All of the New Restaurants in the Hamptons This Summer

"East Hampton finally has a cozy bistro, courtesy of chef Dane Sales and his partner, Piero Zangarini. It opened where American pub Rowdy Hall stood for years, and will still have a burger, along with classics like escargot, steak frites, and croque monsieur.S" - Beth Landman

10 New Summer Restaurant Openings In The Hamptons 2024

"Village Bistro comes to East Hampton from the food team behind Sí Sí, so we have high expectations for this year-round French spot. Dig into traditional French dishes like steak frites, garlicky escargot, and croque monsieur while you discuss how a weekend in the Hamptons costs just as much as a trip to Europe. " - anne cruz

The Village Bistro in East Hampton offers a cozy, casual atmosphere with friendly and attentive service. It's a comfortable spot for a relaxed meal, though the quality of food can be hit or miss. One standout dish that we particularly enjoyed was the heirloom tomato tart, which was excellent—flavorful and perfectly executed. While the service and ambiance are generally praised, the food can sometimes fall short, depending on the dish. Still, they offer prix fixe menu that’s a great deal in a town where dining out can get pricey. The set menu provides excellent value and worth a visit if you're in the area.

I had the good fortune of being served by Nicole during my visit, and honestly, her service was exceptional. From the very beginning, she was warm, attentive, and highly professional. She recommended a burger that was absolutely amazing one of the best I’ve had in a while. The Strawberry Tart cocktail was a total win: refreshing, well-balanced, and unique. And to finish, the affogato she prepared was simply perfect. Everything was elevated by her great vibe and attention to detail. This is the kind of service that makes the whole experience stand out.

I visited Village Bistró with a group of friends, and everything was spot-on. We tried three cocktails: the Village Spritz (my absolute favorite), the Spicy Watermelon Margarita, and the Smokey Water — each one with its own unique flavor and personality. The highlight of the night? The Village Burger with two eggs. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. Warm ambiance, attentive service. A place to return to again and again in East Hampton, NY

Service is top notch, food and cocktails are even better! The space is so beautiful, warm and welcoming and the team really gets to know you and puts their heart into ensuring you have a good time. We ordered the tuna, burgers, and tacos and everything was delicious. 15028/10 will be back again. Kudos to Chef Dane and his team for creating such a great experience!

The attention is amazing. The food was on point. We requested mussels, tuna tartara, steak and sea bass. The timing was more than reasonable. Drinks are also a plus, I would suggest the cucumber margarita, it had just the right spycineas. Prices are average for the area. The environment is friendly and welcoming. I'm coming back with more friends!

My freinds and I came here. The food was just ok, cheap and cheerful, you might enjoy it if that’s youre thing. The fried calamari didnt taste fresh, it was like just thawed. The spicy wings were pretty tasty. But the biger problem was not the food but the service: it took about 10 minutes to get a clean plate. We wanted to talk to a manager but decided not to distrac them from their important phone stuff lol. Overall, I dont recomend this place.

These guys are trying hard to be a worthy successor to RowdyHall, and largely succeeding. It’s great to have a local restaurant that’s open all year even the coldest nights in February. And the food is great. We ordered the Buffalo wings, the muscles, salmon and the New York steak with chopped spinach. Delicious. The service was attentive, and they even tailored our order to special requests. Their predecessor, Rowdy Hall, would not do that. The upgrade to the decor is fun and lively. These guys are welcome addition to Easthampton scene. Oh yeah, and while we were here, we saw several takeout or delivery orders going out the door. Seems like a popular option on a cold night.

Great place to visit. The service is amazing Food came super quick I asked for the chicken and I think it is a dish to share… half of a chicken it was + side to my taste, it was a little bit salty the atmosphere is good and you can get a table either inside or outside We didn’t have reservations and could walk in for 2

Yelp
This is the kind of place that is increasingly missing from East Hampton Village. Great food and drinks, professional service and a very relaxed (as in comfortable) setting. Drinks may be $20, but they're basically doubles - so that's velue pricing on the South Fork!! The guys running the place know what they're doing and they know what they're customers are looking for. So glad to have Village Bistro around!!

Yelp
NEW!!! French Bistro opened in the heart of East Hampton town. Where Rowdy hall stood for many years (they have moved to Amaganestt). The restaurant has been quite busy with ALOT of walk-ins and reservations. It would be best to call in and make a reservation then walking in of course. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is well- balanced and delicious. Also a great kids menu! The bar is filled with the best liquors and the wine menu is made by a sommelier. The patio is gorgeous and perfect for your fur babies . Open 7 days a week with only diners ATM (year around as well) But this weekend for memorial they will be open Saturday & Sunday lunch. Then later on in June opened for breakfast & lunch! The menu prices are not what expected for being located in East Hampton. Great addition, check them out!!!

Yelp
Rowdy start to the night here. The Rangers game was on and there were quite a few fans seated at the bar. Once the game ended it was a much quieter (and nicer) atmosphere. We were seated by the window so it kind of felt like we were dining outdoors. There are several tables outside. I ordered the French onion soup to start. There was a nice sweetness to it and as much as it didn't seem like there was much cheese at first, there was the right amount! I had the sea bass as my entree. It was delicious. I loved the way the fish was cooked. They could even make a vegetarian dish from just the lentils and spinach. Our waitress, Tiffany, was great especially since the food delivery was slow! She checked to see if I had gotten my soup yet. Then she twice had to check in with us about our entrees and finally said she spoke to the manager about it. Hopefully it won't take as long the next time we're here!

Yelp
Service was incredible and food has been consistently great. I've been here 3 times since it's opened. Ambiance is nice as you can sit indoor and outdoors. Great new spot in town! Good drinks too.

Yelp
Finally great French food in East Hampton! Don't miss the duck in fat, steak tartare, burger or steak frites. Going back tonight to try more.
