occasions they have brought me to Vic's, and it's been fantastic every time - there's a reason there is always a wait! Every visit we get the chopped antipasto salad and a large pie - typically pepperoni + another topping (I think we added onions on my last visit). It's the perfect meal - which I also always enjoy with an orange soda. There's just something about pizza and orange soda together - it's a must! The restaurant itself has pretty much looked the same over the years, and the staff has always been friendly and efficient. The prices are also very fair, and the servings are good sizes. Just writing this review is making me hungry. I could eat the chopped antipasto salad every day. I have yet to find a comparable option in NYC so if anyone knows of one, please tell me. Until next time, I'll be dreaming of Vic's.
google avatar

Peter G.

Yelp
This restaurant it's been around for 90 years. It opened as a tap room in 1933. In 1947 the original family expanded it to a restaurant. So it's 75 years as a restaurant. When you walk inside it feels like you have stepped back in time. Wood paneling inside and nice comfortable booths. The chandeliers they have remind me of the 1950s. I've been coming here for many years. The pizza is absolutely wonderful. Fresh flavorful sauce good crust. The meatballs are the very best. The sausage is also good. I have never tried the pepperoni but the waitress said it's very good. The hut heroes like meatball Parmesan/eggplant Parmesan and chicken Parmesan are very good. I tried a cup of New England clam chowder as the waitress said it's homemade. It certainly was very very good and did not contain any monosodium gluconate I've tried the veal Parmesan entrée. It's very very good tender and flavorful. The neon that wraps around the entire restaurant. The neon sign is very impressive. You definitely should try the pizza it's the best item I believe. But you can't go wrong with hut heroes salad soup chicken Parmesan veal Parmesan. It's a wonderful iconic place definitely worth a few visits if you're visiting for

Adri A.

Yelp
Vic's. Does. Not. Disappoint. Excellent pizza every single time. Their seasoned servers know exactly what they're doing. And the 70s decor just adds to the whole experience. Go get some.
google avatar

Robert V.

Yelp
1. Our server, awesome polite beyond words, a schoolteacher working a few nights a week during the summer. 2. So far down the shore was my favorite hamburger yes repeat hamburger on a fresh Kaiser roll. I could tell that that chop meat was not frozen and it had mozzarella cheese on it. I wanted it medium rare and it came out medium rare. 3. The soup my wife ordered was excellent. 4. And I saw a salad go to another table and ordered it and the salad was awesome. I split it with my wife. 5. bread was brought to the table with butter and we enjoyed it while we were waiting for the meal and they offered us another loaf of hot bread which we declined classy place. They don't charge you for you using a credit card that put a smile on my face.:-))
google avatar

Damian D.

Yelp
The 50's are calling, are you home? Honest to God, you must try this walk backwards in time. Fun spot, food decent, but a NJ shore experience not to miss.

George C.

Yelp
First of all the prices of your meals are way to overpriced. A meatball and pasta meal contains only two small meatballs and the plate size is not that big at all. That meal is $19.00. It has a ok amount of pasta worth 1.00, tomato sauce worth 1.00 and two small meatballs. How the hell do you justify $19.00? Even at 3 times the cost does not equal $19.00. Also your other meals prices are just way too expensive. It is a shame since I been coming there for years. Now it is another place that I will not return to.

Pamela K.

Yelp
We stopped for a pizza at this iconic place. Very disappointed, pizza was mediocre, not enough sauce and took a while. Meanwhile bartender was scarfing down a pizza in front of us at the bar while we waited 30mins for pie.
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
Lunched here on Sunday and found service to be slow, but much improved from past years. I'd up my review to 3.5 stars if possible My friend said the mussels were good; toss salads were rather large bowls of iceberg lettuce (although getting the salami and provolone is recommended); and the thin crust pizza was cooked well and is super flavorful which keeps me coming back despite my other mumblings. One of the standouts was the Bradley Brew Project Vic's Tap Room Pilsner which was the perfect light beer for a hot afternoon!
google avatar

Jerry F.

Yelp
It's great and not just the pizza. The marinara sauce is excellent and the service is swift and friendly. The ambiance kind of takes you back to the '70s - very cool experience and solid Italian food.
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
I haven't been here in well over 35 years since and it's how I remember it growing up! In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if our server used to serve us back in day...lol. Seriously, can't go wrong with the pizza at Vic's. Jersey Shore thin crust style will always be close to my heart. I guess my only gripe was getting our beers. Took a while and sometimes that happens. The kick is good!
google avatar

Gary T.

Yelp
If you want to feel like you're an inconvenience and see 3 or 4 hosts sitting on their iPhone when you get to the restaurant, this is the place for you. Doesn't matter how good the food is, the unwelcoming experience trumps it all. Where is the management at this established restaurant? Inexcusable.
google avatar

Iris F.

Yelp
Pizza is delicious, always consistent since I was a child. And that is saying a lot!! It definitely is no frills as far as everything else goes.. There's no ambience and the servers are usually retirees or students. Simple!
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
Smells like my grandma's house used to smell, which is always a good sign. Love their pizza--great thin crust that doesn't bloat you (doesn't bloat me, at least ). And great antipasto salad too!

T. J.

Yelp
Best thin crust pizza. Have to go back to try more. Only thing is wait time and they dont take reservations. Service was very good. Looking forward to returning.
google avatar

Claire M.

Yelp
Super old school pizza spot. Garlicky sauce, been the same since it opened (my father's been going there since the 1950s). Kinda nice but also kinda surly staff. Probably the best pizza in NJ. Great flavor, thin crust, semolina. The absolute spot.
google avatar

Frank T.

Yelp
Sat on the patio on a cool summer afternoon with my wife and mother in law. The waitress was wonderful, very polite and friendly. We had sandwiches and beer. Food came out hot, fries too! I'll return to try dinner.

Robin W.

Yelp
The best Pizza In NJ. Maybe the US as a whole. Nothing compare to their marinara sauce. The chopped antipasto is awesome!

Julie A.

Yelp
Still my favorite pizza since 1986. Sausage and peppers and a chopped antipasto salad
google avatar

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Vic's has been bookmarked for years and I finally got there. I really enjoyed My time there, reminds me of the original denino's on Staten Island Similar ambiance, bar, tables etc Pizza was very good as was the meatball sandwich. The pizza is thin crust, excellent quality cheese, and crust was flavorful. Cooked well done as requested. Service was perfect I am looking forward to visiting again.
google avatar

Bette D.

Yelp
Was in the area and decided to stop in Vic's. This place got a lot of hype from Dave Portnoy and fellow pizza reviewers. The ambience was cozy old-school which I love. Reminded me of growing up in the 60's. Casual and clean, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated promptly; our server was friendly and efficient! We ordered the fried calamari and a large pie. The calamari rings were crunchy and tender and the marinara sauce was thick and delicious. Wish it came with a slice of lemon. The pie was thin crust which we love but it did have a little flop. I didn't find it overly flavorful and added a little salt. Would have liked more cheese near the crust. But still a good thin crust pie! We would like to return to try some of their salads and entrees. The chopped antipasto looked amazing and was quite large. Glad we stopped!

Evan P.

Yelp
Been eating at Vic's for 30 years....the decline has been sadly evident, and tonight on full display. Ordered a veal cutlet- came out cement grey. I like my cutlets brown. Pizza was served at room temp. Place was 25 percent full on a Sunday, so no excuses. Side pasta dry - I guess they are saving on the sauce? So sad bc I hate giving this place a bad review. What happened to Vic's? Come back please.
google avatar

Andrew C.

Yelp
Still my all time favorite pizza place! I have tried many slices from all over the place and none compares to the flavor that you get from Vic's! If you are looking for a clean classic pizza place this is it. Its not trying to be modern which is the best part. I am young, but still appreciate the old vibe it gives. In summer expect to wait if you want to be seated inside. Since I was young, my family always just ordered to go. I would recommend just ordering to go and walking/driving home as the quality is still fabulous. House dressing is solid, initial free bread is always warms and soft, get the large pizza, and try to penne vodka!
google avatar

Gavin M.

Yelp
Not the biggest fan of Vic's. Pizza is good, not great. The thin crust is very good but they don't put enough cheese on it for my taste. The other food isn't usually very good (ex: baked ziti, penne vodka). The pizza definitely carries this rating along with the staff, but I don't see a reason to go here over other thin crust pizza places, such as Pete and Eldas.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Vic's is a throwback to when fraternal lodges and bowling leagues crammed Jersey eateries on a Saturday night. A walk through the door and Y2K, Watergate and The Kardashians never happened as you're at the bar smoothing your buzz cut discussing the finer points of your new Chevy Nomad with the "I like Ike" sticker on the chrome bumper. Should you buy that beachfront bungalow? ... $6,500 seems a bit steep. Fine dining? A curated menu? Don't be a jabroni and let's not get ahead of ourselves. Pizza and goomba classics are on the menu (I say that affectionately as an Italian.) My plate of veal marsala was solid as were the two thin crust pizzas. I really like this place. The beer was cold, the paneling was oak and the tables and chairs reveal all the imperfections from their decades of service. Vic's is the real deal. What pairs better with pizza, Schlitz or Schaefer? Like I said, don't be a jabroni.
google avatar

Kate D.

Yelp
Take a step back in time... My husband and I walked into Vic's around 3pm on a Sunday. The front area was packed with people waiting for a seat. We happened to be out without our kids so we snagged a couple bar seats. It took a while for the bartender to acknowledge us because apparently, they have an antiquited system of having separate tabs for the bar and for food so she was attending to a patron before us. My husband asked me if I wanted to go but I was determined to try the pizza. We waited patiently, ordered some beers and our pizza. Was it worth it? Yes. Absolutely, freakin' yes. Will it likely take you a while to get your beer or food? Yes. But stop being a little b*itch and realize that sometimes, you need to go back in time to get the best. The pizza is amazing. There's lots of local breweries on tap, and the people are real Jersey folk. Definitely worth it.

Yelp
Very popular spot so expect a wait, especially in summer. Ordered a mini pie but they accidentally brought me a small no charge! 6 decent sized slices. Crispy thin crust--a little too crunchy for my liking but not bad. Cheese and sauce ratio was perfect. Large, juicy sausage pieces--generous amount. Quick, accommodating service & fair prices. Very old school menu and no frills outdated interior. Quaint outdoor atmosphere where I opted to sit.

Yelp
very good pizza but damn the female bartender has a horrible attitude Probably related to owner because I cant imagine anyone hiring her in the hospitality business Do better Vics
