Emmett & Julia were GREAT. On top of taking care of all patrons throughout the space. C ru friendly and service oriented. I had a small pizza and wonderful tomato basil soup. The flights are always interesting, good options. I enjoy Vino Volos in general, often excellent service. The atmosphere was an easy 5 star…until a woman sat next to ma and yapped loudly on her phone about her amazing condo (“I mean, you’d be so jealous!”). Not at all the locations fault, they cannot control the rudeness of others (the family behind her promptly left). Recommendation: Respectful signs on the tables “Please limit phone calls to 2 minutes or less out of respect for other patrons” or something. People don’t need to be on their phones everywhere.

Exceptional wine experience within feet of your departure gate inside the PDX Portland Airport. Made my night! Sweet service and understanding of quick timing! Thank you 😊 🙏 💓

Google
Always a good stop. I actually learned they have a rewards program which is pretty cool so if you don't know about that, you could definitely sign up.

Google
Delicious food in a lovely environment. I nearly sheered off because it said it was a wine bar, and I was on the clock, but we decided to try it anyway. I'm glad we did. Super fast service, and the food was luxurious: a homemade tomato bisque and a prosciutto and melted cheese sandwich with fig jam. Filling and not too much food. Perfect.

Google
Great chairs and wine to enjoy before hopping on my flight. Olivia provided impeccable service. I really enjoyed this place.

Google
The food was awful, full of oil and greasy. I was charged $4 for the ham which I could not eat because of the olive oil on top. The servers were super nice tho.

Google
Solid airport stop with a decent flatbread (nothing special but was hot & tasty if a little cardboard-y) and nice, peaceful environment to get out of airport hustle. Loved the tasting flight options and appreciated quick service.

Google
Attempted to order a glass of wine before a long flight… the waiter assisted everyone but me, then I finally asked if I could order, never brought my glass was too busy chatting and cleaning glasses to pour mine. I waited 10 minutes then walked away.

Yelp
I was really early for a flight as the airport wasn't as busy as I thought it would be, so I decided to have a nibble. I tried their arugula salad and added Avocado to the mix. (The avocado was not a very Generous amount, and the pieces were quite Small, but it added a nice flavor. It came with a lemon vinaigrette dressing which could have used a little more zing, But Was good, Parmesan cheese. Overall the salad was refreshing and good. The wine selection is nice But very much on the spendy side. The bartender was super sweet and friendly, and provided just the right amount of Follow up. It gave me a nice quiet in the storm moment, and that's worth the price when traveling I suppose. I'll definitely stop in again.

Yelp
We had Katelyn and she was the best, made us a great grapefruit mimosa, it was great to relax before our flight with a few drinks and a charcuterie plate. Definitely be back each month

Yelp
Don't go, awful service from the gentleman who was working on 7/12/24. I ordered a sampler of three red wines, ordered a glass of the Cab, waited 30 minutes, never got the glass, asked for the check, brought one for $41.00 which included the glass of wine I never received, got the correct check for $21.00. Just checked my credit card charges today and they charged me twice, both the $21.00 and $41.00, unbelievable that he would do that, and it was intentional.

Yelp
I love Vino Volo, always a nice place to take a beat and relax after making it through TSA security. When I someday rule the world, every bar will have a purse hook at each seat and every airport will have a Vino Volo. If you travel frequently, it's worth signing up for their loyalty reward program for $2 tasting pours of select wines and a free amuse bouche.

Yelp
Caught in a long delay and had a very nice experience with the staff at VV. Kept my drink full at all times. The meat and cheese board was awesome. Wine was very tasty and very reasonable. I found this to be a great experience will be back when at the Portland airport.

Yelp
Con is simply the cost. It's very very pricey. Which I would give it 3 stars for. But the staff is super friendly, the wine is good, it's located in the Alaska terminal and it's nice to have an option that isn't a "bar/tavern" that's always packed. We dropped in as our terminal was right across from the wine bar. We were getting ready for a girls weekend and got a flight of bubbles to get us going! Good wine, convenient and lovely staff and right in the Alaska terminal!

Yelp
What a wonderfully staffed location. Everyone I encountered was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Wine can be such a subjective experience but this staff had it dialed in. I soooo appreciated the shop's buyer steering me into a delicious local Pinot blanc that tasted exactly as described and as I was seeking. It was really fun getting to try all the local Oregon wines immediately upon landing in Portland. Everything I had was delicious and again, so impressed with the staff's wine knowledge (dealt with 4 different people and not one pretended to know something about a wine they hadn't personally tasted). As a wine freak, this was the adventure I was looking for! It was my first time at a Vino Volo but I will definitely be seeking them out in the future if they're all run this well!

Yelp
What a fantastic way to end such a memorable birthday weekend extravaganza! Worn out and bloated from all the great food in Portland, I didn't mind helping myself to a medium fry from the golden arches 20 ft away from my gate, but that bougie twin sister of mine directed me to Vino Volo for the last big bang, indulging in meats, cheese and spirits! Very laid back and low key, your typical wine bar. No complaints with the service. 2 yummy mimosas and a satisfying $20 charcuterie (salami, proscuitto, swiss cheese, bleu cheese, nuts, olives, bread, maramalade, and pickles) board later (don't ever in your life skip these), I closed the tab and realized that the mimosas seemed to be a bit more than I'm used to paying in Texas (they were around $12 per glass I believe). I felt salty at first but as I rose to my feet, I stumbled a bit. I couldn't believe it!!! TIPSY FROM ONE MIMOSA!!?? My goodness! I'm not sure exactly what they put in that thing but, at that moment, it all made sense! Right then and there, I felt happy, jolly, and content! I would've gone for another, but I didn't want to be THAT ONE PERSON on the 4 hour flight to Dallas.

Yelp
Excellent selection of wines and delicious lite foods. Syrah from Santa Barbara caught my eye and paired with smoked salmon rolls. Awesome Service was friendly and attentive here.

Yelp
Excellent wine, excellent service. Food was pretty decent too. Best place to grab a drink and a quick bite at PDX airport. A little pricier than some other spots at the airport but definitely worth it and not outrageously expensive.

Yelp
Possibly my favorite place at PDX! Conveniently located near the Southwest gates, it's easy, comfortable and the service is fast and friendly. The wines are great (always something new to try) and the food is delicious. It's never a big issue when my flight gets delayed because its and excuse to have a flight, or two, here!

Yelp
The wine offerings are where Vino Volo at Portland International Airport (PDX) is a perfect addition to PDX's great food and shopping environment! The name, Vino Volo, is derived from "wine flight" in Italian. They offer wine flights for all of their wine offerings. Grouped by designation--"World Value Reds," "Sommelier Series" or "Classic Cabernets" for example--and ranging from less than $10 to the mid $20, the three samples (also available by the glass) come with info cards; relating region, varietal, winery, flavor profiles and pairings. It's a nice touch to round out the experience. IMO, you would be remiss to skip the food selection that Vino Volo offers. They have a robust menu that includes appetizers, salads/soups, sandwiches, specialties and desserts. A Fresh Pear and Brie Salad was a great introduction to the menu. In recent years this has become a very popular salad at a lot of restaurants, but for good reason. It ups the ante with crisp pear slices, candied pecans with brie cheese and a bright, flavorful champagne vinaigrette. The Cubano sandwich, with roast pork Milanesa, has a jalapeno spread that offers some sweet heat complemented the queso fresco and pineapple. Served on ciabatta bread, the Cubano continues the casual and refined theme that is the trademark of Vino Volo.

Yelp
Stopped by to have a mimosa (the mimosa sign caught my attention) and in I went. Melissa greeted us right when she saw us. She was knowledgeable, friendly and simply had a good personality. I had a sample of a wine and then oredered a glass of wine, thanks to Melissa's help. Great ambience, exceptional customer service and just a great experience. Thanks Melissa.

Yelp
These wine bars have popped up at airports all over our great country. Think back 10 or 15 years and how dreadful the airport experience was. Fast forward to 2018 and it can actually be very special. The downside of course is that the airline experience totally sucks. Oh well, back to Vino Volo. That's why you clicked on this review, right? They sell a wide range of highly rated wines either to go or for a corkage fee. They also offer wine flights or glasses to drink on site. Esposa and I shared the Sommelier Flight: a topnotch Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and an equally nice, intriguing Italian Cabernet Franc. It cost $40. The per-bottle retail price is about $150 to $170, so these are truly impressive wines. At the back of the menu is an even better flight for $65. Too late. Damn it, Jim! Next time, right? We each noshed on a small food offering that was freshly prepared and rather tasty. Service was courteous and friendly. So, why would you eat processed garbage at McDonald's or similar garbage fare rather than pay a couple bucks more and get something freshly prepared and served to you? Yeah, I thought so.

Yelp
This is my first time visiting a Vino Volo restaurant. I have always wanted to try whenever I'm traveling through an airport. I was very impressed with how friendly and welcoming the staff is. They really know their wine and made good suggestions on different flight options to try. I also had a beef brisket sandwich which paired nicely with my flight that included a Merlot, Zinfandel and Cabernet. The venue is very clean and allowed me to relax before having to catch my flight. My server's name is Emily along with Frankie and they were awesome!

Nina G.

Yelp
When my flight from PDX to SFO was cancelled and I had several additional hours to fill waiting for another one, I spent some time at Vino Volo, and it was SO nice! Great wine, of course, but also fabulous and satisfying Mediterranean platter. And the manager, Nathan, went out of his way to be helpful. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines, professional and friendly -- he clearly runs a great place. Thank you, Vino Volo and thank you Nathan!

Yelp
Ended my birthday weekend here and I am glad I did! Vino Volo has a great selection of wines and was conveniently nestled near my gate. We didn't have any food during our visit, but the wine helped with the flight!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent wine, amazing food and perfect service! So glad I found this little gem in the middle of the airport- they have fun flights of wine and tasty cheese pairings! Will certainly be back!
google avatar

Cassandra L.

Yelp
Overall 5* for an airport place! We had the burrata salad...Awesome, the lentil soup-simple and healthy, the popcorn... Awesome!, the pork taco-simple but delicious/fresh comfort food, Unfortunately the beat salad (and the chicken we had) was 1-2 stars. Chicken obviously pre-cooked, beers were canned, avocado tasted old, and the Italian dressing tasted bottled. I recommend everything else. We also enjoyed the wine and our server was lovely!

Yelp
I encountered Vino Volo while waiting for a flight returning to the Bay Area. Emily List who was serving behind the counter was a ray of happiness in an otherwise environment full of turmoil and chaos known as the airport. Emily recommended an amazing Soos Creek 2014 Champoux Vineyard Red. This wine could not have been more than the perfect selection by Emily. From its smell and taste, to how the wine matured over the course of the meal were all exceptional points to note. No one other than Emily would have been able to recommend such a fine wine to pair with Vino Volo's dishes. All the food were prepared impeccably, including the pork tacos and the burrata plate (both must haves!). Time seemed to stand still while at Vino Volo, Emily was such a phenomenal host with her ability to entertain and connect with all the travelers who came to the bar. Although the headache I had was cured after my time at Vino Volo, I gained instead a heartache. Oh how I wish I could visit Vino Volo everyday!

Yelp
Great wine, charcuterie, and service! Melissa was very attentive and friendly. Amazing option in an airport to relax, enjoy, and get some work done. The Sommelier wine flight was the best - cant yo wrong with anything from Howell Mountain.

Yelp
Wonderful find at the end of C gates! Amazingly knowledgeable about 'vino' but in a very friendly and approachable way! Try a flight of wines (I went with the California Kings) and the truffle mac n'cheese - loved the entire experience!

Yelp
Great spot to grab a bite and a drink before catching your flight. Positioned right next to an area that will often have live music.
google avatar

Yelp
This new place is awesome! Great and wine and the chicken sandwich is just wonderful! Chris at the helm is taking good care of me!

Yelp
I can always rely on Vino Volo for a calm place in the midst of airport chaos. With the soft sounds of crooners like Michael Bublé and Frank Sinatra, you will find comfortable seating options (we chose the leather armchairs) and good eats and a good selection of wines. Whether you want to take a bottle home, drink a glass here, or even get adventurous and sample a flight of wines, they have you covered.

Jennifer V.

Yelp
This is my first time at Vino Volo. The WiFi was slow, so I stuck with the PDX airport option. The hummus plate was lovely, but they will not make substitutions (although I was willing to pay extra) for vegan options. The wine was outstanding. Started with the California Kings wine flight (3 reds), then moved onto the Sommelier Series, 2 reds (cab and cab/Syrah blend). Delightful. The wine is worth the stop. Located just beyond gate C16.

Yelp
The new kids on the C-block! Great wines, wonderful alternative to the fried monotony of mass packaged foods in the concourse. Expert service, in depth wine knowledge, and concierge type consultation. Classy set up, comfortable lounge seats, mood lighting give it a sensual feel where you almost forget you are in an airport; which the staff will be more than willing to remind you of. Loyalty program gives me a $2 tasting of a super premium selection, today it was Sleight of Hands' Psychedelic Syrah from Walla Walla, Wa. Amazing retail and incentives for bottle purchases! The truffle popcorn is not to be missed. C16 trust me, they're down there; a hidden oasis awaits you.

Yelp
Lovely Rose wine flights from Oregon perfect way to relax before a flight, soft comfy chairs to enjoy your flight in.
google avatar

Tim E.

Yelp
I travel a lot. Enjoy a good wine place in an airport. Unfortunately the wine here is overpriced and sub par.
google avatar

Brianna L.

Yelp
Emily was amazing and helped me survive my red eye flight! Thank you so much! I wish you were open a little later, at least when you know certain late night flights are very full would be helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Since flying gives me a tremendous amount of anxiety and I was flying across the country, I decided a nice glass of wine would take some of the edge off. There was a tavern a little ways down that piqued my interest more than Vino Volo, but there was only one other woman inside, whereas the tavern was completely packed. I walked inside and sat at the bar. The woman working acknowledged me immediately and although what I wanted, they didn't have, she did hook me up with a delicious Pinot Noir. I saw that they also offered a cheese plate, but I had just eaten lunch. Overall, I would return when I fly through PDX again.
google avatar

Yelp
Super happy that they put this place In the C Concourse. Great/Friendly staff, good food and a great selection of wine and brew. The truffle popcorn is over-the-top good, courtesy of Sarah, super-friendly and highly recommended it as the house specialty. Happy hour before 11am... cuz it's never too early for Vino!! Frankie (Francesca) behind the bar proudly serving with an awesome attitude. Awesome experience during and prior to a "flight".
google avatar

Jean Y.

Yelp
My flight was delayed for about 3 hours at PDX and I was fortunate to walk into Vino Volo. I first had a lovely glass of wine and when my flight was pushed again, I got their burrata salad. Amazingly fresh and tasty and the price was reasonable as well. Andy and Emily were very personable and knowledgeable about the wine. If you are ever in concourse C, give them a try!

Taryn O.

Yelp
The service was fine but the price for what you received was much more than it was worth... for instance the beet and avocado salad w chicken added was $17 and was the size of a side salad. My wine for a basic Chardonnay was $16 and it wasn't a large pour or anything to write home about. Not impressed and won't be going back ‍
google avatar

Yela J.

Yelp
What a nice place to relax before your flight! They have many wine flights you can try. I really liked the California flight. The Tour de France was okay, not really my type. They have many different types of bubblies, whites, and reds. You can also purchase bottles and canned wines here. The sommelier was very knowledgeable, experienced, and pleasant to talk to. Highly recommended if you have some time to kill at the PDX airport!
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Frankie and Sarah had wonderful recommendations on absolutely everything. I got the cheese board and it was great! Fantastic service while I had a very long wait time before my flight back to San Diego! You all have an amazing relaxing spot here! Thank you!

H C.

Yelp
Please keep in mind they charge a $12 "corkage" fee for ordering a bottle. Usually a corkage fee occurs when you are bringing in outside alcohol but not here. It is not factored into the prices and the menu doesn't include it. I really like this place otherwise but I dislike being nickel and dimed.

Kaytlyn T.

Yelp
Earlier this week, I was disappointed by my experience at Vino Volo. Lovely establishment, great selection and menu, great reprieve from the bustle of the airport. Unfortunately, my server Ben cost the restaurant two stars in my opinion. What would've been a 5 star review is now a 3 after the astonishingly bad service I was given. I asked his coworker for his name so I could personally mention how lacking and under-skilled his service was after he talked over me incessantly, under-filled my water glass, and hardly attended to me in the time that I was present. His coworker was helpful and kind and brought me my check while Ben was busy not serving me in a timely manner. I would love to return to this establishment, as a local frequent flyer, but I would absolutely request that Ben not serve me, and will recommend that my colleagues do the same.

Yelp
Great restaurant in the Portland Airport. I ordered the lamb and beef meatballs. Amazing!!!! I also tried the picnic - taste of three. Three wines from PDX. Frankie was my server and she is a 5 on service. The only reason why I gave a 4 was due to being ignored for 4 minutes while people were talking. The guy that had glasses seen me and a customer had to mention me, but Frankie noticed me at the same time the customer was saying something. First time. Food was good, drinks of wine are good, Frankie was great. Thank you

Yelp
Love this place for a wine flight and charcuterie plate AND Maddy is a fantastic resource for wine and cheese knowledge . Thank you Maddy for making our "pit stop" enjoyable!

Yelp
Wow, what a great lay over! Francesca rocks, knows wine and the snacks were delicious. Be sure to sign up for points, because you won't want to go anywhere else when you do have a lay over!

Dorothy C.

Yelp
Melissa was wonderful. We really enjoyed her recommendation of the Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay.

Chris B.

Yelp
Melissa at #VinoVolo at #PDX was great. Very knowledgeable and a great sales person. Thank You.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Thank you so much for the awesome service and turning us onto the VV app Melissa!!!! We made our long layover so enjoyable. We'll be back to see you on our return trip for sure.

Deb M.

Yelp
I love a soothing place to grab a delightful bite and a glass of wine before a busy trip. I would recommend Frankie and Chris as guides on your journey to a lovely wine and a yummy bite.

Jim S.

Yelp
Fantastic airport stopover. Knowledgeable staff, nice atmosphere, excellent wine selection. I enjoyed the Northwest Flight and a yummy salad. Nice place to relax and enjoy.

Hannah B.

Yelp
Staff was rude and unwelcoming, kind of snobby being that it's a wine bar in an airport...
