We arrived to a hearty welcome from the Manager, Andrea. Nothing was too much trouble and we upgraded to a beautiful suite. The whole space has been carefully designed to suit contemporary living, with stunning artefacts, paintings, mirrors and a collection of wall mounted clocks created by the owner Marcello, who pain staking renovated the villa a number of years ago. Each room has a unique clock fashioned in metal, each telling a different time. Marcello also popped into the lounge to say “ciao” too. Clever hidden doors disguise service rooms and cupboards, each decorated with giant mirrors, ensuring the a cosy, homely environment. ||||The evening menu is small but each dish perfectly produced with local ingredients and a reasonable selection of wines, many options for local Chianti, along with vino from across the country. ||||Each bedroom or suite is individually designed and Andrea offered a tour to view a few options for our next visit. A private spa, with small plunge pool, sauna and steam offered a chance to unwind and relax. A small gym, with treadmill too. ||||The most breath taking feature is the view from the terrace and outside pool. You can literally see have the Tuscan landscape and mountains in the distance. Ever changing throughout the day, as the light, clouds and even occasional rain, float by.
