22 Houston Restaurants With Brag-Worthy Banh Mi

"Owner Viet Tran started Vietwich in a Valero gas station, eventually opening a more permanent location in Stafford. The banh mi here are packed with veggies and house-made pate and mayo. You can’t go wrong with any of the classics, but the Enoki tofu sandwich will convert the most hardcore meat lovers. Fried tofu is glazed with a vegetarian-oyster sauce and stuffed into a crusty baguette, alongside buttery enoki mushrooms. Pro-tip: Add fried shallots to everything." - Minh Truong, Brittany Britto Garley

13 Must-Try Missouri City Restaurants

"Banh mi is one of the Houston region’s most celebrated sandwiches, and Vietwich in nearby Stafford gets it right – stacking its baguettes with pickled vegetables, homemade pate, and a host of proteins, like lemongrass grilled chicken or pork, meatballs, caramelized pork belly, or glazed fried tofu." - Rebecca Deurlein

I tried a few of the popular ones. The meat and the veggies for all of them were quite good. I kind of wanted a little bit more meat, though. The pork belly was tender along with the skin part. Pickled carrots were excellent. The bread was okay; nothing too exciting. Overall, the banh mi were not bad.

Google
It was my first time here and I absolutely loved everything!! The drinks were so beautifully made and refreshing, the sandwiches were very fresh and full of flavor and the egg rolls were very savory. Also the service was amazing! Definitely will be back and 1000% recommend!

Google
Super friendly service and the tofu Bahn Mi is the best I've ever had, the enoki and the sauce are what really make this sandwich!!! The Vietnamese coffee is excellent as well ❤️ This is my fifth time here and they're consistently this good. I'm surprised I hadn't already given them a glowing review but at least I can speak to their consistency now as well.

Google
So far the best Bahn mi I've had in houston. I got the beef bahnmi with kimchi Few things they could improve.... Slightly more meat (see picture) I'm willing to pay extra for double meat but there needs to be more to begin with... I asked for kimchi but the kimchi was just really concentrated in the middle If they could spread it out for the whole sandwhich would be ideal (I did this myself later) Small things to elevate an already flavorful sandhwhich.

My hair stylist next door to this business recommended this place. It was fantastic! My husband had the vietwich classic pork sandwich and I had the vietwich classic chicken bowl. The bowl dish was not on the menu but the staff recommended it. I added a fried egg and it was fabulous! Full of flavor, low carb - without the bread, and full of protein when adding the egg. My husband had the pork sandwich and loved it. It’s an easy access location for us that come from Sugar Land or for those coming from Houston Southwest.

Google
The Banh MI sandwiches were excellent. The bread is a bit too thick, though. The egg rolls were super good, while the smoothies were too watery/ice. I think they should be called slushy rather than smoothie. Overall, I'd say well deserved 9/10.

Google
One of the better Banh Mi sandwiches that I've had! I had the TKO, which is caramelized pork belly, and I added an egg. The bread was my favorite part, it was awesome, especially as it soaked up the egg yolk. Eggrolls were also very good. I finished my meal with a hibiscus tea, recommended by the counter worker as a "refreshing, not too sweet" option and she was spot on! I'll be back when I'm in the area again!

Google
My wife picked me up a beef banh mi sammy and some fried egg rolls. The 5 star reviews led me to expect greatness. This particular order did not measure up. The beef was sparse and chewy, the bread was a little dried out. The fried egg rolls were miniscule, the sauce was below average. I may have caught them on an off day, I'll give them another try. Our first visit in person went very well. My wife enjoyed chicken noodle soup and Some tasty fried egg rolls. Our son and me both loved a pork banh mi with a fried egg and scallions. The Viet coffee frappe were really good, the iced tea was good too. the grand baby enjoyed a smoothie and hollered when the next sip didn't show up fast enough.....

Yelp
It's located in a small shopping center in Stafford. Don't be fooled by the exterior, there's great sandwiches here. They have a variety of banh mi to choose from (the meatball, special, pork, chicken, beef and a vegetarian option). They also have lots of smoothies, teas, and coffee drinks to choose from. The service was polite and friendly. Our food came out within 5-7 minutes, the egg rolls were hot and crispy. My sandwich was delicious, however I would enjoy it more if the bread was toasted slightly and warm. The veggies were fresh and the meatballs were tender. The egg rolls were great and the dipping sauce tasted great with them. I like how they have clips of the owners cooking vietnamese food on the tv playing.

Yelp
The food here was okay at best. The beef banh mi I got was whatever. The beef itself was good, and the bread was softer than most places, which I prefer, but the sauce in the bread had too much butter or mayo and threw off the sandwhich for me. We also got the Peach Potion and Hokkaido Milk drinks. The milk tea was okay, but both drinks were watered down, or at least they tasted that way. The peach drink was set up really cool but tasted like nothing if I'm being honest. I don't know if it was just an off day for the restaurant, but given it's so highly rated, I'll go once more. Definitely a huge letdown, though.

Yelp
I usually come here for their enoki tofu veggie sandwich ! I also got a drink from here. Both are super tasty. Then are quick and friendly. Parking is a little small but free!

Yelp
This place was pretty good! It's small on the inside and not much parking but they were pretty fast with the sandwiches. I had a pork sandwich and my friend had the meatball and we shared so we could try both. They were both really good and filling. I also ordered some egg rolls and a mango smoothie which didn't taste that great. It's just was like maybe made with mangos that weren't really ripe but overall ot was pretty good and I recommend trying it out.

Yelp
Vietwich lives up to the hype! After seeing them make the Yelp Top 100 restaurants list, I knew I had to check this place out ASAP. I really liked the local neighborhood-y vibes this place has, and you don't have to deal with the busy traffic of Bellaire Chinatown area. Walking into their clean interior, we were immediately greeted by the owner, and 1 of the girls on staff. They were both really friendly, and gave us a quick rundown of their banh mi options, as well as their different drink options. We came some what near closing time, but luckily the only thing they had run out of for the day was the "dac viet" banh mi ingredients. We decided to try their vietwich classic beef, vietwich classic pork, and enoki tofu banh mi's, as well as a Vietnamese coffee to wash it all down. Adding a fried egg and crispy shallots is a game changer, definitely opt in for these flavorful add-ons, trust me! The unique option, enoki tofu, was for sure the crowd favorite. I haven't seen this type of banh mi anywhere, but it was SO GOOD! The Vietnamese coffee was just the "cherry on top" for this quick, tasty, and affordable lunch. We'll be back again without a doubt, enjoy!

Yelp
Unfortunately I've been super disappointed with this store lately. Two times that I've picked up from here, it's taken over 30 minutes, one time 1 hour to get 1 banh mi sandwich. The time before that the person at the front didn't even notify us that the food was ready and said she didn't know. I cannot believe it. There was maybe only 1 customer in the store. We won't be returning back anytime soon.

Yelp
Wait...hear me out... This is a damn delicious sandwich. I got the grilled pork. BUT if I ask for extra butter and pate, and you say you don't have that... Only mayo sauce... That is not the banh mi I know. This is a new generation banh mi with a way smaller bread yet super delicious filling. Personally, I would hit up Don Cafe for old skool craving which is literally down the street from here or Bellaire location if you prefer. It's a super delicious sandwich though so I will give it 4 stars! We went to both places today and compared lol

Yelp
Went on a busy Thursday at lunch - takeout. This place is fairly small - maybe six tables. Place was clean and people were polite. Took a couple minutes to place order as everyone who worked their was busy preparing food then waited about another ten minutes for the food. As crowed as it was, pretty happy with being in and out in 15 minutes. Food travelled well. I opted for the roast pork Bahn mi and two egg rolls. The sandwich was great - pork, vegetables and the bread. The egg rolls had a proportionally high amount of mushrooms, not my favorite but still tasty. Solid meal. Wish you could order ahead online.

Yelp
After draining our wallets at Costco, we needed a recovery meal. This place is conveniently located a few minutes away from Costco business center. There is a walk up counter where you order. They have about 5-6 sandwich options and some boba drinks. The girls working behind the counter were super nice. My wife got the enoki tofu, and I got the Vietwich classic beef. Both our banh mi's were very delicious, although I think the enoki tofu had too much sauce for my liking - overall pretty solid sandwiches. One thing I wish was an option in the menu is sandwich + drink combos for a cheaper price for the people eating out on a budget. I just found out they were top 100 on yelp, and I can see why they are! Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area.

Yelp
Vietwich has very solid banh mi considering you're getting it right at the Stafford-Sugar Land border. It has all the classic ingredients you expect, but there's also a tofu/mushroom one for those of the herbivorous persuasion. Also, they have a pretty decent chicken noodle soup, it's quite homemade and fresh, just wish it didn't come in a plastic container. Why I might not go to Vietwich as often as the Chinatown legends is definitely the price, $7-8 is quite a bit to swallow, and they're just a tad shorter as well. The value isn't quite there for me, but if you're like the swarm of kids getting off class at Dulles, it is quite convenient if you don't like to fight through Beltway 8.

Yelp
This continues to be the best bahn mi I've had, even better than ones I tried in Vietnam. I've yet to find it's equal.

Yelp
When you sub-specialize in a specific type of food, it can either hit the mark or really fall flat. In the case of Vietwich, their Banh Mi have completely exceeded expectations! The enoki and fried tofu banh mi (with added fried egg) is on point! Everything just comes together so well - the sauce, the enoki and tofu, the egg - SO YUMMY! If you're here and not sure which to get, I would highly recommend trying this one out. My husband got the classic pork and the TKO, which are both solid as well. There's a few tables if you want to dine in (we did), but I imagine they would carry out well too. At the end of our meal, we were already planning when we'd come back again.

Yelp
Predictably good. Hawaiian sunset tea and pork sandwich. Yum! Also Vietnamese coffee.

Yelp
I now see why this place is top in Texas. My wife and I came on a whim and it was great. The sandwiches are amazing full of flavor in every bite. The boba are just as amazing. The service is top notch as the owner is right on the front lines with his other works making drinks and welcoming customers as they walk in through the front door. Small place and it stays busy, but the food is fresh and service is amazing. If you are in the area stop by and give them a try. Only thing I will say is I wish my egg was a little bit more runny, but that's it. 10/10

Yelp
When you walk nice open look to the place. There is seating but not a lot. This place was on Yelp 100 so of course I had to stop by. I ordered the chicken bahn mi and a Thai tea forgot to snap a pic because is was so good. The sandwich was good the only this thing is that the bread was a little too hard on top for me. Since this is a spot near my job so I will visit again and try others things from the menu. The service was quick and friendly. The had a nice selection of drinks an and sandwiches. The location has a few seating it you want to eat there.

Yelp
Delicious Bahn Mi and teas. Tried the Thai tea and green tea and both were on point! Cute little spot! Definitely give it a try- you won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
Place looks clean . The owner is on his computer I think in the corner on the store he was helpful and looks like he knows what he's doing. I ordered vietwich classic beef sandwich and 2 mom's egg rolls. I like the prices here. Not too expensive . And I love how you can just order only 2 egg rolls a lot of similar restaurants don't allow small amounts sometimes . For the sandwich, the bread is perfected , I like how they slice the jalapeños thin. It's still spicy but like the classic banh mi you don't get that big chunk of jalapeño in one bite that can be overbearing . This place is a hidden gem. I'll put it up with Roostar for the best banh mi place in houston. The mom's egg rolls. We're really good also . Super fresh and crispy . So glad I found this place on Yelp and stopped by 10 out of 10 Everythig perfect !

Yelp
I'm about a month late on my review but this place is truly amazing. The fresh ingredients that make up these banh mi is what sets them apart. The softness of the inside of baguette with the crunchiness of it is a great mix. The service was great, the food was great and the boba drinks were good as well. The Dac Viet only needed a runnier egg to complete this sandwich as it was over-hard instead of over easy. I got the Vietwich Classic Pork. The lemongrass grilled pork was not overpowering and had a nice balance of flavor with the rest of the crisp ingredients. We got the Hawaiian sunset with light Boba and the taro coconut drink. Both were refreshing and delicious on different spectrums.

Yelp
I always get my togo food from my friend so I don't know about the service but the food is very good and unique. I got pork banh mi with some "cai chua" it is very unique and create a good flavor! Highly recommend. However they don't have a good pate to go with the banh mi.

Yelp
I want to start by saying I think I've eaten every banh mi in the Houston area and I was thoroughly impressed by this sandwich! Decent Prices for what you get! I got 2 sandwiches, 2 specialty drinks, and 2 of Moms Eggrolls, for $32 after tip. I always like to try something new when I visit a new place and here it was the Okinawa Milk Tea. Phenomenal! The brown sugar was nutty and sweet and it kind of reminded me of a Starbucks frappe (better) but without being frozen. I'm also really not a sweets guy so I had to get myself a Viet coffee to try and if they were closer to home I'd start my everyday with one of those! Great & fresh tasting coffee, iced, and the condensed milk gave this drink a perfect amount of sweetness. Okinawa Milk Tea 8/10 (you'd probably say 10/10 if you like sweets!) Viet Coffee 10/10 (Will buy every time I'm in Stafford!) The eggrolls are fantastic! Rolled to perfection, crispy wonton shell, perfectly balanced sauce and very well seasoned meat and veggies. If I could change anything I'd want them to wrap it a couple more times for that extra bit of crisp but who am I to question mother! Eggrolls 9/10 Finally for the star of the show I got the lemongrass beef banh mi. The baguette was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. EVERYTHING in this sandwich is seasoned so well, the beef bulgogi is tender and had a great sweetness from the marinade. The carrots, shallots, cucumber, and cilantro were fresh with a light pickling to them which pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the beef. The jalapeño was seeded well so you're not getting punched in the face with a heat that overpowers everything else in your bite. I will mention that I'm not a pate person (texture) so I did ask them to take it off. Banh mi 10/10 The restaurant inside was clean and very well put together. The guy at the counter was very nice and made the drinks by hand. I did see the owner there and I can tell he's running a tight ship and was very professional. Fun fact: he also does YouTube! Ambiance 9/10 Overall I had a great experience and I will be back many more times!!

Chris B.

Yelp
Good taste but when I opened the sandwich, i thought they had mistakenly given me vegetarian. The meat is almost non existent. Disappointing. Don't think I'll be back.

Yelp
Decent place for a banh mi. I tried the classic pork and the TKO (pork belly with mustard greens) sandwiches. Both were tasty, and the TKO was unique. My only critique is that the meats were somewhat sparse. They charge a little more than other banh mi places ($6.99 for the pork, $7.99 for the TKO), so I would expect at least the same amount of meat or even a tad bit more. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience with very friendly service. Update: I appreciate the response, and I can understand using higher quality ingredients, but that's also why the price is a little higher. I don't mind paying a little more for better quality, but the portion still needs to be adequate, and in my opinion, it's not
google avatar

Yelp
Convenient location off Dulles and 90, when you walk in you are greeted with a smile and feel the welcoming ambiance Great variety of banh mi's- the bread is toasty on the outside but so soft on the inside. The meats (I've had chicken, pork and beef) are so flavorful you won't want to leave any pieces out! The veggies are fresh and crunchy They also have veggie banh mi's for those that do not eat pork, beef or chicken! Coffee is Also had the hibiscus drink ‍ A total must try as well! We usually have to drive all the way out to bellaire but we have finally found a closer location. Will be here much more

Calee F.

Yelp
I picked up family @ Hobby and it was around 1 pm, so they were hungry. They agreed to have Banh Mi's, so I brought them here. We ordered the TKO, Pork, Pork Meatball and the Enoki Tofu Banh Mi's with shallots. In addition, ordered the Hibiscus Lychee tea. The Banh Mi's hit the spot and not a crumb was left. My nephew said that was the best Banh Mi he ever had and said their top 100 rating was on point. He wished there was a Vietwich near his Oceanside, CA condo, because he would eat there regularly. Service was friendly and prompt. Love the limited seating, just perfect and contemporary.

Yelp
How lucky am I that I'm randomly in the area in this place is 7 mins away. So, I had to go. It's a small spot inside a strip center. Private parking lot. Super easy to find. The inside is very minimalist and cute, I loved it. Menu is simple and easy to navigate. I got a pork banh mi, a passion fruit tea and a viet coffee. I must say... go for the sandwiches and you can skip the drinks. - the pork banh mi was good. They hands down beat my other favorite spot with flavor. They also touched my heart when there was an option to add shallots! You could taste every ingredient with every bite. My plan was to eat half but I inhaled that sandwich right after I took the photo. - the Passion fruit tea wasn't my favorite. It didn't taste like passion fruit to me. 3/5? At best. The passion fruit jelly didn't really add anything and the chia seeds were kind of a miss also for me. - the viet coffee was ok as well. Usually at most viet spots the coffee is premade, but you have the option to add more coffee to dilute the sweetness. Unfortunately, not here. You always get the look of, viet coffee is super strong, I know. I wanna shake while I'm drinking it lol. The coffee was super sweet and even letting the ice melt didn't help. - the hibiscus tea. My husband got one so I had to take a swig lol. It was very watered down, but very pretty. You got a very very very slight hint of hibiscus but none of the other flavors listed. The lady at the counter was super nice and friendly as well. I didn't catch her name :( If I came for just the sandwiches it's an easy 5/5 star spot. The drinks knocked one off for me. Would for sure still give them a try if you're in the mood for a banh mi!

Yelp
Came by to check this place out!! Super amazing Banh mi!!! We tried the classic beef, pork and tofu banh mi sandwiches!!! I highly recommend them all!! Also there mango coconut smoothie with boba.

Yelp
Food is super good omg yall have to try this 100% recommended- and owner is amazing, definitely looking forward to come back

Yelp
Got the TKO, dac biet special, enoki banh mi. Also the hibiscus tea, hokkaido and okinawa milk tea. Also got their soup. It ended up being a little over 50$. The banh mi's bread has a flakey texture and it is fun to eat. I did like the dac biet more than the TKO. I felt that the special had a better blend of the picked veggies that were a bit sweeter side, with the cold cut. TKO, they had to check if they had any meat left. I guess its pretty popular. This one did have mustard greens w/ the pork but I guess Im used to sweeter thit kho? This thit kho was a bit more savory and less meaty. The sammiches were also a bit smaller than what Im used to and they're like 7 each roughly. The soup was chicken noodles w/ macaroni pasta. It was fun to eat and light enough on your stomach. In terms of the drinks, I think the best was the hisbiscus from what we tried. Okinawa tasted less sweet and its suppose to be brown sugar but I felt like it was more on the coffee ish bitter side. Hokkaido was ok, it was a bit sweet and subtle.
google avatar

Brett N.

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because it's hard to imagine a better banh mi. --- --- --- With over 400 reviews and a 5-star average at the time of our visit, we knew the sandwiches would be great and we were not disappointed. The meat was tender, the bread was crispy and the veggies were fresh. And the service was super friendly. I ordered a taro coconut smoothie and my wife went with Thai tea. We both wished they had been a tad sweeter, but the sandwiches hit the spot enough to where I couldn't dish out anything less than 5-stars here. The interesting thing about Vietwich is that they repped Yelp harder than any restaurant I've ever been to. There's a huge sign outside the door, celebrating their place on Yelp's Text Top 100 list and the years they received a "People Love Us On Yelp" sticker. Inside, their rotating digital menu has multiple graphics on rotation that display other Yelp accolades. I think that is such a good idea, because who wouldn't want to try a place that so many people love? It definitely worked on me! I have had it bookmarked for a long time. As soon as my wife mentioned that she wanted to go to First Colony Mall for something, I immediately said that I knew where we were going to eat lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Vietwich is a Top 100 on Yelp so I definitely had to go and try! Banh Mi "Meatball" I'd have to say is a 8.8/10 super flavorful, savory, and probably the best meatball sandwich I've had in Houston and the meatball sandwich in Houston is usually trash. I'd definitely come back to eat this again. I also had the Banh Mi Thịt Nướng or (classic grilled pork). This was good but nothing extraordinary that I haven't had in this type of banh mi. I've had better banh mi thịt nướng else where but still a nice solid choice. Very flavorful just didn't have the charred/Smokey flavor I enjoy. 7.5/10 The Vietnamese iced coffee or the (cafe sửa đã-ddy) definitely has a great taste and can't go wrong with one of these anywhere. Your classic iced Vietnamese coffee. Also the owner Việt was super kind and friendly! Made sure customers were satisfied with the food and gave some free samples of Vietnamese coffee frappe! Super nice guy and definitely takes care of his customers!

Yelp
Got the enoki tofu sandwich to go for my mom. When she opened it was soggy and the tofu and the bread was drenched in oyster sauce. Too sweet and salty that my mom had to dispose the bread and the skin of the fried tofu. Other sandwiches are delicious.
google avatar

Peter X.

Yelp
When we walked in we were greeted by the cashier. She offered some recommendations since it was our first time. The owner also gave his recommendations. I ended up getting the Dac Viet. The flavor was good, but needed more filling, especially meat. I recommend eating it there because, at least for the Dac Viet, there was sauce inside and it leaked out and made part of the bread soggy by the time I got home.

Yelp
Ordered: pork banh mi, egg rolls Verdict: bread was fresh and were the veggies. Egg rolls were piping hot. Return trip: 3.5/5

Yelp
We called our order in to pick up. The guy on the phone wasn't very friendly and didn't confirm any part of my order. It was slightly like talking to a wall. Well, they did get our order correct. - Pork banh mi - are these supposed to be cold? I've never heard of a cold banh mi. J and R said it would've tasted better hot. - Enoki Tofu banh mi - they actually have a good tofu banh mi! No finely shredded tofu trash like most banh mi places. It had too much sauce for my taste though. - Chicken banh mi - without the mayo due to dairy allergy, and it was just too dry. You need the mayo. - Mom's egg rolls - these were such a hit among the kiddos, it was a fight for the egg rolls. The adults didn't even get a taste! - Hawaiian sunset - i got reduced sweetness and it was quite tart. I would have preferred it sweeter. The guy wasn't much help in deciding if I needed to modify the sugar level when I was ordering the drink. The banh mi come with pickled carrot but no radish. Both would have been nice. Would have had a much better impression if it weren't for the guy taking my order over the phone. Still, the food is pretty good- much better than Don Cafe in SL anyways. I'm sure we'll be back.
google avatar

Syreeta C.

Yelp
My first visit. I got the classic chicken. The sandwich was refreshing, but the bread was extremely hard and crumbly. I don't think it should be that hard. Everything on the inside of the bread was delicious. The Hawaiian Sunset tea looks like perfection. It wasn't overly sweet. It was just right.

Marissa L.

Yelp
Love this place! Bahn mi was amazing and they have tea from Hawaii (love that it's not super sugary like other places) will be back!!
google avatar

Hector M.

Yelp
Amazing sandwich and super crispy egg rolls! Owner was there and gave me a sample of an amazing new team from Hawaii they just got in. Def added to the order. Ordered the classic beef and some egg rolls. Will def be coming back.

Yelp
Top notch food and service. $7 for an awesome Banh Mi sandwich can't be beat. They also make great coffee, teas, and offer catering. Ill definitely be back. Thanks again

Yelp
That crispy tofu and enoki mushroom sandwiches fantastic. Extremely unique vegetarian. Fresh hot crispy bread. Perfection. In the family running the place so sweet. Mr Viet has been classy guy for the past 25 years. I can vouch They generally try craft their own style and have a great offering compared to traditional Banh Mi places. It didn't hurt that there are really neat mortal Kombat 2 and Street fighter 2 arcades to live out childhood dreams on. You can taste the attention to detail and quality and everything food and drink. They strive for perfection. I love the little baguette mustache logo character.

Yelp
Really yummy sandwiches! This was my first time trying out Vietwich and my friend and I both really enjoyed our sandwiches. We both opted for the tofu option and wowwww delicious. I am no Banh Mi expert, but I know people are really picky about two things: the bread and the consistency of the meat/tofu. I can vouch for Vietwich and tell you that the bread is perfectly soft, yet crisp on the outside and the tofu was not mushy at all. It was actually flavored really well too and not drowning in mayo which I appreciated. I decided to get a thai tea with my sandwich and it was a bit too sweet/sugary tasting for my liking. I think next time I will ask for half-sweet or just try out one of their coffee concoctions. The service was quick and friendly, especially given the fact that they had so many dine-in and to-go customers. Stop by next time you're in mo mo :)

Yelp
Went for goi cuon. They were good but not outstanding. Just lettuce, noodles, and meat (no herbs).

Yelp
Bummed when I went in the manager took my order for a TKO and then after told me that they were sold out. I got the classic pork banh mi with kimchi instead. The banh mi isn't bad but it's not a traditional banh mi.

Yelp
I was sure that dining in would net a 5-star experience and I was right. Vietwich is the corner business in a rather empty commercial strip on Dulles right before Highway 90 (or right after, depending on your direction). The lot is pretty tight so I suggest backing into a spot, but there is ample parking thanks to the empty storefronts. The restaurant was nicely air conditioned but not too cold, which was the perfect escape from the 101 degree weather. It was clean and, although there was music playing, the volume was low so it was quiet inside. We were greeted as soon as we entered, and the sweet woman at the counter took our order and checked on us until she left for the day. The women's bathroom was clean, had soap, AND had a hook on the door for my bag! IYKYK!! That's worth 5-stars alone if we're keeping it 100. There is free water in a dispenser on the counter, along with disposable cups sitting next to a tray of condiments to use as you desire. What I Had: 1) Hokkaido milk tea. It was delicious. The right amount of sweetness and easy to finish without even noticing it. No boba because I don't know how to walk and chew gum and the same time so I would probably choke. This is my shame that I must carry. 2) Classic beef vietwich. Just as good as I remembered and loaded with fresh, crisp veggies. The beef was really good but there were definitely more veggies than meat so I'm glad they were good as well. The jalapeños are sliced veeeery thin which is either good or bad, no in between. It was good for me lol. I got hints of spice without mouth lighting on fire. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Now hiring at one of Yelps to 100 places to eat in Texas 2021. Nice local joint. Tasty banh mi and refreshing drinks. Food is good but service is what put this pace over the top for me. The location maybe easy to miss as the plaza it located in is small but they are near the corner of Dulles Ave right next to Sonic.

Yelp
First off, Vietwich is excellent. Not just good, but excellent. I really wanted to have the beef Banh Mi which I had heard so much about but I couldn't. The owner was honest and nice enough to let me know that he can't guarantee that the chicken and beef has not been exposed to pork since they use the same tongs for all meats. However, he told me that the Tofu option is strictly vegan so they make sure there's no exposure. So I got the Tofu and even though I'm not a fan of Tofu, this was absolutely delicious. It was a *little* too sweet, but still very, very good. A large number of Sugar Land/Missouri City/Stafford residents are Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu. Jews and Muslims don't eat pork, and many Hindus will eat chicken and pork but are strictly forbidden from eating beef. Using different tongs appeases a very large customer base. They're already doing this to accommodate vegans so I hope they consider it. But if the previous paragraph doesn't concern you, you will love this place and I highly recommend it!

Yelp
What more can I say? It's be best Banh mi sandwich in Houston. From the old school (Don's Cafe) to the new kids on the block (Roostar) this place is the best. The bread is crunchy and holds the sandwich well. The drinks are home made and extremely refreshing. I recommend the meatball and the tofu if you are feeling like stepping away from traditional Banh mi (pork & combo) . The owner is usually there and very attentive.
