Absolutely amazing bakery!! They took my concept and knocked it out of the park. They are super talented and really made me a beautiful cake. Not only was it stunning, but the cake was also DELICIOUS!! It was so fluffy and moist. I definitely recommend this bakery! Their location is deep in an office building but it’s worth finding! Above and beyond with creativity and service. We asked for a mermaid cake and we truly got a stunning “under the sea” creation. There were many compliments from the guests about how delicious the cake was too! Can’t wait to get other cakes from here.

The folks at Vienna Pastry are the best! I found them a couple years ago after calling around trying to find a bakery who does whipped icing. Surprisingly a lot of bakeries didn’t seem to know what I was talking about and Vienna Pastry knew right away. I’ve been using them for birthday cakes ever since. They’re very flexible with any requests, and will work with you on cake designs. Aside from the decoration, the cakes are delicious. Everyone always loved the taste when we have birthday parties. This year, I requested the cake only a week ahead with a somewhat complicated design (I wanted an icing rendition of my two dogs) and they fulfilled the order beautifully and I was so impressed and happy with the result! The final and best reason I love this bakery is because their prices are SO reasonable. Other bakeries I’ve worked with charge close to $100 for a premade design for a small cake. With Vienna, we’ve gotten medium to large cakes with custom designs for less than that!

If you want delicious European desserts, have no fear Vienna Pastry is here! After having some disappointing pastry experiences in the city, I gave up hope on finding a good one. Spoiler Alert: I did and a family-run one too! They have an incredible variety - from mini pastries to elegantly decorated tarts. Thank you for providing such great treats!

Just amazing! Loved Lisa and her mom. The pastries and the cakes are amazing but more than that this is a family owned business that somehow has survived the pandemic and deserves our support! The cookies and the pastries we got are SO tasty!

A hidden treasure in Santa Monica. Vienna style bakery that’s been open for over 50 years. My mom worked in Santa Monica and would always bring us pastry’s home after work. Highly recommended!

We ordered a 2 tier cake (Chocolate flavor) for our daughter's 1st birthday party. Nearly 50 ppl attended the party and everyone liked the cake. Its a family run business and owners are very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Copying my review here apart from their site. I am very hesitant to try new places for cakes. Especially growing up around tres leches cakes that are moist and not too sweet. I found this place a while ago and had it bookmarked, and decided to order a birthday cake the night before which they were able to accommodate for early next day pickup. This place blew my mind, so moist and so delicious. Not too sweet but everything you need from a cake and more was in this master piece. Such a sweet staff and as it was my first time there they gave me a delicious welcome treat before leaving. When walking in it felt like a family business full of love. They validate parking which is a plus in this area!

The cakes and baked goods looked amazing today, but sadly no gluten-free options. It's located on the ground floor of an office building, back past the elevators.

Vienna Pastry sells pastries that didn't sell at the end of the day for a discounted price through a site called "good to go" i went to pick up my order and i find every single cake pop covered in mold, the woman selling them knows full well the product was way over a day old and still gad the gall to sell something that can potentially cause health problems, I'll put a video and let you be the judge...

Super nice family owned bakery. Ordered a custom cake with bday girl photo sketched on top. Came out great, and cake tasted delicious! Must try! Will come and try their sandwiches next.

I've been getting their pastry on my way home recently and everything I tried has been great. Tiramisu, Napoleon, Fruit tart, Chocolate muffin, blueberry muffin and the butter cookies. Looking forward to try the spinach and cheese croissant they will start to offer sometime next week.

I saw the reviews about this being a cute small business and I wanted to support as well so... here I am!! It's my boyfriend's birthday and I wanted to get him something unique. The tiramisu was delightful. Perfectly fluffy, faintly sweet, with a hint of coffee. The fruit tart was out of this world. I'm not someone who eats fruit tarts but they looked so fresh i had to try it. the crust was *chefs kiss*. Pecan bars were so good they tasted homemade. Not like that processed pecan taste that most pecan bars taste like #IYKYK. and apparently the cookie was so good that my boyfriend ate both immediately. i wouldn't know bc i didn't taste it but it's his bday so we aren't mad! just a teeeeeny bit jealous :) also i am unemployed rn and have almost no money. This was all only $13.50 like WHAT?! IN THIS ECONOMY?!?! A blessing. :) thank you for making my day and my boyfriends birthday. we loved this dessert more than any we've had in a while.

As another reviewer already said, this is a neighborhood bakery you should support! The owners are so kind and helpful, and the desserts are delicious. We used to live close to their old location, and looked at the cakes everyday on walks when the kids were young. We bought many birthday cakes, cookies, pastries, and treats here, and we were so sad when they moved. A few weeks ago, I picked up a chocolate mousse birthday cake for my 10 year old's party, and it was so nice to go into this bakery again. I miss seeing them at their old location, but was happy to visit them at their new one. If you have the chance, go support this neighborhood bakery!

When I tell you family owned; I mean not only it's auntie & nana in the bakery making the sweets with love... they treat you like family with their service! Check this spot out! A little bakery inside a tall Wilshire building, you'd miss it if you weren't looking online! I ordered tiny fruit tarts, mini opera cake slices, napoleon slices, and mini tiramisu, 12 desserts cost me only $30. Great quality, fresh, delicious and worth your bucks. Service was great as well. I had a few tarts before i got home, i couldn't wait! Definitely will be back.

They created a beautiful custom birthday cake for me. It tasted as good as it looked!! I provided the flowers to them for placement, which coordinated with my table floral arrangements.

Best linzer tart cookies in LA. Yes, even better than Bea's in Reseda. Sadly, a tough location to find. Well worth it to find, however. New location: INSIDE the office building on the North corner of Bundy and Wilshire. The baked goods are the same excellent quality as the old location, and from what I can tell the same variety of goods. Cakes are as artful and beautiful as before. For those of you who remember the art deco storefront on Wilshire and 12th, those days are gone. The new location is now one of those office building deli sort of places, which I thought did not have sandwiches, but I have been corrected that they make paninis and cold sandwiches. Good coffee (choice of arabica or Lavazza espresso drinks). Staff is, as always, friendly and helpful. It's just finding the place is hard. But well worth the spelunking through the first floor hallways to suite 110!

The shop is located inside the first floor of the building, proceed down the hall past the elevators, and go three doors down the right hand side. The owner, Joseph, was welcoming and kind. Best of all, their 9" fruit tart ($30) was exactly what we were hoping for in order to celebrate a friend's birthday. I was able to smoothly order online & schedule a same day, in-store pickup. I would highly recommend anyone on the West side to give it a try.

Ordered an apple pie here and it was delicious! We also got some sprinkle cookies which were good as well. I would definitely order another pie here again. Very friendly staff as well!

I loved patronizing Vienna Pastry when I lived close by, and am so pleased they were able to find a new location just across the SM border. They have been a wonderful supporter of McKinley Elementary School as well, most recently having given us a discount on pastries. We love this business!

This place moved from it's original location on Wilshire near Euclid in Santa Monica. I assumed, sadly, that they were victims of the pandemic. But when looking for a Busch Noel this holiday season, I was DELIGHTED to find that they were still around and operating in a new location at Wilshire and Bundy. The new location is just off the lobby of a large office building and has no street presence. But don't be deterred! You can order on-line or just walk in for the great baked goods that we have known for over 30 years. A great Santa Monica institution lives on! Tell your friends!!!

One of THE best places in LA to get a proper fruit tart. Absolutely delicious. I often make a special trip here (passing a dozen other bakeries) just for the fruit treats. They have pastries in mini, medium, and full size. Joseph was really sweet and provided fast, friendly service. BONUS: 15 min parking validation or street parking.

Highly recommend getting your baked goods, especially cakes and tartes for group gatherings at Vienna. Challenging location to find, but it's in an office building at the corner of Wilshire and Bundy, and they validate free parking. We went for a large apple tarte, which was delicious, as well as some of their palmiers (elephant ear pastries) which were excellent also. They even gave us some of their delicious Florentine almond chocolate cookies for free. Everything is yummy! There's a reason this pastry shop has been in business since 1957 *the current family has owned it since 1984. Later we learned that their Sachertorte is amazing, so we plan on returning for that!

I called so many places in LA asking if they make 'Sachertorte' and this was one of the only places that did and they use almond paste (which is not used in the traditional recipe). I had my doubts but my boyfriend really wanted that type of cake for his birthday so I decided to give it a chance and I personally enjoyed it. My boyfriend, who had the cake back in Europe, really enjoyed it as well but could taste the almond paste. He did not love that part but he also did not mind it :) of course he also understands that we are in America so some of the recipes will be changed. Overall, the cake was very yummy and changed my mind on the apricot flavor that i usually don't enjoy very much. My boyfriend was very happy with his surprise. Thank you Vienna for being patient with my emails about the cake and for the kind costumer service

We had the yellow cake with coffee buttercream frosting, eclairs and cream puffs. All are divine. My favorite style of pastries.

Best fruit tart I've ever had, go get you one. Wish I had taken a picture of it but I got too excited n forgot lol. Great customer service, felt very welcomed by owner, and wanna go back to try more items. They have so many options though it looks quaint on the outside. From cannolis to cakes, pretty cheap prices for what you get.

They offer a large selection of cakes, cookies, pastries, etc. We got a birthday cake for my son here, the price was reasonable (about $20) and the cake was pretty good. We live near by so the location is convenient for us. I'm sure there are better bakeries and coffee shops around but we didn't want to shop around and just get a simple birthday cake for the three of us to enjoy. The customer service here is ok. All employees are wearing masks. You must wear one to get in.

Yes! Who doesn't love a local bakery to support that offers delicious desserts, creative cookies, and fantastic fruit tarts? When you walk in, you can smell the freshness and my favorite to do is to look at the creativeness of how they decorate everything. I was on the hunt this holiday season for a gingerbread house kit from a small business and of course, found it at Vienna Pastry. They have pre-made gingerbread houses (both large and small) that are of course gorgeous, but I wanted to DIY. Careful to refrain yourself from all the holiday treats from cookie trays to gingerbread men! COVID-19 restrictions are in place and I was able to call ahead on the phone and pre-pay. Enjoy the treats, especially as they go all out for any of the holidays!

OMG!! Everything in this place taste so Delicious!! Best place to come get a birthday cake!!! And I'm afraid to say this but my birthday carrot cake was only $17!!.. You can't beat that. Vienna Pastry has been in Santa Monica since I was a kid and that was super long ago..

Ordered a last minute birthday cake - chocolate with whipped cream frosting. They were able to make it in 24 hours, and oh my god - it was divine! Such a simple cake flavor but so so delicious! Grateful that they were able to accommodate the late order. I'm so happy that they're still in business post covid. We've relied on their cakes for many years now and they never disappoint!

I have been a customer since Feb 2022. I have ordered since then so many delicious cakes for multiple community events all were delicious and made with love. It is a family business, I had the chance to meet the store owner, very lovely lady, Lisa and her husband all worked very hard to accommodate the special designed cake. Wow! I was craving a napoleon like the ones I'd get in NYC.. bingo this one was better! They have two different kinds, both equally as delectable. I sampled some other treats that were all great. Service is fabulous. Support this small business they are truly a hidden gem.

I found this place by accident at Christmas. I ordered DELICIOUS cream puffs for Christmas Eve. Plus lots of danish and croissants for Christmas morning. I highly recommend!

This place is amazing. They have one of the best cookies. I'll try the cake next time. I was used to go to this bakery, but the place was changed. I found the new location by chance. There is no sign at 12121 Wilshire Blvd. It is inside the the office building on the North corner of Bundy and Wilshire.

The owners are just as amazing as the treats. So welcoming and kind. I definitely recommend giving Vienna pastry a try. It is a little hard to find, but you basically enter from the front door of 12121 wilshire blvd and walk all the way until the back. Again, I highly recommend. Wanted to try a different cake for my birthday. Searched where my husband can buy me a Sachertorte and this place came up. The owners were really nice according to my husband. He bought the Sacher Torte for me and it was incredibly delicious! I had to come and meet the owners myself and Lisa and her mom are super nice and sweet and so welcoming! My husband and I tried the paninis too and they are so good! Bought a couple more of cakes and pastries and will definitely come back for more! Highly recommended! You can definitely feel the warmth and welcoming atmosphere! Great guest service!

Absolutely delicious high quality European Pastries. The carrot cake was exquisite. I also had a wonderful Viennese chocolate cake with apricot in it. Excellent customer service. I can't wait to return.

Great little spot for an affordable pastry. I've driven by this spot for sometime wanting to go inside. I found a huge selection of pastries and cakes. It's not your upscale bakery here in Santa Monica that capitalizes on the neighborhood wealth and exploits it with super high prices. The danish I had was delicious and I will be back. This place has your mom and pop feel and it's not packed with people. If your looking for ambiance/local popularity contest this is not the place. It does however make for a affordable choice for a sweet tooth.

The absolute best service!!! I was running late and Jeffrey came back for me so I could pick up my order. He welcomed me with a huge smile Now that's service! I brought a box of pastries to my friends and we loved them all! I think my favorites were the lemon pastry. Highly recommend!!!

Went again. I'm not a cheese roll fan, but it was good. I AM a cream puff fan and that cream puff with crackle was de-LIIIII-CIOUS! The small cake rolls that look like miniature jelly roll cakes, but have cream inside instead of jam are also delish!
