5 Restaurants to Try This Weekend in NYC - Eater NY

"For lush grandma pizza slices: This walk-down pizzeria is located right on 145th Street as it descends from Hamilton Heights, which doesn’t make it remarkable, simply easy to access from the A, B, C, and D trains. What makes it unique is that Victorio’s Pizza represents one of the few pizzerias in Manhattan that also serves Mexican food, an arrangement seen often enough in Queens. The al pastor taco is the one to get, a single corn tortilla piled high with pork and pineapple, though the burritos, nachos, and fajitas are also worth checking out. Pizzawise, the fresh mozzarella grandma slice is one of the lusher ones in these latitudes." - Eater Staff

The staff is really nice here but the food isn’t the greatest. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and it was like sweet dough. It was the weirdest pizza I have ever tasted, the pepperonis did not stay on top of the pizza. And then I ordered a six piece teriyaki chicken wings. They were basic wings, that were just thrown into a sauce no real flavor. They don’t even have Parmesan cheese to go on top of the pizza here it’s Romano cheese talk about basic. I think they only give business because there’s not many restaurants over here anymore.

I pretty much only order the lasagna and I make such an amazing lasagna myself but I don't usually order out it has to be good for me to enjoy it and it's definitely an solid 8. The accompanying photo is there lasagna out of the to-go container and plated.

Just moved to the neighborhood last week. It was highly recommended by my landlord so I thought I'd give it a try. My order was scheduled in advance through Seamless. It was ready 15 minutes early. Pickup was quick and easy; I was in and out in less than 30 seconds. As I walked back to my apartment, the tantalizing aroma of BBQ chicken pizza swept over me like a fog on the Hudson. Upon arriving, I slowly opened the warm cardboard box and discovered a truly beautiful work of art. From the crust and sauce to the cheese and meat, I was very pleased with the pie. Believe you me, it's tempting to eat more than just a slice or two! Will I order from Victorio's again? Absolutely. And I'm certainly happy to recommend them to a friend. This is one of the best pizzas that I've had in some time. Looking forward to the next visit.

As other stated; food is low quality. I order chicken hero parmigiana l, chicken had horribly chewy undercooked taste. I has to throw it out. The tiramisu cake was below average, and look at the size they charged 6$ on the picture. Overall, bad experience and cant recommend to anyone.

I had the carne asada burrito. Let me tell you, I’m a big fan of Mexican food, and thought that their Mexican food was not good. Come to a surprise, the burrito was DELICIOUS. Just the right amount of rice, meat, onion, tomato, sour cream... so delicious. I’ll be coming here from now on.

A roach!!!!! First time customer and I have to see this. I’m not coming back, even with construction and everything I’ve never seen an actual roach near food before and I’ve worked at pizzerias and restaurants.

Wanted to buy a pizza here, apparently they were only serving small and large pizza's. Decided to buy a small one because the large one was way overpriced at 20 dollars. The small one was smaller at 13 dollars. I thought it was around 6 slices but turns out they are 4 slices which are literally the size of your hand. I thought it was going to be at the very least, moderately sized NY style pizza's. Had to wait like 15 minutes for it. Defintely wouldn't recommend this place and would probably go to Papa John's two blocks up.

Honestly, this place is a hit or miss. I've been ordering from here for 4 yrs...and I will be honest. I'm not basing this review off of 1 order or 3 orders. This is from many of orders within a 4 year period. Hit or Miss. There are times when the order is exactly what you want and paid for...they seriously charge for any little extra. And there are times the order is not right. Which is frustrating, because you paid for all the extras and you just need and want to eat. Sometimes the food is great and sometimes it's not. 2 weeks ago you ordered an amazing delicious dish...now it's smaller in size, they skimped on the ingredients, and it doesn't taste that good. I paid for extra sauce...not only did I not get extra sauce on the pizza, but it doesn't look like they put any on it. The last time it was spot on delicious. Now, this time I got to go to the grocery store and get some marinara or pizza sauce. They can be really good or Not so good. I guess it depends on who's cooking that day.
