The 23 Best Happy Hours in Austin

"The Deal: All food items from the bar & lounge menu are $10 Vince Young Steakhouse might not offer much in the way of daily cheap drinks, but their Happy Hour food discounts are worth a visit. Grab a seat at the bar and enjoy everything from fried calamari and crab cakes to wagyu brisket burgers and steak frites, all for just $10. Most of these items typically come in around $20-30, making this one of the best Happy Hour food deals in town—if it were any cheaper, we’d be worried." - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion

Vince Young Steakhouse Review - Downtown Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"You might think a steakhouse started by a famous Texas Longhorns quarterback (and now retired NFL player) would rely more on name recognition and a prime location than on the merits of its steaks alone. And you’d be right, at least partially. Because while Vince Young Steakhouse does offer a pretty nice atmosphere, the occasional Texas twist on classic dishes, and a stellar Happy Hour, a dinner here is ultimately a pretty forgettable experience.  It feels like Vince Young typed “classic steakhouse menus” into ChatGPT to come up with theirs—it features standards like shrimp cocktails, seared foie gras, and crab cakes executed at about the level of a pretty nice hotel restaurant. Dishes like deep-fried Texas quail show the occasional Southern twist, but the bacon-infused tangerine marmalade it’s served with has a consistency closer to “some pulp” orange juice. The steaks lack any discernible crust but arrive cooked to a proper temperature, so they’re still somewhat enjoyable. Nothing here is outright bad, but you wish it were all just a little bit better.  Despite all of this, there’s a reason that we keep coming back to Vince Young—it’s home to one of the best deals in the city. From 5-7pm every day that it’s open, Vince Young knocks the price of every item on its bar menu down to just $10, including the wagyu brisket burger served with house-made pickles and a side of fries, or the normally $30 steak frites with chimichurri. It won’t be the best steak you’ve ever had, but at roughly the price of a Big Mac meal, it feels like downright robbery.  " - Nicolai McCrary

Great Texas atmosphere. Lots of awesome longhorns. Great menu with lots of options. New York Steak with loaded potato's was great. Excellent flavor and tender. The wife had the lamb, said it was perfect. Service was acceptable. Great ambiance.

Just wanted to update this review - I still would give it the 2 stars based upon that night, however, I wanted to add that I sincerely appreciated the owner reaching out, and listening to the issues we had - and trying to correct it. She truly couldn't apologize enough - and it meant the world to me. We were thinking of checking out Vince Young's for a long time, but usually go to other steakhouses with our fav being Capital Grille. It was my son's birthday so we decided to try something different. The restaurant was pretty empty and our waiter was very knowledgeable- which works well for me since I have some major food restrictions as does my son. We ordered the pork belly and bone marrow appetizers as well as the fresh 'parker house' rolls (the bread of the night). The rolls were not what I would consider parker house, and were too yeasty - I'm big on bread and love fresh bread, but not these rolls. The pork belly was juicy and delicious - my son and husband really enjoyed it. Wish I could say the same for the marrow. It was not charred or cooked enough and didn't spread well or have a good consistency. It also didn't have much flavor other than salt (which was heavily used on all the food). My husband had to go and find our waiter - he didn't come up to make sure all was well when the food arrived. He took it back and had it broiled some more, but it still was not good. We ordered the hand cut fries (they came out hot - and were good, but also too salty), the tomahawk for two (very fatty and grisly - and not in a good way - plus way salty), and I had the salmon. The steak - for that price, should have been better quality and cut at the table. The salmon was ok - would have preferred with skin crisped and on, but again it was salty and when a menu says 'red pepper' sauce, I assumed it would be roasted red pepper, not HOT pepper. The heat in the sauce overwhelmed the taste of the salmon. Dessert - my son is very picky and didn't want the raspberry on top of his creme brulee, and wasn't sure about the grand marnier either - but we were told that the liquor was very light and the fruit could be removed . Honestly - had the dessert items been updated on the webpage, we may not have even gone because none sounded great to me and my son just wanted a normal creme brûlée. Unfortunately, There were raspberries in the custard, which should not have been there - and he was NOT happy about it. My husband got the frozen banana pudding, which he liked, but I didn't. The waiter did apologize for the mix up on the creme brûlée and comped both desserts - and overall was good other than having to find him. One other note, good music - but way too loud.

We went here some time ago and it was a great place to go for a date. All around wonderful experience. Our meals and the service were both excellent. We hope to visit again.

I’ve been here twice for their happy hour menu, and it’s been great both times. The food is awesome, especially for the price. I highly recommend the steak frites. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I love this place because it gives you a taste of luxury without the luxury price tag during happy hours.

Google
The New York steak season is so tender and delicious, probably one of the better ones I've had in Texas. The Pork Belly app was amazing the honey and pepper sauce was unexpectedly good. The negative was that the corn and bacon side was bland and 2 out of the 4 creme brulee were over cooked but full of flavor. If I'm in Austin again I'll be stopping by again!

Google
Me and husband ate here for the first time celebrating our anniversary. The evening was great. We made it early for our reservation and waited a few minutes before being seated. Our waiter Scott was great and provided great service. I ordered the filet mignon with the scallops and the bacon Mac and cheese. The steak was tender and had flavor. The Mac and cheese was so delicious and it was enough to share with my husband. I forgot the name of the dessert we ordered but it was so good and big enough for the both of us that we had to take it to-go. If I’m ever in the mood for steak, I’ll definitely make a trip to Austin and dine in again

Google
The atmosphere was nice and cozy but the food wasn't anything I would want to try again. I had the bone marrow and pork belly which was just super oily. I usually can eat anything but I just couldn't finish these. The lamb was good but I have had better. Cannot speak about the other dishes but this was my experience.

Google
Very nice restaurant in downtown Austin. It has a sophisticated atmosphere, friendly staff, and helpful wait staff. The filet mignon just melts in your mouth. The wedge salad was wonderful, my friend had the steak salad as the entree as suggested by our waiter. Everything tastes great. If you want bread for the table you have to order it. The bread was served in an iron skillet with a side of garlic butter, definitely worth it.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Our server Toryn was super friendly and helpful, making our experience even better. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour on NYE and started our night with steak frites, pork belly bites and bone marrow. The steak frites were my favorite. Perfectly cooked steak, though the fries were room temperature when served. Great value for a downtown establishment. Will be back for drinks and more steak frites!

Yelp
Had a great birthday dinner at VYS! Service was great. Freddie did an amazing job and food was sooo good! Try the wagyu meatballs. Everything about was delicious.

Yelp
Vince Young Steakhouse has by far one of the best happy hours in Austin. There's a menu with 10 items that are reduced to $10 each (amazing). Options include a crab cake, wagyu brisket burger, bone marrow, steak frites and a charcuterie board. Tip- the charcuterie board does not come with cheese. You'd have to order a separate cheese board. The wine options were great. I imagine I'll dine in for dinner at some point but, their happy hour menu has me hooked! Side note- the bar seats a very comfy! :)

Yelp
Run don't walk to Vince's $10 HH deal! This is by far the best happy hour I've been to in Austin. Lounge area only and it's first come first serve but we got lucky and found bar seating maybe 30 minutes before the end and managed to order a few things. I got the burnt orange-tini and it was delicious and strong. For food I got the bone marrow, the pork belly and the steak frites. Everything was phenomenal and I especially loved the bone marrow. By the time we were done, we wanted to nap from how full we were. This was my first time and Vince and I will definitely be back!

Yelp
What an incredible steakhouse for a night out! A great vibe, not too bright or too dark and lots of longhorns on the walls. If you have a cowboy hat, this is the place to wear it! The pork belly starter is deliciously rich and tender, while also a little crunchy on the outside. The drinks are strong but well mixed. The short rib chili is amazing, and elevated even more by the cornbread it is paired with. For main courses: the filet with the seafood trio is not your normal "filet Oscar". It has scallops, shrimp and crab meat , and the sauce has a Texas kick to it. Of course, the chef's Japanese A5 wagyu is absolutely incredible. You don't need a knife to cut it...heck I'm not sure you need teeth to chew it! And for dessert...if they happen to have the eggnog crème brûlée...order it. Trust me. It's paired with 3 small and delicious gingerbread men and has dehydrated cranberries in sugar on top. Perfect place for a celebration, anniversary, or just a night out without kids.

Yelp
I dined at Vince Young Steakhouse on San Jacinto Blvd for Happy Hour, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and elegant decor set the perfect tone for a memorable evening. I ordered the pork belly with Garlic, cilantro, and honey serrano glaze. It was tender and beautifully seasoned, served on a bed of vibrant, fresh greens, Crab Cake Jumbo lump crab, jalapeno aioli, and Wagyu Brisket Burger House-made pickles, cheddar cheese on a brioche bun, and classic fries. A tantalizing introduction whetted my appetite for what was to come. For the final course, I opted for the Forever Young Chocolate Cake--a Devil's Food cake with chocolate icing served with coffee ice cream--and it was divine! Cooked to perfection, the chocolate was incredibly bursting with flavor. Each bite melted in my mouth, accompanied by a rich coffee. It was a heavenly way to end the evening, with a warm, gooey center flowing like a decadent river of chocolate. It was a finish that left me craving more. Absolutely a must-try! Now, let's talk about Happy Hour! It's a fantastic way to unwind after a long day. It features delicious drink specials and a selection of small plates that allow you to sample the steakhouse's offerings without breaking the bank. All bar and lounge menu items are $10.00, $3.00 off all wine by the glass, $2.00 off specialty cocktails and $1.00 off all beers from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. I highly recommend getting there early to snag a good spot; the lively atmosphere makes it a popular choice! The staff at Vince Young Steakhouse were incredibly friendly, providing attentive service that made me feel right at home. Their recommendations were spot on, enhancing the entire dining experience. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a mouthwatering meal in Austin, Vince Young Steakhouse is the perfect choice. From the exquisite dishes and friendly staff to the inviting atmosphere and unbeatable happy hour, it's a true gem that leaves you wanting to return for more! Brilliant Dining!

Yelp
I absolutely love the vibe at Vince Young Steakhouse! It's the perfect spot if you're looking for something fancy with amazing food and top-notch service. I'm especially a fan of their incredible happy hour deals every day from 5-7 pm. They have all sorts of fancy dishes for just $10 each! My personal favorite is the steak frites (pictured), but they've also got wagyu brisket burgers and even bone marrow on the menu. The drink deals are awesome too--$1 off beers and $2 off cocktails. It's rare to find a place where you can have such a great meal in a beautiful, upscale atmosphere at an affordable price any day of the week. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Vince Young steakhouse has been on my radar for a long time. I'm glad we were able to try this spot last night. It was simply amazing. Right off the bat the host is Brandy was such a professional. She did such a great job. Our waiter Armando was simply amazing. Management I want you to know these two are doing an exceptional job for your establishment and we had an amazing dinner. Food: I went with the perfect 10 and let me tell you what it was perfect! 5 ounces of Japanese Wagyu steak. 5 ounces of Texas Wagyu beef. What else could you ask for. They were cooked to perfection. All of the appetizers were amazing. The board of cheese that we got was so good. The crabcakes amazing. The pork belly full of flavor. The sides were great. The mac & cheese was amazing. The loaded potatoes were top-notch. Back to the steak, the best part. It was simply amazing. Every single bite was just phenomenal. Also the rib chili was top-notch. The desserts. The bread pudding. Everything we had was top-notch. Decor: if you are from Texas and you went to UT you will love this place. Also if you like Longhorns like cows in general, you will love this place. It's decorated in such a proper fashion. We had an amazing time and I will definitely be back soon. This is an easy five star review. great job guys!

Yelp
Only speaking to HH but they have a bomb options! Plates and drinks for $10 I don't even wanna share this! We got every single item on the menu from the bone marrow to steak frites so good and for the awesome price point! The pork belly was the best! So if you're downtown , this is the spot to grab some drinks and food and not have to do the whole fancy evening dinner. Grab seat in the bar!

Yelp
Dare I say....BEST happy hour in Austin. The deals are unbeatable. Daily 5-7pm, everything on their bar and lounge menu for $10! Bone Marrow for $10! Steak Frites for $10! Crab cake (oh yes, all crab) $10! Come hungry and order multiple dishes. I come here pretty often with friends. I got the steak frites and switched out the fries for a side salad. Steak was cooked to perfection and was incredibly tender. I shared bone barrow and crab cake with another friend and spent less than $30. Luxury on a budget if you ask me. Service was good except they're understaffed so they barely came to check on the table. Come early and beat the rush so you can grab a table! We heard they're closing in December...soo take advantage of it while you can!! See you at Vince Young?
google avatar

Spring L.

Yelp
I thought I already posted about this place but then I realized that I was trying to gate keep their amazing happy hour, so I decided against it. With that said, the secret is out so I guess I will give them the credit that is due. Their $10 happy hour sounds too good to be true, but lo and behold - it's true. But beware, once you experience it, this will haunt you like an ex lover you can't get over... The other night I went to a new Austin hotspot of a cocktail bar and paid $25 for a cocktail and though, wow... I could have gotten a 12oz steak + fries, with a bone marrow appetizer at Vince Young.

Yelp
We had such an unbelievable experience. There was a party of seven, and our server was personable, friendly, funny, and really, really engaging. He made our night really fun. He was super attentive with every tiny last detail, the food was absolutely delicious, Everything was prepared for us with water in the glasses before our arrival and the ambience was really really nice. I don't have a single complaint, the food tasted great, and I felt like we really got a lot for our money. Next time I'm in Austin, I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
This review is specific to their Happy Hour. I used to come here frequently a couple of years ago, and it's been a minute, but I finally had a chance to visit again with a friend. It's become a lot busier than I remember. There were no open tables, so we sat at the community table and shared it with 2 other groups. We each ordered a cocktail and I ordered the charcuterie and pork belly, and my friend ordered the steak frites. Vince Young's Happy Hour is of high value and great quality. It was my friend's first time there, and he was certainly impressed. It's a great place to catch up with friends, go on a budget-friendly date, and still feel fancy, and also a good place to have a meal with family. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
I came here and I ordered items from the happy hour menu. I'm a little sad that they don't have the crabcakes anymore so I wonder when they remove those. Service Pretty good and the atmosphere is nice. The value of the items are good, but the food is very mediocre. I ordered a cocktail, bone marrow, American, Wagyu, burger, fried quail, and steak Freytes. The cocktail tasted like orange medicine and I was not a fan. The bone marrow was my favorite dish. It was seasoned quite well and the bread texture was good and toasted perfectly. The Wagyu burger was pretty good and definitely a good value. There's nothing special about it but it's just a good tender burger with fries. The quail was just bad. There was absolutely no seasoning, no salt, the meat was tender, but it tasted like nothing. And the sauce that comes with it does not even fit with the quail. It's like an Asian sauce and that combination just doesn't work well. The steak Frites was pretty good but the steak was a little on the hard side rather than being tender. The ketchup that was serve with the fries also taste, homemade, and it is incredibly bland. If I came back, I would probably just get the burger and the bone marrow.

Yelp
Simply one of the finest steakhouses in Austin. The steaks were delicious and came out exactly as per our requests. They have a great wine selection and their whiskey list is one of the best in town (especially if you enjoy the Weller expressions). We haven't had a bad experience at Vince Young Steakhouse and always appreciate their outstanding service and wonderfully intimate ambiance. It is everything we could want in a fine steakhouse and we will be back whenever we are in town!

Yelp
$10 steak frites Monday-Friday from 5-7pm, WOW. Run, quickly!! $10 is hard to beat but it's definitely worth it. I thought the ambiance and service was great. It was on the quieter side while I was there but it was perfect for a solo dinner. The steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were yummy. I'd recommend and definitely come back!
google avatar

Bowie L.

Yelp
I came in on a weeknight to try their $10 happy hour menu and had a great time. It wasn't too busy and we got a nice table in the bar area with intimate mood lighting. I had a drink and we tried four items: the Wagyu burger, bone marrow, steak frites, and fried quail. They were all incredible value for the happy hour prices though I was really only impressed by the bone marrow. The quail came with a spicy, citrusy sauce I didn't like much so I dipped it in the house made ketchup that the fries came with and found that tasted much better. We were sad they no longer had the crab cake on the HH menu but I would still recommend stopping by for a good meal if you're in the area.

Yelp
We came specifically for their amazing happy hour! It definitely turned out to be amazing! The food was delicious. The drinks were great. We loved the atmosphere and the price was astonishing. Definitely worth it! It gets very busy so you'll want reservations!

Yelp
My work group did a private event at the restaurant and everything was wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. Great drinks. Everyone had a good time. We did a buffet which you never know how will work with steak and chicken on the menu but it was fantastic. Everything I tried was delicious. Shrimp cocktail, steak, pan roasted chicken, broccolini, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese. The only thing I did not like was the crab cake - it was too lemony for my taste. We also had a wonderful banana pudding dessert that was just so tasty. One of the waiters, wish I got his name, was so helpful. I was manning the front area so he made sure I got drinks and a plate of food. So nice of him. Overall we had a really nice event.

Yelp
The food and the service is great. Very underrated for a casual night out. Would recommend if you're staying downtown.

Yelp
Perfect steakhouse for date night!! We went here as a pre valentine/ anniversary dinner on a Saturday night and it surprisingly was not packed... We did make reservations since it was the weekend prior to valentines day. We were seated right away. I ordered the rib eye with sautéed onions on top it was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. My husband got the sirloin and he said his was a bit dry and overcooked but he was able to finish it all. We didn't get any drinks or appetizers... the server was nice and attentive can't remember his name.

Yelp
Happy Hour 5-7pm review 4.29.23 Amazing ambience and service. Love Austin TX! The food options are plentiful and accommodating to large groups. There is comfortable seating throughout the restaurant, we arrived on bird scooters at 4:50 PM and waited outside as a group of eight. Happy Hour menu is the way to go! (For me) I recommend the Wagyu Brisket Beef burger, the flavor is on point and the texture is nice as well. It's a very satisfying and filling burger with a delicately meaty taste! The fries are great I wish they gave more! I ate mine so quickly Crab cake was delicious! Large tasty chunks of meat in the prized cake-shaped patty that doesn't dissolve or disintegrate when you try to scoop it up with a fork. If I had gone alone I definitely would've ordered 4 more... for myself! On a side note the Quail looked extremely delicious. I wish I could've tried it on my visit. The full menu offers an extensive array of delicious options. Including Porterhouse steaks and Tomahawks. This is something that I would would like to dive into during another visit. Pro tip: arrive early! I was fortunate to arrive a bit before 5pm, and shortly after being seated inside, and I noticed a large line had formed outside of the door already. This is definitely a popular place! And a great area downtown.

Yelp
Don't sleep on the happy hour at Vince Young, from 5-7 pm Monday thru Friday, where the entire bar menu is $10 per item. This includes the wagyu burger valued at $25 and the Steak Frites valued at $30-35. Both a steal at happy hour! The menu is available at the bar and bar tables. There is about 8 tables of various sizes to choose from and about 15 bar seats. The burger was tasty but I wouldn't order it at the none happy hour price tag of $25. The steak frites was a decent portion and I think worthy of both prices. I look forward to trying more items!

Yelp
Went there for happy hour. Tried the whole menu. Bone marrow score 10 Burger score 10 Steak frites score 10 Duck score 10 Charcuterie board score 10 Crab cake score 10 Favorite happy hour. Waitress went above and beyond. The service was great. Place is very comfortable. Everything gets a 10. Thank you. Unfortunately the forever young chocolate cake has changed. It was not great as before.

Yelp
Well. We used to completely brag about the happy hour and how great it was. We had not been in a bit so had an event at the Moody and knew we wanted to come back. Well, mistake. The happy hour menu has been cut by 75% Atleast. There used to be a variety, now maybe 4 options. The burger was awful-cooked beyond well done. Fries were stubby and cold. The small steak was so grisly and chewy, reminded me of Bucees jerky. SO disappointing! Service was decent, nothing special. Refills on drinks and water were rare. Ambiance of the bar area is normally fun but guess word has gotten out and maybe 8 people there from 5-6:30 on a Saturday night.
google avatar

Yelp
This was delicious. I also had the Wedge salad. Let's not add that one to the delicious category. Because the "homemade " bacon was charred. Other than that this was a good Americana steak house experience. I'll forever harp on low lighting in restaurants. If people are ordering steaks at different temperatures. It's prudent to be able to see the meat when you cut into it verses after you've taken the first bite. Whoever came up with these dim lit places was probably a bad cook. But this place has excellent food. Why not shine a light on it, Vince? We sat at the bar . Because our workmates told us about the happy hour prices. But I ordered from the menu. And I was not disappointed. The charred bacon on the wedge salad is the only reason they lost a star from me. Definitely try this place out. I'd sit in the regular seating next time I came. But thank God this work trip is over in one day!

Yelp
Great steak and even better service. The star of the show may actually be the Steakhouse Potatoes. Smokey mashed potatoes, melted cheese, bacon, and chives. It's a shareable plate, if you're so inclined.

Yelp
Bring back the original happy hour! The previous one was amazing, with crabcake and calamari as options

Yelp
Recently went on a Thursday for happy hour. We sat at the bar- unfortunately the server took our order and we simply forgot so when food runners came we didn't think twice- but it was the wrong food It was fine, we didn't have an issue with the order or paying for it, but she was rude about it. I reassured her we would pay for it, but then I saw the same server be pretty rude to people coming trying to snag a spot and the table was not cleared yet. I think there was a better way to handle it and it made for a disappointing experience. As for the food, I would've only paid happy hour prices. They have easy valet too. Would only come back for happy hour and easy valet that stays open til 10:00 pm. The vibe was chill in the bar, more upscale at the tables.
google avatar

Enny N.

Yelp
While the server was kind, he forgot part of our order. I was having dinner with my sisters for a special occasion and here is what we ordered: Apps: Bone marrow, Crab Cake, Pork belly Dinner: Tomahawk, Ribeye with Scallops addition Sides: Bacon Mac and Cheese, Broccolini, Mashed Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts The tastiest items include the pork belly, crab cake, ribeye, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes The bone marrow was nothing spectacular. Very bland, definitely needed more seasoning to work with that indulgent fatty taste. The tomahawk was cut like a blind butcher got a hold of it. Uneven thick cuts that looked like they didn't care at all. And the broccolini was the worst. It tasted like it was soaked in dish water and I'm not exaggerating. Not sure if they accidentally sprayed Raid instead of Pam on the pan because they tasted funky. I had such high hopes for my first visit and was so disappointed.

Yelp
Food was delicious and fresh. Our waiter Sam was very nice and patient. Place was a bit dark and pretty packed for a weeknight. Ordered the chicken and was pleasantly surprised. One the best chicken dishes I've ever had. Beautifully crisp chicken and delicious risotto and gravy. 10/10

My husband and I went there for the first time for our anniversary. Everything from the hostess to the waiter to the food was amazing! Tru worth the money. The BEST steak we've had as well as great wine, atmosphere and tremendous service from our waiter. Because of that we will definitely be back! Thank you for making our anniversary a fantastic one. Sure didn't disappoint.

Yelp
Food, service, and location was amazing. I was with a pretty big party and our food came out quite quick. We had a party room and I ordered the lobster bisque. That did lack flavor but not enough to take away a star. I had the scallops and OMG absolutely amazing! I will return when I'm in the city!

Yelp
We went to Vince Young's after a Texas football game. The bar area has a great vibe. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. I had the wagyu brisket burger that was perfectly cooked to a medium temperature and my friend loved the quail. Good bourbon pours and prices. The only downside was that the fries with my burger were the most overcooked I've had in my life. Overall, a great experience and we will return.

Yelp
I bet the $10 happy hour burger is good but we went there and the place was full except for some "reserved" seats at the bar. No one helped us or offered to put us on a list is sit outside on the empty patio.

Yelp
Celebrated a birthday in February and have to say if you want to spoil the birthday person this is the place to go! The service is one of a kind and the food is even better. Our awesome server convinced me to order the $100 Wagyu and it was worth every penny. He even brought us the certificate of authenticity so sorry I don't recall his name because he made us all feel special. We are officially celebrating every birthday here from now on as they know how to make it memorable. The vibe is upscale and decor is perfection! Hook 'em Horns, Vince you did this restaurant right. See you again in June for the next family birthday

Yelp
Came to Austin for my birthday with my girls and had an amazing night out at Vince Young's Steakhouse. Give this spot a 10 out of 10. Even the birthday cake brought to the table was AMAZING!!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here for a celebration dinner. The location is perfectly located in downtown Austin. The service was good, knowledgeable servers with great menu suggestions. The environment is spot on for a dinner in the city. The valet is convenient- def recommend to make life a little easier. The food is good, however the flavor is one dimensional. We tried the bone in ribeye with surf and turf....the surf and turf had a cream sauce that really didn't compliment the steak well. The steak was high quality but was basic in flavor. The calamari was a little chewier than I'd prefer but it had great banana peppers mixed. The filet just lacked so much flavor throughout the meat. It was great to try this restaurant out here, but don't plan to return just due to the basic flavor dimensions. Nothing really stood out, in a way where I'd say "I need to have that again".

Yelp
We finally tried out Vince Young Steakhouse. The location is great if you're downtown for an event or night out. There is a lot of fun UT Football memorabilia all over so it's a must visit for fans. The food was solid as well. There is not much parking around since it's downtown so plan to rideshare or Valet if it's a weekend. Overall if you are downtown, want a solid steakhouse experience, and love UT Football this is the place for you. Happy eating!

Yelp
This place's happy hour seems to be a hidden gem! $10 steak frites, calamari, crab cakes, and bone marrow? Count me in! Their cocktails are also $10! I got the Papa Doble and boy was it STRONG! My husband got The Honeycomb and he said it was also strong, so heads up if you're into that (or not lol). I got my steak frites medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. It came with this smoky sauce that really complimented the dish. I had asked for ranch for my fries, and they have a green onion ranch that was unlike any ranch I've ever had. The bone marrow was delicious, the calamari was good and they give you a ton! The crab cakes are probably the best I've ever had, pretty much 98% crab and 2% cake. It's basically a pile of crab, which I'm not mad about! The staff was nice and the music was awesome! Definitely go between 5-7 pm in the bar and lounge area to take advantage and give it a try!

Yelp
Came here for the happy hour deal - they had stopped it for the weekend but I couldn't find that anywhere. Ended up getting steak frites and the burger. Burger was OK (for 38$) you could find better ones at a lot of places. Steak frites was very good though, and service was solid.

Yelp
Great ambiance, service and killer steaks! The old fashioned and Manhattans are devine also! Bar seating was comfortable and spacious, didn't feel crowded or on top of the next person. Highly recommend if downtown in convention center area, easy walk to and from hotels.

Yelp
One of the worst restaurants I've been to. The prices are ridiculous for the quality of food. Crab cakes are dry with a lot of breading. The sauces with the pork belly and quail didn't mesh well. Shrimp cocktail was very small and the sauce was bland. The server and atmosphere was amazing. Really wish the food would match up.

Yelp
Used to have an incredible happy hour, but they recently reduced the happy hour menu to just a few items. We sorely miss the happy hour crab cake! With prices up everywhere I get it, but it was such a treat to get a reasonable bite at a fancy steakhouse! UPDATE: Crab cake has returned to the happy hour menu! Can't wait to go back again!!

Yelp
Service is great. Absolutely great food. The lost star is for the chocolate cake. The best bone marrow ever had. So aromatic with all the garlic and herbs. Love the tiny bit sweetness of lamb and pork belly. The beef is perfect and the side mushroom is soooo good. The scallop addition is also so good. The perfect balance of the creamy and the crispy texture. Perfect flavor. Everything is delicious but I hate the chocolate cake. The liquor ice cream is very very delicious. I think it is kind of unfair to give it only a four star but, pls prepare better chocolate cake please. Totally five star steak house!

Yelp
Went for mom's birthday. We had others in the party running late and the waiter was extremely patient and understanding. The food was amazing. We sampled from appetizers to salads to steaks to entrees to sides to desserts. Everything was cooked to perfection (even the well done steak was moist), came out hot, and left us feeling happy and full. I know everyone has their definition of expensive, and this was totally worth it!
