Villa Nova Pizza

My Friends ordered this pizza from this place and it looks like they just threw it in the box. A friend went to go pick it up and did not drop it or anything. when we open the box we see the picture below. So we called them and asked them if it would be possible to either get a refund or have them remake the pizza and they refused. They told us that we had to check the box for every pick up order when we order pizza for pickup. In other words, they're telling us that we can't trust them to put the pizza in the box appropriately instead of just throwing it in there so we have to check and make sure they didn't they didn't throw it in there. And from looking at these reviews it looks like I'm not the only one. This is not okay. Never again. We paid 50 bucks for two pizzas.

Pizza came out extremely overcooked. I asked waitress immediately if this was how they normally were cooked, and she said, "it depends on who's making it." Should have never made it to our table. Salad was good, beer list was inaccurate. Super loud inside, but I liked the atmosphere overall. Think it would be nice in the summer time, but if this is how they make pizza, I'm out.

My wife and I are very impressed with their new location. Excellent outdoor seating. Of course, the pizza is outstanding, along with the nice background, music and great staff. You have to check it out.

My friend went to pick up a pizza and when we brought it back and opened the box, it was all smashed. Looks like they dropped it. Called them and told them and sent a pic but they said there is nothing they could do because it was a pickup order. It's ridiculous that you can't trust a pizza place to not destroy your pizza before you get home. I guess they can't be trusted, so they said you need to open the box and look at the pizza before you leave the place. Ridiculous! Never eating here again. Horrible customer service. They dealt with this in a very unprofessional way. No business sense whatsoever. They should be embarrassed when they see this review. Just a warning to people.. when you pick up your order from them, just make sure you open the box because apparently they have butter fingers over there.

Dafuq is this disgrace?!?! Yes, it tastes as bad as it looks- like a 6 year old made it in an easy bake oven. I can’t even begin to describe all the things wrong with this abomination. Terrible! There is nothing worse than trying to satisfy a pizza craving and all you get is disappointment. I would rather have a crappy frozen pizza and save my money because this monstrosity ended up in the garbage, where it belongs! I am disgusted and saddened by it’s existence 🤮😭

I don't want to come down too hard. This is a very good place. We've been eating this pizza for a decades. This one was a little lost though. Maybe it's the New ovens? But it didn't quite have that crispness to the dough. And we ordered sausage only then mushroom, and there was barely any onion. Which is usually what Villanova is known for. Great sausage and a lot of onion that are sweet. But this one missed the mark a bit. Otherwise, it's our first time at the new place. We certainly liked it and will be back. But this time I'll specify extra onion

Not to sound rude, BUT, I had a very unpleasant experience here. First of all, when I walked in, it was extremely hot. All my makeup melted off! I felt so bad for the poor cashier working. They had absolutely no AC. I could hear the people in the kitchen yelling very inappropriate words and slurs. I felt very violated. The chicken caesar wrap was disgusting! It tasted like wet, warm lettuce and a dry tortilla wrap. One of the big pizza boys gave me a burnt pizza. I saw his hands going places where they shouldn’t be…very unsanitary🤮I got the baked Mostaccioli for my husband and the meat sauce was very bland. I saw an old man who seemed like an owner there possibly yelling at all the workers harshly.

Ordered pizza to go and waited at the bar had a few drinks. First time ever here and the staff was friendly. They have a nice bar to sit at and a lot room in the dining area. When it warms up it's kinda cool they have the option for big garage doors to open on a side wall. We ordered two 12in thin crust pizzas. One was a veggie which was good the thin crust held up to all the toppings compared to other places. The beef and giardiniera was good but there really wasn't much beef or giardiniera on it which was little bit let down but maybe it was just a one time thing. Overall not to bad cool place pizza worth it

Ample parking Nice bar and outdoor patio seating for warmer months Nice bar area There are a good number of televisions in the dinning/bar area Service was good, Pizza is also good and was served in a very reasonable amount of time on a busy Friday evening There is also a pickup counter And live entertainment on Friday evenings

Wow ..Villa Nova just made my day... I ordered a small barbecue chicken pizza. Excellent! And I had a specific order on a large cheese sausage pepperoni easy sauce. Not well done.. on point pizza was absolutely delicious... Lockport is really hard to find good consistent food, especially Pizza... The woman who took my order over the phone was very helpful. You just earned a new regular... Looking forward trying your pastas... next...

Food is excellent. "The John" pizza is unbelievable. If you want a pizza with a kick and you like spicy food I highly recommend it. Staff is friendly and the owners are awesome!

Cute ambiance. A lot of seating. Very loud with music and tvs. Indoor, outdoor and bar seating options. We got a Caesar salad, we asked for chicken and it didn't come with chicken, no problem though really. Massive portion, but without enough dressing. Pep and sausage pizza was thin with plentiful cheese, well done cook is way to go! Delicious. Buffalo chicken was ok. Service was ok. We had to ask for same thing multiple times and staff seemed new.

We bought Villa Nova Pizza from the one in Stickney,il, for 20 years when we lived there. It was always great. When we found out about the one in Lockport,il. We couldn't wait to order. It was totally disappointing, nothing like the one in Stickney was. The sausage is different and the pizza sauce also. Only thing that was good was the cheese. Will never order from them again. Wonder if the Stickney restaurant has also changed, too bad if it did.

Great place. Restaurant with open patio. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great entertainment combined with delicious food, makes this place a top pick!

Great ambiance, nice patio with big garage doors. We went on a day they had them open, Dogs allowed! Pretty cool! servers are attentive. Prices are fair. Pizza was good! Nice chi style thin crust, they load up on the toppings. Deff coming back

First time the drinks were good and the place is very nice and big my bartender marifer was very kind .

First time at Villa Nova. We wanted to try the pizza which was really good. We like thin crust, tavern style which is what they serve. We would definitely go back for the pizza. The service was bad. Our waitress was taking care of several large groups on the patio, plus tables inside. We were sitting inside, so she barely came around. We wanted to order more drinks, but figured at this point it wasn't worth the wait! They sat an older couple (like us) in the same area inside next to us, and no one ever came to take their order. After about 20min they stood up and left. I could see the man complaining at the front desk, but I could tell that they really didn't care. Very bad! I would go back for the pizza, but would hesitate because of the service.

The food was mid level at best, pizza seemed burned slightly. There was some kid screaming behind a wall at a birthday party and then a balloon popped that scared everybody. Our waitress didn't mention the menu is being updated and just brought us whatever was on the new menu even if it wasn't what we asked for. She didn't even feel the need to explain why it was different till I asked.

Pizza was really good! Restaurant was super smokey and hot especially on an incredibly warm evening. Very uncomfortable. I will stick to ordering as delivery.

Service is outstanding from the Moment you walk in the door! Food was Hot & Delicious! Not just for Pizza! The Homemade Chicken Tenders are the BEST! The ambiance was good. The waiters were very kind, and along with taking food orders they made small talk. I was eating with a group of eight. We ordered a cheese, pepperoni, and sausage pizza which was more than enough to feed us all. The pepperonis were hidden under the cheese, however they were very crunchy and pleasant. They were also stacked so you could get three pepperonis all at once, which was nice. They had the football games playing to entertain the guests. I absolutely loved the decor of Villa Nova. The vibe was very modern and beautiful. The tables were clean when we came in, and looking at the outside there is a gorgeous front which gives fabulous atmosphere. The drinks were served with crushed ice that made it easier to drink because you didn't have to work your way around the large ice cubes. I would recommend Villa Nova Pizza to anyone looking for a good place to meet with family and friends while enjoying a slice of pizza.

These prices seem outrageous! I think I'll pass and go somewhere else for pizza and pasta

I went in to place an order to go and had a couple drinks while I was there. The drinks were fantastic but it was the waitress, the manager, and I think the owner(?) who really earned that 5 stars. Not only was the place very spacious and clean, it was very nicely decorated and they had the Cubs game playing, which is always nice. The owner(?) was very nice and I had a pleasant conversation with the manager and the server, which absolutely made my day. Got home to give my children the pizza I ordered for them and they loved it, no complaints all. I ordered a smash burger and it was definitely worth it. Not sure about the fries because I gave them to my youngest son but he didn't complain, he ate them all. This place will definitely see more of me and my money and I will definitely be recommending this place to my family and friends

Would give it an 8.5 out of 10. It's strongest point is it's sausage which I would give a 9. Definitely would be worth trying; best I have tried in Lockport.

We loved the Villa Nova in New Buffalo, Michigan. We ate there several times. We were hesitant on trying this Villa Nova in Lockport. We went there last weekend, and it's way better than the other Villa Nova. The pizza was amazing and the service was spot on. We can't wait to go back. The pizza has a unique taste and the garlic bread was perfect. Definitely recommend this place!!!

The pizza is great. They have an excellent cocktail menu. The open air vibe is perfect for summer.

Had a complete surprise today! It's a sad day when you call a restaurant, they take your order and you show up and they have no record of your ordering it! I had an extremely tight schedule today, so I phoned in the order and swung by to pick up the pizza and to my surprise they looked at me like I was the issue. Stating they had no orders, I dialed the phone number that I placed the order and was on the phone for almost 2 minutes, the phone rang. They offered to make a pizza real quick however, I did not have the time to sit there. They were my go to pizza place in Lockport and I will need to find a new place to get my Za

Another good place for pizza and Italian food such as pasta which is also cheap. It sounds like it has been a favorite around here for a long ass time and sure looks like it. Villa Nova is among the best places in Lockport. Pizza is what they're known for but they have lots of Italian classics on the menu to choose from. The prices are pretty good for the portions and quality. Because I was alone I wasn't going to eat a whole pizza so an alternative was pasta, which happens to be cheap. It's $6.99 for a regular. This includes choice of sauce and toppings. Certainly it was cheap for as much as they pack into a portion. The sauce was also tasty with some sweetness along with some tanginess. Of course the pizza looks good but it's kind of expensive. There's a few more economical options if you're looking for something for a few people or so. Also has delivery. It has a limited zone and so that can't be commented on but of course a delivery charge and tip is to be expected. This is why dining in or picking up is a pretty good idea especially for those on a budget and interior has some old school charm so you'll have to go there.

I went to Villa Nova Pizza. It is one of the best pizza places in Lockport. The pizza looks delicious and other appetizers are amazing. They have the best service as well.

Family of 3 dropped in for dinner on 1/26 (check number 126), dining area was moderately busy. Our food took a while, I think the carry out side was busy. My food came out first. I was done eating then my daughter's food came out. She finished eating and then we waited and waited and then my husband's food came out. I prefer that the kitchen staff timed it all out and brought out all of our meals at the same time. Server was inattentive, spent a lot of time leaning on the bar. We had to get up and get our own silverware, napkins, etc. Took quite a long time to get out server's attention to get a to-go box and our check.

The food wasn't even good. The fries tasted awful. The lady didn't even ask if we wanted to pay with cash. The ambiance was nice. Never going back.

I have been coming here for years, I truly like their pizza their sausage is excellent Their green peppers are sliced, very thin just the way I like them, no matter what size pizza I get, though it's always, every single time soggy in the middle. tonight I came in for a tiramisu I was shocked at the price but I remembered they have excellent tiramisu so I ordered it anyway. I got home it was half frozen. It also was about half the size is it used to be, a very small piece for the exorbitant amount of money they charge for it. To make matters worse, several bites taste of garlic, that is one spice that should never, ever be in tiramisu. Sorry you just lost a customer..

Great Pizza we had 1/2 sausage and 1/2 pepperoni and a BBQ chicken pizza. The tomato bread was very dry and barely any cheese, hopefully it was just a bad day.

I grew up close to the original Villa Nova on Pershing rd in Stickney. This isn't even close. Terrible pizza. Burnt crust, pizza sauce was bitter. I did not like anything about it.

Some of the best thin crust pizza I've ever had today at Villa Nova in Lockport. We used to order from the one in Stickney when my grandparents lived in Riverside. This pizza was the best I remember having from either location, and I've had it dozens of times over the years.

A go to for us here in Lockport. Their sausage is one of the best in the area. Their apps are fine, it's more the pizza you get if you're eating from here though.

Small restaurant, big on flavor. First time eating here, but it's definitely not the last. These guys are cool, and the Italian ice is a must try.

Look, this pizza did something to me. This pizza is SO flooking good!! I was upset that I had to share the half eaten large when i got home lol. Mama Mia - this is great pizza. My new favorite thin crust. I think at one point I was talking to the pizza and shaking my head because it was THAT delicious! Fingers burnt, crust and sauce all over my Jeep LOL - didn't care... It's everything great pizza should be. A simple sauce, yet tasty and just enough distribution. Great crust - I actually loved that it was a little soggy, and the subtle yeast flavor comes through so nicely. Fresh green pepper and onion. That cheese is money when its golden -- OMG this pizza!! I ordered mushroom, onion and green pepper. I wasn't a huge fan of mushrooms, so I took them off and put fresh basil on each slice - haha I had just bought a new basil plant so had plenty on hand. (Highly recommend fresh basil on pizza) This reminded me of the pizza I grew up with on the south side of Chicago, the stuff you can't find anymore. The staff was great, and everyone seemed happy to be working there. Absolutely Victorious Villa Nova! Y'all did a thing, I'm smitten!

When I moved to Lockport, I asked my neighbors if they knew a good pizza joint. All of them recommended Villa Nova Pizza. This place blew me away! Can always count on them to serve up a great pizza as a dine-in or pick-up order. The BBQ Chicken Pizza is my favorite! Highly recommend you try their pizza!

For the second week in a row we stopped in for Villa Nova's outstanding Chicago tavern style pizza. It is just perfect! The staff is friendly and John treats you like an old friend. Cannot say enough good things! This is definitely on the top of my pizza place list!

Picked up two pizzas yesterday. The thin crust pepperoni pizza was burned on the bottom. The last time I ordered from here, it's been awhile, the sausage green pepper pizza was undercooked, (cheese was still white, crust soggy in the middle) Not sure I want to give them another shot with the price of pizzas today.

Called at about 8:10 on a Tuesday night and they wouldn't take my order, said they were done cooking pizzas for the night. Everything says they close at 9, apparently that's not the case.

First time ordering. Pizza is definitely good. I ordered a 14" and Mac n cheese bites. The grill was already being cleaned and instead of refunding me they offered to upgrade my size to a Family. Upset that I was not upgraded as was offered and never received the Mac n cheese bites. Now I'm out 3.99, yes it's only a couple dollars but it's the principal of paying for something and not receiving it

Villanova rocks! Best thin crispy crust in the area. Sausage is delish, seasoned just right, fatty but not too much. Plus their meatballs rule

Wow. I was really craving some deep dish tonight but they said their specialty was the Nova Special. Thin crust, with chunky sausage, onions, mushroom and green peppers. Ordered... ...and my God, what a treat!!!

Awesome pizza. Small place but the people/owners went out of their way to get drinks to you and answer any questions . When the pizza came they were there to get thing we needed.

I'm really struggling with this. Between a 2 1/2 and a three. Pizza was good when you order but DO NOT get the slices. They are horrible reheated garbage tasting bits of soggy cardboard. The spaghetti is absolutely repulsive. I had to throw it out. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was so watery. I'm assuming from the meatballs being frozen? I'm saying that because my companion had the baked Mostaccioli with garlic bread and Italian sausage. The sauce was thick and rich and he said he would get it again. My spaghetti was god awful terrible. I mean BAD! The sauce was so watery, the sauce wouldn't even stick to the noodles because it was so watery. I really want to leave a one star based on this. However, I have to be fair. The pizza when ordered fresh is fantastic. Don't get the meatballs, you've been warned. Until next time

This is the best tavern pizza I've ever had (no joke). It's not close. Super flavor, delicious cheese, delightful crust and Consistently also. Keep up the good work! Will keep coming back!

Nothing spectacular when it comes to ambiance but I felt like it was the right environment for me. Typical pizza joint, relaxed atmosphere, VERY friendly service (Cesar ) and food was delish! We tried a handful of things and can't find a damn thing wrong with any! Stop in, they the pizza and tell Cesar I sent ya! Oh.... and be sure to try the meatballs.... excellent!!!!!
