The restaurant is in a fair location but parking is scarce, the hostess are polite and courteous, the all around atmosphere is decent its gives a warm and robust feeling. The meals me and my wife had were decent but left for more to desire. The appetisers were awesome and priced fairly, I cannot lie I had some expectations with the main course and really looked forward to having something familiar in a sense to what I had experienced in Spain. Me and my wife had the same course, it was the Rossoto Con Scampi. The course was presented well and in more than a reasonable time. The meal in its entirely wasn't at an adequate temperature for me or my wife, it was warm and decreasing in temperature. My wife wasn't a fan of the shrimp in particular. The taste of the food was decent but the temperature and texture of the dish left more to be desired. Initially I wanted to try the Lasagna and my wife wanted to try some pasta but we allowed nostalgia to overcome us and we wanted something that tasted familiar 😅. To be honest its not fair to compare the taste and preparation of 2 different meals but we have should of went with our first gut instinct. I will give the restaurant another chance, the food we saw being served to other patrons did look appetising 😋 I recommend this restaurant for casual dining, they also offer take out and have a open bar. Enjoy the food and don't be afraid to let the hostess know how the food taste. We didn't tell them anything about the food being warm or if we wanted to return it (my wife wanted to return her plate but doesn't like to be bother feeling like she is being complicated or picky) if the food had any egregious findings we would surely exclaim them to the waitress 😅. All and all its not bad we will try again with our first intentions with less expectations of course. 👍

The new place is great. The food was amazing. Our server was a delight. The atmosphere was ok. The place is shiny and clean, but very loud. No barriers to block the sound from traveling. If you want a quiet romantic dinner, this is not the place. If you want to handout and have great food with family and friends, then this is a place to try. The summer Sangria was amazing .

Really enjoyed the new Vino location in Great Bridge! Without a reservation (call in, didn't see it on Google yet), we were seated as estimated! Our server, Danielle, was amazing with the menu &; food prep expectations! The crispy, seasoned focaccia was a good start. Also the dinner Caesar with Calamari 😋. The table enjoyed Uncle Angelo's Lasagna and the Penne Paesano - and the kitchen changed the tomato cream sauce to their light alfredo sauce!! Yum! The mild sausages in this dish were so good !! 😋 Oh almost forgot, the Summer Sangria was so refreshing! ✔️ CHECK IT OUT!!!

Beautiful space — terrible experience. This place might look nice, but don’t be fooled. The staff — mostly young and clearly inexperienced — dragged the entire vibe down. Our server started out decent, but by the time we left, it felt like we were being rushed out and ignored. Management? Dismissive and completely uninterested in addressing concerns. Now the food… where do I start? It was bland, barely warm, and completely forgettable. They called it “bolognese” — I call it disrespectful. It tasted like something out of a jar dumped on noodles with zero effort or flavor. And the cherry on top? Dry Parmesan cheese scooped with a plastic spoon right at the table by the waiter. I wish I was joking. If you care about good food or decent service, skip this place. It’s all style, no substance — and a complete insult to Italian cuisine.

I was there on Saturday, August 16 and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the risotto with shrimp and my husband had the salmon it was cooked perfectly. The restaurant is beautiful and a great date night . For her sake, if you say she’s really nice our server was Haley was our server she was great .

Google
Loved this place! My gnocchi dish was excellent, but the stand out was the pepperoni pizza, which was SUPERB!!! One suggestion, the free bread wasn't that great, especially accompanied by very cold butter that tore it apart when trying to spread it. I would change up your bread and serve it with good olive oil.

My wife and I decided to try Vino Italian Bistro at their new building in Chesapeake for a quick date night. We couldn’t stop talking about how comfortable we felt there due to the atmosphere Vino provides. Even better, the wait staff was phenomenal by making sure we were taking care of the entire time. The food was 10 out of 10. (I need to mention that the pizza is the best pizza I have ever had) Whether it’s a weeknight bite or another date-night spot, if you’re looking for a place with authentic Italian meals, Vino delivers. We’ll be back.

It was our first time here and we absolutely love our experience. We made reservations since it was our first time will definitely be back. Our waitress was beyond amazing and made our experience so much better. Everything we ordered was nothing but amazing. Having just lived in Italy for three years we definitely were missing Italian food and this was definitely good. Highly recommend this restaurant everything is well priced. I feel like the drinks were really good. The kids were satisfied as well and very full. No complaints.

Yelp
We LOVED the old location! The Ambiance was perfect for those special date nights where you could grab wonderful food with a romantic setting to discuss life's adventures. The new location is 100% the opposite. It is busy busy busy with a loud bar making it difficult to hold a conversation. We had a reservation for Wednesday evening and arrived 10 minutes before the reservation time. We were seated 40 minutes later. Although the staff was friendly, you could feel the pressure on them and it made things uncomfortable. The "New Vino" is NOT the old Vino and I wish that wasn't true. The food was still great!

Yelp
Vino Italian bistro was quite the experience for our 2 hour trip from home! We were greeted by such beautiful ambiance & customer service upon arriving, and opted for a patio dine as we had our two little girls with us. We started off with two Caesar salad's- which were delicious! For our main course my husband and I decided to try the Quatro formaggio, who came highly recommended by our server (Tyler). BEST pizza i have had in a very long time! We finished off with the toasted almond (or hazelnut) cheesecake with gelato! I am very pleased with our experience at Vino, and will absolutely make the 2 hour drive to try out more menu items! As for my server, Tyler, He was very respectful, helpful, eager to check in on us and if we needed anything... He was a main part of our awesome experience!

Yelp
The food is of a consistently high quality - the menu isn't huge, but everything on it is prepared with a mastery of each dish. I might wish for a greater variety of choices, or barring that, a special of more than one item. Our server Tyler was very attentive to our table of four, while providing the same fully engaged service to every table in our section. It was a busy evening, but the service was exemplary - all bases covered, and a bit of intuition. Our table enjoyed the Salmon, Capellini Pomodoro, Egg Plant Parm, and Chicken Parmesan. The fish and the egg plant were standouts among our table - tho no one had any complaints! The pasta is always, every time, prepared perfectly. The salted caramel pistachio gelato and the cheesecake for dessert capped a lovely meal.

Yelp
It used to be one of our go to places before they moved before I found a LIVE spider crawling in my salad. Omg, I can't. When I mentioned it they said sorry, offered to remake it but I didn't want more spiders so I said no. They charged me for the spider salad that I didn't even eat... so naturally we never went back as eating spiders is pretty traumatic. BUT! With the move to the new building I thought we should give it a try again because the bread/burrata was good. I ordered the same dried cherry goat cheese salad and...it came out with no dried cherries. The salad has like three ingredients in it and one of the major ones is missing? They said "oh yeah we haven't had those for days." 1. Why offer food on your menu that is missing a main component, especially when Kroger is so close and someone could literally restock something like dried cherries so easily? 2. Why are the wait staff not warning customers about missing ingredients BEFORE ordering- it truly sets up disappointments and false expectations, like not warning a customer who orders a pie that you're out of cheese. So yeah, if you go maybe skip all of their salads.

Yelp
I dined here on a Monday night. The entrance was a little unusual, but once inside, it's a charming little spot. The vibe is upscale yet casual; I was in jeans, and most others were too. There was no wait, so I was seated promptly, and Haley greeted me right away. I started with an Italian Margarita. The bartender poured it too strong, and I tasted nothing but tequila. It wasn't rimmed with sugar as advertised, not that it would've helped the flavor. I couldn't even finish the drink, it was not enjoyable at all. I ordered the Penne Ala Vodka for my meal. It was creamy and rich. For dessert, I couldn't resist the Crème Brûlée. As someone always on the hunt for the perfect one, theirs didn't disappoint. The crunchy top gave way to a smooth, gooey center. Haley was attentive and made sure everything was just right. While I wasn't a fan of the cocktail, the meal itself was delightful.

Yelp
I ordered a Margherita pizza that has butter, tomato, and cheese. It has no basil no tomato sauce and no flavor.

Yelp
We have been twice to Vino's new location with disappointing results both times. First visit the food took way too long to be served and when it was it was not hot. Seems like it sat under a heat lamp waiting for the full order to be prepared. Too long! Last evening we had 5:30PM reservations for three. Ordered food at about 5:50 and it was served lukewarm an hour later. It just wasn't that busy. This is disappointing since the original Vinos on Battlefield was excellent. The quality of the food here is excellent but slow, incomplete preparation and kitchen service is damaging the reputation of an otherwise wonderful restaurant.

Yelp
As a Boston Italian, I didn't have a lot of hopes for this place. But I was very pleasantly surprised! First, the waitstaff was amazing. Everyone very pleasant and engaging. The atmosphere nice and cozy. Great bar area. Drinks were good... a bit on the pricey side, but the sizes were good. Mussel appetizer was very good, but the calamari was a bit chewy and soggy. Salad was great... very fresh. The main course meals was where they shined. Everything was fantastic! We could have skipped dessert... biscottis should be nice and crunchy, but this one was delicious but chewy... but again, in Italian, so I'm very picky on these things. All around, we will be back to Vino. Great experience

Yelp
Totally disappointed in this place. Let me start off positive. The service was excellent. The appetizers oyster Rockefeller and bruschetta was very good. Now to the food. My wife's shrimp risotto did not look like risotto and she said it was ok. My brother had the bolognese and he said it just tasted Like lasagna. I had the veal saltimbocca and as you will see in the pic there is lots of water in my dish vice sauce. The cheese was cold and the meal was room temperature. There was very little veal in my dish. If you want better Italian food for a good price try Luce Secondo. Heck Olive Garden is way better food than this place.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
Calamari appetizer- salty and overpriced for portion. Chicken francese was average. Wagyu ravioli was not great. Overall meh.
google avatar

Jill C.

Yelp
I manage to dine here every time I'm in town. One of our vendors recommended this restaurant and it's become a regular option when I travel here for work. The oysters Rockefeller are a must when dining here. You can even watch as they're made in the wood fired oven at the front. Their cocktails are tasty and the pasta dishes never disappoint. The chicken piccata is a favorite as is the eggplant parmigiana.

Yelp
I've only been here twice so far but I will return. Excellent service and food. The staff is right there to help you and the lichen makes your stay delightful.

Amelia B.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. Beautiful decor. We had the meatball appetizer, lasagna, and chicken Parmesan. It was amazing. We finished the meal with a cannoli. Yum! Our server, Sydney, was great! She was nice, efficient, and attentive. We will definitely come again and bring friends and family.
google avatar

Lysa B.

Yelp
Ambiance is always intimate and a vibe and the food matches !!! I love the wood fire oysters !

Jessica F.

Yelp
First time to the new location and it was very disappointing. First the fryer was broken which cut out a lot of options on the menu. Our food came out room temperature. The penne alla vodka was lacking flavor, and the chicken was dry and bland. Portions are very small for the price. $20 for a small amount of pasta and 2 meatballs is a little much. Really the only good thing is the wood fired pizza. Not to mention we could see the cooking staff vaping while preparing the food.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I come here relatively often, usually relatively late in the evening, and the food and service is always really good! However, we stopped in a few minutes before 9 to eat on Monday and the hostess greeted us by doing the horse thing with her lips and then looking down at her phone and muttering "the kitchen closes in 35 minutes, but you can still drink if you want." No option to eat despite knowing what we want before we sit down and the restaurant being open for another hour. Sounds like the hostess is in the wrong job, but frankly we probably won't be back for quite a while now.

S S.

Yelp
first we were told that friers were not working taking off several items off the menu. After choosing some alternative dishes the food finally came out and was not hot. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
I have been here a few times and always enjoyed it until the last two visits and last night will be my last. The food quality has gone downhill, I've always ordered the penne al vodka it was horrible and had big chunks of garlic, the butter is too salty and the service is horrible. The waiter never came to check on us after our food was delivered by another server to offer Parmesan cheese. Never offered the oils for bread after she delivered stale bread. At the end of my dinner a cockroach ran across the table and onto my bread plate and down the seat! I took a picture and informed the waiter and she just grabbed our credit card and charged my card and said she would let the manager know. Definitely won't be visiting this establishment again! Spend your money elsewhere.

Yelp
From the exterior, one could not imagine this restaurant serving the most delectable cuisine I have ever encountered, which was cooked to perfection and tailored to my request for no hot spices. Everthing was perfect, including the price.

Alex T.

Yelp
Had dinner at the new Vino location last evening. The new location has a great new look and feel with natural lighting and updated decor all while still conveying the ambience of their former location. Reservations were made and we were taken to our table promptly upon arrival. Our server came to us quickly to ask about drinks and appetizers. I ordered my usual glass of wine and the others that were dining with us ordered what they wanted. We started off our evening with what is a new menu item of Ravioli with a Wagyu beef sauce which has a very good and savory taste. As we were finishing up our appetizer our server took our food order. My favorite item there is the "penne à la vodka" and it came out with the same consistent taste as their old location since consistency is key in the restaurant business. Everyone else at the table loved what they had. We finished off our dinner with two desserts, tiramisu, and crème brûlée which were as phenomenal as they always are. Our service was great, prompt and courteous. We will definitely be visiting there sooner than later.

Yelp
I was taking a dance class in the area for a few weeks and stumbled across this little spot when looking for something to eat after. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but inside, you're transported to sort of an old-school lounge kind of vibe. It wasn't particularly busy any of the three times I visited, but I can say after three visits that the food and service are legit. The wood-fired pizza is where I spent most of my time - and it's totally worth it. Incredibly tasty. I tried several kinds - I'm a sucker for margarita pizza and theirs is really quite delicious. Also the artichoke dip comes with these puffy pieces of bread that are unique and really tasty. A decent wine list, excellent staff service each time. I'd give this place a very solid 4.5 stars -- the decor and digs may not appeal to everyone since they are very retro in orientation, but definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Came here because a family member raved about it before, so we decided to try it. We ordered 2 chicken Alfredo's and a 10 inch cheese pizza, I won't ramble on- I will just say the food is bland, there was NO seasoning on either pasta.. the pizza wasn't cooked through. My pizza-loving 3 year old spit it out. That should tell you enough. Absolutely do not recommend. Go to Olive Garden...

Carolyn S.

Yelp
went on Mothers day. The restaurant was clean and well staffed. The food, however left a great deal to be desired. It seemed like they have no real idea how to prepare italian food. The Carabanarie had broth not the creamy sauce it should have with pasta on top. The fetachinie was a bowl of sauce with little or no chicken and pasta. Not worth the money.

Yelp
We were greeted promptly upon arrival, not once but 3 different times by 3 different people. It's great to be acknowledged immediately and thoroughly so that is a major plus for me. This was our first time going here and it had a nice cozy ambiance. The bread they provided was soft and delicious with the olive oil garlic blend they have. I had the Lasagna (pictured) and it was both delicious and filling. I also tried their Moscato which was amazing. I will definitely return!

Yelp
Bummer!! Looking forward to a new restaurant experience in Great Bridge, and Vino got pretty good Yelp reviews (4-star average from 240+ reviews when I checked). I REALLY try to make my reviews fair and consider all things like staffing shortages, bad days, etc. And I truly believe this is fair. Party of 4 with reservations on a Friday, early summer evening. FOOD: Apps: Complementary bread was hot and crusty, and while the rest of the party enjoyed it, I found it a little stale and "musty". Maybe it was just me. The Olive plate was fine, although the large cherry peppers far outnumbered the olives, which were all "Greek"-style. Arancici were HUGE (2 on the plate)! Sauce was decent, exterior nicely fried, but the inside was pretty bland without some of the sausage in the bite. I also expected more of a binder from cheese, but the inside was pretty loose. Entrees: Lasagna noodles and structure were really nice, but again - bland. Also, the rectangular pieces were served in a bowl. Why?? Eggplant Parm: Ginormous portion!! Easily 3 meals. Breading was great and fried well. Four HUGE pieces were served with at least a 1/2 pound of Capellini underneath. It was WAY too much, and sauce was barely mixed in, making the pasta difficult to get a complete bite in the fork. I waited for quite a while until another server brought a spoon for mixing/twirling. And again, the overall dish simply lacked flavor. Mediterranean Penne: It was okay. It came with no sauce, which was unexpected, although sauce is not listed as an ingredient, to be fair. Ordered a side of marinara to give the dish some help with moisture. Added a meatball, which you might be able to see in the photo lacked texture and flavor. SERVICE Ours tried to be friendly, but was aloof at best. Also saw him running hands through hair in the bar after we had given our drink orders. After ordering our food, we didn't see him again until he came back to ask how everything was tasting...while we were finishing up and asking for takeout boxes. They were not that busy. Had to ask other servers for a pepper shaker, a pasta spoon, and a side of marinara (which was 1/4 cup). They were all very nice and responsive when we asked though! We asked for a dessert menu along with the takeout boxes, and he brought one. When we asked for more than one he said he'd try to find another, but "there's only like 4 of these laying around in here." ??? Dessert: The menu mentioned Seasonal Gelato. His answer was they only had Choc and Van, and were out of Strawberry. I don't consider Choc/Van/Straw seasonal, but maybe that's just me. We all shared the Brownie sundae (it was called something else), which was very good. CLEANLINESS Ladies restroom was unacceptable. The sink mirror border had several large areas of dried soap foam, which made it very obvious they hadn't been touched since at least the day prior (they open at 4). The mirror glass was also very spotty and dirty, and there was a layer of what seemed like construction dust all over the place. The porcelain fixtures are black, so it's unfortunate that you can see everything, but it was legitimately not clean. My party knows I'm a Yelper, and when I reported that back to them, one person then directed my attention to the dirty mop/cleaning bucket that was propped up in a corner of the dining room. Really?? PARKING Not their fault, but it's tight! Highly suggest pulling into the extra parking towards the back, which is for the separate strip mall (Jersey Mike's, etc.). There is a HUGE pothole before the rear of the restaurant. I didn't see it on my way in because it was early, and the lot not very full. But on my way out, I detoured through that strip mall lot. Good thing it was still light out, or that pothole would have been a very unpleasant surprise. OVERALL Underwhelming. Maybe it was just an unfortunate snapshot, but there were too many down-checks on the basics to make returning worthwhile. Sad face.

Yelp
My wife and I both ordered a veal dish I ordered Bill Piccata she ordered veal Sultanbuko (sp?), the food arrived and the waitress reminded us at the plates were called scalding hot as they just came out of the pizza oven and they were very hot however the food was just warm as a matter of fact the mozzarella on top of my wife's veal dish hadn't even melted the veil on my piccata was tough I mean really tough normally veal has a thin you can cut it with a fork and it's usually delicious and recently fried this stuff was obviously fixed Lord knows when put on the plate cold with the noodles and the sauce and putting the pizza oven to warm up I do not recommend you get anything but pizza at this place because that appears to be the only thing that they actually cook fresh. Service was great and very friendly we were seated quickly as we had reservations. Parking is strange. We may try the Kempsville location to see if it's any better.

Yelp
Reserved for a party of 8 in the back room which was great since we were celebrating my friends birthday. It was a Sunday evening around 5:30. Our waitress was phenomenal!!!! She was one of the best servers I've ever had in a long time! She was willing to fix any issues we had, provided extra plates that we needed for cake, and went above and beyond without hesitation. Food was all delicious and came out with perfect timing. It was so good I ate my leftovers that I brought home. Will definitely return.

Anthony N.

Yelp
The service was good, so was the ambiance. I was excited when I got the bread service + dipping oils, they were phenomenal. The caprese was average. Presentation was gorgeous; however, tomatoes were underripe and mozzarella had a weird "peel" on it and was overly-firm. The balsamic glaze was great. My veal marsala had a teeny-tiny portion of veal (I did get a "small" portion, but it was more like a kid's portion). The Marsala sauce was bland. Pasta was like store-bought pasta, not fresh. Any Italian restaurant that serves fresh pasta gets an automatic four stars or up from me.. Fresh pasta usually equals top-tier Italian food, a notch above what I can prepare at home. Overall, an average Italian joint with really great bread. Like Olive Garden with a nicer atmosphere.

Yelp
My current visit to Vinos was nothing like my 1st. Last time we made reservations and it was a busy Saturday night. This time, at 1 point, we were the only people in the restaurant beside the staff. I thought that would result in great service, but I was sadly mistaken. The last time we were given bread without having to ask. This time, I had to ask twice. The menus were never taken off the small table, resulting in us not having much room when we did finally get the bread. Last time, they offered freshly grated cheese for the meatballs - this time that did not happen . We were only allowed to order apps. The young lady never asked if we wanted a main dish. I wanted to try the eggplant parmesean. Luckily, I got full from the food I did order. I guess you get better service on a busy Saturday night vs. a slow Saturday afternoon? The meatballs needed some salt. The artichoke hearts in the salade were really good, and the bread was warm.

Yelp
I me and my son went for Easter dinner. The place is very nice. It was not busy. They sat us in the back. We ordered for an appetizer fried calamari it was OK nothing to brag about and again I am retire from New Jersey. My son ordered the salmon risotto. He said it was OK. I ordered the veal Parmesan. It was the worst I ever had in my life. The sauce was actually disgusting. The pasta was overcooked. The veal was chewy and the best part was. I had away 45 minutes from my meal while people came in after us were getting their food. I asked the waitress where my food was. Why was it taking so long? Her response was you're joking me aren't you I said no I'd like to have my dinner and I explained there are people getting their food ahead of me all I could say is stay away go to the Olive Garden better
google avatar

Josh G.

Yelp
We sat at bar because they didn't have any open tables they said although the entire time we were there they had 4 or 5 open tables. We didn't get any bread with our meal probably because we were just bar table sitting scum. My wife got the Italian margarita and it came in a regular glass with no garnish or sugared rim or anything. If I am paying $14 a cocktail I expect to get the works and the presentation to be there. Food was good but pretty small portions. We will probably not be going back.

Nancy G.

Yelp
I ordered eggplant Parmesan with sauce on the side. It was delicious! Lightly crispy and not greasy at all. I recommend especially if you love eggplant!

Cindi W.

Yelp
Came here for dinner to celebrate my birthday with some friends. Loved the setting, very cozy. The waitress recommended the fococacia which was so yummy!! I definitely preferred that over the house bread that was given. I did like the two different flavored oils that are given with the house bread. I got the di capri salad and chicken portofino. The salad was great, the pasta was good. I initially didn't care much for the white wine sauce, but when I added fresh parmesan it definitely enhanced the dish. I would go back and try other dishes. The penne ala vodka with chicken that one of my friends got looked super yummy!!

Yelp
I came here with my family for my birthday last year. The restaurant is very inviting and I really enjoyed the set up and decor inside. I love Italian food, especially chicken Marsala, which is what I ordered. I thought it tasted pretty well, I just didn't like how much oil was on my plate. The oil made it very messy and hard to eat. I had a good experience overall and the service was good also.

George N.

Yelp
Nice fun atmosphere. Employees are nice and everyone loved their dishes. And always the same, great service and great food. Don't miss the warm bread and dipping oil.

Yelp
Great service, great food, loved the ambiance I'm a business traveler and I'll definitely be taking advantage of this place again.

Yelp
Hubby and I had a DELICIOUS Valentine's Day dinner at Vinos last evening. Everything was wonderful from beginning (the hostess was so nice and friendly) to the server (Meredith who was attentive but not intrusive, helpful and had a great personality) to the plates-delivery person (who was also very nice and polite). And the food? Delicious! The ample serving of thick, tasty bread/butter started off the meal perfectly. The bruschetta appetizer was very good. Me: pasta alfredo with asparagus (very yummy!). Hubby: spaghetti with Bolognese sauce (raved!). Definitely our favorite Italian restaurant now. Can't wait for the brand-new place to open in April (2025) about a mile or so away still on Battlefield Blvd.

Yelp
Started with the Meatballs; Pork, beef, and veal. Good. The sauce: Cherry tomatoes, large garlic pieces, basil, parmesan cheese. Incredible. Ordered the Chicken Parmesan, with the "Angel hair" spaghetti. I believe it's served with Vodka sauce. It was absolutely, delicious. Tasted as if it was cooked to order. Breadcrumbs were still crunchy, in parts where the sauce wasn't on the chicken. Overall, wonderful experience, thanks to "Madison," and delicious meal. I recommend.

Yelp
From the moment you walk in, you can feel the Italian atmosphere with Frank Sinatra playing through the speakers. This was an awesome lunch experience, especially with the Mrs love for Italian cuisine. The calamari was outstanding, the bread was extraordinary, and the pasta was supreme. We did not have room for dessert after this meal, and we shared everything! I highly recommend this Bistro. If Italian is your desire, you will not be disappointed. Now, if you like an occasional libation, Nora also makes a mean dirty martini. I have nothing but good vibes for this Italian Bistro. Located in the heart of Great Bridge, you can drive right pass it, if you are not paying attention. A must add to your " to go places." Until Next time, Another One!

Yelp
This is a legitimate Italian restaurant. The food is delicious. Date nights are amazing here, it has a warm and inviting atmosphere, it will define put you "in the mood". I can imagine eating dinner prepared by an Italian grandma here. The cocktail list is unique and the wine list is superb. Overall it is very clean and the service is very personal. The only thing I can critique is that the menu lacks creativity, but don't let that stop you from enjoying this Chesapeake gem.

Yelp
This is a great little Italian restaurant. Great ambiance and wonderful service. I have eaten here three times and tried three different entrees. All very good. My wife love eating here for a nice midweek date night.

Yelp
We just at celebrated our daughter's graduation. Asked her what she wanted to eat, she replied she didn't know. I started naming types of restaurants... Named Italian and she lit up!!! Typed into iPhone Maps app "Italian food" and right down the street was Vino's!!! What an absolute treat!!! The the ambience was wonderful and warm. The food was succulent and disappointing not! A party of seven, we all had various meals. We all absolutely enjoyed what we ate that day!!! We found a diamond in the rough!!!

Yelp
I eat at Vino at least twice a week, the food is the best! Always hot, delicious and cooked fresh, I love the Chef - he really knows his stuff! I moved from New York so I am pretty discerning regarding my Italian and this is a 'real' neighborhood ristorante Italiano! Friends tell me the Chicken Parmigiana is 'the bomb' and I tend to agree. Save room for the Tiramisu. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, it's meticulously clean and ambiance is highly appropriate. Definitely recommended whether new to the area or always saying 'I've been meaning to try Vino'! (Current favorite: the Chicken Francese) Mangia, abbondanza!

Yelp
Picked up Take out this evening. I ordered 3 entrees. We were given two slices of the most amazing bread for 3 people. A piece of hard black plastic was in the chicken fettucini. The Alfredo sauce was bland. No garlic or spices at all... The grilled chicken was tasty. When I poured the fettucini out of the to go container, there was a pool of oil in the bottom of the container. The lasagna was fabulous. We ordered gniocchi and asked for and paid an uncharge for Bolognese Sauce and if that's what we received there was no meat in it. A Very disappointing Birthday Dinner to say the least. A waste of $66!

Yelp
Tonight we had dinner at Vino Italian Bistro located at 138 South Battlefield Boulevard in the heart of Great Bridge. I have been by this wonderful restaurant many times but tonight was my first time eating there but it will not be my last. The decor is reminiscent of an Authentic Italian eatery that you would see in Rome. When we walked in, the first thought that hit me was "the food has got to be good here, and it is!" Our server Brooke was very helpful with menu questions and suggestions, if you are on the fence about what to order. The Prix Fixe menu for $20 was a terrific deal. What a great way to "get to know" a restaurant without breaking the bank to do so. They offer a wide variety of choices of Italian cuisine including an appetizer, main course and a dessert. My wife started out with the Focaccia bread served with Red pepper (spicy) and Garlic infused Olive Oil. This was amazing. The Focaccia was crispy and delicious and the dipping oil was a wonderful addition. I started out with the Classic Cesar Salad. It was served on a chilled plate (always a plus) and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The salad was dressed perfectly with just the right amount of dressing to salad ratio. The Cesar dressing was made in house and it was delicious. My Wife chose the Eggplant Parmigiana. This was a wonderful dish. The eggplant was crispy and delicious and the marinara was quite savory. The pasta was cooked perfectly and everything was well balanced and delicious. I only got 1 bite to try... I ordered the Uncle Angelo's Lasagna. I don't have the words to adequately describe this wonderful dish. It was love at first bite. The marinara was a perfect addition to this classically made dish! All I can say is "Mangia!" (Eat up!) We do not usually have dessert but since it was a part of the meal, we threw caution to the wind and we went for it. My Wife had the Chocolate Chip Cannoli and it was awesome. I didn't get to try it, so that should tell you how good it was... I chose the Cheesecake drizzled with Salted Caramel, Almonds and finely chopped candied nuts. The Cheesecake was delicious and the addition of the Caramel and nuts made this extra special. If you are looking for a great place to enjoy a wonderful meal at a fair price, please give Vino Italian Bistro a try, you will be happy that you you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting local business!!!

Yelp
A couple of friends and I dined here last Sunday night. The restaurant sits by itself on South battlefield. The parking lot is deceptive as it looked packed but there was still plenty of seating inside. The four of us and my infant daughter were sat right away and promptly greeted. Our server, Atalie, did a wonderful job throughout our visit. We ordered drinks and focaccia bread to start the meal. Both arrived very quickly. The focaccia was perfectly chewy and had a dusting of fresh herbs and Parmesan. my husband and I tried to of their pizzas while our friends selected pasta dishes. the pizzas were large enough to share so we ended up with leftovers, which I always like. our friends finished their dishes of ravioli and capellini pomodoro with meatballs and everyone raved. For a small Italian restaurant, they have a substantial wine list and several draft beer options to choose from. This was my husband's first visits and my second and we will certainly be back. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Took my family to dinner here Friday aug 16. I just don't know what's happened here. The staff is not friendly at all. No smiles. All looked bummed every time we have dined here. The waiter we had tonight acted so lost. We heard other waitresses ask tables about bread and butter. We didn't get one. We had to ask much later after getting drinks. The food was not hot at all. The bread was very hard and stale both times we got some. Cold. No ice in the waters. I got capellini pomodoro with chicken. Chicken was hard with a crunchy outer layer and well over cooked. When I first took my family here last year it was great. We couldn't wait to try again. The past couple of times have been really different. The restaurant is really pretty inside and we love the music.
